I am not sure which Clark Pest branch to comment under. Either way, my service from Clark has been beyond five stars. Specifically, my technician, DIANA, is the best I have had in my four+ years. Lately, my property has been plagued with ants. Diana and her supervisor JACOB have given me the gold star treatment in their attempts to rid me of my pesky ant/roomies. She couldn't spell, had zero vocabulary and then proceeded to tell me WHAT I should have done instead of what I had done and when my tone changed to business tone instead of "friendly" due extreme frustration (I was still polite and not yelling or cursing) while I tried to explain, she hung up on me. A great way to offend your prospective customers. My suggestion to my HOA to cancel the account and choose a different vendor is going out today. There are plenty to choose from. If you want to get charged for a service you didn't receive, work with Clark. I cancelled my service and 2 weeks later they charged me again and at a rate 25% higher than they've ever charged me in the past. I called about it and they said a supervisor would need to call me back. They never called. This cycle repeated itself 5 more times and I had to threaten them with a bad Yelp review and disputing the charges with my credit card to get someone to call me back. They called and assured me I would get a refunded. 4 weeks later, still no refund. read more

I'm a new customer who recently signed a year contract for spray service when I saw roaches eek! My MIL recommended Clarks since she has been with them for 11 years (in San Jose). She has the quarterly service. In my initial phone appointment, the man on the phone said they don't offer the quarterly service anymore- they only have bimonthly. So that's what I got. The technician that came out was really nice and knowledgeable. He told he they DO offer the quarterly service but didn't recommend it because the services are too far apart to be useful. I'm not unhappy with my service but I feel deceived by the guy on the phone. If he was just honest and said what the technician said, I would have said "Okay no problem, lets do bimonthly" So instead of building trust with the client, I'm left with a bitter first impression that they care about $$ over customer care. We'll see how the year goes in terms of service and if I want to continue as a customer. read more

The rodent control component was substandard. They left a bunch of traps lying around in the attic surrounded by rat droppings. Plus a trap with a dead rat in it. They were supposed to close all the openings but an independent inspection when I went to sell my house found multiple openings. They refused to come clean up their mess despite my having been a customer for many years. On the other hand, the outside spray service has been effective. read more

While the woman was out here she insisted on blocking out the rodents from various holes in the house, insured me that she was a professional and she knew what she was doing I told her I didn't want her to do it without someone being here to spot her while she was up on a ladder at my house so she made it to where she came back and she ripped me off she didn't do a good job she left several holes no one's took any responsibility for this at clark's pest control. And I am still very upset I do not recommend them to anyone. The day she left I noticed I had a ton of ants I never had ants before. I've been disappointed many times but this is the most disappointed I've ever been being a woman I thought I could trust a woman and my only advice is don't trust this woman. Honestly I never signed up for Clark it was a company that took over Brooks Pest Control. I have spoken to "Gloria" twice and she is absolutely rude. I called on Thursday 1/06 to cancel my appointment for 1/07. "Gloria" was rude when I was attempting to cancel my appointment but stated it had been cancelled. 1/07 someone actually shows up to perform services at 8am although I requested to have services cancelled. When I called back to speak to Gloria she rudely stated "I never spoke to you and I don't even see an appointment." Okay then why is one of your guys in my yard? Anyways I cancelled my services and have to wait for a manager to confirm??! Weird rude company. Even the guy who showed up to perform services stated having issues with this company. read more

Purchased a new home that needed a treatment. The builder told me that Clark would come over at 2pm on 4-19-2019 and give a one-time treatment for bugs, paid for by them as the house was new. I left work and many important meetings for this appointment. Matthew W. a service representative of Clark came by very late at around 2:35pm. Matthew was nice enough but started by upselling a yearly contract/plan that would either cost the $150 initial fee and $84 every other month or $84 each month. I stated that I wanted to think about that and I just wanted the $150 initial treatment paid for by the builder. He stated "we don't do that, he only sell the yearly plan." Off course he left quickly enough when I said I was not sure I was interested in a yearly plan. Buyer beware of this bait-and-switch business (no pun intended). They could care less about your time or how they can help service you. I, as many out there, are sick of businesses just interested in one thing... your money, certainly not your needs. read more

I have had services with them for years and they always did a good job but this year I had wasps in my yard and they came out and cleared nests out of my yard 4 times in about a month. First off, I chose Clark because I used them in Shasta. Up there, they were amazing. I moved to Yuba City and called due to an aphid problem with our oleander trees. Kevin, the pest control supervisor and a trainee showed up. They looked at the 4 trees and Kevin told us that if we didn't handle the problem that the aphids would "infest everything green back here" (and gestured to the rest of the backyard, which is planted with tons of greenery). Then he said he and the trainee needed to come up with an estimate. During the pause, where they were calculating the cost, I was *seething.* First of all, I grew up on farms. I *know* that this type of aphid will NOT infest our other plants (except the couple of rose bushes we have). So when Kevin came back up to the door, and had his trainee try to sell us a monthly package, I called him on it. I mentioned what he'd said in the back yard and he paused and backtracked, indicating that he'd just meant the roses and other oleander plants. Considering that isn't what he said, AT ALL, I told him that he was lying and that we were done. Then I called the office, where Brad (Kevin's supervisor) spoke to me. Brad was very nice, and I am glad he's a manager there. But I'm still dismayed that Kevin is the one in charge of training new hires. If lying and trying to scare customers is how he makes sales, he shouldn't be training the younger generation. ALSO, I found out on my call with Brad that the aphid treatment would be guaranteed for one year...which is NOT what Kevin said. He tried to talk us into the monthly service package just "in case the aphids come back." The quote for this monthly service was $150 every other month (or, $900 a year). This was in juxtaposition to the $400 for the oleander trees alone. There was no mention at all of the year-long guarantee. Guess Kevin was lying to us about that too, in order to make a $500 bigger sale! Needless to say, I will never be using Clark again. It's sad, because I was a loyal customer in Shasta for five years! All I can say is, if you decide to get an estimate from Clark, don't sign anything the same day. Do some research in between and make sure it's on the up and up before locking into anything. I don't know about you, but I'd rather live with pests for another 24 hours than part with hundreds of dollars based on a lie!!! read more

