I removed my nail polish from when I took a break from gel and got a straight manicure. IT IS SO BAD. my nails have never been so flimsy I can't even open a soda can without them breaking. They used the nail sander thing to clean my nail and they shaved it down so much it created small little brown lines underneath my nail. Not only that but the nail feels rough instead of smooth. I don't idnderstsnd how they can accept that as a complete manicure. Nails are ruined for my bachelorette I have to by target press ons instead of getting my nails done so it can get stronger for my wedding so so incredibly sad.

Incredible! Tanya usually always does all of my nails! She is always so patient and understanding and will go above and beyond. She is so patient and so sweet. I really recommend her. Her quality work is always so nice. She always gives me the most perfect results. It was her first time trying this technique today and she absolutely did an amazing job. She's always honest and upfront about what she can do! Highly recommend her she's so sweet always engages in conversation and I always leave so happy

Last month I came in for a man pedi and Sharron (mani) and Victor (pedi) did a great job. Sharron especially was very meticulous and thorough, which I appreciate. My most recent visit, however, was not so great. Despite there only being one other customer in the shop, Hien rushed through my service and my nails look sloppy. I even brought up that a section of the top coat was bubbly and uneven and she seemed mad that I asked her to fix it, even though it took 2 minutes. My nails are sloppily painted and the surface texture is uneven and the gel is already starting to chip off. Also, I have a thyroid disease that makes my hands shake randomly (it's like 5 seconds of shaking then it stops), and she laughed at me. I tried to explain to her why I shook for a few seconds but I don't think she understood me. Personally, I would have asked "are you okay?" instead of laughing at my client, but that's just me. If I do return I will make sure that I request someone else.

I went a total of two times the first time was great, got a French tip pedi. So I went back for the same treatment. Got worked on a girl who didn't have any of her own tools or polishes and kept having to ask every one for help. She couldn't do a French tip so we went all white. It has been 2 1/2 weeks now and after removing the gel polish my toe was completely green from all the un sanitized tools she kept grabbing from everyone got fungus for the first time in my life at 27 this is insane don't recommend

Great affordable nail salon near SDSU. Lots of students always in the nail salon which does make the vibe kind of young, but the nail techs are really good and the prices are so reasonable that I keep coming back. It's fairly easy to get in for an appointment almost any time of day. I also love their eyebrow waxing as it always comes out perfect. I get builder gel done and they always do a great job will my fills. I've tried designs several times and they come out better than I expect each time. I also book a different nail tech each time and my nails have come out great each time and I tend to be a bit picky. You can't beat their prices for pedicures ($28 base price) or builder gel ($45 base price) plus the great job they do. Parking is a big issue in this area though so give yourself enough time to look for a spot. Also, their options can be slightly limited for gel colors and new products like cat eye compared to more expensive salons, but again you can't beat their prices for their quality of work.

There are parking spaces in a small corner plaza. We called to hopefully get an availability since our regular spot was booked for the day. They were able to accommodate for a slot within 30 minutes. The staff assigned for our pedicures greeted us. I thought overall, the lady was good. The only thing i didn't like was her hands were softer on the massage part. Otherwise, i can def come back here.

Normally, I do not write reviews, let alone like to criticize places of business. But, I got a mani and pedi done here my last two sessions, and both were not what I asked for. While the first set was nicely done, it was completely different. The first set the artist had completely gone around what I had asked for. I won't fault them for how they looked, other than length, because I kept getting pushback and argued with when I kept asking to make the extensions shorter, only reply I got was "they would look weird short". Color was another issue, because they had only realized they were "out" of my original color right before applying the first coat. Again, other than the nails being left field from the picture I showed, they turned out quite nice, even if the length took some getting used to. And, no complaints about the pedicure this time, that turned out great. Second time I came was why I write this review. The pedicurist dug way too deep into my nail when cleaning my cuticles, and did NOT stop when I was jerking my foot in pain. I was too nervous to say anything but I was visibly uncomfortable, biting my fist and at one point scared I was going to start bleeding (i did not). But either way my right big toe is swollen and tender the day after. Now, the manicure. The color I had asked for was a champagne rose kind of color, and it came out green on the first nail, because there was a black base applied first. Cute shade of green, but again, not what I asked for. I spoke up this time and asked to change the base because of the color difference. The manicurist was not happy and got visibly irritated, at which point I think they started rushing through the rest of the set. I'm satisfied with the color, but the nail extension itself is thick and uneven, and I can see the remnants of my last polish on this set. I didn't want to cause any more trouble, so I tipped everyone, and left. But, only for the time spent, and honestly I do unfortunately regret tipping. Looking at the other reviews, maybe mine were off experiences, I actually heard about this place from a friend, so maybe I had off-luck here. I just wanted to share my experience. I posted the pictures of both times I went, from what I asked for vs what i got. Also wanted to add, the artists were different for everything.

