You can expect a diverse crowd here on any given Friday. From Hipsters, to local drunks to... I don't even know what. Karaoke usually draws an unusual crowd and that's what you get here on a Friday night! It's a big place. Two bars, one in front, one in back. Beer selection is pretty standard. Don't ask for a Cider. They'll look at you like you're from another plant. Internet jukebox is always a plus as the selection is large. I do have to say, this is the ONLY bar where I was able to play my beloved country tunes (real country, not pop country garbage) and start a sing a long. All in all, it's just a divey bar with excellent people watching.

Unfortunately, the overall dining experience didn't live up to the setting or the price point. For nearly $300 for two people (before tip), I expected the food and service to reflect the premium experience the restaurant is clearly striving to create. Instead, much of it felt underwhelming. My entrée (the octopus with chorizo over potatoes) was particularly disappointing. Without any prior notice, the potatoes had been substituted with French fries because they had run out. Had I been informed beforehand, I would have ordered something else. While I understand substitutions happen, this one fundamentally changed the dish. The fries weren't crisp or thoughtfully prepared; they had the texture of fast food fries and felt completely out of place beneath such a delicate ingredient as octopus. Rather than complementing the dish, they detracted from it. Overall, it feels like the restaurant is aiming for a Michelin level dining experience in both presentation and pricing, but the execution and attention to detail don't yet justify that level of expectation. We still made the best of our evening and enjoyed the atmosphere and cocktails, but those alone weren't enough to make the experience feel like a good value. This wouldn't make the list of even my rotating restaurants, and I don't see myself returning unless there are meaningful improvements to the food and overall dining experience. If you want cocktails this is the place for it.

Seating is a real strength -- tables, bar, booths, and semi-outdoor seating that's great in decent weather or when there's something going on. Whatever mood you're in, there's a seat for it. The menu's got plenty going on, but I'm there for the bar staples and they nail them: wings, sliders, burgers, fries. Drink selection is wide - everything solid. Practical stuff that matters and nobody mentions: parking is plentiful, and it's never been wildly packed any of the times I've gone. Also - and I mean this as high praise - the floors aren't sticky. You'd be surprised how rare that is. Good spot for a game, good spot for a burger, easy to get in and out.
