Colton's Restaurant was good. Cowboy theme and decor. Seemed clean although table was a bit sticky. Waitress was real attentive. Chicken fried steak was tender and just right amount of breading. Mashed potatoes were creamy and smooth. White pepper gravy was just the right amount of pepperiness. Broccoli side was cooked okay but no seasoning on it. This review is on their baked potatoes. The best baked potato I've had at a restaurant in I can't remember when (except for the ones I bake at home). It was cooked perfectly. Fluffy. Having a coupon for a restaurant is always a good way to drawing us there. Armed with $10 off a $40 purchase, we went to Colton's in Sand Springs for Xmas Eve lunch. The lunch rush had just ended so we were seated quickly and served by "Jessie". I ordered the Ribeye with baked potato and Caesar Salad, which came out first. The greens were relatively fresh with plenty of croutons and shredded parmesan cheese. However, I am not a fan of the dairy-free, tangy, vinegar-forward dressing, so sadly I only ate half my salad. Made me sad because I love a good, hearty Caesar Salad. Plenty of warm yeast rolls were brought out as well. The interior of Colton's looks like a giant cabin out on the prairie with heads of deer and moose hanging proudly on the atrium walls. Steak was cooked to medium perfection, and the baked potato had plenty of butter. Jessie continued to tend to our drinks and ensured we were well served. Door Dashed a burger & fries, chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes & a side of broccoli. The way the food was packaged, nothing short of thoughtfulness. The chicken fried chicken stayed crispy!!!!!! Gravy on the side. My burger patty was separate from the lettuce, tomato, onion, & pickle so it wouldn't be a soggy mess & the steak fries were still hot fresh & lightly salted like I like it!!!! Enjoyed a nice steak dinner...Mama had Ribeye, I indulged a T-bone steaks were delicious, our server was a sweetheart, and we had an overall good experience. Drinks are $3+ each...surprise! So be prepared for that. We were visiting my brother in sand springs OK, and wanted an upscale restaurant ta take him to. He usually eats at home. And since we were staying at a hotel close to this restaurant we chose this one and were glad we did. We were seated immediately and drink orders were taken. They had limited beer selections but we got by, iced tea and soda were fine for most of us. Our server was very new and had to check with other people about some items, but we were glad she was forthright and pleasant. We all ordered the rib-eye steak , but all chose different sides and cooked temperature. When she delivered the food, including the salads, all with different dressings, she was correct worth placement of the food. So this place is good I had the ribeye the first time here and it was on the money. Cooked just right and plenty of flavor. The second trip try the Tbone don't waste your money. Cut way to thin and they will overcook it. Bottom line worth it just get the right meal. And if you get a chance ask for fried mushrooms not on the menu probably the best I've ever had. read more

Terrible, terrible! Loaded cheesey fries where cold, 4 pieces of chopped green onion ( minut), they were not loaded. They where order of under cooked. With 2 cheeses sprinkled on top burnt. I could not even pick up a fry. Burnt cheeses topping forbid that. I used my knife to cut into them then the cheese just came up off of fries. I lifted the entire cheese topping off in one piece it was so bad. Nadty I took pictures toshow family and friends so they could go different restaurant that suports quality. The rolls were not proffed correctly so they were FLAT not puffed up like usual. Ask server if this is there new biscuits. She said, No it just depends who cooks them sometimes they mess up and biscuits don't rise. Shameful serving mistakes poor quality product to customers. We sent them back and she brought us more but the were not any better. Sad that they would reserve the nasty unsuccessful biscuits. Through them out or give them to workers not paying customers. I would also remove Steakhouse from name they are not a steak house. Poor quality sreaks as as well. Do not waste your time. I travel for work and came here by a recommendation. Short and sweet if I teleported into a Texas Roadhouse while eating the only difference I'd notice is that there's no peanuts on the floor here and the butter for the bread is nowhere nearly iconic. Truth be told the margaritas were top notch and the steak (ribeye) was cooked basically perfectly when asked for medium rare. Prices are about what you'd expect for a mid grade steakhouse, no surprises there. Staff was friendly, food was solid, not overpriced. Crazy that this place has such low ratings on Yelp. We were seated right away and had a beautiful tiny little lady with a long braid serve us. (Jess) She was sweet and sassy, absolutely perfect. We started the meal with onion Tanglers. Way to big of a portion for 2 and delicious. I had the smoked steak that came with corn on the cob - 2 sides. I got the baked potato and side salad. The corn was a bit over cooked. The steak was perfectly cooked and we had some lovely rolls. (Something not quite right about the honey- maybe a honey like substance would be a better term. My husband and I drove from coffeyville ks to have dinner with our friends. It was worth the drive! Our server