Sad to say that Club Pilates is a pyramid scheme. They have limited class offerings for Level I, which is hardly a workout, that are almost always booked a month out by repeat members or are unattainable if you work at all during the day. Even their weekend classes are limited and booked. Past that, you need 10 beginner classes to do any other classes offered at the studio, which they make impossible with their schedule. Before signing up I also recommend reading the agreement in depth, from the large signing fee that isn't mentioned until right before payment in addition to the $200 limited monthly membership, they also will not legally let you cancel your membership for the three-month contract even if you are unhappy with the experience. Past that, you have to apply to cancel even before the end of your second month to be approved, yes approved, to terminate your membership at the end. The instructors were always very nice and so were the people there. The studio was always clean and so was the equipment. But the management is clearly capitalizing on its location and customers. read more

Been going for six months and love the way it makes me feel. I go mid morning so no problem getting classes. The studio is clean and the front desk and management are always polite. I have some favorite instructors that push me to improve which I really like. I just increased my membership so I could take more than 8 classes a month. read more

I showed up to attend my first class and was told once I got there that I couldn't participate because I did not have 10 level ones (which was news to me that this was a rule). considering I woke up early and drove there I think they could have made an exception. I signed up for membership on 9/9 and tried for 3 weeks to come but nearly everything that was a level one and also when I was available had a wait list. Canceled after a month. Recommend for drop in classes. The studio is clean and nice. Update: yes, there is a wait list which typically has 5 to 12 people at any given time. The chances of all people canceling is slim to none so waitlist is meaningless unless you're number one or 2 on the list read more

Club Pilates Buckhead studio has the same owners as the Chastain, Brookhaven, and Sandy Springs studio so with an unlimited membership I am able to attend classes at all 4 locations, meaning there's always a class available to me! Since all of their instructors go through the same club Pilates training, you don't have to stick with the same class each time to be familiar with the exercises. As with any new workout, it takes time to build muscle and correctly do the exercises but the instructors are very knowledgeable and want to help you grow. I think it took me 6 weeks to feel comfortable going from a level 1 class to a 1.5. They have a good variety of classes so you're not doing the same style of class every day if you don't want to. The receptionists are all so fun and responsive, I feel very welcomed every time I walk through the door. Grip socks are required to attend classes and if you forget yours, they sell them in studio so you don't have to miss your class! read more

I received a promotional offer for a free trial period. Called to reserve a class came in and ended up with a small first month discount for twice weekly beginner classes. In retrospect, I believe that's their standard practice. Beginner class was all they ever had during the hours I was available. It got really boring and unhelpful doing the same very low intensity exercises twice a week. There was no way to switch things up. I had only done daily walking as exercise for a few years, and was living with back pain and hopeful to activate my core muscles to improve my posture and back. Those beginners' classes were ridiculously easy, and I didn't sweat a drop. I might have gained strength, balance and muscle if I had been able to vary the movements and level of difficulty, but that wasn't possible. The schedule doesn't offer variety during the middle of the day. I had done Pilates at a physical therapy studio a few years ago, and found it more difficult, and also more helpful. The owner is abrupt, unsympathetic and inflexible. I wasn't aware at the time that there are other Club Pilates in town that might have a class schedule more appropriate for me, which leads me to think this is not a chain, but a franchise, along the lines of other "wellness" businesses. I'd be surprised if the instructors are certified in the Pilates method, but that's Georgia. One more thing: I read Marcel G's review in which she describes always full classes. A year later, no class was ever more than half full Unless management improves, I expect to see an empty space for rent at Peachtree-Battle Shopping Center. read more

I've been coming to CP buckhead for almost 2 years now and it's has sparked my interest in Pilates so much. It's a quite diverse Pilates studio from the members to the instructors. It is worth reposting my workout partner's post. We went through this experience together. I liked the people we met and hope this company improves it management - Poor management. The way the system is set up, it was always hard to get into lower level classes. Most of the time you have to waitlist and hope something would open up or beg the staff to extend the "use it or lose it" monthly credits. Also the cancellation policy is haphazard. The contract says a 30-day written cancellation notice is required, so we handed in a written notice. We were then told there was a form to fill out and the District Manager would contact us. She never did. Several times throughout our last month, we would tell staff members that we had no contact from the District Manager, each time they would promise to send her a message. It took a month to receive an official acknowledgement of the cancellation. This was done by email. Meanwhile, we were unable to get into classes to use our last two credits, so a staff member kindly extended our last credits into the next month and scheduled the classes for us. Right before going to class, we found out that the system bumped us out of our two remaining classes because our membership officially ended by then. I was told by the District Manager, that she could reschedule us but couldn't promise that it wouldn't happen again. Bottomline, we paid for two classes that we aren't able to redeem unless we were to get lucky not to be bumped out of the classes at the last minute. This is highly unlikely as most classes are waitlisted. The District Manager seemed to blame staff saying they gave us wrong info and though several staff members said they would reach out to her, they never did. The District Manager saw nothing wrong taking 30 days to acknowledge our cancellation notice. In fact she blamed us for the cancellation not going as "plan" because we gave them a written notice per contract and not the mysterious form we heard about but never was given. I admit I kept interrupting her every time she blamed someone else, but it was so frustrating because the staff was always nice and tried to help as much as they could. I love this studio. This is my first time doing pilates as a workout and trust me the instructors here are what makes the workout great!

