I made an appt for 3:30 this past Monday and had to wait until 4 but the owner, who I'm assuming is Andy, was really apologetic and even brought me a bottle of water. I got a gel mani and pedicure for $37 and was pretty satisfied with the quality and attention to detail. The girl who did my manicure was really nice and made my nails look fab. Andy's brother did my pedicure and he was VERY thorough with my pedicure. I've never had anyone care about my toe nails more. I will definitely be back! read more

Always TOP NOTCH. True, you might have to wait a few minutes, but they're slammed busy for a reason! If you don't have 20 minutes extra to wait for kick ass job, then go to a crap place and walk right in and sit down in their chair. These 1 star reviews are ridiculous. I've been coming to the same guy (Andy) for over 10 years. Never once has he let me down, and I'm very picky when it comes to my nails. So, disregard the lousy reviews, and listen to someone who's speaking from experience.. Being a Jewelry Designer, I sometimes have a project that isn't necessarily manicure friendly. I was working with metal clay recently, and wasn't able to get my nails done for over 6 months, so please understand the Before pic. But there's a before and after. read more

I must be spoiled when it comes to nail salons because I did not have a good experience at all at this nail salon. For a weeknight, it was REALLY busy and they took almost 5 hours to do my nails! Who spends 5 hours at a nail salon? That's ridiculous if you ask me. I'm not sure if it's from Yelp's popularity and good reviews but this if you want to have a productive day/night, do not go here. I even called in for a reservation, and I'm not sure if you have to be a regular or put in more money to get two people to attend to you but part of the reason why they took so long is because they did my pedicure first and the same person that did my pedicure did my manicure. I watched while other customers had two people working on them at the same time and I don't understand how they were able to request for that. I tried to make a request but my reply was that they were understaffed for their flow. Clearly, not too understaffed to grant other customers two separate people to work on you simultaneously. I didn't discover their hidden OPI selection until my pedicure was done. A regular that walked through their doors was given not only a pamphlet with their new OPI colors to choose from but was also was given a full description of their new line. I was asked to choose the nail polish colors in the front of the salon. If I knew about the new OPI line that lasted longer on my nails, I would have made my selection earlier from what they had to offer. Another one bites the dust. Don't always go for the highly-rated businesses on Yelp. Check them out for yourself to make your own determination. read more

I'm new to the area and have been seeking a regular nail place for simple pedicures. I've been having a tough time finding an affordable place that doesn't suck. I made an appointment for Colour Nails last night and hoped for the best. I like that they have plentiful, free parking, even if a guy did try to sell me Hello Kitty sunglasses out of the back of his car. It's not the most glamorous neighborhood, but hey, I can't afford glamorous nail prices. When I stepped into the salon, I saw it was PACKED. My heart sunk because I wasn't in the mood to wait. However, the manager took my appointment seriously, and I only had to wait about five minutes, which was more than reasonable, considering how busy they were. My nail tech was very nice and pleasant. I like that they line the tubs with a plastic liner, though who knows how much that actually presents the transmission of fungus. I'll go with, YEAH super hygienic! She provided me with a thorough pedicure, and I felt I was getting an excellent value for the $18 cost. My toesies were on fleek by the end of it all. Best of all was that they didn't rush me out of the chair and let me sit for a while to enjoy the chair massage, though I think I was lucky because they were closer to closing time at that point. I've been living in LA for around 3 years now and I think it's safe to say, I have finally found the one. Nancy is phenomenal. She is so sweet and friendly right from the start. I showed her a picture of a natural/delicate gel french tip and I didn't have to say another word. Nancy took her time and was very thorough throughout the whole process, always checking with me to make sure I liked what she was doing. She also offers other services such as eyelash extensions, so call and ask for more info! The salon itself is nice, clean, and filled with skilled professionals. I wasn't able to get the name of the lady who did my pedicure, but she was excellent as well. I would definitely recommend trying this place. It's always busy so I suggest calling in and making an appointment. Don't be late or you'll be stuck with a wait! 5/5 read more

