The few times I have been here I noticed the service keeps getting worse and worse. Last time I was here the music was on so loud I could barely hear what the employee was saying. Today I came back and they were out of cones. In the employees defense, they offered a waffle cup instead and didn't charge me extra, which was nice of them. But, it's strange to me to have an ice cream shop and not have cones. I took off two stars. The waffle cup was delicious and so was the ice cream. I ordered cookie dough ice cream with chocolate chip topping. One topping is free. I'm more of a frozen yogurt fan TBH.

Updated review. Bad customer service. There was one customer being rung up. I was the only one waiting. They saw me coming in. No acknowledgement. I was behind the guy social distancing too. Customer just walks in. They tell me to wait and they serve him. WTF??? Two staff behind the counter. The other staff was just putting stuff away. Totally ignored me. I save my money and go elsewhere. Not worth it coming here. Posting updated review. Take your money elsewhere.

My friend was craving cold stone ice cream so she decided to place an order via the GrubHub app. Unfortunately the GrubHub app did not allow us to add all the toppings that we wanted on our ice cream. We decided to call the Cold Stone Creamery to see if the items could be added over the phone since the order was already placed. The employee informed us that our additional toppings were not added and that she could not add any missing toppings over the phone. She also stated that she could only add the toppings that we paid for via GrubHub. My friend wanted to cancel the order over the phone but I'm not sure if the employee understood that the order should be canceled. She didn't cancel the order. I called back to cancel the order, I asked the young lady if she needed my name to cancel the order. Instead of saying yes or no she just hung up the phone. Two minutes later my friend received a text message on her phone saying that the order was canceled. Never again!

Located right next to St johns University, this place is always busy. I love ice cream and this is one of the best place to get your ice cream craving satisfied :) The staff here are students from the university, maybe not all but some are. They make the icecream nicely and always end up giving you a size up version of the flavor you requested which I don't mind one bit. The parking can be a hassle but if your coming with someone else, you can have them wait on the car and get it without risking a ticket from traffic agent. They also have cakes which you can buy and shakes but I never really tried it so can't comment on that but this is a place to go to for all your ice cream needs/craving :)

I like going to Cold Stones. The ice cream is good and its pretty consistent. Usually there is a line though and depending on the servers, how quick the lines move. Also depends on the customers too. You pretty much have enough time to decide before the server gets to you. There are shakes, smoothies, and of course the ice cream. There are a bunch of different options like Strawberry Blonde, Oreo Overload, a Peanut Butter one, Carmel one and a few more. You can also create your own flavors. You can also add extras like peanut butter cups, nestle crunch bars, sprinkles, etc. You have to pay for the extra toppings. The Gotta Have It size which is large, is pretty big though. The lines moved pretty quickly here when I was here and it was a big line. Parking is metered and can be tough depending on time of day.

I came here a couple of times. The first time was good but the staff member forgot to add rainbow sprinkles when I asked for them. The second time, I received melted ice cream...it looked like a smoothie in my cone. They have a decent variety of ice cream flavors and the small size (although pretty huge to me) comes with one flavor of ice cream and one mix in. The staff seem to work well together. They're able to remember codes on the POS, take customers orders efficiently, and enforce the five person limit in the store. For $10 a cone and after receiving melted ice cream, I don't think I will revisit. The ice cream did not taste extraordinary for me to consider making another trip to this location.

I ordered a custom cake. Upon picking it up, I was told "oh crap, I knew I forgot to do something today...give me 10 minutes!" She proceeded inside to decorate it. Which is fine, 10 minutes wait wasn't a big deal. When she handed me the cake she said "this cake is melting, make sure you put it in the freezer right away." I got nervous so I put it inside my car's insulated freezer pack even though the drive home was only 10 minutes on a cool day. When I got home, I took the cake out, and it was completely melted. There goes my daughter's second birthday cake.

There was never a time I visited this cold stone and they met expectations. I purchased a birthday cake from here and it was OLD. How do I know? Because the cake was FROZEN HARD, the red velvet inside was dry and tasted like sand. The cake was so frozen that there was snow on it! There's nothing more upsetting than setting yourself up to eat something good and wind up being disappointed.

