Did my Yelp homework and opted for the Frisco Burger. First off, it wasn't on cheese toast like the ones I saw pictured on Yelp, so a bit disappointed, but didn't complain. We have eaten here on and off for years, breakfasts and lunch's. Most of their offerings are good, including their burgers. Nice friendly waitress etc. My issue is the cost for a soda $4.15 and the additional expenses that should be included, got charged $1.50 for a small amount of ranch dressing for our onion rings. Basically cost $50.00 for a burger lunch for two, plus a additional $10 tip. $60 total. Tried this place last week and it was DELICIOUS! My friend and I shared the chilaquiles plate and a waffle with Nutella and strawberries! EVERYTHING was fantastic! The location has plenty of parking, we were seated right away, coffee was excellent and the servers keep your cup filled. I love that! Our waiter had a great personality! He was on top of it! You can tell this place has a lot of regulars, which is a good sign! I can't wait to go back! Another thing I noticed is their bathroom is so pretty and clean. That's a bonus! read more

I'm going to say it again, if this is simply about the staff, they should get a 10 star. The servers have always been nothing short of kind, accommodating and interactive. This is simply to help them do better as a business. The breakfast burrito is a go to favorite for our family. But for the price, they have to adjust this hash brown burrito and add meat. Even when adding extra meat, I have to search for it. The cost of the burrito and cost of extra meat should result in extra being there. This is now the 3rd time that it seemingly was a very very very chopped up bacon dust added to a potato, egg and cheese burrito. Even after paying for extra. If this is fixed, there would be almost no complaints. Other than that. Stop in and try their other great delicacies and get some amazing service. read more

Update: 2024 came here with the girls for breakfast. Service was just ok. Food was average. Ordered the chorizo & egg plate with beans & rice. Beans and rice were cold. Huevos Rancheros were ok but the sauce had no flavor, just spice. Service was just ok. They did give a cash discount though!! 2020: Tried this new place for breakfast. Menu looked good, restaurant was clean, staff was friendly. I really enjoyed my food but my hubby did not. His steak was flavorless and we had to ask 3 times for his toast. We will probably try it again some day but it's not tops on our list. read more

I'll tell 'ya hwhat, Cobian's was fantastic! I went in with some friends, and Natalie was our server. She was attentive and took care of us. It did help that the restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived. It did pick up as we enjoyed our meal. I ordered a 1/3 hamburger with no lettuce. It was on point. The burger was cooked perfectly and was juicy. The burger reminded me of the quality of burgers that I used to get as a kid at Russell's Famous Hamburgers in Lakewood before they closed in 2005. The onion rings were crispy and had the correct ratio of onion to breading. The strawberry malt was creamy and tasted like they had just made the strawberry ice cream fresh. The restaurant had a nice vibe to it. They had several televisions playing a variety of genres. My family of four ended up at Cobian's after ditching the wait at another breakfast spot down the street. We loved that there was ample parking and the wait wasn't so intense. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated which we found great considering it being a Sunday morning. Everyone here was friendly and great. What a sleeper HIT!!! Never knew this existed until my parents brought us. The food is EXCEPTIONAL! Family wanted Sunday breakfast out. Decided to try Cobian's after several friend's (Connie & Susan) recommended this place. Sat outside since we had our little dog. The guys really like Belgium waffles. Both of them ordered a combo. After trying a bite, I gotta say, it was VERY good. Slight crispy outer crust. Tender inside. Eggs cooked perfectly as ordered. I ordered chicken fried steak, hash browns & over easy eggs. Again, eggs cooked perfectly. The hash browns were GREAT! Nice and crisp crust, not burnt, just the right amount of crunch. I've worked with several cooks over the years. There was ONE guy who cooked hash browns perfectly every time. You can't rush them. The inside needs to cooked through with a crispy light brown crust. They make them really well here. A couple down sides: sons fork still had dried egg, a few flies buzzing about. Simple fix with other utensil set. You all know how hard it is to get egg yolk off plates, utensils. But still, they should have been clean. As for the flies, we were in the patio, so flies can't be totally eliminated. The bug zappers work. However, they can also zap bug guts up to 6 ft away. I'd rather shoo them away. Or a strong fan would work too... Many Mexican choices at Breakfast( huevos rancheros, machaca,etc.) Will have to come back for lunch, since the tamale queens really enjoy the Mexican food here. read more

Comes with a wide variety of side choices like thick cut crinkle fries (season salt optional (these were cooked to perfection), rice, salad, fruit, onion rings, cottage cheese, mashed potatoes, hash browns, beans, chili beans or vegetables (for no additional charge). If anyone remembers Russell's Famous Burgers in Long Beach California, well Cobain's is a family owned and run business started by one of the cooks that worked at Russell's. Second time here, first review for Cobian's. I'm told this is owned by the same family that used to own Russell's, but I have no confirmation. That said, it's not a big place but had no problem getting a table on either visit. Service both times was fast and friendly. Menu is extensive, whether you're here for breakfast (as I was with a friend yesterday) or lunch/dinner. (My first visit was for dinner.) Food is good, fresh, and plentiful. Yesterday morning I was starving for breakfast, and although there were lots of things on the menu that looked good, I stuck to the basics: scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns (crispy) and upgraded to the biscuits and gravy for my side. All delicious. Eggs fluffy and hot, bacon appeared to be baked rather than fried (which is fine with me...not greasy) and the biscuits and gravy were not too salty. (See pic of breakfast.) (First visit was a bacon cheeseburger with fries which was also very good.) Ambiance is basic strip mall restaurant. From service, to food, to value, high marks across the board. A pretty decent spot to get some food. They have a menu with American and Mexican classics. A pretty chill place with a welcoming vibe. It's in a plaza with plenty of parking and no wait when I went for dinner on a Saturday night. Our table got some horchata for drinks. The horchata was a bit too watered down for my liking and lacked flavor. For the appetizer, we got their wings. They were pretty decent and straightforward. Get the mango habenero sauce for them! For food, I went the burger route since that is what they are known for. I went with the Hawaiian since I was craving something sweeter. It came with a pineapple ring with some sweet sauce. It was alright, but nothing special other than that. I think I'd prefer just a regular burger instead though. They also have a massive Heart Attack Burger too, but seemed a but much! So when I suggested this location for tacos I had no idea what a gem I was about to uncover. Cobian's is more than your average diner. It's a staple of the community. I not only received excellent customer service but Tony (owner with his sister) shared the legacy of Cobian's, where his dad went to culinary arts in addition to the region where these menu items were inspired. Most diners provide hearty portions, and are consistent with the quality of their ingredients. (Which is nothing to brag about) There's an additional level of care when this food is being prepared and you can tell in the taste as well as presentation. Tacos - all i can say is the shredded beef should be a patented secret. AMAZING!! Sante Fe Burger - the sourdough is toasted with cheese!!!! Not the Sizzler toast cheese but fresh, on the griddle, cheese infused toasted bread!!!! In addition the food was hot and the meat was properly cooked and seasoned. The food is pretty good here but a lot of deception going on. I ordered a breakfast special that showed two eggs for bacon or sausage, hashbrowns and toast. When the dish came there was only two sausage. I brought this to the waitresses attention and she agreed that even the poster on the outside of the window showed four.