I've been attending this studio for over two years. My core strength is much greater and the low impact movements have helped me recover from old injuries much better than physical therapy. I am stronger, more confident and have better reflexes! The instructors are great and do an excellent job of explaining the moves. And Tiffany behind the desk is always a delight! This place has become a community where I've made friends and I look forward to my classes! read more

So grateful I found club Pilates! I never loved going to regular gyms but club Pilates has changed my perception on working out and getting active again. Have been a member for over 3 years. Within the last 6 months the availability of classes has dramatically decreased. Classes are completely booked weeks in advance. You can get on the waitlist but often get notified at the last minute. There are often times where there are no evening or weekend classes at all. Have changed my membership from unlimited classes to 8 per month now going down to 4 a month because I can't get into any classes. Management doesn't seem to care. This is the Buckhead location. read more

If I could rate this place a zero I would. Their instructors suck and they're intentional about finding ways to legally try to coerce you to pay for their terrible services. This is me for the seventh in four months, today trying to complete the form AGAIN to stop these thieves from trying to bill me!!! No one is here as you can see. This gym is closed!! I will file a class action lawsuit against them for trying to scam me out of money and their closed. I can see they have a reputation for lying and losing cancellation paperwork!!! If I could rate the business side of Club Pilates - Buckhead zero - I would go lower than that! I suspended my account for a medical condition and two months later, I needed to cancel membership. Pilates is a recreational activity, asking customers to prove medical issues in order to cancel a membership should be a violation of HIPPA. I had to prove a medical hardship in order for them to not charge me. Heidi - their regional manager further informed that I had to reactivate the suspension for them to charge me for classes we wouldn't be taking in order to give them another 30 days notice before they would cancel. I fully understand that you are running a business, but your policy and how you handle your customers is a disgrace. Just HORRIBLE and I plan to report you all to the Better Business Bureau for HIPPA violation. read more

i am so disappointed in the service at this club. i had a membership and went to classes. I had classes cancelled at the last minute and was told certain instructors don't want people they don't know in classes. Their schedules are limited and they have no consistency to find enough classes. When i went to cancel my membership i was just told fill out the form. The person i spoke to did not care. And after being cancelled on the last 2 classes i tried to attend, they charged me another month per their policy. There aren't many traditional pilates studios. This gym is the worst! I have been attending for about 6 months and it has been the worst experience. One of the instructors Kathy who's about 60 years old is absolutely crazy and rude just like the greedy owner. Kathy is disrespectful and mean to the clients and if your not a size 2 like her she will call you out yell at you and it's awful...... I stop going to this gym about 2 month ago so I decided to give my 30 day notice on March 2 and figure I would not be billed again on March 25 being that the gym is closed do to the current pandemic we're going through..... but I guess the owner is in desperate need of money so she calls me and give me 2 options to extend my payment for 2 weeks or some other crap! I explained to her that I gave my notice on March 2nd so why are we having this conversation..... she said basically I could only choose from the two options she gave me..... hahaha How dare her tell me I'm forced to pay later and continue to attend that dirty possibility infected gym....... I told her I will see her in court if she thinks she will bully me into paying another dime. Update..... it is now April 7,2020 and this crazy owner of the buckhead location is still harassing me for money and they have been closed since March 19th indefinitely....... she has serious problems please DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION........ this woman must be about to loose her business chasing me down for money and she's not open ....... if you need more clarity please call me 404-736-4635 I transferred from the Woodstock location which was a better experience..... go to any location but the buckhead location.. it's small and dirty and you may catch some type of virus!!!!! read more

I took the 30-minute free demo class here with Adam. He was such a fun instructor and was so good at walking me through the Pilates Reformer experience. I wasn't the only newbie in the class though so I felt right at home. The equipment was clean and comfortable. While the exercises can be difficult, I never felt unsafe or unstable. The demo class also includes an overview of the class types and membership types that they offer. After the class, the staff was adamant that I sign up for a membership or enroll in another class. Their sales approach made me realize that Club Pilates is a chain. One of the staff members came up to me after class while I was putting on my shoes and asked which membership I would like to enroll in. It caught me off guard because I was not planning to enroll that day. Overall, this form of exercise is a precise, equipment-intensive type of training. They said it was great if you have an injury. I found it to be fun and it offers an amazing amount of variety. The studio is fancy and the instructors are well-trained. It is a place where you could get a very personal experience and have an instructor that knows what you need individually. I will definitely keep them in mind if I decide to pick up Pilates as a hobby! read more

