I have been going to Dr. Marie (aka Dr. Marie Hoang) for around 20 years now, and she is by far, the best dentist I have had. She is very careful with her patients, understanding, and very gentle. She has a passion to help her patients for whatever their needs are. I have been going to her since before I had my family, and now, my whole family goes to her for our dental needs. My wife, who previously did not have great dental care, has had a great experience with her throughout all the procedures that she ended up needing to get. She had to get a crown, tooth extractions, and implants, and Dr. Marie helped throughout the whole process, helping with the referral doctors for the implant and the follow-up. My wife absolutely loves Dr. Marie. Then there is my daughter. I've known children can be quite hesitant going to any dentist, but my daughter always looks forward to meeting Dr. Marie. It's always her highlight of the day when she gets to visit Dr. Marie. Other dentists in my past have been questionable, such as forcing deep cleanings when it is not really needed (that happened so many times with different dentists when my teeth were actually in great condition), but it has never happened with Dr. Marie. She doesn't try to do what is unnecessary, and she takes great care of her patients. For the office, it is very clean and comfortable. The receptionist has been around with Dr. Marie forever, and she is very friendly and supportive. The equipment is well maintained for the needs of the patients. It may not have the ultra fancy hi-tech gadgets that some of the Newport Beach and South Orange County dentists that I have gone to in the past, but it has equipment that are practical and provide excellent care. There is a large TV in each room, showing something relaxing for the experience. Overall, there is no better dentist for me than Dr. Marie. How my family loves her is just further proof that Dr. Marie is doing everything right. read more

Well I've been putting off seeing a dentist for awhile I'm embarrassed to say but when I broke a tooth a week ago, I knew it was time! I am not a fan of going to the dentist even more so then doctor visits so I did extensive research to try and find a good fit. I have a bad gag reflex and get a little anxious being in exam chair. Well I have to say that Dr. Marie and her assistant put me at ease with their work. Numbed area with minor discomfort from initial shot and worked with me to get X-rays even with my tendency to gag. Both were friendly and Dr. Marie made pleasant conversation and made the procedure go by rather quickly. Clean office and nice relaxing music and visuals playing while in exam chair. I go back for a cleaning in a couple weeks and have zero apprehension about returning! So glad I came here and hopefully won't need anything major work anytime soon! read more

After many not so good experiences for my son, I made the drive and went to Dr. Marie and Darryl Chong's office. It exceeded my expectations, it is truly what a dentistry should be. This is the updated review: I trust Dr. Chong as my go-to dentist for all my dental needs! Since my last review, I've become a nurse and I have seen Dr. Chong several times. I can't stress how much bedside/ chair side manner matters! Building rapport with patients is important and unfortunately lots of doctors and dentists don't take the time to get to know their patients or hear their concerns. They just do a quick check up and then ask for the next patient to come in! But not Dr. Chong! He has gotten to know me and listens to what I have to say and address my concerns. This man is thorough and attentive! Now that I have a son, Dr. Chong checks his teeth too to make sure his teeth is growing in properly and has been providing education on setting up good dental hygiene for my son. Dr. Chong was our kids' first dentist. Somehow, he kept the 2 yo in the chair with a smile and silly jokes. Fast forward 16 yrs -- he moved the practice from LA :( but we drive to OC for 6 month check ups because he is that good! He doesn't try to get you to do stuff you don't want or need. I've gone to Dr. Chong and Dr. Marie since I was a kid and look forward to every visit. Dr. Chong is such an easy-going person. The first day I came there he immediately made me feel comfortable and at home. Unlike other dentists, where I feel like I'm being rushed or it feels like a business transaction, with Dr. Chong it feels like he really wants to get to know you. I'll barely mention something during my cleaning and a few months later during my next cleaning, he'll still remember what we were talking about. He is incredibly thorough during cleanings, and I always feel so much better when I leave. I never feel rushed going here. If I ever have a question or there is something bothering, Dr. Chong is happy to help answer any questions or address any issues I might be having. Dr. Marie is also an amazing dentist. I really love Dr. Marie M. Hoang's, family dentistry office! (She is Dr. Chong's Wife and a wonderful dentist). I've known her for several years and have always been very satisfied with her work. I can honestly say, that in my experience, she is the best dentist that I've ever had. And that is saying a lot since I've had lots of dental work. At one point, I wanted to get my yearly teeth cleaning, and I found out she had moved. I looked for her and I was so glad to find her. I went to the new office on July 6 2022. Her new office is a little farther from the previous one, but let me tell you, it was worth the drive. Also, all the staff I met was kind, professional and wonderful. I can honestly, say that in my experience, this is truly a personalized dental office where the dentist and staff really care about patients. And this office definitely feels like a family. From the moment I called for an appointment, I was treated well. Even when my phone directions app failed to work on my way there, I called the office and was given instructions on how to arrive.
