Awful customer service! Rude servers! You seat yourself in the restaurant so I found an open table (plenty of tables, all were dirty). The server was in the area but she ignored me for at least 15 mins. The waitress finally stops, no greeting and ask with an attitude if I needed a menu. I replied yes, she came back, threw the menu on the table and walked away. At that point I decided I was not going to deal with poor customer service. I grabbed my bags and left. You have to seat yourself when you arrive, which is fine but once I did that it took very long for someone to take my order. Before I could order, the first thing the server told me was that they did not have silverware and she did not explain why . I ordered a chicken quesadilla and arancini balls, neither was very good, and no she did not bring me any silverware but I did notice customers that arrived after me and sitting at the bar were receiving silverware. read more

Service was great, the bar was decent with polite staff. The place seemed to be doing well. The burger was horrible. It had a taste of freezer burn and spoiled cheese at the same time. The chips were slightly green with what seemed like a pound of seasoning dropped in the middle. I can say the music was amazing the place was packed so MAYBE this was a one off experience. One cancelled flight and a second flight being delayed I had quite some time to kill. I took a seat at the counter. My server Derrick immediately acknowledged me. He was sweet and attentive with refills and very understanding about my delays, never making me feel rushed. I sat & read my book for two hours, as he continued to greet each new customer with the same welcoming demeanor. He helped to recommend a delicious breakfast. Hearty portions and came out quickly. We went to the restaurant at 7:30 and they had closed the grill. The hours are not correct or consistent. We have been here multiple times before catching a late flight. And they are very inconsistent. And when you ask them about it they are rude. Said the manager said to close down the grill at 7:15. Who closes down at 7:15 on a Friday night? and you no you have late flights going out and you've been open late before. Fix your website, please! I was thinking that they were short staff which would be understandable but know they were cleaning and just ready to leave. Like I said rude and unaccommodating. Eat before you come to the airport. Wow. This was some nasty food. Avocado toast plate like I have never had. It said it came on an everything bagel, with two eggs and berries on the side. I got the eggs, but then the avocado was the spread you get in a tub on wheat toast with a sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning. And the toast got buttered first!!! No berries, just a bunch of mushy grapes in a cup. So slow, and another customer was asked by a Neighbor what he had and if it was good and his response was "the breakfast sandwich and I guess it puts food in you." Not a glowing review. read more

I try to be very objective of airport food but then some you just cannot ignore. First MUSIC IS TOO LOUD! and Too much objectionable lyric for family fare. I had my noise canceling headset to survive. Service?? Non existent if you are running for a plane don't stop here! The diner is seat yourself. We were able to sit at a booth and were happy to find an outlet to charge our phones while we ate. The server came quickly to bring menus and take our drink order. We both ordered the burger (lettuce wrapped). The food was mediocre. My burger was very well done. My partner's was better than mine (didn't get a pic of that one). Brilliant service and excellent food, with a wonderful atmosphere as the crew works together for a really hard job: keeping weary travelers happy. Mags, Somalia, and Rebekah worked their tables with an orchestration that was a wonder to behold. A mother with two small children and not much time was treated with exceptional empathy and professionalism, with food bundled into to-go boxes last minute without missing a beat. I travel too much, and this is far and away my favorite place on the road. The fact that I see many of the same faces working when I'm in tells me the management team does an excellent job hiring and retaining talent. All around a jewel in Richmond airport. read more

Oh Richmond! This is what is, a basic airport restaurant with okay food at high prices. So many airports have upscaled and have awesome options, but RIC keeps its old school. My flight was delayed, so I knew I had time to kill and sat at the bar to eat and do some work. It is great they have power outlets under bar to charge your phone, but they weren't working. I almost left, but bartender said she might just need to flip the switch (reset fuses?). It took her another 5 min to do it (worked, yay), so after 10+ min of debating and hovering, I was able to settle in. Bartender was nice, but slow. When I wasn't sure which beer to choose, she let me sample 3. That was great, because I only ended up liking one of them. I asked for a food recommendation and she suggested the chicken shawarma sandwich. Placed my order for that with fries (up charge from house made chips). They brought it out with the chips and I remind her that I ordered the fries. No problem, they brought those out after a few minutes. Sandwich was actually really tasty, good flavor and texture. Glad I swapped for fries and corrected the mistake. She left the chips (you can't re-serve them anyway) and they were not good - lacked flavor and crisp. The fries were much better. Bartender asked me to close out check, since her shift was ending. I get it (worked in restaurants for years) but just find it tacky. I think servers should just work those details out behind the scenes to make sure they allocate their tips appropriately. Given the lack of options in RIC, this may still be one of the better? read more

Let's start with the positive... Ashley was lovely. She was kind, attentive, and a great server. The double drinks were healthy doubles. The waffle fries were hot. The Club Level Grill was across from our boarding gate. That's it. First, the music sounded more like Friday night at 'da club than I'm about to board a flight across country. (But hey I'm not a Rap fan.) Second, when Ashley approached, she had to list the 9 items they did NOT have on a Tuesday afternoon. This included; chicken quesadilla, fish sandwich, queso with chips, and any form of shredded cheese. Unfortunately, that was out exact pre- flight order. So burger and chicken fingers with chips it is. Third, the "house" chips were bland and tasteless while the "Angus" beef burger was no more Angus beef than I am the Queen of England. (I'm a Texas Ranch girl, I know my real beef!) So, if we had to do it again, we would probably grab a bite before the airport since all other food option were closed. RIC truly has fliers over the proverbial barrel. Again, if you're looking for a quick cocktail before the flight this is your place. Hopefully, you get a great server like we had in Ashley. But if you're looking for a decent bite to eat, you may want to look elsewhere. read more

They substituted soggy potato chips for corn chips, never asking if that was OK. I had to ask for pico and they provided awful salsa. The melted cheese was too salty to finish.
