I had to change my eating habits due to some health issues that left me with only being able to eat a low fat diet and a few other restrictions I'm getting used to(WHAT? No more bacon???!!!). I was in the hospital for a little bit so grocery shopping fell by the wayside and when I got home there weren't too many choices for lunch at the house. My hubby ran here to grab something and I have to say I was very happy and thoroughly impressed with how moist the chicken was. He got me two pieces of chicken and a chicken burrito for himself. The burrito looked delicious and he said it was very good after eating it in about 3 minutes flat! Haha just kidding but he ate it pretty fast as a result of how good it was! I was only able to eat one piece of chicken before I had to take a nap(eating lunch is a pretty strenuous activity!). I ended up heating up the other piece later for dinner and while it was still good it was a tad dried out. I honestly think it was other factors that caused this like the fact that my hubby put it in the fridge in the styrofoam container and not a sealed container, and I heated it up in the microwave (another mistake...should have used the oven) for too long. All in all I liked the food and am pretty interested to try other things once my system is up for it! read more

"So Cluckin' Gross" Went here and got the chicken salad with a side of avocado sauce, charged me just under $10 and there wasn't even hardly any chicken in the box. Salad was gross and looked see-through, tomatoes were yellow-orange color, ranch had the consistency of yogurt and tasted gross, and the chicken they put in the salad was more small bones than chicken. I used Cluck N Pollo catering for 50 people and it turned out great! We picked up our order at the predetermined time and the order was hot and ready to go. The potato salad and salsa were separated from the hot food items so they remained cold and fresh tasting. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The beans are homemade tasting, and the rice is delicious-different than typical Spanish style rice. The potato salad recipe is homemade tasting as well. I have been to this place a few times- my last experience the chicken was extremely dry- basically couldn't even eat it. I am not a complainer so I didn't go back I just chalked it up to an off day. I decided to give them another chance and let them know that last time my chicken was very dry and wanted to make sure I didn't get an over cooked one this time. This place is a 'mom and pop' and the only one of it's kind in Rancho Cucamonga. Don't bother buying rotisserie chicken from a super market or wait in line at Costco. This chicken is great just the way it is but you can use it in any chicken dish you like, especially tacos and burritos, chicken & rice or whatever you heart desires. He gave me a few different recommendations and was extremely helpful. As for the food itself, I ended up getting a 3 piece combo and let me start off by saying that the chicken is was cooked to perfection. The skin was crispy, the meat was juicy, and it was seasoned perfectly. As for the sides, they were equally as delicious. The beans, the rice and potato salad all tasted like they were homemade. I don't have anything negative to say and I'll definitely be a regular from now on! Come for the chicken, Cluck n Pollo's version is far superior to Juan Pollo and el Pollo Loco. The skin is crispy and flavorful, the meat fall off the bone and tender. I ordered the 3 piece combo, which came with sides of rice, beans and potato salad. If you eat in, there is a salsa bar with pico de gallo, a mild and a hot salsa and pickled carrots (to go cups of sals are extra). Aside from the chicken, I was unimpressed with the all the sides. The salsas aren't spicy at all, but points for the freshness. Service ordering is counter style, and the lady that took my order was super nice. Saw the Tuesday 2 whole chicken special and was excited to try a new chicken place, but very disappointed, the chicken's texture is very questionable, the meat is mushy and does not have any bounce. It's like the texture when you chew your gum for too long. Humm at first the food looks just like Juan Pollo Chicken! Gees they even copied the entire menu. Basically same prices. They even named everything basically the same. You got the looks and names right but here's what you got wrong... I came here a few nights ago and ordered a mini meal. Came home and opened the chicken and BLAHHH got disgusted by the first things I see...the chickens tail had little feathers and not just one but my goodness at least 20 or more. You can see the chicken was not cleaned and prepped properly (I was going to take a pic of it for you guys but it was just that gross) so I threw the entire chicken away and just ate the sides. The rice just like Juan Pollos is very bland and over cooked. The beans we're actually delicious. Better than Juan Pollos.
