My order from JM9 kitchen
Cris I.

The Colony is a ghost kitchen with over 30 businesses to choose from. I'd been here twice already. I'm always open to discovering and trying new businesses. I'm always happy to support small businesses. Having said that, I have tried JM9 on my first visit and 360 degrees fusion. I liked both of them. The quality of food was great. Portions were huge at a very affordable price. There's seating both inside and outside of the Colony. There's three ordering kiosks inside but you're welcome to place orders online. There's always an employee in the counter who could help you out with your order and hand your order when it's ready. There's a restroom inside. Two TV sets. Metered street parking and at the back of colony. I will definitely be back to try other businesses when I'm in the area.

Nestled in a cute courtyard with many different restaurant options, Colony cooks has something for everyone. Honestly a perfect option for a picky group with lots of different food preferences--you can pay separately at the kiosk and everyone can manage themselves. I had seen Sobuneh on socials and wow, they did not disappoint. They are in a ghost kitchen with several other restaurants with a shared courtyard, modest indoor dining area, and several computer tablet interfaces allowing for guests to place their orders and be tested when the orders are ready. This is a really efficient and seamless setup and worked perfectly for my purpose--hang out with a friend in the courtyard without time constraints. It looks like it was busy around 12:30-we arrived around 11:00 and there was nobody in the restaurant (except a woman who was playing defense by the computers--she thought by trying a different computer I was cutting the line--hilarious boomer behavior). Our order was prepared in 22 minutes exactly (I have the text time stamps). We got two burritos--the signature and the Cali. WOW! I have had many many many breakfast burritos and this one may be top 5 all time. Very balanced not too heavy and although I would have liked the pico and some sauce inside, you can ration your own sides which I very much appreciate--choose between a full bite of the classic base or add the fixings. I felt full and refreshed after and not heavy or bloated or anything which is sometimes the cost of a hefty breakfast burrito. Make sure you pay for parking! I got distracted and got a ticket around 11:30! The restroom has googly eyes on it--made me lol

Asada burrito with beans and rice. Barely any meat

I like king taco, but this location sucks. I ordered an asada burrito with beans and rice and they barely put any meat in it

My family and I came here for brunch on Saturday and we all pretty much ended up ordering from a different business. The food came out one at-a-time for that reason but decently fast and we were able to grab a table outside. I got the crudo pizza from GG Kitchen and it was delicious and so eye-catching that someone stopped to ask what I ordered so they could try it next time. It's a Roman style pizza made with a sourdough crust and topped with prosciutto and burrata. My family also said they loved theirs and we even ended up getting some Sobuneh breakfast burritos to-go for the next day because these are one of the top 3 breakfast burritos I've tried. My personal favorite is the vegetarian which comes with avocado instead of meat but they also have chorizo and bacon as protein options.

A menagerie of secret kitchens gathers at the corner of Santa Monica Blvd and Butler Ave @ Colony Cooks. You will be greeted by a friendly someone who will be eager to help you out should you need any ordering assistance at the kiosks. I saw a BUNCH of people coming through excited to pick up their Muy Thai order. It seemed to be a really popular offering. Also, as I was perusing the kiosks, I was delighted to learn that Kye's also operates a ghost kitchen out of here. Awesome, I love Kye's! I enjoyed the outdoor patio as well. It was well equipped with long picnic style tables for larger parties, high tops for smaller parties, heat lamps, and a few flat screen tv's. Colony Cooks might be an ideal spot to hit up for a quick no-frills lunch during a workday, if you're looking for friendliness, efficiency, and something for everyone. This collection of secret kitchens will meet your mish-mosh of a party's individual cravings and needs. It's like a glow up on the food court.

Great place for all-in-one food stop because they have 10++ restaurants in here. The ordering was simple. There were staffs helping out if you have questions. Good restroom and nice seating area. Unfortunately, it's too open to public. When I was eating, there was a random person that didn't buy any food, he came by and sat down in the seating area then smoked intense cannabis!! This totally destroyed my appetite. I left without finishing the food.