Found this place in November and have been coming back once a month religiously since!! You can't beat $17 for a pedicure!! ($15 when they have specials). I live in Palm Springs and I pay $35 with tip for a decent job - not anymore!! I would highly recommend Danny. He is extremely detailed and meticulous. I literally go in now and he picks my color and length for me because....well, he knows best! Highly recommend you make an appointment. I have been searching for a new nail salon since I've moved away from my normal nail lady. After much searching I narrowed it down to 3 places, this place being 1 of them. I don't read too much into the reviews, I got by the pictures and look at the quality. I look through the reviews just make sure the place seems clean with no reports of fungus. I walked in this morning (Thursday ) @ 11. Andy greeted me by asking me what service I needed. I said a fill and gel nail. I also asked him about the price of changing the shape from coffin to stiletto. He told me (which I forgot the price), but he was honest by telling me that it wouldn't look good. I kept my current shape. He told me to pick my gel color. First I chose basic bkack, but then I decided on a dark gray #1, come to find out the 1 I chose is a Mood Polish so it changes colors (super cool). Andy did warn me ahead if time about it changing colors and showed me the colors. He did a great job, he worked fast, but didn't rush the job or quality. I was in and out in 40 minutes. FYI : He isn't a big talker and speaks very low. Lol. But he is very nice. The place is clean and looks nice. I observed them putting their tools in sanitation solution. There is a lot of parking which is free. I am use to spending $22 on my nails, but I was charged $30. I didn't get the break down of the charges, which I will get next time. read more

Appointment is irrelevant. They don't adhere to the time slot you made an appointment for, then what's the point. VIP customer can just walk right in and take your spot (that part I can understand, so this is to new customer, expect to wait even though you made appointment). They do a good job though, and can be very fast and professional if they are not crowded read more

This nail salon is top notch! I just moved to the neighborhood and have been looking for my new nail spot! Location is great. It is inside of a mini mall center next to the huge .99 store! Ample parking and no time limit. The inside of the salon is very clean and relaxing. There are a couple TVs and music playing. It does not smell like overwhelming chemicals. I had a gel manicure done by April. She was very sweet and did a fantastic job. She was very articulate and asked me if I was happy with my nail shape and color. Great arm massage! The rest of the staff was very nice and engaging. Prices are very fair. For a gel manicure it was $22. They even took off my previous gel color for no extra charge. I will be back for sure!!! I had a great experience with this nail salon. I forgot her name but shes amazing. (Wish i remember her name) but this place is simple yet offered different types of nails job. Metallic nail polish, gel, and powder deep. So many different colors, too. I am very picky with the nail salon and afraid because my skin is thin and easily get cut but she did a great job! You can say it's like a fantastic 'hole in the wall' type of spot. They do an excellent job and they are SO affordable for LA! I love it. Absolutely adore this little hidden gem! I've been here a few times now and I've finally decided to write a great review for them! The prices are reasonable and the staff are so friendly! I've always came as a walk-in and they are always obliged to take me in. I appreciate them for that! Today was different. A lady named Jenny worked on me today and I could tell she was kind of new. Although she was slow with my mani, she paid extreme attention to detail and wanted my nails to come out perfect! I told her not to worry about removing the extra skin that was hanging off my nails because I work in retail anyway! But she politely said "No! I want them pretty!" It surprised me because she didn't stop until she was self-satisfied. Be sure to tip these technicians, they truly deserve it! I always come out obsessing over my nails! You cannot miss this place! I've had nothing but the best experience here when April is my manicurist. My best friend introduced me to this place, which is conveniently close to home and I've been going ever since. Everyone is very friendly here and is usually fairly quick to accommodate you even if you are a walk-in. I would recommend making an appointment so that you get the specialist you like and quicker service. I tried my first gel manicure here and fell in love with the look and how you can do absolutely anything after getting it done without the hassle of waiting for it to dry. They have a huge choice in colors so there will definitely be a color to match anyone. I had Danny for my pedicure. He is very good and attentive to important details. I would definitely recommend him for pedicure, but he does take his time to clean so make sure you have enough of it. I say this because last time I was doing my nails before I had to go to LAX for a flight and it took much longer than I expected! We almost missed our flight! But I guess silly me for doing it so last minute. Andy is also an amazing specialist and is always greeting everyone with a smile! Best if you schedule an appt. They're busy. Upgraded LED nail dryer for gels! Very clean spa for pedicure. I finally found someone I trust to do my eyebrows, Nancy. No more driving all the way to Anastacia's in Bev Hills. Nancy is a PRO!!! This is my new go to place for nails and waxing. Satisfied customer! Overall excellent experience. 1) Make a reservation! 2) With your reservation, you may have to wait like 10-15 minutes. 3) For the cost - it's worth it! My gel nails last for a little over a month and they do a great job every single time! It's not the fanciest nail salon. It's also quite small in there, BUT they do a great job! Solid 4 stars for Colour! The price is unbeatable. I paid only $48 for gel nails and a spa pedicure with extra treatment added. I'm used to paying $60+! They have plenty of chairs so it seems like a walk-in is possible, but I called ahead for a Sunday and they accommodated an appointment within a couple of hours. Everyone was so friendly. It's not a super elegant place, but it gets the job done. I'm adding Colour Nails to my list of fast, excellent nail care establishments. read more

