I Had high expectations because I heard friends mention it was a good spot and it surpassed the expectations All of the food was excellent. We especially liked the deserts. We ordered many dishes and our group liked them all Server was quick and very friendly. Very cute exterior seating locations

The food here is amazing. Stopped here for brunch and ordered the Butter Masala Eggs and Rendang and Dal Roti Wraps -- sooo delicious. The ambiance is very homey and the emphasis on nature with lots of wood, greenery and flowers. Love that they use a variety of floral patterned dish ware. Luis, our waiter, was so very friendly and welcoming, and also helped us review the eclectic menu to make our meal selections. There is street parking, and public lots off of Main Street. Will definitely be back for dinner since they offer a different menu in the evenings.

4 out of 5 stars! Cute ambiance, really delicious roti, yummy prawns butter chicken , and the place is not so loud that you can hear the people you came to dinner with. The only dish that was alright and could be more tender and didn't hit home was the chicken. Otherwise everything else was full of flavor!

Came here on the fly for one of my birthday dinners, and I'm glad we did. 5/5 Cobi's immediately stands out with its interior. Colorful wallpaper, vintage decor, live plants, and even the turquoise bathroom details give the place a fun, artsy vibe without feeling overdone. The food was AMAZING. The butter chicken was rich and packed with flavor, while the branzino had perfectly crisp skin and a yellow curry with a subtle seafood twist. Don't skip the roti--it was perfect for soaking up both curries. The kingfish sashimi wasn't picturesque, but the flavor was outstanding. That coconut lime sauce was so good I could've drank it, and the curry pastries were another favorite. Our waiter ended the night by bringing out ice cream for my birthday, which was such a nice surprise. Just a heads-up: it's not complimentary--we noticed it was on the bill afterward. Overall, great food, a beautiful space, and definitely somewhere I'd come back to.

Another wonderful din din. I adore the staff--they are the best. Mix in the next-level food and, well... you have Cobi's. The food here is something I recommend everyone try. It could be featured at any of the Michelin-starred restaurants I've been to, and I'm certain it would be a guest favorite.

Really cute restaurant but food was not up to par for us. Food overall was fresh and tasted good, but the flavor profile was not there. Food 3/5 Roti $5 - Can't go wrong here. Curry Puffs $14 - The most flavorful dish of them all. Came out piping hot. Pork Dumplings $16 - The unique sauce paired well with the dumplings. Beef Rendang $28 - My partner liked the dish, the flavor was not impressive for me as someone with a Malaysian background. Butter Chicken $22 - Was a miss for the both of us. Jasmine Rice $4.50 - It drives me up the wall when rice does not come with the meal, which is standard here in LA, unfortunately. To balance the sauce and protein, you need rice. Service 5/5 Our waiter was quick and attentive. Ambiance 4/5 It looks as if the building used to be a home, really cute cozy vibes. The entrance is adorable with the fountain and flowers. It's so dark inside. I understand it's for the vibes. They further dimmed the lights while sitting and the one thing I really hate about that is it makes it really hard to see the colors on the food.

This place is so cute with all the inside decor & busy. We ordered different dishes to try a variety. The Curry Puffs have curried split peas & potatoes inside and are well filled inside. The Pork Dumplings with the sauce are a great combo & I loved the different textures. The Crispy Pork Belly Salad had the best pork belly pieces, I couldn't get enough of it. I love a Butter chicken curry and this one just hit the spot. The Beef Short Rib was one of my favorite dishes of the night. For dessert we ordered the Thai Tea Pudding which had strong Thai tea flavor, but the boba wasn't as hot & soft on top- I think it would have been great even just as the Thai tea pudding part. Parking- street metered parking

Place was packed for lunch on Saturday. As soon as we sat down, our server was taking care of us. We told them to bring out the dishes as it came. Every dish was delicious, I also ordered white rice for myself since I can't handle spicy dishes but still wanted to try the Cobi's fried chicken and the Nasi Goreng. Cute vibe with atypical color combination.

