It was very easy to set up an initial consultation, and Kurtis, the owner, came out himself to demo, get the lay of the land for the project, and answer ALL of my questions. He is crazy friendly and seriously knows his stuff. In working with Kendra to schedule everything, at first we were told the first available appointment would be 2 months out. We had been hoping to get the service done before we moved in, but also thought that them being so booked was a good sign. Kendra asked if we wanted to be back ups in case another job had to get pushed and we said absolutely... we are so glad she did that, because literally the very next week their whole crew was able to come out and do the whole job from 8 - 130. Their entire team was prompt (even early!) and extremely friendly. Their initial representative was Rene, and he was a crack up! He has an eye for design and is seriously talented and fast with his work. Several others showed up including the owner again, and they even were training someone on one of their first jobs, but you could tell Kurtis and the more seasoned hires were going out of their way to ensure the work was consistently excellent throughout... Our 83 year old home has original Saltillo Tiles which I don't think have ever been restored since…read morethey were installed. Due to the porosity of clay tile, it can very easily be ruined by the wrong type of cleaning and sealant application. It's a job for professionals. And folks who specialize in this type of tile are hard to find. I found Tyler and his company, Seal Systems through Yelp and called them for an estimate. I was pleased to learn this is ALL they do. They specialize in natural clay tile restoration. Tyler's dad even created a proprietary cleaning solution to address the potential issues of stripping off old sealer. On Day 1, they showed up and stripped the tile on their hands and knees. No machines, just two guys working their a$$es off. On Day 2, the sealant went down, four coats in total (I believe) were spread. (I prefer the high-gloss Saltillo). The tile looks gorgeous. The patina is still there but the whole room has a new life. I love the way it turned out - 100% exceeded my expectations (because old tile restoration can be hit or miss.) If you have clay tile that needs some TLC - hire these guys. They are professional, responsible, dependable, and know what the heck they're doing. Also - family owned business...that's a good thing.

We were generally pleased with the work done so called Billy to get an estimate for sealing all grout in our new construction home. He wrote an estimate for $711 + tax ($770). My husband and I discussed and decided we would wait on the floors and just seal the showers now. Billy then asked - "what would it take for you to get all the work done now?" I told him we would get all work done, just not right now. He then offered to discount the price $150 as a "favor" since we were return customers. My husband was upset to hear that they COULD do the work for that price but Billy had not offered that in the first place. So he challenged Billy and asked - "why didn't you give us your best price in the first place?" He did not raise his voice; he did not cuss; but he was angry with the fact that Billy could so easily discount about 25% of price and had not done that to begin with. Billy then explained that he was "just trying to help us." He held up the paper with estimate and literally told us - "I don't need this... this isn't a big deal to me... I'm trying to help YOU guys." Really? Trying to "help" a return customer who has paid good money for services by ripping them off? He then stormed out of the house saying - "guess you two need to talk." Two minutes later I went outside to find Billy and again explain our position (i.e., we had just spent tons of money on the move, new furniture, etc. and would do floors next month) but he was gone. I called his cell phone and he did not answer. I called the office and his receptionist told me that Billy was "no longer interested in doing business with us." Really? He made that decision within 5 minutes because we challenged him about pricing and he had no answer? Well lucky for us because within an hour we found another vendor who will do the ENTIRE job for $400 (48% less than Billy's initial quote) for us tomorrow. (Feel free to DM me if you want contact info for this vendor.) PAST AND POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!! This guy acted like a sleazy used car salesman and was not professional or mature enough to handle the slightest bit of confrontation regarding his price. He doesn't seem to want to take "small" jobs. And he obviously doesn't care about past, loyal customers!!!
