First time back since they opened back up last week. Oceanic foot Spa is doing a wonderful job keeping everything clean and sanitized. They even use UV lights and air filters to clean the rooms before, during and after your massage. Everyone is wearing a mask. And being Covid Conscience. This place is much nicer than your typical foot massage establishments. Your paying slightly more too at $30 ($20-$25 at other places) for a foot massage, but it's totally worth it. Place is super clean, modern, there is always a receptionist to greet you when you walk in, and they have great massage therapists. My go to is Michael; he has very strong hands and gives me a great massage every time. It's $50 for a full body massage in a private room. Make sure to tip generously. These hardworking therapists work so hard at a very labor intensive job. Make reservations too. I usually book online. I did have an issue today when I called in for an appt for two people but they only had it down for one person. Luckily there was another therapist open to take my friend. I been so busy with work. Finally after months of not getting a massage, I made an appointment to see Cindy. My God she was horrible!!!!! I got the 40+40 combo. She literally put lotion and rubbed the tip of my toes and each time there was a 5 minute pause. I just took off the washcloth they put to cover your eyes and I saw her falling asleep. My sister said the same thing when she came here. Cindy did the same thing for the foot portion. I was so upset that I just got up and didn't finish massage. The messed up part was I paid before the massage. I should have picked Coco instead!! The front desk still charge me for that horrible foot massage. read more

Ella is an amazing masseuse actually more like a massage therapist she seemingly knows the body and my personal injuries without even asking she was able to use harder pressure when desired and softer pressure when needed Ella did a fantastic job with my back pain and my shoulder issue. I have been coming to this spa for four years. They recently moved to another location which is a new layout and allows for a more relaxing experience heading to the treatment rooms. I use the MINDBODY app which makes booking appointments easy. I always get a full body massage. You have the option to fill out a body chart and customize your massage with type of pressure and areas you would like them to focus on. I've had several of their massage therapists and each time I've had good experiences. However, my favorite is Michael. I don't have to fill out the chart or say anything. He does a preliminary assessment at the beginning of our session and knows where to focus his attention. He's a huge part of my self-care routine and I've recommended him to my friends. I'd also like to add that the front desk staff is nice and helpful. I usually see Amanda, who has always been warm and friendly. They've seen me often so I don't get questioned about tipping my massage therapist because they know I do. If they ask you it's because one of the reasons they keep their service prices low is so their staff can benefit from the tips. read more

I LOVE foot spas! This one was no different. It was clean, quiet (except one lady snoring hahah), and so relaxing. For first timers, it was $25 for the foot massage. I loved every minute. The one bummer was they normally lift my shirt and massage under the shirt (or at least ask) but the lady put a towel over me and massaged my back through a towel and my shirt so I couldn't feel it as much. Either way, I would definitely go back because I loved how clean and relaxing it was and the massage was amazing regardless. read more

Came here on a groupon. I called day of and they were able to get me in same day. Staff was friendly. The masseur was also friendly. Checked in several times to see if pressure, environment, etc was okay. Massage was in two parts: 1) 40 minutes of general and foot massage in community room. I really liked this massage. Despite the lack of privacy and people moving around, I still found this really relaxing. 2) 40 minutes full body massage in private room. This I didn't like as much. I asked for firm pressure. I usually like firm, but for some reason today really hurt. It felt more aggressive than firm. I felt like someone was just grinding into my joints and muscles; it wasn't very smooth. But I didn't bother to tell the masseur; so I wouldn't rate the place down for it. It's likely he would have adjusted if I had said something. So that one was probably on me. I also saw a lot of reviews saying they had issues with tipping. The business has a sign right when you go in.. $5 for less than expectation, $10 meets expectation and $20 for exceeds expectation. So regardless of whether you think you need to tip or not, you know the business' expectations going in. While I do agree with a lot of reviews, tips should never be expected... you shouldn't be surprised when they ask for tip, considering they basically request $5 dollars minimum and its posted in store. (which I don't mind. I would rather know expectations up front and then can decide whether to go or not then get surprised after service, but I can see why some people do not like this) read more

You can check off boxes and circle areas you need to work on or skip right before the massage starts. Cici is my go-to gal. She always is courteous and does a good job. My SO and I booked the 40-40 massage and were able to get a slot that was hour and half from the moment we called. We thought was pretty good. The facility was clean and the check in process was pretty straight forward. I got Steven and he got Cici. I had an Ok experience with Steven. The oil massage was definitely more lubricated than others that I had experienced before; but hey, first time for everything. There were a lot of down times in the transitions - towels, hot stones, more towel; it definitely felt like 40% of time was just down time. It was difficult to tell if it was just facility layout, but it was still very noticeable how much down time or non-massage time was occurring. Nonetheless, he hit some spots that was not bad and massage was reasonable. But to help mitigate the transition, they could either turn down the AC or have a heating pad on the table; because it was pretty cold during the waits! I felt a bit like a cold fish. My SO on the other hand did not have as good or reasonable a time with cici. The foot massage was extremely ephemeral despite requesting firm and the actual time spent on foot therapy seemed very very small, reduced to almost 5 minutes of very light treatment. Then when switching to body and requesting firm, it was only nominal improvement. Overall 20-30 minutes of meaningful massage out of the total 80 minute session. The best possibility is that this was the end of a long day for the workers and it was a one time bad massage. The other possibility is that it was simply over advertised and a repeated case of poorly executed by the masseuse(s). We were one of the last customers on Sunday night, so there was no one at the front desk when we were finished. So no one to feedback on what happened on the spot, hence the yelp review. Hopefully Cici could improve; because we were looking forward to this 4040 so much and came away so disappointed. read more

