    Ice Cream Cake
    Katelin G.

Terrible location. Ordered a cake for a birthday, the cake was poorly decorated and lacked the features shown upon ordering. Very disappointing, never got a response back addressing disappointment. Overall, avoid this location and ordering cakes from cold stone in general.

    Closed early. So annoying!

Just leaving cold stone! I won't be back! They are very unprofessional and decided to close at 9:45 PM when it clearly states on their website and on Google that they close at 10 PM... Nonetheless, 9:45 PM as a random time to close. See attached photos! Make sure you call before you head over... If you even want to head over because I see they have an average rating under two stars lol I know why... Save your money, your time and your calories go somewhere else! UPDATE: Went to Handels Ice Cream.... short drive down the road, they stay open and really friendly staff! Yayyyyy

Service threw me off, 1st time visiting cold stone, as a first timer I clearly don't know what flavors they carry. I wanted to see for a minute... not even 1 minute passed since I got asked again if I was ready to order. BOTH (blonde and blue headed) employees made me and my friends feel rushed we decided to walk out and walk across the street to Handles Ice cream shop instead. Won't be coming back to cold stone. DATE Visited || 01-25-24 TIME || around 8:45 PM.

    And dirty...

Dark and dirty. If I'm paying $18 for a few ice creams, I'd expect slightly better conditions. The inside of the glass of the ice cream case looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months and the hanging lights (all off) above the counter have a thick layer of dust on them. If they can't take care of the easy stuff, how are they doing with the stuff we can't see? Add to that like half the ceiling lights seem to be out, and this was easily the most depressing Cold Stone

    first bottom floor

Going to stone cold was great. The owner let us photographers explore the stone explain how they make the ice cream and clean their station to serve the customer. Lastly, give us a cone and the best ice cream I ever had in Oceanside.

Terrible service. Line 8 deep, staff of 2 on a Tuesday eve; one not serving customers at all, the other trying hard not to. Give it a pass.

Five stars all the way! We have found our new favorite breakfast place in Oceanside. We picked up a…read morelarge order to go which took ~15 to 20 minutes on a weekday around 8 AM. One of the best items is the Chicken and Waffles Benedict ($19). It worked extremely well together with the sweetness of the Belgian waffle and the savory notes of the chicken. It included small containers of maple syrup. The hashbrowns were the best! They really killed it with the super crispy outside. Loved it! However, DH liked the Savory Crêpe ($15) even more! This one just had such a great flavor combination: the little bits of chicken, mushrooms, and classic Provence seasoning. The avocado toast ($8.50) with an over-easy egg ($3) was amazing. It features a multigrain bread and just had some great toasty flavors and topped with a little bit of micro greens. Everything worked so well together. The ham and cheese croissant sandwich ($9.25) is a rectangular shaped one. There is an omelette "patty", tomato, and bacon on the inside. This one was also surprisingly good, even when deconstructed and reheated the next day. The kids really enjoyed sharing a sweet crêpe ($14) with four toppings: strawberry, banana, chocolate, and real whipped cream. We tried a cappuccino ($5.25) and a soy latte ($5.25 + $1 for milk substitution). They were really good, not bitter, but I wish it was a little bit more concentrated. Maybe I'll try oatmilk next time. All of the pastries were amazing. We got a bunch to share and enjoy throughout our vacation. We tried two scones ($3.85 each), blueberry and raspberry pecan. The scones were nicely crunchy on the outside, yet soft and tender on the inside. Wow! We froze these for eating the next day and slowly thawed them in the oven and they were still wonderful. The brown butter chocolate chip cookie ($2.95) had a rich buttery taste. The texture is right in the middle and it's pretty large. Holiday Christmas tree cookie ($4.50) is a delicious buttery sugar cookie with a multitude of sprinkles. This one is not very big, but you can tell it required a lot of work to make it. Get more than one! The Chocolatine ($4.75) was a favorite. So flaky and it has a good amount of chocolate in the middle. Cheese Danish ($4.75) and All Day Bun ($3.75) are saved for later so we haven't tried them yet. Overall, an amazing place for a high-quality breakfast. We will be back!

