Dont be put off by the location of this restaurant. It is located in a strip mall, next to walmart. This place was really good. Good enough to where I went for lunch the following day after my initial visit. I went for dinner and started off with a pineapple cider. It would have been colder but it hit the spot. For an appetizer I ordered the deviled eggs and the she-crab soup. A lot of flavor all around. I think you got your money's worth as well. 6 halves for the deviled eggs. And a hearty cup of a hot tasty soup. My main meal was the mahi "tacos". Now I was expecting pre-made tacos. But the entree came out more like a fajita style/build your own tacos. A huge piece of fish, plenty of toppings, 3 tortillas along with filling side of rice and beans. This meal did not disappoint. Oh, and my server's name was "Ocean". First time I ever met someone with that name. No complaints with the service. The next day I came in for lunch. Started off again with the she-crab soup. Tasted as great as the previous night. Even though this time around I didnt get crackers. Oh well, not big deal. My main course was a crab cake sandwich, minus the bread. I asked for cole slaw as my side. But the kitchen decided to do the fries instead. So instead of them taking it back I just ate the fries, and they gave me the slaw as well. I sat at the bar this time and the service was as great as the night before. I will definitely be back if I am close by on my next visit. read more

Coasters is a favourite of locals and visitors alike. Inside is sports bar style but they have a fantastic beer garden out back which is delightful. The food is delicious and very creative. The many beers on tap are constantly changing and they always have something seasonal and fun. You won't find a better burger anywhere in Melbourne and the fact that they offer unusual game burgers adds to the intrigue. My personal favourite is the Mushroom and Swiss and of course Parmesan truffle fries! Add a German beer and I'm in heaven. Prost! read more

This restaurant looks a little shady walking up, but once I saw the amount of people in the location I understood we found a gem. We sat at the bar and were greeted by the bartender who told us about the specials. We ordered drinks and some food. When we ordered the pretzel, the bartender brought spicy Herman mustard for us to try. We also got a recommendation of hot wing sauce to dip the Cajun rubbed wings in... she (the bartender who I can not remember her name) was spot on with the recommendations. I've seen this restaurant grow tremendously- what it is now, is a true gem! Walk inside and you'll see a traditional bar, with high tops and booth seating ....however the real treasure of this place is it's outside courtyard located in the back of the restaurant. The owners have created a very chill outdoor paradise- tons of floral, herb garden, and outdoor seating- beautiful! And DOG FRIENDLY!!! Lots of great craft beer- always a good selection, and always an interesting menu for their specials. I always get their tacos - it's good sized meal, and I have never been let down! Great little place in a WallMart plaze on the corder of A1A and Eau Gallie in Melbourne. From the outside, it's just another storefront. What you don't see off the bat is this incredible biergarten in the back! Tables and picnic tables, greenery growing up the walls, and a cosy and awesome environment in the middle of this urban area. Huge beer selection, large craft burger menu, and other great niblets on the menu. The first night I had their bang bang shrimp platter with truffle fries and close slaw. The shrimp was crispy and in a good sauce and those truffle fries were fantastic! The second night I had the same sides, but with coconut shrimp instead. Equally as good! The real winner here, though, are the truffle deviled eggs. SO DAMN GOOD! I was disappointed I had to share them... Ha! Definitely order these. read more

Was my dad's go to, so I got him a gift card there for Father's Day. He was told by the server he couldn't use the whole $50 gift card at one time per the manager and that he could only apply $30 for this visit. The gift card website of course mentioned nothing about this. Never heard of anything like this before and will never purchase a gift card there for him again. read more

I stopped here on New Year's Eve after taking my dogs to the dog beach across the street. Initially I ordered my food to go but changed my mind when I saw the beautiful courtyard out back. Seriously, it's gorgeous! Ivy on the walls and beautiful twinkle lights everywhere. I sat outside and happily ate my last meal of 2018 with my little schnauzer. I ordered the fish and chips and it was absolutely delicious. The fries are seasoned and crispy and the fish was fresh and flaky. When I looked at the place from the front I wasn't so sure but the minute you step inside it is a whole transformation! The staff were incredibly friendly. I sat outside and it was absolutely beautiful. I started off with the pretzel and beer cheese, which was superb. Then I had the fish and chips which, if I'm being totally honest, was even better than when I had fish and chips in London. The truffle parmesan fries are a spectacular side dish to that. Truffle oil brings out the fish batter even more. Then finally I had the apple strudel with ice cream which was good as well. I don't eat apple pie but I would eat this in a heartbeat. read more