During this past set my nails came out very low quality the gel x was thick like acrylic thick and the glue for the nail over flowed onto my skin. My cuticles were cut after which did not give off the clean look. I asked for it to be cleaned up after noticing while walking to my car. They kindly assisted but has I mentioned my concern I was gaslighted to thinking It was my own preference not the error of their own. That everything on my nails was normal it was just me. I hate to make a negative review because the service use to be great but it just seems to have gone down the quality isn't what it was. This is it after being cleaned up the before had glue overflowing till they drilled it off.

About a month ago, I was a regular customer at this shop until an unfortunate pedicure. The male manager was in the process of buffering my feet and was taking a really long time with the right foot such as going over the same spot for over a minute. He appeared to not be paying attention and I started feeling a severe burning sensation. After urging him to stop, I immediately noticed the blood and an open wound on my foot. Even after noticing I was in immense pain, they had the audacity to ask me to put my foot back in the bacteria infested water and questioned me as to if I had a callus, which I did not rather than take responsibility. After drenching the wound in alcohol, we did not further the pedicure and the female manager took over just to rush the process and filed some of my toe nails down uneven, so my toenails don't even match! Rather than to let me go for free for the hospitality, they charged me $50 and continued to tell me that they "didn't know what happened". This experience has followed with a lot of pain as the wound ended up getting infected affecting me playing in my sport along with work. I ended up following up with them with a call and they told me that they would give me my refund. When I went to get my refund however, I wasn't given an apology or anything, in fact the female manager laughed in my face and just handed me the money. This is one of the most unprofessional businesses I have ever stepped in and won't plan on going back again. read more

I want to start the review by saying that the space was clean and I only waited until about 5 mins after my scheduled appointment to be seen. Anna, my nail technician, was really sweet and she did a good job! I don't know what the other reviews were saying by how friendly the staff was because they weren't friendly, they were working on their person and talking to each other. I am not saying they aren't friendly I went towards the end of the day so this is just my experience. The reason why I'm giving this place 3 stars is because of the price. I booked a gel manicure which was $33 dollars and I was charged $53 dollars for my nails. Maybe the design costs have gone up but $20 for a simple design is excessive in my opinion. It was my first time here so im debating whether I'd go back to this nail salon. read more

I went here for the first time today and I had a great experience! I got the dip powder and my nails turned out exactly as I wanted. The prices are good, there are lots of color choices, and the interior of the nail salon is very nice. The only con is that parking here is limited, but I will definitely be back! read more

Cute place! My sister and I got the European pedicure it was a nice upgrade from the regular version. One tip would be to make a reservation, we just walked in and didn't realize how popular they are! They helped us book a reservation for later in the day so we came back. Overall good experience. read more

I just had my first experience at this nail salon, and Teresa really blew me out of the water. She took her time to put on a new full set of acrylics for me, she listened to what I needed/wanted, and she was so gentle. I'm very picky about my fingers because I have very sensitive skin, and with what I do for a living, I need my nails to be pretty specific. She took her time, listened to me, and I love the result. I will definitely be coming back to see her for all my nail needs in the future! read more

Great place to get your nails done ! First time there went because my sister in law gifted me a certificate for Xmas. Got my gel mani and pedi . This is my second time coming here. It's clean and is a cute place, very roomy in my opinion. I didn't get the name of the lady who did my first manicure but the nails in the picture were done by Anna who was very nice and shaped my nails exactly how I wanted! This was my first time coming to the salon and it was amazing. The staff were super helpful with getting me seated right away helping me pick out the perfect color explaining the different types of pedicures. It is really lively the atmosphere is great. They offer complimentary drinks such as water Sprite Coke. It is really pretty inside bright pink. The massage chairs work amazing unlike other salons where certain features don't work on the massage chairs. read more