You like it rough? I wasn't expecting that but I went along for the ride. He bought a Groupon deal for a couple's hour long massage which combined 30 min foot and 30 min hot stone massage. We took off our socks and sat on the oversized reclining chair with our feet soaking in the hot foot bath (supposedly filled with "herbs" to help you detox, but it was dim in the room so I didn't notice) Our masseuse came, introduced themselves and put a towel over our eyes and told us to relax while they started the foot massage. I CAN'T STOP GIGGLING. I'm the worst at getting foot massages (that's why I never get them!) worse, I really had to stifle my giggles because we were in a communal room where several others were getting foot massages too. So, SHHH people! After 30 minutes of kneading my feet, I got transferred over to a private massage room. Coco was nice and gentle at first, but I asked for more pressure and she did give it to me! I was especially sore on my shoulder area (aiyah, lots of typing at work and yelp reviewing at home!) so she kneaded me quite rough. There was not much technique or flow to her work, but I highly enjoyed the hot stones after she put them on me. It was then that I just breathe and said, "Now, this is the SPAAAHHHH part!" You can't beat the clean facilities, the friendly masseuse and the affordable prices. Just know that the parking area is a cluster-eff since this is located in a shopping complex next to Costco. read more

Oceanic is like a cross between Burke Williams and your more traditional foot spas. You pay slightly more than other foot spas but you also generally get a better massage and the facilities are slightly cleaner. Did the 40/40 combo foot massage/Swedish massage Mon/Tues cash special with Rita. Been going to her now for a few years. Normally I do the 60 or 90 min Swedish massage, but wanted to try something different. The foot massage was in the common room. Forgot how nice the warm water feels on the feet. Stayed on my back the whole time and Rita worked my body really well! The Swedish massage was in the normal private room. Stayed on my stomach the whole time and my back got worked! I went to Oceanic Foot Spa before for Swedish massage, but this was the 1st time I had Deep Tissue massage. It was the best deep tissue massage I had. I've tried deep tissue massage on several chiropractic and massage clinics before, but this was the best one I've been to so far. Michael was able to pop all the knots at my back and he was able to provide the appropriate pressure for deep tissue. I love coming here! It's been a few months since I've been in due to finding the time since I'm a new mom and so busy with my new baby. I can't wait to go back soon! Last time I was in I asked for a prenatal massage and although they don't specialize in those they still were able to adjust to make it work and offered to make it as comfortable as possible. They were so careful and helped me place the pillows on the side of my belly and in between my legs for comfort. The massage was great and they were being very gentle during my pregnancy massage. Before I was pregnant I would love to get the foot and body combo and Swedish. My favorite masseuses are Alex and Rita! They are awesome! They are both very great at knowing where to start with pressure and always ask during the massage if the pressure is okay. It's very nice of them to give me a cup of water after to make sure I'm hydrated. I love how friendly front desk receptionist always are! One of my favorite things about oceanic foot spa is that sometimes if I don't schedule ahead of time they can still make time to squeeze me in same day. I think that is so important. Four friends and I booked a massage for our "Girls Day" and it was a perfect way to end the day. It seemed like my massage therapist, Lucy, knew where my knots were and worked on them with the right amount of pressure to loosen them up. All of us were relaxed and refreshed after. The only thing I would ask of others who use this service it to KEEP YOUR VOICES DOWN before and after your massage! I was jolted out of my relaxed state when two women next to me wouldn't stop whispering to each after their session was over, gathering their stuff, then sitting at the edge of their beds telling each other how great they felt. Please, save it for when you leave. Very irritating and I got all tensed up again. Maybe there should be a sign posted reminding people to be mindful of others and to keep quiet. read more

I had been a longtime customer of Oceanic Foot Spa, until I received a "promotional" email in which the company used the Butte County/Paradise fires for their professional gain. It is absolutely insensitive and selfish for this establishment to use such a tragic event, (where thousands of people have lost their homes, hundreds are still missing and many have died), to promote a discounted offer of $60/90min massage using the promo code "Paradise." This is absolutely disgusting. Paradise, CA has been completely turned to ash, and this company is using it as a promotional code for their own profit. If Oceanic Foot Spa truly cared about the lives and wellness of the victims and those effected, they would donate all, or a portion of, the proceeds from this "special offer" to a victim relief fund. Possibly even, they could take their services to the fire zones and offer massages to victims or first responders. I'm extremely disappointed at the lack of compassion by this company. read more

Really good massage with Cici, she was very professional with my girlfriend and did a great job even though we were her last client of the day. Jack, however, was subpar. I didn't feel relaxed during or after the massage as I only felt half hearted pushes. At the end, I can tell Jack had run out of techniques as his movement grew increasingly fast and lazy.
