    Bacon Burrito
    Kelly N.

We stopped in here on a Saturday morning to chill and do some crossword. It was too chilly to sit outside but the patio was very cute. We got the punk tart and the burrito. The raspberry felt super fresh and had a little sourness to it which we liked. The Bacon Burrito was okay, it just didn't have enough bacon. The flat white was standard and the barista offered to make us a chocolate espresso drink cut with hot coffee to accommodate our half sweet request. The ordering interaction was fine, but felt a bit curt. I'm not sure if this is their schtick (kinda like steins) but prefer a more upbeat tone from my weekend coffee shop.

Friendly service. The coffee selection is excellent. Freshly made food items. The veggie breakfast burrito was a nice size, full and tasty. The goal is to try everything on the menu. Indoor and outdoor seating. Spacious and eclectic.

This place is honestly the best coffee I have had in NOLA the flavors are all original and the punktart is a nostalgic take on my childhood favorite pop tarts. They have a very cool courtyard area in the back for studying or just simply relaxing. All the staff are super hospitable it makes you feel extremely welcome every time I've walked in.

I absolutely love this place. Their espresso Nebula iced coffee is literally my favorite coffee of all time. Their back courtyard is lovely. I would study their during school all the time as well.

I got a large and so glad I did! Photo doesn't look like much because you have to taste it yourself!

Recently pulled my back out badly. Was in desperate need of a great coffee and something to eat today. Coffee science was the best coffee I've had in this city hands down. It was a fast delivery, which was great. They were out of the sandwich I ordered and replaced it with a STUFFED veggie and egg burrito and a personalized note apologizing for the replacement. But that burrito honestly hit harder than a BLT could have, and the mocha latte was better relief than the pain meds I'm on. I've been wanting to try this place for months. Their instagram is the funniest piece of entertainment you'll find, and they have a huge heart for New Orleans.TRY THEM OUT Thanks for making a hard day better Coffee Science.

Breakfast tacos and pastries. The coffee is excellent 10/10. Hands down the BEST coffee I've had in New Orleans! Good coffee is only an equation away and they definitely do that here. The service is fun and friendly. The owner chatted with us about coffee for a while. The ambiance is clean and quaint. One of those old NOLA homes repurposed into a business. Our iced lattes have set the tone for a great day today. Love this place!

    Terrible tasting latte.

Guy with the white hair is rude and doesn't know what is in a standard latte. The shop is small and they had no food on the menu. What food they do have is just re-heated with an air fryer. Will never stop here again.

Favorite coffee shop in New Orleans! Their Venetian Creme is a must have every time I'm in town. It has a coffee with oat milk and coconut flavor that is very unique. It is premade and I usually ask to add coffee brew to it to make it less sweet. No wifi and limited parking are the only drawbacks to this place but I love the coffee so much that I am keeping it 5 stars.

    The Espresso Nebula
    Meghan D.

Coffee science is the best coffee in the city! My favorite drink is The Espresso Nebula. It is whipped espresso, milk, and cane sugar over ice and is a perfect balance of strong and sweet. The shop is cute, but you have to check out the courtyard. The courtyard is charming with lots of tables and trees. A great spot to enjoy coffee or read a book. I will continue to visit coffee science in the future!

There are some cute tables and chairs outside as well as about 10-15 seats at counters inside. I was greeted when I walked in and got in line at the counter. The pastries looked so fresh and delicious it was hard to choose just one. I went with a Pan O Chocolat, a chocolate filled croissant and iced latte. The prices are typical for a coffee and pastry. The croissant was so flaky and mouth watering. I ate very slowly enjoying each bite. The iced latte was good as well. I sat right by the espresso machine and enjoyed watching the baristas making coffees. I saw one come out with a perfect heart on top. They also have full bread loaves for sale as well as items for breakfast and lunch. I will definitely be back to try another pastry.

I wasn't a fan of the cinnamon roll due to the crunchiness of the raw cane sugar on top. Ayu is a counter service restaurant with a full service coffee setup. The line moves fairly quickly, so don't be deterred if the line is out the door. Seating is very limited, so we took our items to go. Definitely worth the visit!

Our first day back out there, fortunately, the line wasn't too long so I got some plain beignets, a crab beignet and some sweet potato cookies. First thing I ate was the crab beignet. WOW! I'm not the biggest fan of crab but that thing with that sauce...!! Lived up to the hype. I love candied yams and sweet potato pie so I had to try those cookies. Also amazing! Huge. Texture was perfect. Dang!! Now, the beignets. Did I like them more than Cafe Du Monde's? Hands down! Si! Oui! Nai! YES!!!!!!!!!! From the first bite! Dang!!! I still have to try Cafe Beignet's beignets. But Loretta's is gonna be a tough act to follow. I will never come out there and not go to Loretta's. Will someday make a trip to the location at North Rampart Street. And the service...! The young man who took our order was so nice. There was a bit of a wait (just a few minutes. Totally worth it!) but there's seating right across from Loretta's stand. My next visit, I'm bringing some zip lock bags and/or Tupperware cos I'm bringing some Loretta's back home with me. Dang!

One of the customers suggested having the line routed through the inside of the covered market, which was an amazing idea. So I walked to the front of the line and asked the cashier if she would be able to reroute us so we wouldn't all get soaking wet. She was the only person working up front and taking orders, but she was pleasant and kind and said sure. After she finished taking the order she was working on, she came from around the counter and rerouted the line so we could all get out of the rain. After that, the line seemed to move a little quicker too. I'd say we waited about 30 minutes, maybe even 25. We knew what we wanted because we were able to see the menu while we were waiting, but there are no prices listed, so you are a little shocked when you get to the register. I believe one crab beignet was between $8 and $9. I ended up spending about $40 total on two orders of traditional beignets, one crab beignet, a sweet potato cookie, and one order of praline beignets. The traditional and the praline come with three each, but the crab only comes with one. I posted one of my receipts below. Can't seem to find the receipt from my larger order. Now let's get to the taste.... they were amazing! Yes, when you go, try the crab and try the praline. I probably would not buy the traditional beignets again because they are significantly smaller than the Café du Monde beignets, and the taste is not drastically different. So you're paying more and getting less for pretty much the same product. But I would absolutely go back for the crab, the praline, and some of the other items she has. My cousin also had the beignet burger, which she said was great. All in all, it was a great experience. I just wish the beignets were a little bigger and the prices were a little lower, but with the cost of everything going up, I do understand. There's not much of an ambiance because you're pretty much sitting in a covered market. Birds are flying around, tourists are walking through looking at the different kiosks, and there's a lot going on around you. But they made the beignets to order, brought them out really fast, and there was a guy walking around wiping the tables after each person got up because, of course, there was powdered sugar EVERYWHERE. Lol.

The establishment began as an ice cream parlor selling handmade gelato but has since expanded to include pastries, desserts, espresso, cappuccinos, & lattes. The shop embodies the old-world charm of Sicily, and everything is authentically produced in small batches from high-quality local ingredients. The first gelato flavor that founder Angelo Brocato first produced & sold was Torroncino - a vanilla-based gelato with cinnamon & ground almonds. It's still served in their shop today. Locals love their handmade gelato, Italian ices, & desserts - as do I. My favs are the cannoli and signature Italian pastries.
