5 nights dining out in the Siesta Key area and this was by far the best meal we had. Our appetizers of PEI mussels and Seared crab cakes were absolutely outstanding. The Scallops and Gnocchi was delicious! Our waiter Fred was entertaining and attentive, as was everyone who stopped by our table. Even the manager or owner stopped by at least twice to make sure we were being well cared for. This restaurant will definitely be our must stop on every trip down. read more

The over priced food was good. Service was excellent. A separate charge for cocktail sauce to go with charbroil shrimp was a bit much.

It was late, so we had a Caesar salad, the seafood chowder and the funghi pizza. Andrew was so helpful with suggestions on the menu and his service was so friendly. This was a sweet local find. The outside appearance is deceiving ...... keep going! We were here for brunch and were pleasantly greeted. Lobster Benedict was awesome and plenty of lobster. Served with a side of cheesy grits. Bloody Mary's were full of flavor. Thanks Yelp for getting us one free with check in. One of the first restaurants we tried after buying our house in Sarasota 5 years ago and remains top on our list. We have taken so many visitors and family here for everything from Breakfast to dinner. The short ribs are fabulous as is pretty much everything we have eaten here. We got in the mood for some nice crispy duck and first thing that popped into our heads was "Lets Go To Clayton's" . We get the cherry sauce on the side for dipping because we like the crispy skin. Just doesn't get any better. The snow pea side was awesome too. We think it was cooked in sesame oil but it was so good I ate all the peas first. Great place, great owner and wonderful staff. We had only been for lunch once and breakfast once because we love the diner menu so much. We took a friend visiting from CA for lunch which is served along with breakfast until 2:00. I had to get the eggs bene my all time favorite brunch item and it was fabulous. My husband is more of a sandwich guy and got the Cuban. He wouldn't stop saying that is was the best Cuban he has ever had and he has eaten a lot of Cubans. My husband is 6'3" and could only eat half because as he put it "this has so much of everything on it" feel how heavy this sandwich is. Our friend opted for the Mahi mahi tacos which is also my sister in laws favorite thing to get at Clayton's. He too was yumming it up over his tacos. Probably one of the best all around out to lunch trips we have had. Service was attentive and excellent. Going to make a point to go for breakfast/lunch more often. read more