Goddamn. This place is amazing. Brought girlfriend here on a valentine's date. Staff was extremely friendly, and waitress was very good. Ambiance was even better. Extremely cute, green, and well decorated. Price was extremely reasonable- spent around $230 (including tip) for all the below + a drink. Let's get into the food. Appetizers: Pork Dumplings - 8/10 (GF rating 8/10) These were great. The inside was solid, outside was acceptable, and crunch on top was great. The sauce absolutely made it. Quite a good choice. Curry Puffs - 9.5/10 (GF rating 10/10) Delicious. You won't regret getting these. Pastry outside is amazing, inside is even better, tamarind makes it EVEN better. Just keeps getting better. Get them. Chicken Larb - 9/10 (GF rating 7.5/10) Very tasty. The sauce it's in is amazing and the flavor profile is just great. Highly recommend. Crispy Pork Belly Salad - 8/10 (GF rating 9/10) Also very good. The flavors all fit together extremely well. I'm not a fan of pork belly but this was done great. Main: Beef short rib - 10/10 (GF rating 10/10) Holy shit. We were so full at this point, it was unfortunate we couldn't finish this, because it was so good. Most tender beef I have ever had. I went at it with a fork, expecting to have a tiny bit of give, but it just fell off the bone, effortlessly. Easier than gliding through softened butter. I also normally don't like fatty pieces due to the texture/chewiness, and was worried I wouldn't like this dish as short rib is quite fatty. I absolutely LOVED the fat on this. It was impeccably rendered. Genuinely the best beef short rib I have ever had. The sauce and cilantro + peanuts it was paired with was a perfect flavor combination as well. Came with a delicious bread as well (naan-esque?) Dessert: Underwhelming, unfortunately. Got all 3. Thai Tea Pudding - 6/10 (GF rating 2/10) Pudding underneath was decent. Boba on top with the sauce was not. Boba not marinated in honey, just chewy bland boba! The custard itself was also not very reminiscent of Thai tea. Vanilla Soft Serve Sundae - 6/10 (GF rating- 5/10) Vanilla ice cream itself was very good. The salted caramel, not particularly, nor the Milo brownie on top of it, and the peanuts didn't pair well with it either. Very mid. Strawberry Basil Shaved Ice - 2/10 (GF rating 7.8/10) GF LOVED THIS. Of all the desserts here, she thought this was the best. I just didn't like this one a single bit. The shaved ice on top was fine but it was a very thin layer and was more about what was underneath (passionfruit pieces, tapioca-like balls, and coconut), which just wasn't it for me.

With its prestigious Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand designation, Cobi's has been on the go to list for a hot minute and we finally got to go!! We made reservation on Resy for a Wednesday evening, and they do get quite busy during dinner hour so try to be as timely as possible. Each dish was so unique and looked so tasty, we definitely over ordered and had to try a bit of everything. The place was so cute, perfect for families and girl's night! For starters we got the Kampachi, yellowtail in a coconut dressing with lime leaf oil and green chili. I was fiending for more but I had to hold myself back from ordering more. Normally I'm not a fan of curry puffs, but these were too hard to stop eating, especially with the tamarind dip. Entrees! We got one too many but it was still worth. The Nasi Goreng was flavorful but a bit on the spicy side when it first came out. Beef Rendang was one of our personal favorites, especially with the side of squash, super rich and yummy. Rice and Roti made great additions to it as well. And finally, one of their specials of the day: Roast Duck with Vegetables. The duck could have been a little more tender and moist but the flavor was still there and it went great with the rice.

This place is a gem. Simply amazing. Understated fine dining. Authentic recipes and fusion of Asian and Indian cuisine. Cute aesthetic and vibe, nothing overstated and truly lets the "food do the talking." There wasn't a single thing we ate that wasn't delicious-- no wonder the Michelin star. Service was amazing too-- our server guided us through the highlights of the menu and make sure we didn't miss a thing. Will definitely be back-- what a special evening.

Cozy little place, food is pretty good but nothing to write home about. The oxtail was great though, and everything had the perfect amount of spice and was tolerable for someone who can barley handle spiciness. One annoying thing though was that we put in our order and our server went into the kitchen. We waived him down 2 minutes (literally two minutes or less) later and asked if we could change something on our order. He said no, because they "already started our order". We were asking to change a main, which came out 25+ minutes later, after our appetizers... seemed a bit unusual for this kind of restaurant and perhaps like he didn't feel like dealing with altering a ticket.

What a nice spot and we didn't even know it was Michelin Food was bomb. Did the chef choice special plus added the devils chicken. That was good too. Everything came out at good pace and the food quality was on point. The papaya salad was refreshing and surprisingly my favorite.

Overall, there were some highlights, but the dishes that were a miss were pretty unenjoyable. My friend was super excited to see char siu on the menu since we had passed on Cantonese char siu the day before, but the char siu bowl that they had here was closer to Taiwanese braised pork belly rice. There were some pieces of meat that were tender and seasoned well, but the majority of pieces were too dry, and the rice to meat ratio was pretty bad; you're definitely not getting your money's worth with this dish. The other dish that was pretty bad was the rendang bowl. Rendang is one of my favorites dishes because of how tender the meat can be and how many different types of spices are used, but the one here misses the mark in every way: the pork was dreadfully dry, the pork wasn't seasoned well, and honestly, it was hard for us to finish the bowl. A complete waste of $16. The dishes that were enjoyed by our part included the fried fish cakes, the fried corn fritters and the skewers. These I would get again if I stopped by again. Overall, I was a bit disappointed by our meal. Everything on the menu sounded appetizing, but the execution was not there.

