Went there after Christmas and Evelyn was my sales person. This was my first visit to this store. Evelyn was awesome! She checked their inventory in the stock room and brought out several new bags for me to choose from. She was friendly, patient, and shared her advice on how to take care of the bags. Customer service is Terrible. Even though they can find my purchase in the system they say it's not working and I can't get the refund on a return even though I am within the return policy limits. The manager says it can take an hour and a half to find an answer. So I wait patiently, walking around the mall and I come back. And there's still no answer about refund. I am offered store credit. No thanks! Two hours into coming here I feel like I'm being held hostage at the mall. Finally he decides to processes it as a transaction without a receipt. Great service from Coach. You can argue about the quality and style of their products but I've been impressed with their service at this location as well as the outlet store in the Great Mall. They didn't have the color of the item I wanted and ordering at the store it was a breeze. Plus, they ship to your home at no extra charge. Regardless, I wanted the item shipped to the store since I wasn't sure if was going to be in town by the time it arrives. When the item arrives at the store, they call me and I go pick it up. Coach is on and off with me. Sometimes great collections, other times WTF were they thinking collections. When the legacy collection came out, my love for Coach was reignited! Coach was my first true love in handbags. Some of the SAs don't help you unless you're dressed up nice and carrying a nice bag. When I came in with my boyfriend, they were practically crawling all over us. Of course when they see a couple, they think ohh he's going to buy her something! Lucky for them, he did! Hands down awesome experience with this store. On my first visit, I bought a small wallet and all the ladies there were so fantastic. The store was neat and clean, the employees were beyond polite and accommodating, and was just overall a very pleasant experience. Unfortunately I had to return the wallet a couple days later, and when I came back the same lady who helped me the first time was there and remembered me. She gave me absolutely no problems with returning the wallet and was just as wonderful to work with as the first time. I love the staff here they are always greeting you with a smile and are not always following you around asking you 100 times "do you need help?" they give you space and I love my space!! Order some stuff and told them to mail it to my home address and everything was fine. They I got a email a day later and they mailing to the wrong address, I called them to them know and I was told the I had call UPS myself to take care of the issue. So we went talk about 5mins and she can help me with it and that I had to do it myself so I call me credit card company and told them the issue and got money back. read more

I love Coach and I love going into Coach to look around even if I'm not going to buy something. Before, I didn't really like this Coach location because the Sales Associates here aren't that great. However, I've come in to this location twice in the past week to purchase my mom's birthday gift, then to do some item exchanges today. There is a new (well I didn't meet this SA till this week) SA here named Yan who is awesome. She's very sweet and helpful, but is not pushy at all at the same time. The other SA's at this location are nice, but a bit snooty and try to push you into buying something. So I've found my favorite associate and I'll go to her to make all my purchases. read more

I have shopped at Coach in the Stanford shopping mall and in San Francisco. I am always warmly greeted regardless of how I am dressed, and offered the best assistance. Unfortunately I have never had an enjoyable shopping experience at this Coach location. I am never greeted as I enter the store. I can walk from wall to wall with out ever being acknowledged by a SA. There have been times where I am the only person in the store and I am not offered service. I find it very disappointing that I am not approached until I start to handle products. I saw a bag merchandised with a scarf and I thought it was the cutest look. I got the bag and the scarf, and I asked the guy helping me to show me how to tie it in a bow like they did. The guy asked the girl behind the counter who was thumbing through a catalog if she could show me. She looked up for a second, said no flatly and then went back to her catalog. The way she looked at me, I felt like a burden to her. I do not think I will go back to this location. I will make the trip all the way to Stanford or Frisco where the service is excellent and I feel welcome and wanted. Terrible customer service. I went in to purchase a black tote. There were 3 people at the front. A guy and 2 girls. The first words I heard were "plastic bag" out of the guys mouth as he was pointing at my forever 21 bag. No hi, no nothing. I guess because I was in leggings a tank tennies and carrying a forever 21 bag they thought I was going to steal. The girls followed me around the whole 15 mins I was in there. Neither bothered to ask me what I was looking for how I was doing or if I needed help. They made me feel very uneasy and unwelcome. Jokes on them though... Sometimes they aren't super responsive to seeing people walk in. However for the most part they are pretty good. My experience with a return due to damage was very professional. They took the info and sent it to customer care in FL. I'm happy that in less then the time frame they gave me a store credit was sent. I went back to spend it and got a new purse. read more

Service is hit and miss. Unfortunately it was a miss. I ended up driving all the way to Macys in San Francisco, and bought two coach purses for myself. It cost about 800.00 for both, and well worth the attentive customer service. You'd think that at this coach in Valley fair, it would be alot better in service, but I was wrong. Shopping experience here is not happy. I think SALES ADA is not honest and has secrets at store. I hope the manager do some investigations on her. I told her I wanted a Rogue 25 bag, She gave me a similar one at first time. When I was looking at the bag carefully, I found the bottom design of that bag is quite different from the real one which is very wierd. I told her the bag had problems. She said nothing and had no reactions and brought me the second one immediatly and the bag packaging had been opened already. I requested for a totally new one. She refused me and said all the bags packaging had been opened. I can hardly believe her. The service is awful, and WE MAY have bought other bags from a COACH STORE. I can see why some people have some issues with this location, but at the same time, I had a pretty good experience. Upon walking in today, I saw three employees just chatting away and giggling. I needed some help and I was able to make eye-contact with another employee who was standing a bit further away. She was able to answer answer my questions and help me make my purchase. I came to the store to just look at a new style that I saw online and he right away engaged in conversation with me on what I liked and didn't like in the bag. I love Coach and love to stop by this store whenever I'm in Valley Fair. I'm always satisfied with the products that I buy here and the customer service has been fair. I mean, with the weekend crowds, it's kinda hard to get one on one attention you may need when you're actually there to buy something. But they do their best and I'd usually rate them a 4. This 5 star review, however, is solely based on my overall experience there last week. My bday is coming up and he's been trying to get hints as to what I want. Since we were at the mall, we decided to look around. I'd pick up handbags through Macy's and Nordstroms, not really telling him what I want, just browsing and trying things on for size. But our last stop was at Coach and I spotted a bag. I picked it up and started walking around the store with it on. A nice saleswoman greeted us and introduced herself as RoseMary. It wasn't busy this day so I got that undivided attention both from him and RoseMary. ( I felt like a Princess...hehe.) She suggested matching items like wallets and a scarf that I could tie around without being too pushy. Once I found the right combo, he said we'll take all of it! (I seriously didn't expect to leave with the items that night, I thought I'd have to wait until the actual day of my bday!!! She mentioned that these were seasonal items and I literally couldn't put the bag down so he insisted. NICE!!!) Anyway, I used my new bag for the first time today and after a nice day out in San Jose, I came home to a personalized note from RoseMary at Coach. Basically it said that it was a pleasure to help us, and was hoping that I was enjoying my new bag (I am), and wished me a Happy Happy Birthday. I've bought many items here in the past and this was the first note I'd ever received from any of the staff there. This, making it the best experience I've had with the Valley Fair Coach yet! The staff here are all pretty friendly and helpful but they are absolutely clueless about their own merchandise. The staff is pretty helpful and are willing to point you in the right direction as far as selection goes.
