I have never written a review for him before because I was worried that he might become too popular and it would be harder for me to get an appointment, but I feel it's time I share my experience with others. Jack knows exactly how much pressure to use for me as I have been going to him for few years. I like my massages firm and he always deliver. What I appreciate most about Jack is that he respects my time of relaxation. He doesn't try to engage me in conversation or act like my friend just because I have been coming to him for a while. The girls at the front desk are super nice, I think one was training the other. It was my first time, recommended from my cousin. They're efficient, you get a name tag of your masseuse and they come out to bring you in. I had a private room for a 1 hr deep tissue body massage. Alex was my masseuse. I request for strong hands and thats what I received. Very professional and very nice. You pay in the end and tip at the counter as well. I will be back. The foot massage was amazing-- the neck, head, scalp massage that comes with it was fine...... the back massage that comes with it was not. I highly recommend using the massage guide they provide even if you are doing "just the foot massage." You can mark on it areas you want them to ease up or avoid. Nancy was AMAZING! She listened to my requests and delivered. She knew exactly what I needed. I have been suffering from intense low back pain for months now, had difficulty sleeping and getting out of bed. I feel like a new woman after Nancy's massage. I had a 1.5 hour Swedish massage with Cindy this evening. It was especially good- nice firm pressure with long, slower, "fluid" strokes (I noticed that Asian masseuse can tend to go quickly with their movements/strokes at more so than European spa masseuses). The place also called me ahead of time to inform me that they would not be able to start my massage at the originally scheduled time, but they were apologetic, professional about it and gave me a discount for inconvenience. I have been going to Oceanic Foot Spa for nearly FIVE YEARS! During those five years, I have tried out other spas out of curiosity but nothing ever compares! Their massages are so affordable and everybody there is talented and consistent! It has never been easier to book an appt. online, it's so simple you simply choose an available date and time with your prefered masseuse and it is always confirmed immediately! I also love how they provide you with a body chart before your massage which helps clear communication between the client and the masseuse on what areas need extra attention or if there is an area you don't want touched (for instance you might have an injury somewhere) This extra step insures getting all of those sore spots covered! I usually get their 40/40 combo, it is the best for anyone that spends a lot of time on their feet! They escort you out of the waiting room and into a public (yet dark and quiet) room while they start you with a warm foot soak. They cover you with a towel and cover your eyes which helps make the public room feel more relaxing. While your feet are soaking they start off slow with a head, neck, shoulders, arm/hand massage. I really like this part because it gets you to a nice and relaxed state before the massage! After they finish the over the clothes massage portion they towel you dry and start the foot and leg massage. For the second part of the 40/40 combo you are moved to a private room where you can undress and get comfortable. The masseuse then gives a full body massage with warm oil and hot stones for the next 40 minutes. I have never been dissatisfied with anybody here, all of the staff is fantastic! Lately I've gone to Nancy who follows my targeted areas according to my body chart and is able to deliver that deep tissue pressure that I prefer! She also is very intuitive in what areas need work, I always leave feeling like a renewed person! I highly recommend Oceanic Footspa, they are the best in quality, price, professionalism, convenience, cleanliness, and consistency! You won't be disappointed. I almost didn't want to write a review as then more people will find them amazing place. Oceanic Foot Spa is the best affordable massage place in the San Jose area. It is clean and you get the best massage for the price. There is so much availability so you can almost always get it on any day or time and you can schedule online through their portal. They also sell 10 packs of massages that make the price even more affordable. It's a great way to get all of your Christmas shopping done at one time. Make great teacher gifts too! I have had both their hour foot massages (with clothes on) and deep tissue massages in a private room and both were amazing! Highly recommend this place. I've been here a couples times now but last night I got a 90 min hot stone with Winnie and she was AMAZING. I suffer from migraines and had just had one that morning so I knew I needed to go get a massage to fix all the tightness in my neck and shoulders. I felt like she loosened all that tightness without hurting me (like a deep tissue would). I like that this place pretty much always has someone that can take you that same day. It makes it very convenient for a migraine sufferer like myself that cannot predict when they will need a nice massage last min. I also feel that this place is still very affordable, especially for what you get. My only suggestion to the owner is possibly offering a "migraine massage" where you just focus on the next shoulders and head. Man I would pay $$$ for that. I know when you go in you can fill out the little diagram where you tell them to focus your massage on but I feel like none of them really follow that. They have their routine and they stick with it no matter what you mark on there...but if you had a specific massage for neck/shoulders/head, I feel like it would be very popular. Especially in the world we are living in now with all of us working from home at our desks. A neck and shoulder massage would be essential for me. read more