this placed used to be Amy's salon, but now is a new revamped place!! lee still works there and the owner is very good in what she does!! it's very pink inside and aesthetic and i wish i hot to take pics, but guess you'd have to come here for yourself ;) definitely book an appt to make it easier for you! they have an ig and has a link where you could make appointments or just call ahead of time!! anyways Amy (coincidentally lol) did my acrylic fills from another place that was very poorly done but i just stuck it out (fixed it myself ), and she did them v well!! she was v nice and actually asked me every step of the way if i was happy with how it looked! i also wanted to try matte gel nails and it actually looks very good in my opinion! i love it and i'm very happy with how it turned out, she took her time and was very detailed! the french tips were just how i liked it bc miss girl actually asked me how thick i wanted it :') She's also very close to SDSU and right next to Chinese food if you get hungry afterwards! will be coming again especially since you get a discount your first time and you also get a stamp card where you get 15% off after 10 times of coming here! i don't get my nails done often but when i do, i'd like quality, so i shall be coming back here next time! :)) *shared pictures of my left and right hand!! idk if these pictures actually do them justice but im in luv read more

I've never stuck to one salon because I've never found a place I genuinely liked but, after getting my nails done twice (full set acrylic and fill) at Cloud Nail Spa, I will definitely keep coming back! They really take the time to shape/file your nails and make sure it's what you want unlike other salons that seem to rush clients to take another one. They're also spot on with nail designs! read more

I had been going to another nail salon. They changed ownership and the new owner's service started going downhill right away. I had been going there for 4 years. It took me a while to find this place after extensive research. I came here to get my wedding nails done about 2 weeks ago. I was so busy, I forgot to post a review. Im going to start with saying you are offered something to drink as soon as you walk in. The service is wonderful. My sister, mother in law and I brought in an inspiration picture of what we wanted. I asked for a few rhinestones and asked the girls for suggestions. Let me tell you, they went above and beyond. We were happier than we expected. I have gone to places that tip off your acrylic, these girls actually wrap them in foil and remove them carefully. Also, usually nail techs don't have the materials or knowledge of how to replicate designs. They had a ton of options. Im posting a picture of my nails when they were complete and how they look today. Apart from my nails growing out, they haven't chipped or cracked. They just opened so they weren't super busy, but I would book an appointment, I feel like they will start to get busy. read more

For you to have replied to my comment and block me from replying just shows how wrong and disrespectful you are. I NEVER liked or agreed to the shape nor design. I had to leave because I came in 5pm and didn't leave till 8:45. Blocking someone from replying to your comment shows a lot about your business and staff. I showed you a picture and got nothing like what I wanted. I left disappointed like I have said before I left. You can block to feel better about your actions but it won't stop me from speaking my mind. This salon is VERY unprofessional and VERY disrespectful to their customers, CLEARLY. For you to try and justify your actions says a lot about how you treat your customers. I have NEVER been treated like this at ANY salon before. You guys are very disrespectful and clearly don't care about how your customers feel. People come to a salon to distress and feel good and I got the total opposite. Made an appointment for 5pm and didn't leave till 8:45pm because of how many times Amy would stop to do someone else's nails and tell me she is the only one that can do designs so they need her help. I asked for a dip powder in an almond shape and she made them so thick into stiletto shape. My nails hurts so bad from how much shaping she was doing. Not only was the shape thick but the dip powder itself was made SUPER thick. Charged me $80 for the worse nails I've ever received. Amy is very unprofessional and very disrespectful to her customers. She was getting upset at other customers around me while doing my nails and I was just quietly observing. I used to go to this nail shop when it first opened up and they had a completely different staff. This staff genuinely needs professional training when it comes to listening to what the customer is asking for before you do their nails. I will never come back here again & I have never be disrespected the way I had at this salon. read more

First time at this nail salon. I made my appointment online the day before which I felt was very good & easy to setup. Showed up at my appointment 5 minutes early. They asked me to wait which wasn't an issue. I noticed two other ladies waiting & the salon was full with about 6 nail techs. They asked me to sit in the chair & I waited until 35 minutes after I arrived for them to start. The lady explained they were short staffed so I was understanding on that aspect. I got a French manicure gel nails. Nothing fancy, I don't ever get acrylic nails. After I left I noticed I had two cuts on two fingers near the cuticles. Also some of other cuticles are red & sore. I also noticed areas where the nail tip wasn't fully covered with gel. My boyfriend said he could tell they didn't look right. I will sadly never go there again. I read another review saying they focus on long acrylic sets so don't go here if you want basic gel. Update: Later in the day my nails & cuticles were hurting so badly I had to completely remove the gel. Luckily I have all the salon supplies to remove them. I put cuticle oil & covered with bandages on the cuts. Very disappointed read more

