Not only was he inexperienced and unknowledgeable but he DID NOT make an effort or spend reasonable time to assess our issues. He was looking at our pipes and valves for like 5 mins - didn't know what's going on then called someone for an opinion. He said it was our irrigation system problem which was totally false. He also said the irrigation pipe was leaking - No, there was no leak from there. We then explained that even when the irrigation system was shut off, we had the same issues in the house!!! Asked them to send us an experienced tech to look at our problem again. Well, they told us to request a second opinion- (thank god, AHS sent us another company who finally found a real issue!!) During the complaint process, they did not get back to us and ignored our phone calls. (They stopped answering my calls but when I used my husband's phone, they picked up right away!) I just wanted to say this to them. Please listen to your customers, and you guys should hire more knowledgeable people. It was not just about getting covered by AHS or not, we really wanted to find our problems and fix it! Had an outdoor faucet leaking water. Noticed it right before a weekend and was worried about water running all weekend. (We diverted water to garden and lawn to prevent waste). Called our home warranty and were assigned CM Plumbing Services. I left a message with CM Plumbing; however, they were not open on Saturday's. I received a call from CM Plumbing on Monday and was able to get an appointment on Tuesday. Plumber came out and he quickly identified the issue and explained what was needed to fix leak. He was on time, very friendly, knowledgeable, and communicated well. Unfortunately, he didn't have the part in his truck and scheduled appt to come by next day. As a temp fix to stop the leak, he installed some type of fixture. He showed up the next day and in a matter of minutes, replaced the leaky faucet! SCAM WARNING!!!! if you have a slab leak, I definitely don't ever go with this company. American Shield Home Warranty assigned this company to my house to perform a leak detection. I called and scheduled an appointment. I informed them that we do not see the leak or structure damage. This company assigned 1 of their technicians out the next day. This guy came our with NO TOOL to do leak detection, and that was on Friday. We had to rescheduled to Wednesday for them to send Chris out, who they said will have tools to perform leak detection. Wednesday when Chris came out, he was at my property less than 10 mins. And he said we had a leak in the garage. He also mentioned we have post tension foundation and will need to reroute, and quote us $5800 for the reroute, not including construction repair after. And because it cannot be fixed, the warranty company said they don't cover. I spent the next day and a half calling them to request for the report, and of course, they tried to be very vague with their findings. They wanted us to pay $5800 for them to do the repair. We called different plumber to come out, and the information Chris provided at what he called his leak detection results were not details. It did not call out which pipe was leaked, so no other plumber could give me repair quote. I ended up hired American Leak Detection company, paid out of pocket, to have them perform another leak detection. We found out that we have a leak in our kitchen. Nothing had to do with the garage that Chris had on his report. Did I mention Chris also stated we have post tension foundation? This was wrong as well. We do not have post tension, and that means we can go through the flooring and fix the leak at a much cheaper option than reroute to the ceiling. My quote for repair for a reroute with American Leak was $2450 or fix through flooring was $1700, compare to a quote that Chris provided was $5800 at the garage pipe. This is a joke. This is totally a scam. I provide evidence down her for you to take a look, and if you're assigned to this company, please run far from them. Don't waste your time with this company, and don't let them SCAM YOU!! After I fixed the leak that pointed out by American leak, i have no more leak. That tells you CM is totally a scam. This people claim to be the best in plumming, they came in and replace my water heather, the guy told me that the previous piping and instalation did not comply with city coding so in order for them to instal the new unit he redo the piping wich cost me doble the price price they charge me over 3k. Few monts later i saw a small leak at one of the pipe he replace ; this has damage my new unit which now is rusted on the top and company denied to fix this problem that they had cause due to their own neglection. My previous piping was not on code (acording to him) but at least it never leak before I am sure they have not any Idea what city coding is or means.Look for other company. read more

