I booked few services, Mani/Pedi with gel nail polish and massage. Also eyebrow and lip waxing. I'm torn because I liked the pedicure, the first days of the manicure, and the massage, but the rest of the aftermath was a letdown. First, the tech showed up late, but I wasn't in a rush so it wasn't a problem. As for the actual work, my cuticles could've been cleaned up better on both my hands and my feet. I paid for gel nails thinking they would last longer, but they started chipping after a little over a week. The biggest issue, though, was my eyebrow wax. My eyelid actually got burned during the service, and three weeks later, I still have a mark from it. I tried reaching out to them privately through their contact form to show them the photos and ask for a refund on the wax service only, but they never bothered to reply. It's a bummer because the day started out nice, but between the burn, the mark still being there, the nails not lasting, and being ignored regarding the burn, it left a sour taste. read more

Cute Sign, BEWARE! I asked for an "Ice-cream mani (basic "Natural" manicure-opaque very soft nude" -" Not a Gel, nail technician said, ok. The nail showed me two TRANSPARENT polishes, not an opaque nude, which i did not approve; then calls her manager/owner on the phone then there is full blown conversation on speaker in Vietnamese, and then I was told by person on phone- sorry, we have no regular nail polish in nude or light pink, only in gel polish- you need to pick another color! This is so ridiculous, I come to nail salon so I can have someone do my nails, and have access to huge selection of color. I am not paying $25 to have someone tell me pick another color. THEN, person on phone said, you must PAY FIRST, thats our rules! Funny, the nail technician failed to mentioned "pay first rule" as she cut my nail and cleaned my cuticles.. I came here because they offer gel builder, which surprisingly not many salons in Fremont do. I had read great reviews about Lily and Kim, so I tried booking an appointment online with either of them. Unfortunately, the system didn't let me choose a specific technician--it only allowed "any available." To ensure I'd get Lily, I called the salon and booked directly with her. When I arrived, the salon was nearly empty--only one other customer--which, in hindsight, should have been a red flag. There were even flies flying around the middle of the shop, which felt unhygienic. Lily greeted me and asked me to pick a gel builder color. I asked where the options were, and she pointed to a small plaque on her table with only pastel shades. I asked if there were more options, and she mumbled that those were just the "base" colors and I could choose any regular gel color to go on top. I wasn't interested in layering too much product, so I chose a pastel purple to keep it simple. She asked if I wanted cuticle care, and I said yes. Then came the upsell--basic manicure for $25 or deluxe for $32, with the latter including a 5-minute massage and paraffin wax. Since my hands were quite dry, I opted for the $32 upgrade and was genuinely looking forward to the massage. The application process was tedious. She painted one nail at a time and had me cure it under the UV light after each nail. Doing this ten times felt like excessive UV exposure, and no gloves or sunscreen were offered as protection. Worse, she only applied one layer of color. Every other salon I've been to does at least two, if not more, as standard. When she asked if I liked it, I said it looked okay--but it was nothing like the deeper lavender shade shown on the display. She offered to apply another gel color on top for an additional $10, but by then, I was already frustrated and declined. She did do a good job with my cuticles, which I appreciated. However, the promised 5-minute massage never happened. She applied the paraffin wax and left abruptly to help another regular client who walked in. A week later, the color on my thumb completely peeled off--without me doing anything that would cause it. I suspect this was due to the single-layer application. Overall, I won't be returning. The experience lacked quality, felt rushed, and was filled with unnecessary upselling. read more

Lily and Kim are the absolute best! Lily persuaded me to switch from acrylic to builder gel, and I'm never going back. My sets can last up to six weeks and they always turn out very chic. They also do very cute nail designs, so I've gotten a few fun ones, like the polka dot french tips in the photos (credit to Lily). They can do manicures and pedicures at the same time, so I often get a pedi too. They are always super friendly and sweet, they always ask about my kid. Do not come here! Not only did I have a bad experience in person, I am only 4 days out from getting my nails done and 4 nails have already chipped severely and lifted. The methods used at this salon are unlike any other salon I have been to. To remove the dip powder they wanted to soak my entire hand in a bag of acetone. I asked them not to and the staff totally gaslit me by saying that there are different methods but I've been to PLENTY of nail salons in my life and I have never once seen this. The application of the dip powder was also unconventional and when I tried to say something, the tech assured me that she knew what was she was doing. The top coat was layered on so thick, I knew it wasn't going to last. The place is very unorganized and unclean. Sample colors are thrown into a box on a chair and they didn't even let me know which ones were which. I also noticed that the sink was leaking and there was evidence of black mold along the floor board and door. I mentioned the leak to them and they played it off like I was crazy. The air vents are also covered in a thick layer of dust waiting to drop on people at any moment. To top it all off, this lady destroyed my nail beds and was in pain all night, having to ice and soak my fingers in warm salt water and take Advil for relief. After all of this, I feel I am due a refund at a minimum for my literal pain and suffering. read more