The experience I had here this evening was beyond unacceptable. Just went there for a nice treat. I am pregnant and it's my birthday the young man served us. He wore clear glasses. Had an extreme attitude like he didnt want to be there me asking him for toppings was annoying him he was slamming everything when we arrived home which is 5 minutes away there was ice cream all over the bag from him not sealing the ice cream correctly.

Cake batter ice cream. That should be all I need to say, however, Yelp thinks that's too short. The line is always long so that's why it gets four stars. But they never run out of ice cream and they have some interesting flavors. Plus, you can add toppings and additions. They have like 20 things you can add to your ice cream to make it even tastier. Tonight it's cake batter ice cream with cookie dough. Yum. read more

Located near St. John's University, with a Chase bank right next door.. this location is extremely convenient! It doesn't matter what day you come here or what time of day ... not only is there always a line but the attitudes of the employees is ALLLLL-WAAAYYSSS on LEVEL 10!!!! The employees here are so rude and not helpful at all. I get it, you have to deal with people all day: screaming kids, lovey dovey couples, those who overthink their ice cream concoctions, moms who ask their 3-month old what they want, etc.. I get it. But I worked in retail for about 8 years and one thing i've learned... FAKE IT. Put a smile on, laugh any annoyance off, FAKEE THE HAPPPINESSS.. it makes your day go by a lot faster and makes your customers a lot happier (which tends to make your life easier). I got the sweet cream with oreo and brownie-mix ins. My friend got mint with brownie and something else (i forgot) in a waffle cone. When the employee asked what size he wanted he said just a waffle cone. She said "What size" he said a cone. She just kept repeating what size with an annoyed face and I said "he'll have like it". He told her he'd never been there before and was unaware of the portions (of course, since at most places a cone is ...well a standard sized cone). Better way to handle this situation? "we have 3 different sizes: you can choose like it, love it, gotta have it" .. or whatever the sizes are called. Anyways, the total for this order was $18 and some cents. . 18 frikken dollars for okay ice cream and disgusting customer service. Why do I keep returning to this location ... WHYY!? On the night of Monday 8/13 my family went to the creamery for ice cream and to use the rest room. Two of us were getting ice cream and two of us were going to use the rest room. The worker at the creamery said the the two using the rest room could not use it because they did not buy ice cream. We let the worker know we were leaving because of the behavior. Don't waste your time and come here seriously, customer service is everything and customer service here is the worst ! As per yelp they close at 10pm my boyfriend and I came in at 8:50 only to be greeted by a guy working here to be told they close at 9 ? Okay fine we still have a couple minutes no, nope they refused to serve us. Fine whatever I get it you wanna go home but he had the rudest attitude ever . Don't come here ! read more

It sounds like you're in a club with the music they play not an ice cream shop.. The last two times I've been to this location they haven't had berries for the "berry berry good"... so I was pretty annoyed after waiting on a line for 20 minutes.. the guy behind the counter didn't bother to ask me if I wanted something different or give me a suggestion he was ready to help the next person. I only really go to this location because it is not far from home... don't think I'll be back anytime soon. I'd rather drive farther and be treated a lot nicer. read more

I drove 20mins to get there arrived at 9:36pm which posted online says the store closes at 10:00pm...the dang employees had the door locked talking laughing it up...like since when can they just decide to close 24mins early & not accept paying customers...highly disappointed i love Coldstone but not sure if i'll return smh...really pissed i drove 40mins round trip for no reason coldstone really let me down big time. read more

I went today around 1220 to get ice cream with my niece and nephews and the main girl was extremely rude. she had headphones in which i didn't care about but she seemed so irritated by her job. like she didn't want to be here. i understand if you act irritated after a long day but we went when it first opened which was at 12 pm. I felt extremely uncomfortable. I didn't feel like I could ask her anything extra. I even apologized for being there so early even if I didn't need to. read more

