On 4/17/2017 at approximately 9:40 p.m. while having a drink with my friend, I witnessed a rat the size of a squirrel scale the piping of the North West wall near the bar. Noticing the look of horror on my face, my friend turned and saw the rat also. She, being somewhat familiar with the bartender, brought the rat to his attention. He barely bothered to look where we were pointing. By now three other patrons at the bar were brought into the conversation. They were obviously frequent patrons of the establishment as they joked about the rat's name being "Ben" and that he was harmless. I didn't find any humor in this. No apologies were made and no attempt to assure me the issue would be resolved took place. I paid my bill and we started to walk towards the exit of the building. A newly hired employee (information obtained during a previous conversation) stopped us to ask what the excitement was about and we both told him. There was a waitress standing nearby who heard the conversation and I noticed her facial expression was that of "not again". This fairly new employee had a look of shock but even he did not apologize, he just shook his head in disbelief. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE. I have notified the FL DBPR of this situation. read more

Underwhelming. I would suggest considering other options if you're a young adult seeking a vibrant dining experience. The choice of older music playing in the background seemed out of sync with the desired ambiance. The interior decor could benefit from some updates to enhance its appeal and create a more inviting atmosphere. The service fell short of expectations, and it left me feeling somewhat uneasy and out of place. Admittedly, my visit was a result of mistaking it for Logan's Roadhouse, and in hindsight, I wish I had chosen differently. It would be beneficial for this restaurant to embark on a revitalization journey. Embracing a retro theme can be done tastefully, ensuring it remains fresh and appealing to a wider audience. Attention to detail in seasoning the dishes and ensuring thorough cooking would go a long way in elevating the overall dining experience. read more

We ate dinner at this facility on Sunday July 16th 2017. My husband ordered a bacon-wrapped filet with mashed potatoes the waitress offered to up charge his meal $5 for for grilled shrimp he agreed to get the shrimp. Monday morning approximately 7 a.m. he started having symptoms of food poisoning it is now Wednesday July 19th and we just left the hospital because he looked like he was dying. After discovering he really does have food poisoning we looked up Cody's Roadhouse to know they have been shut down multiple times by the health department. As recent as June 28th. We used to eat at this restaurant a long time ago until we seen a rat dancing in the middle of the floor apparently dying from Poison we thought maybe it had changed I guess not! I would never eat at this establishment ever again and I will definitely tell everyone I know about this situation. read more

I don't know why Cody's has ANY Negative Reviews. My experience was AWESOME!!! I was there with a Friend this past Saturday, (August 27th, 2016). The Food was DELICIOUS!!! We had Steak and Ribs. The Steak was cooked to Perfection (Tender/Juicy) and, the Ribs literally fell off the bone. They are Very Generous with their Servings!!! We had Steak and Ribs at Home for the next 3 Days!!! Our Server, Jenny was Very Very Friendly, Courteous and Attentive!!! I've never had Better!!! We WILL Definitely be Back!!! I wanna try EVERYTHING on the Menu!!! Kudo's to Cody's and Jenny!!! I'd give the food four stars in the service from my waitress Toni Cruz was excellent my cup stayed full , she was prompt on getting as our food probably one of the best waitresses I've had in a long time most of them are so overworked or so underpaid that they just don't care they throw your food down on the table and walk away she actually makes time to make sure you have everything you need checked back on you periodically but not too much to bug you and as a very pleasant cheerful attitude. I was disappointed with the cleanliness during my recent visit. The restaurant did not feel well-maintained, and I was given silverware that was not clean, which led me to request plastic utensils instead. Additionally, the hostess did not come across as professional, which contributed to a poor first impression. While the overall atmosphere and food quality fell short of expectations, I do want to acknowledge Sunny, our waitress, who provided excellent service and took great care of us. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable returning or recommending the restaurant to others. read more

Cody's is a favorite of ours. We ate here twice this past week. I ordered ribs which are the absolute BEST. They fall off the bone and the sauce is delicious. My husband ordered the prime rib and it was tender and juicy. The yeast rolls are yummy and we love the salad. Our waitress, Kristen, was very attentive. I celebrated my birthday, and the staff duly noted it with a song and dessert treat. The atmosphere is very casual and fun themed, including peanut shells on the floor. My wife and I were driving in from Gainesville to spend the weekend with our daughter. We have been devoted to Cody's for years in St Pete this one in Bradenton is not even close ruined my husbands b-day It was always his fav place we will never go back to the Bradenton restaurant! Food was really good the best rack of ribs I have had in a long time , but my friend had the Fajits and she was asked if she wanted Peppers because they were extra WTF who charges extra for peppers on a Fajita. the service was not good we only saw her when she brought our food and the bill . We went there visiting for the first time a long trip away from home... The place was wonderful, the food is amazing and flavorful! Absolutely love visiting Cody's Roadhouse! We try to visit every other week or so and are always greeted with friendly attentive staff. The food is absolutely wonderful, and I am yet to find something on the menu I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. This place is great - TVs everywhere you look and really cool retro accents - there's a large old fashioned truck on a lift in the center of the restaurant. My kids loved it. Waitresses are wonderful, even when the place is full.... read more