customer service is horrible, I cancelled services due to them not working with me for my work schedule, I have pets and can't lock them up all day while I work, lady said she took care of it and I had nothing to worry about and they still charged me even after cancelling. I called spoke with supervisor Eric who was combative and refused to refund me what they took from my account without my permission, he lied saying I signed an agreement I did not sign as well as lied saying that I stated 7/3/23 when I didn't even call until July 17th to start services. My 1st service was scheduled on 8/2/23 which I wasn't notified of until the day of so they came out on 8/3/2023 instead and wasn't a full spray only outside they came back the 8/26/23 to put a lock on my gate and did not spray so I have paid $245 for a half a spray when my agreement was only for $110 a full spray every other month. They are a rip off and I am highly dissatisfied with the service and the poor customer service. The supervisor Eric kept telling me I had a spray on 7/3/2033 when I didn't it was 8/3/2023 I have all of the text messages and video footage from my home survalence system to show as proof And he will still not refund me. Called them at noon for them to tell us that they couldn't get ahold of the driver and would call us back. Then we called again for them to tell us that we didn't have an appointment and that they don't do one time sprays. Will never call them again! I was impressed by Christien's knowledge and his ability to communicate that knowledge to a customer. He also listened carefully to what I had to say and efficiently answered all of my questions. I wasn't planning on updating my Yelp review after giving Clark a 2 star. Even though, the third service treatment was horrific but Clark responded to my Google review. Clark Response: " Each flea remediation quote is unique and based on several factors." I guess they overlooked the problem. I loss respect for companies like these who does not take ownership in improving the customer service part of there business. It is selfish to perform shady business. I am not sure if corporate ever looks into these reviews but this already shows the poor practice. I am not saying that all Clark location is terrible but I can speak for my areas (Sacramento/Rosevile). Being that my house was wired with cameras. I am well aware of what happened on my property. The first initial service is decent. However, all services afterward is a scam. So really, your hard earning money is only base on the first initial treatment. If you ask me, that was a costly and ripoff service. I am sure the idea isn't to exterminate but to keep the bugs around so customers would continue to use there services. I won't elaborate on some of my cameras footage which is disturbing but I do encourage that if you really what to know what really happens during a bug treatment . Cold-hearted, lack of sympathy, no work ethic, and greedy. My mother passed away in November a few days after she paid 150 which included services we never had issues with so I'm sure they took advantage of her age and ill decision making skills due to declining health. I've cleaned and been monitoring the home while it's up for sale because I'm unable to take over the family home since there is a loan still on the house. There really should be a "Zero Star" selection I can't say that enough. The apartment complex I live in contracted with these narcissistic and pathetic twists and excuses of Clark Pest Control's representatives. Except they're not close to anything resembling, they act like freelancers making up their own rules that do not coincide with Clark Pest Control's Corporate policies or training. I have had nothing but abusive mistreatment from the men sent out to perform a simple service, instead I've been yelled at, and when my apartment manager told me to ask for round baits that stick to the walls, another self important bug man would not give me a direct answer (he said I don't know if I have any, and I asked more than once instead of going to his truck and checking he left it all up in the air and didn't fulfill my request)... I mean, don't these twits restock everything every day before they go out on assignments?? What's the next thing you don't know if you bought the tanks of poison spray?? Come on, this is vindictiveness at its best, simply because I talked to the Supervisor Richard about my strong concerns and serious complaints regarding these guttersnipes that keep being sent to my home, what as some sort of punishment for complaining about real issues? Then the third twit that came to my home, I mentioned something that was of concern from the previous visits and he made a very snide remark to me, and I tell you I have had it at this point with the abusive mistreatment and disservices from all that was sent to my home. He then came out of my bathroom and blared a flashlight in my face (What is that? Only police officers do that) I got up and told him to get the F*** out of my home because that was very threatening and attacking of a gesture response from him and I was ready to call the Police to have him removed and detained if possible for that unprofessional, bullying and threatening action against me. What kind of local company is this? Even the Supervisor Richard, I was told two separate times he would personally accompany the jerks that were sent out, and that never happened. What did happen was an attempt to save their own asses (what company wouldn't) is that they had the nerve to tell my apartment manager that they "refused" to service my apartment if I was home and that I had to leave. Otherwise, they'd allow the current infestation that was their stance, now I can't inform them of the particular infestation area I have to do it through a 3rd party and through my management. They had no hesitations at making me look like the troublemaker to my management with regard to refusing service in a situation that those twits created. I am so beside myself how this level of conduct and operation is permitted and allowed not only by supervisors and management but Corporate Headquarters of this company. This local company may have some positive reviews, but look and read carefully about the negative reviews, I can definitely identify with those problem issues and what those people went through. Maybe I'm not accustomed to free estimates that include useful tips, but Clark's local contractor actually helped us without charging us a cent. With some critters crawling in our walls and us not sure what the next steps were, Clark got someone out to our house within 48 hours, and showed the boyfriend a small hole in the roof and foundation that was allowing Chip n' Dale to get in. He advised us on what we could do, and we did it, and Chip n' Dale are no more. That kind of free advice isn't all that common anymore, and it was hugely appreciated. read more