I have had amazing cake shops in Los Angeles (sweet lady Jane, Porto's, even the tom cruise cake) but this place makes the most amazing, consistently delicious cakes. I dream about the moment there's another event that needs a cake so I can bring some from Crimson cake. I love their cakes so much I ordered a full cake tasting so I can try different flavors. My top favorites: 1. Chocolate with chocolate mousse (it's insanely perfect and great for freezing small pieces and bringing it out to nibble. Also equally love chocolate with fresh strawberries but just doesn't last as long in the fridge. 2. Black Forest cake - decadent chocolate with fresh raspberries that cut the chocolate decadence with the perfect balance 3. Pineapple and coconut- anyone who loves this combo will LOVE this cake. My husband's favorite. 4. Red velvet - not overly sweet exactly how I love it. The other favors I've tried that were decent were carrot cake, pistachio raspberry, almond raspberry. Pistachio flavor is super subtle. Carrot cake was not as moist as other carrot cakes I've had and almond raspberry couldn't taste much almond. Service is great and always good communication. They even made sure to load my car with items I've over based over the past year. Location is in a business park area so never had an issue finding parking. Crimson Cake will be my forever cake shop. The incredibly sweet woman behind the counter who helped us with a dessert order for a family dinner for twelve, the sheer beauty and variety of the baked goods in her store, or the 20 amazing cookies we ended up buying. The Carlsbad Bakery has been around for 40+ years specializing in Danish and French pastries, quiche, cupcakes, cakes, and too many eye-popping things to list. We walked over on a Friday and after talking to the proprietor decided that a variety of cookies would be the way to go. What wasn't easy was deciding what type of cookie, because their big chocolate chip, pistachio, almond, cherry, and peanut butter cookies all looked beyond amazing. We decided on a box of 20 mixed cookies ($52.90) and returned the next day to pick them up. My Sweet Lord, the box was as heavy as a bowling ball and was warm with freshly baked cookies. The intoxicating aroma penetrated the carton and filled our hotel room. When they were served at dinner, people's eyes popped out of their heads because they were so gorgeous. I managed to restrain myself and limited my dessert to one pistachio cookie that was fantastic. Of course, all of my cousins wanted to know where we found these amazing cookies. Thank you, Carlsbad Bakery, for such a fantastic customer experience. Your store is beautiful, and your product is extraordinary.

The kind of view where you catch yourself staring at the water like you're in a dramatic movie scene, contemplating life, love, and whether you should order another martini. But today the bar area and atmosphere captured our attention. The place is clean, elegant, and effortlessly classy. Not pretentious, just that perfect "I'm on the coast living my best life" energy. The atmosphere is warm, breezy, and polished enough that even the silverware feels like it pays rent. Service was excellent, the team took care of us like VIP guests at a private tasting. Attentive, friendly, and smooth. No chaos, no attitude, no disappearing acts. Just genuine hospitality that makes you think, "Yeah... this is why Oceanside stays winning." We only stopped in for drinks, but you know, that did not happen. Now let's talk about the fresh, amazing ceviche tostada, because this thing deserves its own paragraph, its own applause, and honestly maybe its own mural. The fish, "Wow"...packed with flavor, Fresh...fresh. The citrus? Bright enough to wake your soul. The seasoning? Balanced like it studied meditation. And the fresh avocado? Thick, creamy slices that sit on side like royalty. This tostada didn't come to play, it came to change your mood, your day, and possibly your future plans. Now my martini is talking...ha ha ha. It's the kind of dish that makes you consider ordering two more "just to confirm the flavor profile." "Bloody Mary Oyster Shots" These shots were dangerously delicious. Spicy, briny, bold, and smoother than a pickup line from someone who actually knows what they're doing. You take one and immediately think: "Yep... we're definitely doing another round." They were fresh, flavorful, and honestly? A little too good. The kind of shot that makes you question why you ever settled for regular Bloody Marys in your life. This was the main reason for stopping by, the "Amazing Dirty Filthy Martinis" Ah yes... the dirty filthy martinis, the ones you enjoyed at the bar while soaking in the ambience and plotting your next visit. Perfectly chilled. Perfectly briny. Perfectly filthy. Mmmmmm hmmmm, These martinis were so good they should come with a warning label. And the bartenders? On point. Skilled, fast, friendly, and clearly proud of their craft. You can tell they're the type who could make a martini blindfolded and still nail it. The ceviche tasted like Poseidon himself personally approved it. The oyster shots were so good they convinced me to order a few more rounds. So delicious! And those martinis? Filthy enough to make you blush, classy enough to make you behave. This place is clean, elegant, delicious, and run so well. Special thanks to the staff and management!
