LOVE this coffee shop!! it is so beautiful & aesthetic as soon as you enter the shop. they have a great menu with original coffee drinks (cappuccino, cold brew, etc.) & some signature drinks such as the laurel latte. the drinks on the menu don't have a description of what it is, but we asked the cashier & he was very excited to tell us about the flavors in their signature creations. staff was so friendly & they had great pastries as well (vegan too!). they also had cute mugs for sale & MANY plants. we just got coffees this time but i'll definitely go back to check out their plants & order some pastries with our coffee! highly recommend read more

Walk by here everytime I get my nails done and it's always busy so it must be good, right?! Finally had time to stop in and try it out. Long draining week, needed caffeine, I went with the lavender latte. First sip you can feel the strength of the espresso - which took me by surprise with such a calm/soothing name. It was so satisfying - light lavender flavor, smooth and creamy from the oat milk - loved it. It was the end of the day, and they were running low on pastries, so I took what was left (not pictured bc I ate it instantly) the matcha muffin. Subtly sweet, great flavor and texture, with unexpected crunch that all came together well. Terrible Service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. 1 star is generous, if I could give zero I would. This coffee shop is one of the worst I've ever visited. The customer service was shockingly rude, with staff who seemed completely uninterested in doing their jobs or treating customers with any respect. It's clear the management here is nonexistent or just doesn't care. If you value respect and decency, do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. Yesterday I walked in for the first time, I drive past it everyday since I live up Laurel Canyon in Hollywood Hills. So it's literally about a less than 10 min drive ! I figured if I enjoyed the coffee I'd make it a place to regularly visit since it's on the way home. Plus it looks so pretty from outside! Once entering very pretty and clean. The service by a young man was great, he was kind and helpful! I ordered a vanilla latte (that's my go to drink every time I try a new place) and my bf ordered a superfood latte. Both iced. When it was ready, I took a sip and it tasted a little odd somewhat flowery? but I figured it'd go away or maybe it was just a note in the coffee? I went home and sat to enjoy my coffee but I realized that taste was lavender. I do not like lavender in coffee, my coffee was a cup of super overpowering taste of lavender. I was confused as to why, if I ordered vanilla latte? Im guessing it was made in a cup used for a lavender latte or the barista made a mistake. However I called to ask if I could take it back since it's not far from home and hopefully have it remade but unfortunately it was closed by then. I searched on Yelp for coffee shops that was open in the area while I had to wait for my husband. I saw this place was open and I've been wanting to check it out for a while now, but it's been slipping my mind. It opened at 6 and I got there at 6:15. There's no doubt the place is super cute just don't get there early unless you just want a drink. They were still setting up and did not have any "fresh" pastries or food items from the menu. The lady was putting a container with some pastries underneath the counter. I asked if there were any pastries. She told me there were some from yesterday and the fresh pastries usually get there when they open. Now, I'm confused and thinking maybe the info from yelp was incorrect and they were not in fact open since they were still setting up, had no pastries and the sign on the door said "closed". She confirmed they were open. Well I did want a pastry so I had to ask what pastries did she have in the container and damn near had to pry information out of her. LSS,, I was tired, she seems like she was still trying to wake up as well and it was frustrating. I ordered Pink Matcha, a chocolate croissant, and a carrot cake muffin. The drink was good and yes the pastries were definitely not fresh. My advice is don't go early and if you're tired because you will just leave more irritated. The interior is so nicely decorated, and they have plenty of chairs/tables to sit and work from! I tried the iced lavender latte and it was so good, not too sweet and the right amount of floral notes! I also got the avocado tartine. I do think it's on the more expensive side for the amount you get, but it was delicious! The food took around 15 minutes to come out, but the toast was freshly made, so I can't complain. I've genuinely never been one for bad reviews, and really wanted to like it here as the pictures were so pleasing to the eyes. I ordered online as I was running errands near by, but I was done earlier so got there early and they started on my food once I asked them. The staff were friendly. However, they seemed very slow. I got the food and once I opened it at work (I work 4 minutes away), it was cold, but the bread was burnt somehow. It looked like it was a ready to go plate since it didn't look fresh at all but also I can't understand how it can be burnt and yet cold at the same time. On top of that, there was a hair in the box. Breaks my heart a little bit to give this update but did not have a great experience my second time ordering. Blueberry crumble pie - just disliked this. I didn't look closely enough, but the "crumble" = nearly whole walnuts. Pie texture was rubbery and stiff - taste did not make up for it either. Lavender Latte - I really liked this, the only thing I'd recommend is not getting it with the lavender petals on top. They're difficult to avoid the more you drink and quite bitter if you accidentally bite down. I don't think the garnish is worth Pumpkin freddo - Still not sure what a freddo is after this, but it tasted like a regular latte. It was a good drink, but it didn't taste like the drink I ordered at all. Clean tasting latte and quite pleasant otherwise. Unfortunately I still don't know what their pumpkin pie flavor tastes like, $8 later Coconut Cocoa Swirl Muffin - actually enjoyed. Not too sweet and I think they bake with cornmeal which I like. Quite dense and sizable for a muffin. I didn't really taste the cocoa in the muffin, but the physical swirl is definitely on top of it Verdict: Some items are quite worth it. The espresso-based coffee is solid. Some food is just ok. Some food is not good. read more

We were really looking forward to Coffee and Plants but were disappointed and walked out. There were two women in front of my wife and I. Long story short, they took 10-15 minutes to decide on their order. The barista made it take longer by asking them personal questions that made this go on for too long... two baristas stood behind the counter staring into space. I don't mind waiting a bit and we both are patient people but really? The other two baristas couldn't do the standard, "Hey, let me get your order going while they finish up" or the barista/cashier couldn't say, "Let me grab their order while you decide." We stood there patiently for 10-15 minutes and then just turned around and walked out. I'm sorry but I'm not going to pay for coffee at a new spot that can't even acknowledge us other than staring at us while we wait. We'll stick to Alfred, Red Window, Giorla's, or another spot that wants our business. Hard pass. read more

Not my favorite. The place itself is very presentable, which I love. I just felt like the coffee was not as flavorful as I would like. I ordered a vanilla latte extra sweet, and I didn't really taste the vanilla. I like to rate my places from 1 to 10. 1 through 3 - will never comeback 4 through 5.8 - will come back if someone I'm with wants to try the spot 5.9 though 7.0 -will come back 7.1 through 9.9 will make an effort to come back and I would recommend the spot 10.0 is the best place! (Haven't had a 10 because there is always a better place out there. My rating for this place is 3.2 (Will you come back? If I can give this place more stars I would. The place is clean, full of life--I mean the plants help. The customer service is the best I have ever had, mind you the owner is also present and greeting everyone (rare to see). It's definitely aesthetically pleasing as well as tasty coffee! I came in with my son and the owner let me know that they have baby accommodations for changing and if I needed anything for him to drink/eat. Sometimes I like coffee as a dessert and that's what the pumpkin pie iced tasted like and then sometimes I like just a coffee and the superfoods was perfectly not too sweet. I actually sat down and I like the seating arrangement because they have partial booths and there was space for my stroller. A quaint oasis in the middle of Ventura Blvd. A sweet, relaxing atmosphere with very friendly and helpful staff! We tried the avocado tartine and were blown away with the amazing flavors! I had the lavender latte with oat milk which was fantastic! My wife had the "peach please", a refreshing drink that was perfect for a hot day.
