I came in to get a gel manicure. I'm not sure what her name was, but she's stumpier one of the ladies there. Extremely poor attention to detail. I had to tell her to fix it 6 times and finally gave up and asked for a discount in the front. The gel color is all smeared, layers don't go all the way to the bottom so you can see an overlap , and there's lint in the nails . Workers were nice but not mindful of customer time. Anyone who walked in they would tell "five minutes", and then would make them sit around. Trapping them by soaking in a foot spa or sitting at a nail station. I was very lucky when I walked in without an appointment, (I'm visiting from out of town) and I was taken right away. They did not do the mani pedi how they usually do (no cleaning the feet or hands) the "Nail tech" did not know what she was doing and kept looking over to the others to see how to do it . I got a pedicure and a manicure yesterday and ended up loving it! For my manicure they took so much time and effort and redid it until I was pleased with the color of my nails. This morning I ended up scratching one of my nails and it was bothering me to the point where I needed to go back to get it fixed. I went back and they were able to fix my scratched nail. Barely adequate. I won't go back. I went with a friend who had made a reservation for 2 pedicures at 9:30. We were set up in chairs and foot baths, which we repeatedly said weren't warm enough, and never were. The nail stylists didn't arrive for 10-15 minutes. My feet didn't need a lot of work but I pointed out a small callus I particularly wanted worked on. She noticed where I had other small calluses and asked if I wanted a callus treatment for $5 more. I said ok, but didn't feel I got anything more than is typical for a pedicure. What really disappointed me was that she massaged only the front of my legs, not the back and not my feet! I think she was offering me a longer massage for more money (there were signs on the wall about extra 10 minute massage for $8), but there was a language barrier. I finally pointed to my feet and she massaged them for maybe a minute each. Fortunately, they didn't try to charge me extra for the massage. Also, I prefer salons that have plastic liners in the baths for sanitation, even though In other areas of my life I try not to use disposable plastic. I wasn't there long enough to see how they disinfect the baths, though I noticed a disinfection log book at the cashier as I was checking out--I opened it and only the first page, which just listed yesterday and today's dates, and didn't inspire confidence. read more

First, I made an appointment for a mani pedi online (which was confirmed by the system) and Classy Nails called to say that time was no longer available. They told me to come at another time that day instead. When I got to the salon, it was PACKED and I had to wait 30 minutes to be seen, despite having an appointment. They did my pedicure first, then, I had to wait 20 minutes more for my gel manicure to begin. This was an awful experience. So, I head over to Groupon to see if we can find a good deal on there considering we are new to the area and I'm looking for a new shop. I found the deal for Classy Nails offering $16 pedicures with Paraffin wax. That seemed like a decent deal, so my husband bought two...one for him and one to use as a gift for me. I see on the Groupon that you need to book an appointment, so I call and speak with a gentleman who tells us to come down now. We get there and I tell him that I just made the appointments a few minutes ago. After waiting about 5 minutes, we were both seated and embarking on our pedi journey. The place looks clean and they have really cute blue and white massage spa chairs. The problem is, they don't let you control them, so when they shut off after 5 minutes, you're pretty much screwed. The woman working on my feet was nice enough, but she seemed to not care much about the pampering aspect of it. The massage lasted all of 1 minute and felt like she clearly wasn't too interested. I looked over at my husband and noticed the same lackadaisical massage on his legs too. Then his pedi lady asks him if he wants to pay $8 more for 10 more minutes. Uh, no! Then all of a sudden, they are painting our nails, WITHOUT doing the paraffin wax treatment. When I said something about it, I kid you not, everyone acted like they didn't understand English! Whatever, just stop. Because I am getting a French pedicure, my husband was finished before me. So, he went to use the restroom. All of a sudden, his nail tech looks at me terrified and asks if my husband left without paying. WTF? Uh, yea...he just took off and left his wife here...riiiiiight. After this nightmare is over, we walk up to the counter and show the man the Groupon app. But, for some reason, its only showing 1 voucher. The issue is clearly Groupon's so we ask if we can pay the $16 rate for my nails. He starts acting like he doesn't speak English again and starts getting crazy telling me that I need to pay full price, $22, plus $5 for french. At this point, I was done. I love this place!! I was super impressed on my second time there (about 4 weeks from my first visit), they remembered that I'm allergic to latex and got alternative gloves before I even said anything!! And every time since, as soon as they see me, they get the other gloves without reminder. This is sooo nice, as I often forget until they already have the other gloves on and then they have to change them and that wastes a set of gloves. Aside from their impressive ability to remember me, everyone is very friendly and helpful. I've also never had a regular pedicure last so long (I get three really good weeks-at other places I've been, I generally get two weeks before it starts to chip and the growth is obvious-even at 4 weeks, I haven't had chips from pedicures done here). Also, I'm lucky I haven't yet fallen asleep during one of their massages-soooo relaxing!!! They have earned my business indefinitely!