I love this place. I came in because it seemed more convenient to get my nails done here right after work then having to drive all the way back home. First off they are all very polite and nice people. Even tho it was my first time they all treated me like I was a regular, their place is kinda small but they still manage to keep the wait time to a minimum. (I've never scheduled an appointment.) I like getting my nails done with gel, and they have never disappointed me. The only thing I don't like about this place is parking and that's why I'm only giving it 4 stars. Their location is in the same plaza as other small businesses and the last time I was there the owner of the cigar shop told me something about having parked in "his spot" Nevertheless I am always pleased with this establishment and their work. read more

I specifically waited a month after my gel manicure to write a review. After a month, my gel manicure is still looking great and fresh with minimum chipping. I have had a few terrible experiences in the last couple of months- chipping after 2 days at a salon on the westside, dirty and shady salons in Hollywood. After reading a few positive reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I walked in expecting the usual loud "what do you want!?" In your face attitude. Nope, not here. They quietly asked me what I needed and told me to pick a color and have a seat. Shortly, I was seated at the pedicure spa where they covered the foot spa with a lining for cleanliness before they put the water into the foot spa, YES!! The spa chair has a massage option for your back. I love getting creative with my gel manicures so i decided to put together different pictures and came up with a look I named "Bad and Boujie". The lady was very patient with me and the style I wanted. I told her i have thin nails that chip. She immediately put a coating on that helped keep my nails fresh and only slightly chipped after a month. Finally a place I can go to routinely! :) read more

This is my go to spot! I live in the Ktown area so this isn't too far of a push for me. However, the parking lot is always a nightmare so make sure you give yourself enough time to find a spot especially since the 99 cents store shoppers take up most of the spots and let's not forget about all the Armenian bakeries who "reserve spots" for shoppers only Now for the good part! I can't say one bad thing about any of these manicurists. I've gone to each one at least once and I'm always satisfied with their job. I never have to tell them more than my color while at some places I have to tell them how I want my nails cut, how thick etc. The service is great and unlike most girls, I hate spending too much time at the salon so I love that 2 people are working on me at once so I'm not stuck there for too long. These guys are like the In n Out of nail salons, minus the long waits. They're crowded but they're fast! They're also the most affordable salon I've ever been to in my life! The manicurists never pressure or try to up sell you to a point where you feel uncomfortable. They just want you to be happy so they consistently check to see if you're satisfied with the service so far. I'm here at least once a month. I highly recommend! read more

Colour Nails was recommended to me by a friend who I'm staying with while I visit from out of town. I'd been curious about getting acrylic nails for awhile (I've never had them before) and based on my friends praise of this place and her own en pointe acrylics, I decided to give it a shot. Not only did it go as well as it possibly could, but it was hands down the *best* manicure I have ever had. I waited maybe 10-15 minutes as the nail tech finished up with another girl's acrylics, which was fine, because I was really conflicted about what color to pick! There were so many to choose from and I had my heart set on gels for their longevity. In the end, I voted for white acrylic tips, just a classic French manicure shaped short with rounded tips. Andy was the man who helped me. I was not expecting my nails to be cut so short and worked on with drill bits! But I trusted him and in the end was incredibly impressed with his precision. He obviously takes great pride in his work and doing it properly, using a lot of nail strengtheners and OPI products. Very communicative, made sure I was getting what I came in with. Would definitely trust this guy with more intricate, creative designs. At $28 for the acrylics in a French style, plus the expertise and know-how, I left what (I hope) is a decent tip of $7. I live in San Francisco and $35 for this kind of work is incredibly reasonable. When Andy thanked me for my tip, I said "No, thank you for *my* tips." ;) Will definitely come back next time I'm in LA! read more

