This is a classic breakfast joint! The food is good and comes out quickly. The service is very friendly and quick. The vibe is very family/friends/ kids friendly. Sometimes on the weekends you can find a pretty long line but it moves quickly.

I don't know who's keeping this place in business, but it won't be me. First and last time ordering. Cajun breakfast came with raw white flavorless hash browns, egg undercooked with whites so disgustingly runny, and CANNED MUSHROOMS. Burnt side of sausages. Embarassing, really. Who the heck is out there using canned mushrooms thinking that's ok? Wtf. Learn how to cook eggs. I don't need to see runny egg whites.

Amazing diner! Once you step into Coffee Cup the ambiance of the diner sucks you back into the 50s. The service is great and the waitress and waiters never let your needs go unserved. The food is outstanding. Everything is reasonably priced and you will need a box before you leave because you get so much food. They have such a diverse menu and I wish I could try every item. I personally love the breakfast burrito because it has so many different flavors and delicious hollandaise sauce. The buttermilk pancakes are nice and fluffy and go great with their maple syrup. I would recommend Coffee Cup to anyone, and will always be on my list of one of the best breakfast diners in the Twin Cities!

A great spot for breakfast in St. Paul! The wait staff is friendly, hard-working and attentive. You'll never be out of coffee unless you want to be! (The downside is that the coffee is very weak and has no taste.) The food is very good and portions are large. Seating ranges from booths to tables to counter. It's definitely a local favorite! We have been here a couple times and will be back!

Service was excellent and she was very attentive! Make sure you bring a thin jacket or long sleeve because the AC is very strong inside so it can get really cold! Cinnamon roll is huge! It's as big as a plate but their homemade frosting is not as sweet as your typical cinnamon roll. For me it was great since I don't like it as sweet. Churo waffle smells great but only taste ok. The frosting they drizzle on is the same frosting as the one on the cinnamon roll. French toast was more bland so I wished they would sprinkle a bit more cinnamon. Country fried steak I didn't try but I was told it was great and tasted delicious.

I decided on some breakfast take out today from the Coffee Cup on Randolph. First time at this location although I've been going to the original on Rice and Arlington my whole life. My grandparents lived a few blocks away and my BFF growing up, her step dad was an investor in the place in the early 80's for a spell, I'm not sure if he's still involved because he's no longer her stepdad. Anyways, the food is so classic "diner." Everything is really good, from the hot turkey, to the pork chop, turkey and Swiss omelette (which for some reason works), a patty melt, liver and onions for those like it, to my favorite, the Greek omelette. The photo doesn't do it justice, it was huge and beautiful! The bag weighed about five pounds. And it's tasty! Just as good as I remember it. The egg fluffy and just the combo of the gyro meat, the Tzatziki sauce and the feta is such a pleasant tartness, I forget how much I love those flavors. I'll be back, there are some new things on the menu! The Greek and veggie burgers, along with eggs Benedict, cream cheese stuffed French toast, and I really want to try the Cajun breakfast! Check it out! Made with love for the neighborhood

This is the type of dinner I grew up with. The decor has a little touch of the past. The wait staff is amazing. The food portions are very large and taste fantastic. I came here at the recommendation of a Freind and keep coming back when I'm in the area.

I could see that since last time I was here this location has gotten a little busier. Since this restaurant is located, next to Sustainable safari, which is a tropical style animal petting zoo. Of course when I walked up, I knew exactly what to order, and that was the strawberry crepe. It seemed to have the perfect meld of dessert and lunch rolled into one. Of course it seemed to only take like 5 minutes for my order. Considering how busy they seemed was not a bad wait. I couldn't wait to devour my crepe. What more could I ask for with sliced strawberries, and some whipped cream, and chocolate drizzled all over my wrapped up crepe. It was almost like trying a rolled up burrito, but even better, especially since it was having breakfast for lunch. I did not leave any leftovers for later. When considering going out to eat, I felt that was a good thing. I so want to go back again, and maybe try a waffle, or two. To see what the other half of the menu tastes like. Maybe have a smoothie with my meal, since that was on the menu as well.

I came with some friends for a Sunday morning brunch so we expected a longer wait - it was only about 10-15 minutes which was great. The inside of the restaurant is really cute and there is street parking, albeit difficult to find. I really liked how big the menu was - plenty of options and something for everyone! I ordered the Biscuit Benny and loved it as a take on biscuits and gravy, but with fried chicken instead. I do kind of wish it were the traditional biscuits and gravy style because the fried chicken was a bit tough to cut through. Very tasty though! Some dishes were a bit lackluster - we eat with our eyes and some things didn't look super appetizing. We found ourselves saying "we're glad we didn't order that because it doesn't look very tasty". Next time, I'd order something different even though I'm an eggs benny girl through and through.

If the weather is nice, the outdoor seating is definitely the way to go because there is a ton of it. Our server was friendly and had some really helpful recommendations, which I appreciated. The one downside was that they did not check in very often. Normally that would not have bothered me much, but the restaurant is very strict about table time limits, so it created a surprisingly stressful dining experience. It felt like we were racing the clock while also waiting to get our server's attention. The drinks started things off on a decent note. The banana bread latte was good, but I honestly could not taste any banana bread. The espresso martini was also fine, though it leaned pretty bitter and was not the easiest cocktail to sip. The food was all over the place. The mini donuts were easily the biggest disappointment. They somehow tasted overfried while also lacking sweetness, which is not exactly what you want from a donut. The monkey pancakes were much better. They were loaded with sweet toppings, but the pancakes themselves were not overly sweet, which kept the dish from becoming overwhelming. I also tried the pork belly biscuit. The biscuit itself was delicious, but the entire dish was absolutely drowning in sauce, and the pork belly was much chewier than I expected. Overall, there were enough things I enjoyed that I would not completely write this place off, but between the uneven food and the rushed feeling created by the seating policy, it was not the relaxing brunch experience I was hoping for.
