When we drove in we weren't sure it was the place for us (kinda sketchy strip mall after dark) but we all, including my father who is a VERY intense restaurant critic, LOVED it. The service was prompt and our food arrived quickly. We started with the spinach wontons which were delicious. My dad had the chicken parmesan, I had the artichoke penne and my husband had three of the tacos. For dessert we tried the chocolate hazelnut wontons and it was such a unique treat that we all enjoyed. The only critique I will add is the tacos seemed a bit overpriced for the size. For my *sweet* husband who doesn't quite understand "tapas" he would've appreciated a heads up for smaller size of the tacos since we were ordering for dinner. It wasn't enough food for him. Meanwhile, the Italian pasta dishes were heaping portions and so delicious! We will definitely be dining again. read more

For those who like the nearby Bent Fork, this is in the same vein except the staff seems to actually like working here. The kitchen makes a very nice effort (nothing tasted to us like it came out of a microwave) and the menu has something for everyone. Such a great find for that quiet weeknight date night or whatever. Probably not a place intended for kids. The service couldn't be friendlier. The exterior is nothing great, and the name makes it sound like a sports bar, but if you check it out, you'll probably like it. Although the menu is Italian, it's more Italian influenced. We love this place! Been going here steady for about a year and haven't been let down yet. We love to go for happy hour ($3 glasses of wine in a nice big glass!) and have eaten here for lunch and dinner several times. The woman who usually waits on us is a bubbly, lovable doll who is also the pastry chef! And I gotta say she makes some tasty treats. All of their food in not only interesting and delicious but you can tell they use quality ingredients. Anything with their pink vodka sauce is amazing and I am ADDICTED to their crab cake tacos (which happen to be super cheap during happy hour). We only had a mishap once during a lunch visit and that was because there was only one server manning the whole floor and he had at least 10 tables ( those of us who have been in food service know how brutal that can be). Once we brought it up we were immediately taken care of and he seemed genuine in his concerns so I could not have been happier. Cody's is the best! read more

I ate lunch at Cody's today with a friend. I had heard about Cody's but just hadn't been there. I had the fish and chips lunch entree and pudding bread with strawberries for dessert. It was exceptionally good and made the visit with my friend even nicer. I intend to eat at Cody's again. There is a nice variety of cuisine including Italian, Mexican and American favorites such as cheeseburgers. read more

I'd actually give Cody's 3.5 stars. We got lunch for 8 people from there. The manager herself delivered the food, which was nice. Some of us who had fries really liked them, but one of my co-workers said his were very greasy. The fish part of the fish and chips was overdone, really crunchy and dry on the ends. We'll probably order from them again, but we'll go get it rather than have it delivered. read more

Food was quite good, drinks were good and cheap, service was excellent. This is totally a neighborhood pub, so don't expect a full service restaurant. The service is a bit slow but the owner and waitress were genuinely friendly and new many people by name. The lemongrass sausage was delicious (a bit skimpy on the sausage) and the chicken fettucini was good, if not great. The hazelnut desert was great and they had comrade IPA on tap which is really high end beer so we were impressed. The cherry cream mixed drink my wife got was the only low light of the evening. Extremely good food and the people the are even better. You are greeted immediately by the servers and seated and then it the hard part witch is deciding what you want. It is hard to pick between all the amazing pastas and pizzas that they offer. They really have everything from some of my favorite pizza to fish and chips to lemongrass sausage penne. They are always adding new thing to menu from spinach and four cheese wontons to a tiramisu with powdered sugar and a scoop of chocolate ice on top. read more

I have been going to Cody's for the last couple months once a week. Love the food, I try something different everytime and it's always good. My favorites are the Crab Cake Tacos, Cheese Pizza, and the Angel Hair Pasta. You have to have the Chocolate Won-Tons for dessert they are amazing. We just gave this restaurant a try yesterday for dinner. I'm in agreement with the rest of the reviewers that this is a little gem in Aurora. I had the grilled chicken angel hair pasta dish which was very good. Many levels of flavor. The husband had the fish tacos which were just average. Better to keep to their Italian dishes. The spinach wontons were very good. The bread was perfectly warmed along with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The bread pudding for dessert was tasty. Service was excellent. We will return to try some of the other dishes. Lastly, the booths were comfortable, nice lighting and music and some interesting art work you can either admire or purchase. We are new to Denver and stumbled upon Cody's thanks to Yelp. Our waiter, Sean, was very attentive. We had the mushroom potstickers for am appetizer and they were pretty good. My wife had the tomato bisque and I had the rib eye pasta. Both were very good. The rib eye was an Alfredo sauce that was not overly heavy with the cream and cheese. The bisque was very good as well according to my wife. This would have been a 4 stat review except for one thing. The restaurant was cold. I'm not talking a touch cold. I'm talking cold enough that you wanted to keep your jacket on. Yes it was in the single digits outside but there was only one spot in the entire place that wasn't chilly. We will be back to sample the rest of the menu though. read more

We LOVE Cody's. We found out through friends about it and have taken everyone we know there. It's a tiny place but we have managed to fit a good 30 people and take up all of their tables ;) The food is always predictable and delicious. My boyfriend and I LOVE this place. We are from Texas, and when we made a trip up here to look for apartments this is one of the first places we ate. The outside is not impressive, sandwiched between a laundromat and an African grocery store you would never suspect how cozy and classy it is on the inside. The food is fantastic- I love that they have daily specials, but the lemongrass sausage penne is to die for. They make a ton of things in house (including the sausage) which I love. Unique flavors and a little bit of a fusion between Asian and Italian. The wait staff has always been phenomenal! This is our go-to place when we want some good food! I also hear that their cocktails are delicious, although I have never tried them. read more
