Decided to give Coco's a try on a Friday night, it's one of those restaurants you eat at and forget about, and don't eat at for another few years. It's been 10+ years since I've eaten at Coco's and unfortunately, it was "OK". I ordered a New York steak by recommendation of the waitress and when received it was very thin; reminding me of a hamburger in a way yet very chewy not so mouth-watering/savory. The mash potatoes were pretty good as well as the zucchini. I ordered my son mac and cheese, unfortunately, this wasn't homemade rather the "easy mac" microwaveable "add water" type macaroni. My wife also ordered the same meal as me, and was not very impressed. The dessert sadly was impressive either, I ordered the banana cream pie, and my wife ordered the apple pie w/ice cream. All and all the food was ok, and the place was very empty for a Friday which is what we appreciated as we were starving. Nonetheless, we won't be back anytime soon. read more

We came in 07/28 around 1:20pm and we're waiting at the entrance for 10 minutes no one said hi or nothing to us. There was a red head girl behind the register right in front of us the entire time and didn't say a word to us. Mind you we were the only people waiting. I thought okay a little rude but maybe it's just not her job to seat people. Nope after 10 minutes of waiting she comes over and says okay come this way. I said no thank you and left. Terrible customer service. Went there on Thanksgiving day to pick up pies I ordered 3 weeks prior. They said they don't have any. Something happened with the truck. I said okay sooo what do I do now. She says contact them online. I'm like wait you can't give me a refund? No we're not affiliated with online orders. Hmmm weird because you fill online orders so you're connected a little bit. Do you have a customer service phone number? No you have to contact online. I was baffled. I'm pretty lenient when things like this happen but when you're literally unprepared for Thanksgiving day with at the very least a customer service phone number, to me that's just ridiculous. They were filling orders from people who ordered in person but not online. They didn't have anything left. They were zero help and the girl was so I helpful. Didn't care at all. I have been coming to Cocos since I was a little girl. I've always been a fan of their food and friendliness. Unfortunately it is just not the same anymore. The tortilla soup is really greasy and they have two chefs in the back who cook the food differently. My mom, aunt and myself all ordered the trio. The Asian chicken salad with tortilla soup and bread. After ordering I asked if we could get some bread to start because we were hungry while we wait. She said yeah of course it comes with your meal. I asked for it prior to the meal because they usually give baskets of bread. Well it never came out. We get out food and my salad and soup tasted AMAZING. My aunt and mother's was prepared differently by a different chef. They were disappointed with the way it turned out. The reason I am giving 4 stars is because of the quality of service. They were not busy at all and we always had to be looking for our server if we needed something. I hope they can retrain the staff to be like the old cocos again. This Coco's really doesn't even deserve the one star I gave them. We went on Sunday and it was very busy, and when we put our name in, we were told that it was a 10 minute wait. I paid attention to the patrons coming in after me and sure enough they seated a couple before us. When I pointed it out the girl said I am sorry you will be next. Then she called yet another couple and this time I pointed it out to the manager. Once we were seated, we ordered coffee and water, and the waitress brought us two ice teas. We sent it back. Then we waited 30 minutes for our food, and when the waitress brought part of my husband's food it was cold (notice I said part of his food). She also dropped two dirty plates on the table for us in preparation of the rest of the food (I hope I get to post them on here). At that point we just said we would pay for the coffee and leave. We went and asked for the manager, we told her what happened and she said you can just go and we'll take care of the coffee. No apology, no please let me fix it, just you can go. So we did. The Customer service: Very warm welcoming. Makes me always feel so comfortable as if I'm home eating with family. I normally always come just because of Gigi. She's awesome. Today I was helped by Katherine. She was very very sweet, attentive and took time between tables to talk with me and to make sure my meal and I were ok. Awesome customer experience with a family welcoming appeal here. I hope the staff never gets changed. Sometimes people go through things that they carry on them in life but often need a warm smile or someone friendly to talk to instead of feeling like a number. Katherine provided that. Great waitresses work here! The management must be excellent cause it shows through their​ employees. The food: The food here is always great! Not over seasoned, and comes out really fast and fresh. Did an online order tonight. First the online ordering is easy and clear. Food was ready for pick up on time. All of our 6 meals were tasty and correct. Often you ask utensils from places and they are a no show . But not cocos . All condiments were included ( often missing from other places) . Best of all was the price and the quality of the food! Having gotten their pies every year for Thanksgiving, I know what I'm getting. However this year I'm unsure. I ordered a banana cream pie as it's a family favorite. What I got was something unusual. I understand ripened bananas are browner, however these bananas were black. There was also an unidentifiable black piece I can only guess is the stem of something. This location used to have the best pies. I wouldn't buy pies anywhere else. It's unfortunate to say that today, my family purchased a coconut cream pie here and the pie was hard. The cream was stiff, and the inside of the pie was like rubber and it was changing colors. We took it back and asked when the pie was made and the man behind the counter said it was made on Saturday, today is Tuesday. How can you sell a pie for $20 that's terrible quality? How can you even sell a pie that's 4 days old?? We asked for a fresh pie. We were offered a cherry cheese pie and told it was "fresh". I opened it after dinner and the cream was hard. I got there on the scheduled time, patiently waited half an hour in line, only to be told that they had run out out the type of pie I ordered. WTH??????? Why did I bother ordering in advance?? I love Coco's! Let me explain it's a great restaurant it's a comfort food restaurant. The food is moderate, reasonable. It's delicious they have great breakfast options. I love their omelettes and the American Breakfast wrap it's very delicious. When I go there for dinner I typically order the Coco's combo hamburger and a salad with fries.