I scheduled an appointment for 5:30 pm I got here early and one woman started filing my acrylics then stopped. Another woman did my pedicure and at 6:00 pm Victor the manager told me another woman would be doing my nails at around 6:15 pm. When I complained he kept saying "you got here early ". Does that makes it ok to make me wait???? after being assigned to four women I finally got my nails done. It only took two hours and 45 minutes on a semi-good note the manager finally after was apologetic and gave me a 10% discount. read more

This is my favorite nail spa! The girls here are amazing! I always ask for my girl Anna cuz she always follows through with my vision. Tammy is also amazing at handling her own clients and greeting everyone at the door while multitasking and taking appointments on the phone. This is by far my favorite nail salon I've been to in my 30 years living in San Diego. All of the ladies are wonderful! Sharron does my nails beautifully every single time. I can show her an idea I like and she replicates it perfectly. Tina's pedicures are amazing! I always look forward to my appointments and visiting the salon! read more

I came to this salon because a friend recommended it and she had nothing but good things to say! So after having a bad experience at a different salon, I decided to go to Cloud Nail Spa because I thought "what do I have to lose?" I must say I am so happy I came to this salon, I got my nails done Saturday, Dec 31st by Sharron, she took her time removing my existing set, and despite having an injured nail I felt zero pain. She then proceeded to do my nails and I must say I was impressed by her quality of work and her attention to detail, making sure my nails were perfect. I am a week into my set and they look new, no lifting, no chipping nothing. I get compliments all the time. I will update this in a few weeks to see if they withhold another week or 2 before I get fill read more

Both my daughter and I got pedicures and my daughter also got a manicure, no gel (my daughter is 10). They said they couldn't do a design on her nails cause she wasn't getting gel, they could only use stickers? My pedicure was mediocre, I've never had a tech immediately go in with an electric file. I guess she assumed I had gel on my toenails? I paid for the pamper me pedi, but it felt very basic. The pedicure itself was sloppy. My daughter's pedicure was good. However her manicure chipped in a day. I get that regular polish chips much more quickly than gel, but if they only want to work with gel polish, then they shouldn't offer regular polish. I was disappointed in the end. It felt like we were being penalized for not getting gel. Even though we had an appointment, I felt like we were in the way. I'm so sad, I really thought I had found my nail shop.

What could have been a 40 minute visit took twice as long. $65 also felt excessive for regular polish, I've gotten gel polish for that amount at other salons. Customer service was also meh - she seemed annoyed when I asked to swap out the color after testing it on one nail and didn't recommend any additional services like at other salons. What was even more frustrating was that by the evening three of my nails were already chipped! Will not be returning, don't recommend!

The massage chair is big but has no cushion. It felt like I was sitting on a fold up chair. Even though they look and feel old and worn down the massage was really nice. It's a very nice salon...very clean. If you look around trying to find stuff then you will. You can leave tip as venmo, zelle, cash app, or cash. I would go back. It's close to home and I had a good time! Oh complimentary drink and snacks too!

I'm a black woman with a generation going back about 14 yrs with Lee. The new owners are terrible and they have lied about Lee. I have and will continue to follow Lee wherever she goes. I'm glad she quit Cloud Nails and is living her best life along with her daughter! They are beautiful people and are "NOT" prejudice by any means at all. I would not recommend Cloud Nails to anyone! Amy! I don't care what you say, or what you think that I don't know. I've known Lee for a long time as I said before, she is not prejudice nor her daughter. If Lee had to defend herself or her daughter, she had a good reason to do so period! You have bad management there at Cloud Nails and you should check it out yourself without them trying to cover up what they do! I'm done with you and Cloud Nails! After trying so many different nail salons, I finally found a true jewel Cloud Nails! The staff here always makes me feel welcome. They're attentive, sociable, and genuinely care about their clients. My girl Amy always greets me with a smile. She's so sweet and does my nails beautifully -- they look natural and amazing every single time. For my pedicures, Rose is my go-to. I would put zero stars, but I can't. Me and my friend made a reservation multiple days before to get a full set of acrylic nails on their website, which prompted us to go to off of Google maps. When we arrived the day of our reservation the place was packed and they told us that they don't do online reservations, and if they cancel dollars, but they never did. We have to do a walk in and they said no and sent us on our way.