I would not recommend CM Plumbing Services to anyone. CM Plumbing Services was referred to us by the home warranty company Old Republic because we had a leak in our shower drain. Tyler from CM Plumbing came out and took a look at the drain and did not even try to fix the leak and left. When I got him on the phone later and asked why he didn't do anything, he said because the shower drain pipe was not perfectly plumb (straight up) so the leak couldn't be fixed and we would need to take out the whole fiberglass shower enclosure and redo the WHOLE SHOWER ENCLOSURE AND THE DRAIN in order to stop the leak. I explained to him that this leak only started happening a few days ago and the previous owner lived here for five years and never had a leaking problem, and If the leaking was caused by the drain pipe not 100% plumb, it would have leaked from when it was first built because the drain pipe was never perfectly plumb. Still he did not want to do anything but immediately referred us to a restoration company called Live Well Restoration, who would give me a price to demolish and redo the whole fiberglass shower enclosure and redo the shower drain pipe. This would cost at least $3000 and a couple of weeks without being able to use the shower. I had a feeling that Tyler was not interested in fixing the leak and was only trying to get us to redo the shower which would be a hugh ordeal! So I took some pics of the shower and the drain pipe and sent to another plumber Mario. And here is the response I got from Mario. "...The fact that the drain pipe has been in use for a long time tells me the drain pipe not being perfectly plumb is hardly the culprit here. If the leaking was caused by the drain pipe not perfectly plumb, it should have been leaking from when it was first installed. I can see the problems most likely is at the joints. As a simply fix, I would run a clear bead of waterproof silicon caulking around all joints to prevent it from leaking. If the caulking does not do the trick we can replace the gasket which I can do next week as I'm currently out of state..." Not a plumber myself, I bought the silicon caulking from home depot for $7 and did the caulking myself. I attached some pics here. And it's been two months and has not leaked ever since I did the caulking. The difference is clear: $7 vs $3000 and a hour of my time vs two weeks without the shower. Bottom line: CM Plumbing was not interested in fixing the leak for us. They were just trying to take advantage of us by leading us to go thru the hugh ordeal of redoing the whole shower, which turned out to be totally unnecessary. I would not recommend CM Plumbing to anyone period! read more

I had some guy show up and immediately without really investigating my issue says it's the wax ring, I told him it's slowly leaking, and we already had that changed. I said this needs to be fixed and he walked out gave me nothing, and did nothing. what a damn joke. wouldn't recommend to anyone! We had a shower faucet that would not run hot, cold was fine but no hot water. First American sent out CM Plumbing to sort the problem. Sam arrived right on time and after trying for 20 mins to take the faucet apart told me that he would need to cut off the cover as it was stuck on with all the water minerals. He would also need new parts to make good the repair. we arranged for him to come back the following week. He arrived as agreed to cut the faucet cover and in doing so found he also had to replace the valve and cartridge. He did this and replaced the whole faucet and did a great job. I have a feeling that we will need to do the other shower faucets before too long as they have a build up of minerals too. I will be straight on the phone to CM Plumbing as they get the job done. BEWARE Put in a claim through American Home Shield. Made appointment and gave pretty specific details about what my issue was which is a leak just on my side of my water meter. Guy came out, no shovel, so I dug up my yard. Before the grass was even up, he said he needed to call his boss and then American Home Shield. AHS said it wasn't covered, I disagreed, he said they'll be giving you a call, I went inside to grab my phone and computer to look at my contract. Came back out after trying to call American Home Shield and he was gone. No knock, call, text, nothing. He had my number because he text me before he came. Not upset at CM about the denial of claim, they don't control that. Guy coming unprepared for the job that was described and then leaving without notice, that's where I have a HUGE issue. Called immediately to find out here he went and woman said she would call him and call me back... no call back. I call 45 min later and speak to different woman, she says they're working remotely and original person would call me back... nope, nothing. So just be aware that this is what you're dealing with. I had them replace my water heater tru the Home insurance company (First American home warranty) first they came and said that my water heater needed to be replaced but not just that they also said that my pipes where not UNDER CODE!! Wich is ridiculous since i purchased this home that same year and did all my inspections to make sure everything inside my home was LEGAL AND UNDER CITY CODES!!! Well they charged me over 1000 dollars to replace the old pipes just because they said they were not under city code! After the repair was done the plumber did not replace all the parts instead he used all parts from either some other home or who know. The whole story comes down to after a few months i started noticing that that piece of pipe was leaking, contacted MC plumbing just for them to tell me that I had to pay them again just to take a look at it. I tried and tried with them and they just refused. So after all I hired a different plumbing company to do the proper repair pay them to fix what cm plumbing caused because my original pipping set up that was in my home NEVER