I attended one class and after purchased a 4 single class pack. They assured me that this was not a renewing subscription and just a one time fee. Now they are charging me monthly and say I have to come in to cancel but before the next bill cycle aka I will now get charged another $90 before I can make it because I live 45 mins away. Horrible service. Do not join unless you wanna be roped into a contract and burn your money. Their cancellation policy is ridiculous, but I still followed it and cancelled months and months before I moved like they said to... and they still kept charging me after the date they had specified payments would end. Then they said that I never came in and they had no record of me cancelling. A woman at the front had me fill out the cancellation documents, sign them and everything and months later...still charging me HUNDREDS. I came here on a Sunday for a free demo. My instructor was Megan. I am definitely in the need of some core and stretching since I have been doing a lot of strength training. The studio is located in Buckhead in the Peachtree Battle plaza. I was the only person for the demo which was awesome. I felt like I was getting a 1x1 private session. I have done Pilates twice in the past and enjoyed it. Megan gave a brief description of the equipment and what we would be doing today. We performed various exercises that engaged the core, glutes, and every other muscle group. Megan was patient and explained every exercise and made sure I maintained perfect form. The demo lasted 30 minutes, but I enjoyed it. I will drop in for the full class to see how I like. I don't see myself paying $200 month but I would drop in for an occasional class. I am already paying for 2 gym memberships right now. read more

Beautiful reformer studio in a fantastic location in heart of Buckhead! I was surprised how many class are offered everyday. I got a tough workout and the cueing was smooth. I went with a friend and we were personally greeted by name and with a smile. This studio also has large retail area with lots of fun swag. The studio is clean and the prices are more than reasonable for Pilates classes that incorporate such a variety of props and apparatus. Sign up is easy- you will be glad you did!! read more

One of the most reasonable places for your money in Atlanta to practice Pilates. Knowledgeable instructors but classes can be a bit rush. Beginners who have never done Pilates, it can be a good idea to take a few private classes to get used to the equipment or you may be discouraged during class. I would give it a 5-star if they have a better freeze membership policy. Beware that $15/month is required to freeze your membership and if you cancel your membership before your first 3 months, you will have to pay $100. If you signed up for the membership, missed classes do not roll over. Membership also not transferable from one club to another unless you sign up for unlimited membership. I love Club Pilates! The instructors are very knowledgeable and able to adjust any movements for injuries - something I feel is super important and that often gets overlooked. I love the class size, which isn't too big where you feel invisible/overwhelmed and isn't too small where you feel put on the spot. Reformer is my favorite class! Good friend recommended it and I came for the intro class. You can always ask for a pair of socks to borrow for the intro class or if you forgot it ( happened to me couple times). After you sign for the membership you get discounts on any purchase. Equipment is in a great condition. It is hard sometimes to book into class you want last second. I have unlimited and work out in other places when travel for work. Instructors are very different and you can always find the flow you prefer! read more

Are very resistant to letting you move any sessions over to the next month, and when the cheap toilets they have purchased do not work, they tell you how to fix the inside of the toilet yourself, so you can also be a plumber in addition to taking a class! I'm totally loving having such a beautiful space for my new pilates journey! I tried demo last weekend in January - their "demo" weekend and joined immediately following. The space is beautiful and I've made sure I've taken classes from every instructor because they all have great talents in different areas. One of the early morning instructors, Adam, is the absolute BEST! He is upbeat, fun, and provides very applicable cues and corrections. The one suggestion for the staff, is that it would be helpful to have some consistent classes (e.g. A level 1.0 every Tues at 6pm) rather than what feels like class types jumping around from week to week. Perhaps that will smooth out now that they've been open for a couple of months. The CP team are friendly and helpful and their app is so easy to find/register for classes. And the best part....the other CP members/class attendees are fun to be around! Thanks for opening this studio!! You've made me a reformer fan for life!! read more

Extremely disappointing and a waste of hundreds of dollars I'm embarrassed to say. I really gave this studio a shot but between the classes not being very challenging, the most difficult ones were comparable to the warm up at most studios, you are paying a premium to be stretched. You will also only be able to get a seat in this class if you book your classes weeks in advance as they have more members than they have seats as only a few instructors are actually going to get you a mild workout. If you are okay with wasting 50 minutes there are lots of seats in the classes the regulars won't touch. I really wanted to give this place a shot and adored one instructors class but hers fill up weeks in advance so there is no chance of getting in without normal schedule of a few days notice to sign up for a class. I am out hundreds of dollars after about 3-4 months of checking my app multiple times a week and not being able to find a seat in a single class I wanted. I am really sad this was my experience but I will be canceling my membership as I have to find a studio that will give me a challenging work out in the 50 minutes allotted and have classes available to work around my schedule, not the other way around. read more