Have loved Coasters for years. But today was disappointing. My husband got the Swedish meatballs on the special menu. Although tasty, the portion was very small. Two medium sized meatballs and not many noodles. He finished eating and was still hungry. I ordered the Bison burger from the specials, rare. It came out very well done. Had to send it back. Waitress agreed it looked overcooked. I also ordered the tots. Fifteen minutes later my new burger came out. Perfectly cooked, but no tots. By this time my husband was finished eating. Had to wait another ten minutes for the tots. Split my burger with my husband since he was still hungry. Manager picked up our two beers, which was appreciated, but still a disappointing meal. Then my husband and I thought we'd walk across the street to the Walmart-Winn-Dixie plaza. Low and behold, there was Coasters pub tucked into the corner of the plaza. This is a divey but clean pub/restaurant located in the corner of the shopping plaza at A1A and Eau Gallie. Friday night this place was packed and LOUD. Took about 15 minutes to get a table. Once seated our drink order was taken and delivered in a reasonable amount of time. They have an impressive beer on tap menu. We placed our order. Both Niki and I got the cheddar bacon burger but I added BBQ sauce and a side of onion rings. It took a while to get our burgers. The burger tasted just ok, unfortunately both of our patties were quite dry. The bun was obviously not a quality selection because it completely fell apart halfway through eating. The toppings were of good quality and tasted fresh. The onion rings were very good but lets be honest, quality onion rings is not a great feat. The service here is good and the staff is friendly. This place is a better pub than a restaurant. I imagine during the week it is not so busy and loud, I could be wrong. If your really hungry I would avoid this place on the weekend because between seating, ordering, and eating took about 45 minutes. Thats a long time to wait for this burger fail. This is a hidden gem that deserves it's own landmark, headliner reach-out-and-grab-you façade slapped on the front of a huge beautiful building sitting right out front on A1A. But right now, it resides on the inside elbow of a Walmart/Winn-Dixie shopping strip mall. Out of sight from most of the tourists who dive in and out of the larger stores for supplies during their beachside visits. The outside entrance at the front parking lot has a deceptive storefront with a few panes of large glass divided by two large wooden double doors carved out of ancient oak from an enchanted forest, perhaps, well they should be because this place deserves it. If you're lucky enough to find it, once you step inside you are instantly welcomed by that feeling of being in a well established, very successful bar and restaurant, your instincts tell you oh yes, this is going to be good. The huge bar on the left grabs your attention with all of the reflections coming from the ornate glass and bottles adorning the wall, and again everything surrounded with warm deep carved wood that instantly brings calm and a feeling of wanting to stay a while. Plenty of room, the staff hustles and bustles, lots of conversation with happy customers, this place breaths. My son was able to get away for the afternoon so he joined me here on the island for lunch and a few beers. We bellied up to the bar and were greeted by Katie with a big smile, under her mask. We ordered a couple of beers off of their separate beer menu which hosts a nicely selected number of brews that are sure to satisfy. Take a step out the door just to the left of the bar, and here you will find an unexpected Biergarten that's an actual beer garden. The owners have put together the perfect chill spot to hang out and enjoy your beverage and company. Too hot today to indulge so I'll check it out some other time. My son and I start it off with some truffle fries. Katie brought them to us fast, fresh and hot. I was looking forward to ordering the truffle deviled eggs that I had heard about, sadly no longer on the menu. I've had truffle fries before, and I've made them at home as I am a huge truffle fan. These were exceptionally crispy and moist on the inside, as if they had been fried in duck fat, which is a chef secret. Katie zipped back ready for our order, and happily answered any questions without us feeling rushed or unimportant. She expertly keeps an eye on everything going on around her as she engages yet in still personable interaction. A pro, and super sweet. We decided to order today's exotic burger, which was a Greek style Lamb burger, the Georgia fried chicken sandwich with tots, and the garlic teriyaki wings. Everything came out quite quickly and all together presented onto the bar in front of us. The lamb burger was laid out in such a way so that I could assemble it myself with the feta and tzatziki sauce, after which I found it to be absolutely delightful, the lamb was moist, and the sauce really brought Greece home. The wings were perfectly done crispy on the outside moist and juicy on the inside and the sauce was fantastic. Paul thoroughly enjoyed his Georgia fried chicken sandwich which he said was moist and tender and tasty with a great crunch! Super happy we came here today, what a special treat. Took my daughter to Coasters for lunch today. I've eaten here often and always had good food in a congenial environment. We were enjoying some beverages and the sunshade suddenly collapsed on top of me. I wasn't hurt in any way, but the staff was excellent. We eat here about once a week. I always order the Ruben with cole slaw which is pretty good. We always get the Bavarian pretzel which is great. Wife has ordered a number of different dishes and was never disappointed. Our one recurring complaint is that they are always out of Warshsteiner beer, a favorite of ours. Another minor complaint is that their draft beers lack a head. They must be washing their beer glasses with soap which will kill the head. It's probably unfair but we compare them to restaurants in Germany where they really know how to serve beer. read more

I mean who wants their appetizer/salad and dinner brought out all at once Second we tried to order from the Octoberfest menu and waitress said theh were out of all Brats and Sausages so basically that whole menu.