They have so many different options, including rice dishes, sauces, fried chips, snacks, and Indonesian drinks. I actually think some of their dishes taste a lot better than some of the Indonesian restaurants we've tried in SoCal. Everything is always freshly made, and the flavors really remind me of home. My friends and I usually get the banana-wrapped rice with beef rendang or the chicken version. We also tried the nasi kucing with octopus, and it was really good! The only downside I'd say about the rice plates is that I wish they gave more meat and less rice, especially with the larger wrapped ones. The prices definitely aren't cheap for these meals, but the food does taste good. We also tried their fried banana topped with cheese and Ceres, and it was chef's kiss. My husband and I were looking for lunch in Upland. This restaurant popped up on Yelp with high…read morereviews, and we'd never had Indonesian food before, so we decided, "Why not?" We have nothing to compare it to, but I'm guessing the bar has been set quite high after today's experience! The calming green walls dotted with art, comfortable homey touches, and soft music playing made walking in feel immediately relaxing. We were greeted by a gentleman and we sat at a table of our choice. The menu offerings' descriptions made my mouth water! We chose two dishes to try: Ayam Goreng Kunning (turmeric fried chicken) and Rendang Sapi (beef rendang). My husband also got an Aren latte and I got iced jasmine tea. Our food was delivered to our table by the chef. She visited a bit with us, and we told her it was our first time trying Indonesian food. She spoke of how she came to make the recipes by watching her mother and grandmother. It was heartwarming and connective, as well as an homage to her family. And wow! What brilliant cooks to create such tasty dishes! My husband's beef was so tender and flavorful. I can't describe it as I don't know what all went into making it, but goodness it was delicious! My turmeric fried chicken had the crispiest skin without a hint of oil. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The accompanying hot sauce had just the right amount of heat without overwhelming its complex flavors. We both ordered the 50/50 turmeric and coconut rice. These two are such a great combo. We both also really enjoyed the tempeh. His coffee was gone within a few deep slurps. He really liked the Indonesian coffee bean flavor. Our plates were so full that neither of us could finish. So, we ordered pork satay to take home to add to our leftovers for tonight's dinner. The one thing that we couldn't wait to try though was the pineapple turnover. Mmm! Great pineapple flavor that was lightly sweet. Although baked, it still had a crispness to it - not mushy. The pastry was delicate. The friendly service, comfortable ambiance, and delicious and unique flavors will definitely bring us back!

They're the friendliest people and the vibe is visiting a family friends' house. When you walk in, it does feel kind of like a hybrid cafe/ coffee shop. This place popped up on my radar so I specifically came to get some Indonesian food, but figured hey...if they have a bunch of caffeinated beverages...why not?! I ordered the beef rendang platter and I think I ordered an iced latte. I can't remember the exact beverage, but I know it was cold, refreshing, and with caffeine. It had a cream top or at least creamy foam at the top. Both the beef rendang and the beverage were really delicious. So much flavor on the beef rendang without overpowering spice. A good portion as well. I would love to come back and try their Kaya toast among a variety of other items I saw available. Just really delicious Indonesian food coming out of an unassuming small cafe. I love places like this. Parking was pretty easy because the lot is pretty large.

The curry broth was creamy, spicy, and packed with flavor. It came with shrimp, fish cake, tofu, egg, corn, bean sprouts, and noodles, so there was a lot in that bowl. There was actually an error with our order, but our server was so apologetic and immediately had the kitchen remake it. We didn't ask or complain, she just wanted to make it right. Really appreciated that. The Nasi Campur was great too. Rice with BBQ pork, Chinese sausage, fried chicken, and egg. Lots of different flavors on one plate and good if you want to try a little bit of everything. Roti Prata is always hard for me to pass up. Crispy and flaky on the outside, chewy inside, and that curry sauce they give you for dipping is so good. We finished that pretty quickly. Good food and even better service. Mistakes happen, especially at restaurants. How they handle them matters more to me, and our server handled ours perfectly. Would definitely come back.

Food came out quickly and was quite good. Singapore Laksa (6/10) - the curry was rather thin and lacking in flavor but maybe that's because it's intended to be more of a soup. I would've preferred rice on the side instead of rice noodles. Next time I would get the actual curry instead of this, but that is just personal preference Roti (8/10) - probably the best thing we had. It was simple but very delicious, flakey and decadent. The curry sauce was much thicker and paired along well, giving a sweet and mildly spicy flavor Nasi Campur (7/10) - the first bite was delicious, but gradually became more monotonous after each bite. I think the ratio of fried chicken thigh to the sausage and cha siu was slightly off, adding to the repetitive nature of the dish. Overall, it was still quite good