I've been pretty shocked by the service the past two times I've visited. 1) After our massages, the masseuses (Amy and Lucy?) walked us to the front desk and blatantly asked for tips before we were allowed to leave. When we told them we already gave tips to the front desk, they didn't believe us and wanted to confirm how much tip we had given them. I thought this was just a one off. 2) We decided to give it a second shot but told the front desk about our experience. She let the masseuses (Amy and Linda) very clearly know that tip had already been put in their tip boxes. Following that, we proceeded to have the WORST massages EVER. We were led into the room, and only told to sit down with a hand gesture. The masseuses did not seem happy to with us, and kneaded us way too firmly and didn't give us the usual good service (i.e. asking if the pressure was good, rushing through the entire massage) .... I felt like I got hit by a truck this morning!! Geez, if that's what we get for not tipping the desired amount... tip isn't even mandatory, its TIP ladies. read more

When a new foot spa opened in my neighborhood, across from my marvelous oasis nails spa I had to give them a try. So the outside does not look imposing... And those of us in the neighborhood still remember that it was once a RadioShack :-) once you walk inside the interior is elegant and has an excellent vibe about it. When I came in to make my appointment I spoke with the gracious manager Sean. When I came in for my treatment in the afternoon Vanessa was equally helpful and upbeat. And my service with Emma was outstanding. She is very gifted and was very attuned to my comfort level. Compared to other foot spa offerings this definitely felt a cut above, and one thing to mention they had a lot more private rooms than you usually see, all of them very nicely appointed including a couples rooms. I had a great massage this past Saturday with Jack. I felt so relaxed I kept falling asleep and waking myself up b/c I really wanted to feel and be awake to remember / enjoy. The price was $25 as a new person and the environment was okay. I tipped $10, so $35 total is not bad for a 1 hour full body (although it the 1 hour foot massage). I love the head massage the most and maybe thinking about asking for that to be the focus next time. However, clean for an Asian foot massage spot unlike a lot of of other ghetto places. I was hoping to have tea after, but they served water. I def recommend this place and will be going back every month. The Almaden location I felt was much nicer and a better for me as it is closer. For new timers - be sure to register online and select the foot spa with Jack. This will actually be a full body head to toe and turn over massage with clothes on but still deep tissue. Best to come with lose clothing (shorts or leggings), no accessories, flip flops, no makeup, no hair done - to capture the full relaxation. Alex was amazing here. I have a very hard to reach knot behind my shoulder blade which often still hurts after a massage. I have tried so many places and end up unhappy. I used the body chart to tell him where my pain was. Instead of giving the area a few extra min, he gave it a solid 20 min it felt like. It was immediate releif and I wasn't sore the next day. I had a massage yesterday (9/7) and it was honestly the worst massage I've ever had. Her demeanor was lovely and she was very kind but she is not a trained massage therapist as their website claims. The worst part: SHE MASSAGED MY SPINE. I could not believe what was happening when she first did it. Then she USED HER ELBOW to dig in between my spine and muscle. I'm almost sure that not one of my actual muscles was even touched because my spine and kidneys got worked on the most. I woke up today worse off than I was before I went to Oceanic Foot Spa. The icing on the cake was when she laid the hot towel on my back and neck and started massaging my neck with the scratchy towel. I didn't know I would be getting my neck exfoliated as well. Needless to say my back is in lots of pain. I wanted to post this so that folks would be aware and maybe choose a different option. This could really hurt someone. Classic case of "You get what you pay for". Winnie is a lovely person but her massages are not recommended. read more

Please be careful when booking with this spa. My wife and I had booked over the phone and I received a verbal confirmation that we were booked for a Sunday evening massage. Before hanging up, I asked if they needed my name or phone number and they confirmed on their end who I was. We get to Oceanic and mention my name and time of booking. Unfortunately, they did not have us down. We ended up having to book for a different date since all other slots were unavailable. As I've mentioned, be careful when doing a phone booking since there isn't a paper trail for it. All I had for reference was the time and day that I had called in. Definitely a place where you can say, you get what you paid for. This place is an upscale place out of all the other Asian foot massage places that I've ever been to. Will I ever come back to this place, I don't think so. The usual spot that I go to is not far from this joint and needless to say, I'd rather go back to my other joint. The lady I today basically put me in pain and the spot that I normally go to, they have me in a relaxed state of mind. I've been to many spa places and even the fancy spa places in Napa and I've NEVER had any one asked me if i tipped the person that has provided me service. Well.. I'm a little disappointed in the quality of my service, especially after reading highly reviews of this establishment. Went last night and was original asked if I could switch my masseuse that I had booked originally to accommodate and balance out their schedule. I agreed, not knowing what I was walking in to. The masseuse I was placed with was nice but did not apply much pressure when I had asked. She repeated most spots and seemed to rush it. The spa itself was extremely clean and sanitized.