This place will always have a special place in my heart. ( Had my first date with my current b/f there!!!) Other than that, can be crowded at times, minimal seating, Gotta love the singing when the get tips... I am tempted to not tip them to avoid it a times, lol. Really unhealthy!!! This cold stone is awesome! I had a terrible experience when I ordered a cake from the Howard beach cold stone so I came here to do damage control and get a last minute cake. The manager Josh was a life saver! He went out of his way to help me get the cake I wanted. He literally re frosted two cakes for me and Even piped on the colors I wanted, he totally didn't have to go out of his way but he did. Thank you Josh! The service there is great! And the cakes were yummy as always! read more

Something was really off about my visit tonight, I waited 1 whole hour to be told they didn't have brownies, pecans, almonds, and a host of other items needed when it was time to mix my ice cream, but lets back track to the 5 random guys and one woman who are not in uniform wearing random "fitted" caps behind the counter who are working so slowly the line has constantly been this long -_- Why did I stay? Because my coupon expired within an hour and yes I do understand we are pushing closing time, but do your long line the honor and announce what you have or don't have. Is that to much to ask? Did I tell you that the 4 random dudes disappeared and were in the back room knowing the state of the line? Then came back 25 or so minutes later chewing and wiping their mouths talking about "We are going to Yummy Taco" seriously dinner plans? After your long break and not washing your hands or scratching your nose with your glove on? Or the many inconsistencies you all have with the gloves on and off eww just eww? It was truly a series of unfortunate events that ends here because I was just that upset to get anything from this place if it's even Coldstone anymore besides the actual service, the tables were filthy and so were the floors I'm actually really disgusted with how run down that place was, good luck for the future goers! read more

I always come here for my ice cream fix! The birthday remix is my favorite! Never had a problem here. I just bought my daughters birthday cake here last month, January. It was about $60 to feed 20-25 kids but the kids and the teachers loved it! So I can't complain if they're happy. Who needs baskin Robbins when you have coldstones I mean really? Lol read more

Normally good I was very disappointed just now. I park and walk towards the door confident I would be able to enjoy some ice cream after my 15 min drive considering they close at 11pm and I had enough time to decide what flavor I want tonight. I watch one of the employees peek out and lock the door and run inside. Yes at 10:36pm. It's like a lottery figuring out the hours in this place. I now have to disappoint my children because these "kids" couldn't commit to what the business offers. I guess I should be used to disappointment with cold stone on union as this is a weekly practice for them. And now I can look forward to the 1 hour lines come summer, guess it's time to find somewhere else to endulge. Eat ass cold stone loosers. read more

Cake and Shake!! I swear just when I thought this place couldn't get any more unhealthier they start making milk shakes and smoothies! Usually eating too much of their Cake Batter ice cream makes me sick but the idea of having it in shake form was just too appealing. So I ordered the small and instantly I was in sugary haven. It was like having real cake batter put in a cup for you to drink! This is definitely one of those once in a while treats for yourself like fried oreos. read more

I should have known that something was wrong when the massive line of patrons was missing. I haven't been there for a few years and was looking forward to my favorite Cherry Vanilla ice cream. When they said that many of the flavors had been replaced and they no longer have Cherry Vanilla, I settled for plain vanilla. Other than the neighborhood ice cream truck, this is the worse thing I ever tasted. I was in total shock at the poor quality of the product that was served to me. It tasted like it was made from a powder. There was not a hint of vanilla flavor anywhere. I get the impression that the business was sold to an owner who is cutting major corners. Very disappointed. I have now been cured of what little desire I had for ice cream. read more

Being a resident from Nassau county, I've been coming to this particular location for the last year and I must say this young lady with a gap went above and beyond to to make sure my ice cream was exactly like I wanted. Since I was disappointed the past couple of days because there wasn't any waffle cones but today this young lady which I presumed made the cones made my day. Her service was impeccable . From her friendliness to the way she took time to prepare my ice cream. She was very patient. This is still my favorite location. P.S the ice cream was yummy and she deserves a raise. I recommend this cold stone to anyone in the Queens area. read more

Came to fulfill my ice cream craving, and it did! Walked in and it was bright and had a good vibe. Pretty empty when we came in but once we sat down it got busier. Music on a playlist which was fine~ the guy who made our ice cream, I got chocolate devotion and a milkshake, was full of energy and polite. read more