Established in 2019, (Pandemic prescient, perhaps?), Colony Cooks, or simply Colony, was poised to fulfill the Westside's sustenance during the ensuing lockdown and following hesitancy to dine out. Colony currently has 20+ Smart Kitchens (A.K.A ghost kitchens) to order from online and receive delivery through UBER eats, GRUBHUB™, DOORDASH, and ChowNow to name a few. Oh, via those cute little human piloted Coco robots too! Now with brick and mortar ordering either at their small storefront or online, or via smartphone; much faster than queuing up to use one of two kiosks. https://www.colonycooks.com/ National Pizza Day (yesterday) brought me here along with it being the address for a West Los Angeles location of NYC originated Prince Street Pizza (PSP). I'd read about PSP in Yelp Ambassador Quintin E. 's review of the West Hollywood location and anticipated ordering what he had, the Vegan Square. It wasn't available. PSP's full menu, not available. Ordered the Fancy Prince 10" Pizetta/Margherita instead because I was hangry. 1:00 PM and the place was jumping. Kiosk adjacent communal tables filled with customers as well as the shaded patio where beer, wine or seltzers may be enjoyed while eating and viewing whatever's streaming on either of the two flat screens. Lines to pick up and order via kiosk seemed to blend. Found the ordering line. Didn't wait long but before it was my turn, I asked the two guys behind me if they were on a time-limited lunch break since I'd never done this before I offered them cuts. They said that was sweet, they weren't in a hurry and had also never ordered here before. 1:15 PM trouble shooting customer service by a grace under pressure one woman show employee assisted me in completing my order, printed my receipt. Cash not accepted. While waiting for my pizza, I observed a few patrons much younger than I have similar issues completing their kiosk order but again with a most gracious assist from the young woman whose job would render me bonkers, orders placed. Perhaps when generating a smart phone order, a text is sent when it's ready, but for those who placed via kiosk a paging system or loud speaker would be great, just sayin'. 1:45 PM to go order ready to go. Me too, hangry! Would I do again? Only if necessary and NOT in person; delivery only. Since Los Angeles County is currently considered low Covid risk, neither staff nor clientele were masked but I was... Colony is located between Purdue and Butler, on the north side of Santa Monica Boulevard, a few blocks west of the 405 Freeway. Metered parking on Santa Monica Boulevard. Off Butler, limited free parking behind the building, patio entrance and delivery guy's pick up. 5 Stars for that grace under pressure gal. 3 Stars for the experience (And less than stellar pizza, more later.) 4 Stars average it is.

Outdoor patio seating for ALL colony orders customers
Henri V.

Colony Cooks is a ghost kitchen in West LA. The building processes and packages orders online and in person for over 20 food vendors. The building is free standing with a main area to place orders on touchscreen tablets. Outdoor patio seating available to eat your ordered food. Colony has been here for a couple years and the business idea heightened during the pandemic when online orders for delivery sky rocketed. Apparently, while the ghost kitchen may have been a good idea initially, the list of problems from order errors and delays is affecting the process of Expediency. Ordering was easy, after that it's chaos. The kitchen is not transparent to the public. Are the staffers handling the foods with safety measures: face masks and gloves? With over 20+ vendors, is there an issue with cross contamination?? With all the confusion and chaos, I allude the colony kitchen staffers as 'running around like headless chickens,' as the saying goes applies here. Customers don't see any of the chaos in the kitchen. Colony staffers are apparently inundated with the capacity of orders due to several delayed and countless errors, that I overheard and witnessed while placing my order, I was deterred from completing my order. The colony's ghost kitchen concept may have been great then but not now. If there's confusion, conflict and chaos in the kitchen, I would rather walk away and disappear like a ghost!

We came for burgers at Behold Burgers. We ordered at the kiosk board. It took quite a while to get our order but the burgers and the fries were good.

Poor costumer service