I am LOVING my new nails! Got them done just in time for the New Years! I am a first timer here and am usually picky with nail spots but I found this little gem on yelp and I'm so happy I did! I booked my appt at 2:30pm and got there at 2:00pm (early) and they were able to accommodate me immediately. (They were packed for a Monday, I would recommend making an appt and arrive on time or earlier) - Parking was very convenient! I live in Korea town and it's so hard to find parking anywhere!! Usually have to pay for valet. Not this place though, they have they're own parking lot with other stores in the plaza. (99cent store etc) A new girl named Selena (younger lady) did my pedicure and gel mani w/ design. Been coming here for a bit now...always super busy. Why? Because they're pretty bomb at what they do. My regular lady was Nancy, but she's been out for a bit. She was great. Sweet and amazing job. Last time I went with Michelle and I brought a pic of the design I wanted. WOW! Such an amazing job. Very sweet as well. When the technician asked if I liked my nails, I was honest and said that I didn't. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction before leaving, there was no effort to address the issues or offer any type of discount or solution. In total, I paid $250 for my Gel-X nails, a pedicure, and my daughter's pedicure. Given the quality of the work and the lack of customer service, I do not feel the service was worth the cost. Unfortunately, I would not return to this salon or recommend it to others for nail enhancements. If you're looking for Gel-X or acrylic nails, I would suggest exploring one of the many other nail salons in Koreatown instead. I might consider this salon only for a basic manicure or pedicure, but I would not trust them with more detailed nail services.

So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

I came back for a refill, and two days later was in some of the most pain I've ever been in due to a cuticle infection. I voiced concerns that my skin was being cut, but they were shrugged off. After coming into the salon to show them the infection, the front desk staff was polite and helpful advising they would reach out to the owner and share photos they took of the nail. Days passed and I followed up again via phone as I didn't hear back. The owner of the salon requested PHI pertaining to the infection, including what Rx I was on, in order to even consider a refund. Initially, a gift card for the amount spent on the service was offered in lieu of a refund. I mentioned I was not comfortable receiving another service, and received a call back letting me know the owner was willing to grant a refund. Overall, the back and forth took about a week and a half. I was new to the entire gelx process, and am posting this review to let anyone else looking to embark on that journey know they should ask questions and voice their concerns. There are seemingly many happy patrons, but this was my individual experience.

THIS PLACE ISN'T WORTH EVEN 1 star!!! I was visiting my mom and we had planned a pampering day together which started by getting our nails done. We specifically made an appointment knowing that this place gets busy. We weren't acknowledged when we arrived. And, we waited. When we were finally sat...there was no one to do my mom. We had scheduled 2 mani/pedis that they said they could accommodate at the same time. LIE! After continually asking...someone finally did my mom after waiting about 45 minutes!!! Then...after her pedi (the way this place works is the same person generally does both the mani/pedi) left to take care of another customer. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Again...when asking what the deal was...NO ONE spoke up and would answer...even after I asked for the manager. Turns out the owner was there...and still didn't do a thing! After a THIRD inquiry and much wasted time later...finally the owner said that he would take care of my mom. This made us late for another appointment that we had because the service on my mom was so delayed!!! Staff there is NOT helpful...the service is HORRIFIC...and the workmanship is BAD! My mom had gone there before...they cut her...she bled...and it got infected. We thought we'd give them one more chance...and we're sorry that we did!!!! The woman who did my nails was a joke too. I was in need of a new place to get me nails done, and I yelped it for a technician that has cool funky style, and I saw that they were open till 8 so I called and made an appointment at 7:15. My GPS took me the opposite way on sunset to Beverly Hills, I called Andy and told hi. It would be another 30 mins till I could get there, and that I could reschedule , he said no problem come in we will work it out! So, I finally made it not knowing who's chair I was going to be put in and it was Andy! Told him I was going to Vegas this weekend and needed something funky and fun! Yesterday I had an hour to go do my nails. This store is very nice and beautiful. The workers are all happy. There was one lady I did not like. She was about to start on my pedi and than she got a notebook out and she starting writing in her notebook, she stop and than did it again, continuous. Like come on I came in here for to get my nails done quick and fast. Can she please do this on her own time not during the time I had left for my break. and I ask her what's her name? She said her name is V. I will still come back and everything, but maybe next time with any worker or let her know not to be so rude. read more