I love coldstone! I'm so glad I found this location since it's close to where I live. I'm a big fan of the Oreo overload sundae. I love being able to make my own as well. The staff here is speedy and friendly. The patrons, however, are not as nice. I came here one evening with my boyfriend and it was rather crowded, so I ordered and while I was paying, a table opened up so he went and sat at it. A girl behind us who hadn't even ordered yet then sat down across from my boyfriend at the table. So rude! Rather than make a scene, we left and ate out ice cream in the car. I guess I wish they had a larger location with more tables, I can't imagine how crowded it must get in the summer if it was that crowded in February! read more

Waited at least a half an hour to get served. Ordered a cotton candy with poundcake. The picture below will show you what I received. And I ordered a pistachio with almonds. The guy said there were no almonds but clearly in the counter was the almond topping. He put it to the back. With no explanation. I will never come here again. read more

Was there last night. I've pretty much tried everything in the menu. I'm ready for ColdStones to come up with different ideas as far as Ice-creams come up with different creations or even have a Secret ColdStones menu for Holiday season time or just to have different flavors and I personally think that would be so cool and i would definitely support that. read more

The line is almost always fairly long especially on the weekends. If I can give some advice, maybe have more than 1-2 people working the line where the other one is hopping in and out of the back room every 3 minutes. Every time I walk into this place there is a horrid smell of spoiled milk that I assume comes from the kitchen not to mention the workers look like they dislike their job and are so unsociable. However, if you don't mind dealing with any of this, they do have very good ice cream. I recommend the cotton candy! read more

Horrible experience at this cold stone. Closing employees talk shit as if the customers don't have ears. Employees there gave us attitude when me and my boyfriend ordered our icecreams and then they proceeded to berate and insult my apperance, specifically targeting my hair. If they had an issue with the way I look, they either should've taken it to the back or told me straight up. The fact that they were looking at me and making loud remarks about how I look and snickering about it, made me feel very uncomfortable. Be warned and stay away from this coldstone and their horrible employees. read more

To me, Cold Stone is more of an event than somewhere you're actually gunna wanna go for dessert very often. Choosing which crazy ice cream combination to get is half the fun, and watching them prepare on it on their COLD STONE. The actual ice cream is real good, good quality, just a little too sweet and overwhelming. I would take a Cold Stone virgin here to show them how it's done, but opt for some haagen daaz or something for the average quality ice cream craving. read more

The ice cream here is amazing, but the service is terrible. The employees are as bad as it gets. A Sunday afternoon, the line is out the door and the employees are working with no sense of urgency and on their phones. And can't forget fixing their nails, which is disgusting. Some aren't even using gloves and touching the ice cream. Worst service I've ever seen. read more

However, the staff were also super warm and accommodating, and the quality of the items we got (gluten free vanilla and chocolate cupcakes) was great. The actual cake bases of both types were moist and flavorful. I could've gone with a little less frosting and more cake, but it made for a very aesthetically pleasing topping with the vibrant colors, sprinkles, and glitter. I kept getting strong hints of rose flavor from the pink frosting on the chocolate cupcakes so I'm not sure if they infused it with that. Overall, a great little spot, and really a savior for procrastinators looking for sweet goodies to take to a gathering when other last-minute ideas fall through!

The Dubai chocolate slice tasted better, but tbh, the Dubai chocolate cake from Costco not only tastes better but has a better price point! I was really excited to try their ice cream - I loved their flavor choices, but that's where my fondness pretty much stopped. The pints were pricey and taste super home made (not in a good way). The ice cream was hard and while it tasted like sweet cream, it was definitely not churned enough to carry a smooth texture. They pints were Van Leeuwen prices but the taste and texture was far from quality ice cream. In this case, I much rather pick up a pint of Hagen Daz, again much better price point and better quantity. The store is pretty but I won't be returning.

At $3.50 per cupcake this wasn't too bad for single serving desserts, compared to some other places today, for the overall quality I'd order these myself next time! No issues with delivery either, it took about 45 minutes for cupcakes to arrive (the delivery location was about 20 minutes away driving from the host's home).