LEAKED! ***CM PLUMBING IS A SCAM PLUMBING COMPANY FOR FIRST AMERICAN HOME WARRANTY*** This review is a bit late but let me tell what happened. CM Plumbing was contracted with First American Home Warranty to resolve a low water pressure issue in a single family residence. Their plumber (Miguel) showed up and said the water pressure regulator was faulty and that it the water pressure regulator valve would be covered by the home warranty but modifications had to be made. Modifications were quoted to $500+ in order to install the new water pressure regulator valve. Keep in mind that the cost of a water pressure regulator at Home Depot or Lowes runs about $300 for the device itself. I asked what kind of modification to the existing valve connection warrants a $500 modification and the tech could not give me a clear answer, only that it "wasn't covered" and if I wanted the valve replaced, I have to pay the modification fee. Needless to say of the 15 minutes they were there, I spent 10 of those minutes trying to understand their "diagnostic" of the problem with no satisfactory answers. They left about 15 minutes after arrival and collected their $75 show up fee through the home warranty company. At $75 for a quarter hour, it must be nice to earn $300/hour by showing up with a NICE looking truck. I got a second opinion from a different plumbing and was quoted $450 for the entire job which included the $300 water pressure regulator valve. A modification did need to be made but it was $50 to extend the existing piping. They did the job in about 45 minutes. I called First American home warranty after CM Plumbing's visit and I found out that the home warranty company would reimburse me for the cost of my plumber to the amount that they were willing to pay CM Plumbing for doing the water pressure regulator valve replacement. It was about $22 and some cents. Yes, that's correct, it doesn't even cover the cost of their $75 show up fee. So I don't know what kind of shady agreement CM Plumbing has with First American Home Warranty or what kind of plumbing company would sign a contract to replace a water pressure regulator valve for $22 but I can tell you that I bet lots of suckers fall for CM Plumbing's overpriced estimate and fork over the $500+ bill. Plus, they also get to collect a nice $22 bonus on top of the job from First American Home Warranty. Now because CM Plumbing informed First American that modifications HAD TO BE MADE prior to the change out of the water pressure valve regulator, the home warranty company said the diagnosis was complete and they WOULD NOT send out a different plumbing company. Thus my options were: 1. Pay CM Plumbing $500+ for the $50 modification and they would replace the water pressure regulator valve or 2. Hire my own plumber and fix it for $450 and the home warranty company would issue me a check for $22ish. In this case, I chose not to do business with a dishonest company and actually going through the home warranty route costed me more than had I just called around town and got estimates. P.S. I did talk to the CM Plumbing owner Chris about this issue after talking to the home warranty and I asked him for a more reasonable estimate for the "modification" and he said he could do the job for $500 flat. Can't say I didn't try to reason with the crooked company. I have already filed a complaint with the California Contractor State Licensing Board (CLSB). First, I want to apologize to this company for not leaving a review sooner. Second I want to say that I appreciate Tyler and the courteous service he provides each time he visits. CM Plumbing was dispatched by First American (FA) about a month ago for my leaky shower. The company called me for an appointment within 24 business hours and I received a text message confirmation after the appointment was set up. Tyler texted me to let me know he was on his way and arrived promptly thereafter. He came in, did the job, and left. I haven't had an issue with it since. Fast forward to December 8th when I contacted FA regarding a leaking kitchen sink/garbage disposal. They sent another company who has over 250 negative yelp reviews. The plumber was rude, dismissive, and lied, causing First American to deny my claim. The only reason why I'm not naming the company is because I don't want this review to be blocked. Visit my profile and you will find out which company that was. I advised FA immediately and asked them to send CM Plumbing. Tyler visited today and apologized for the other company (great customer service). He tightened some screws under the sink to slow the leak and told me that unfortunately they did not have a replacement for my size garbage disposal. He gave me specific instructions as to how to proceed to speed up the process and submit the report probably before he even pulled out of his parking spot. I was assigned CM plumbing through my home warranty company. When Chris came to the house, he explained he would submit an invoice to the home warranty company and send me a quote to replace the water heater. When I received the quote, there were $705 of additional charges that were not covered by the warranty. I had two other plumbers come out the same day and both plumbers said that I didn't need I'll the items on the invoice. I was sent here by my warranty company, apparently they need new customers because they DONT have returning ones and now I can start to see why...