I must say you should know the right person to do your eyebrows because I have had a not so great experience. No, I didn't look surprised constantly but my eyebrows had no shape. The manicures here are insanely best. This is much fancier than the other nail salons at a reasonable price. I have tried almost every service they offer , eyebrow and Brazilian waxing, massage, gel manicures and pedicures and I can't complain about any of the services rendered here. I absolutely love this nail salon! I've been coming here consistently for a few years now, and it's truly the best. The entire staff is so talented. While the salon is beautiful and well-maintained, I was disappointed with certain aspects of the service. For example, there is an additional $5 charge to remove gel polish, even though gel removal is a necessary step for a gel pedicure. I feel this should be included in the service price. Additionally, pricing felt inconsistent -- my pedicure was quoted at $70 simply because the technician used a pumice stone for a few seconds. I was visiting my mom from out of town. I wasn't able to do my nails from hometown due to my tight schedule. My mom always go here and recommended me to try this place. When I walk in in was super busy and was skeptical wether I wanted to wait or not. Since my mom always go here I have it a try. Jenny did my nails and it came out great. They know their business and I will make an another appointment sooner than I planned. I felt pampered, which just doesn't happen much in my life. Just came here for my first time & will definitely be coming back! Anthony did my pedicure, & Nancy did my fill with gel. I was going to go with a light blue, but Nancy actually recommended a cobalt blue because it wouldn't yellow as fast. & would look better with my skin tone, haha! I have the best manicure and pedicure here. The staffs are incredibly skilled, professional and pay close attention to detail. They take their time and make sure you really love your nails. I called prior to explain that my nail had fallen off and needed the powder to fix it. The said that it was no problem on the phone. When I got there I had a lady tech that couldn't understand English and couldn't fil in my nail correctly, it was magic and bumpy. Instead, I spent over three hours in the salon because my nail technician repeatedly got my pedicure color wrong. I specifically requested Funny Bunny and Bubble Bath and even showed multiple reference photos. Despite that, she applied a regular white polish instead of Funny Bunny, and I had to ask several times for corrections. Throughout the appointment, I expressed my concerns to Sharon, the owner. Rather than stepping in to resolve the situation or advocating for me as the paying customer, she repeatedly told me to ask the technician to redo it herself. After multiple failed attempts, the technician eventually refused to continue working on my nails. Instead of fixing the entire pedicure, only a few toes were redone then Sharon stepped in to redo them. After spending three hours there and paying close to $150, I left frustrated and exhausted. The biggest issue came afterward. Since I was going to the beach, Sharon recommended acrylic on my big toenails. I had never had acrylic on my toes before and trusted her professional recommendation. Within days, my big toenail painfully ripped off and bled, and several of the other acrylic toenails began lifting and falling off in less than a week. After researching acrylic toenails, I learned they can place significant stress on the natural nail and, in some cases, lead to injuries like the one I experienced. Had I known the potential risks, I never would have agreed to the service. When I reached out to Sharon to explain what happened and asked how to safely remove the remaining acrylic so I wouldn't risk losing another toenail, I was shocked by her response. Rather than showing concern for my injury or offering to correct the situation, she told me I would have to pay another $15 just to have the acrylic removed. That response told me everything I needed to know about how this business values its customers. There was no apology, no accountability, and no effort to make things right after a service that resulted in an injury. Between the three-hour appointment, repeated mistakes, poor customer service, lack of professionalism, and being asked to pay even more after my toenail broke and bled, I cannot recommend Jade Nail Salon. I was a returning customer who gave this salon another chance, and unfortunately, it confirmed why I stopped coming in the first place. I hope the owner starts prioritizing customer care and accountability, because no client should leave a salon injured and then be asked to pay even more to fix the salon's mistake.
