He was also very meticulous, just as I am. He understands how important it is for something to look nice and also be functional. He did not leave an "eye sore" -- he made sure that everything looked nice and also gave me some tips on how to better care for my tile flooring so that I don't run into the same issues. I posted a Yelp Quote request and the bids came back rough. One contractor wanted $600 to swap the tile, another talked about pulling the tub to do the job right. KMC took one look at the photo and knew it was a simple fix. They came out, spent about an hour on it, and when they were done I honestly couldn't tell anything had happened. Two etched spots, gone. The travertine looks like the rest of the floor. The crew was professional and clearly knew what they were doing with stone. You could tell they've handled this exact problem plenty of times. They also do other restoration work, and after seeing the result on this, they're who I'm calling next time. If you have an etch, stain, or damaged spot on travertine or natural stone, send them a photo before you let anyone talk you into replacing tile. Saved us a lot of money and a lot of disruption.
