I went to grab a quick coffee before a meeting and haven't been to Coffee Nutz in quite sometime. When I arrived, I noticed that they have expanded their menu and have a lot more options to choose from. I'm on a low carb diet so I needed sugar free options, so I was happy to learn they provide sugar free vanilla and/or caramel to their coffees. If you have never been here, the meximocha and ham panini is AMAZING! I opted for the Americano, since I needed an extra boost, but also threw in half and half. I also ordered an iced drip coffee with half and half and the sugar free vanilla. My goal was to find which flavor I liked and I am a bigger fan of the vanilla. I must say the drip coffee with sugar free vanilla will definitely be my go to moving forward. Price wise, it's competitive with Starbucks nearby, but I really appreciated the quick and prompt service as well as the coffee tasted better too. I love coming here for their spicy chicken torta but yesterday 02/04/25 I came and ordered the valentines combo which is 2 spicy tortas and 2 medium mango drinks for $25 I paid with $100 they gave me my change back. I didn't feel the need to check my my change bc realistically who checks they're change every time they leave the drive through. Anyways I always pay with card except for yesterday all I had is cash so today 02/05/25 I went out to eat handed them the change I got at coffee Nutzz to pay my balance and they stop me saying I have a fake $20. I saw this place as I pulled up to grab lunch with my son at the Cracker Barrel across the way. I have to say it's weird kinda place, the coffee is ok, I had an iced caramel coffee and the wife had the Mexican style drink which was apparently horrible ,( thick and grainy). Back to me saying that it's a weird kind of place, this place is called "coffee nutzz" but they have quesadillas and other types of food along with ice cream (Gelato) boba, soda and tea. Sooo.... They sell food AND coffee. And they are not in any way nutzz about coffee. If you go into a coffee shop your gonna see mainly coffee items on the menu with maybe some bakery goods. Friendly staff but the quality of tea and breakfast croissant is not worth it. The ham breakfast croissant is a decent size but had no taste even with yellow cheese (did not taste any cheddar). I ordered a small matcha tea. Their menu shows that it is iced but the staff person asked if I wanted ice, blended, or hot. I said oh, I'll take hot if it comes in it. I was given regular hot tea (not sure how they brewed it, there was no tea bag). And I was really looking forward to the matcha but didn't get any. First time here and my experience was a good one. I ordered the Meximocha Frappanutzz (ice blended espresso drink), that is a mix of Horchata, chocolate, espresso & cinnamon. I added boba. It was good, unsure of what to expect, but i did anticipate a stronger taste of the horchata flavor. It was not too sweet, which was a good thing. I, inquired about the Pan Relleno, and wasn't sure if i wanted to try it. I asked what was in it and got a clear explanation, but decided to wait until next time. After paying and getting my drink, the person at the drive-thru, who i believe may be the owner, blessed me with a free Pan Relleno to try it out. (BTW this does not affect my honest review of the business or the food/drink). Customer service was great. He was helpful and informative. What I will say about the Pan Relleno, is that it was warm and soft, which after tasting it, confirmed that it was freshly made. It had cream cheese and Jalapeno. just the right mix, so as not to be too spicy. I recommend this. great alternative to a bagel. Pros: 1. This place is my FAVORITE when it comes to caramel coffee drinks. Much better and tastier than Starbucks or coffee bean (definitely more consistent when it comes to taste also)! It is a bit of drive from me - about 20 min but I'd definitely say its worth it! Even with other coffee shops within walking distance from where I live and I'd still prefer Coffee Nutz. I always get their caramel frappanutz, my one and only go-to from their menu. Maybe I should try more of their many, many options but I just can't betray the delicious caramel-y goodness of their frappanutz. But if you're looking for a shop with vast options, this is the place to go to. They not only have coffee drinks but also boba, smoothies and espresso drinks! ALOT to choose from. They also serve food, which is nice when you're thirsty and also want something to snack on. I've tried their ham & cheese croissant and its good! Not really something you can mess up on though. Service is poor. I made a drive thru order and when I arrive to the window I was handed a coffee and I had to remind them of the rest of my order. She proceeds to bring my sandwich and once again I have to remind her of the pastry. Employee looked annoyed unapologetic for her not able to provide my full order. I love the Mexi mocha and have come a handful of times to get one, hot and cold. Both are great. The only downfall is the drive thru is always an extremely long wait whether or not there's a car in front of you. 2 stars for now. I had the worst experience in the drive thru. First I had to repeat my very clear instructions. Then the girl still made me repeat individual items a couple more times to confirm. To her defense, once I got to the window I could see she was trying to do way too much multitasking at once. Then the drive was awful today. Absolutely horrible taste, I threw it away. After the smell of burning rubber faded we got in line for the drive through at Coffee Nutzz and began to peruse the menu. Aguas frescas (fresh fruit juices) were on full display as well as an assortment of Mexican Breads. Been wanting to try this place for a while. Tried it today and the drive thru was long. I ordered a medium milk tea with EASY boba. The menu listed the sizes but did not depict them which made it difficult to order because I didn't know if the large was going to be big like it is at Tastea (32 oz). Overall, I enjoyed my drink. The milk tea was sweet enough for me. However, I was disappointed with how much boba was in my drink. It was well over the first line that is at the bottom of the cup. Coffee Nutzz is my place! They have so many wonderful things to choose from. Mexican bread, hot sandwiches, boba and honestly some of the most amazing ice cream I've ever had. The graham cracker and almond ice creams are among my favorites. Recently, I tried a frozen mocha wIth boba and really liked the blend. Each time I go to Coffee Nutzz the staff is kind and professional.