Brendon was a rock star. Kept us laughing and smiling the entire time. What an amazing young man! Id say we left there with a new friend. His birthday is coming up September 3rd so I hope he is celebrated! Food was great and ended up taking leftovers home. Stopped in for lunch on a weekday. We asked to be seated in a booth in the bar area. Skipped the peanuts. Bartender/waitress was Tori and she was very prompt and efficient. My wife got the lunch Sirloin ($10.29) with green beans as a side. I got the lunch Chopped Sirloin ($8.99) with green beans. Before the meal, Tori brought out some hot rolls with honey. Delicious. Steaks were perfectly cooked. My wife thought the green beans were way too salty and Tori replaced them with another side (mixed veggies). I thought the beans were good. I had a large Dos Equis ($8.99). She had the special Watermelon Margarita ($4). This is a good place to eat in Sand Springs. Check it out. read more

Update: Went back here tonight( the Friday after the Mother's Day mentioned above) with my dad who was in from out of town. Had the exact same meal. The food was still good but the customer service was lacking what it was before. Albeit, our waiter was slammed on a Friday night, but our appetizer was never put into the computer originally so we didn't get it at first. They did end up saying they would comp it and brought us the check without the appetizer on it. My dad paid, but when they brought the receipt back to sign after the card had been swiped, the subtotal was different than it was before. We even double checked the receipts to make sure they were the same ticket number ( they were; and just under $10 had been mysteriously added to the subtotal). A tip had not been given yet either as that would be written on the receipt you sign after the initial swipe. The mgr said that the waiter ended up accidentally charging for the appetizer even though it was never on the original receipt ( not sure how that happened but that's what they said). I want to give them the benefit of the doubt as this has never happened to me here before and I truly hope it was an honest mistake. I guess we will see in the future if this happens again. We came for a date night on Thursday around 630. Not too busy but also not dead. Our server didn't seem to know much of anything when we were ordering. Normally I look past that as I get starting new somewhere you need time to learn the ropes. But it took forever to get our rolls. Literally 1 minute before our meal and our beers arrived 30 seconds before our food. Our food was lukewarm. At best. They got my boyfriend's order wrong so we had to wait for the correct order. I work out of town a lot, I dont normally go to any local "steakhouses" because I've been let down so many times. Other than the ladies at the hostess stand not knowing exactly their seating situation ( chalked it up to training) which isn't a big deal at all because we were still sat promptly. My honey was craving, for some kind of dessert. So we came here because it's close to his house. We sat in the bar area, so we can watch the Bears game. We've came here before, our food usually decent. This time I order the skillet chocolate chip & ice cream, and my honey had their bread pudding with ice cream. I asked the bartender if they could not over cook the cookie. Sometimes some restaurants do and it's hard to eat. He said he would make sure they make it light. Well, the guy told us it would be 10 minutes before we get our desserts. More then 10 minutes went by, and no where our food came out. Finally we got them, my cookie was too dark and hard to eat. I mush the ice cream into the cookie to make it soft. I barely ate half of the cookie. My honey's bread pudding was really good, with their sauce they put on it. I should of gotten that instead. So, I gave in and decided that we would try Colton's again...mistake! I called to place an order for take out, and was first placed on hold for 3 mins. Not too bad, it is a Friday after all. When the young lady answered, she was in the process of taking my order and interrupts me with "sorry, I have to place you on hold I have another call" and places me on hold, even though I was in the middle of ordering!?! After about 3 mins, all I hear is 'click', I say "hello? Hello?!?" Nothing, she hung up on me. Ok I think, maybe she hit the wrong button, so I call back immediately. The phone rings 20 times, pick up, hang up. I call again, it just rings, no answer! Folks, I understand being busy, but learn some customer service skills!!! We walked in an hour before closing and were greeted with smiles and thank you's for coming. The staff from the host to the waitstaff (not just our own) was friendly and happy to serve us. We went to Colton's last night with our grandson. Service was mostly OK, Although the kitchen was slow on a forgotten order of steamed vegetables. I ordered a glass of "Chardonnay" because they don't have a wine list per se, just generic types. When the bill came my glass of wine was $12! It had ice in it and certainly wasn't from a regular bottle... More like a box or one of the tiny little bottles you can buy of mediocre wine. $12, seriously???? I only pay that per glass at some of Tulsa's best restaurants! Our food was average, per usual, but fine when we're with a five year old. Is it too much to ask, in Sand Springs, to be able to go out to dinner and have a glass of wine without feeling like you've been gouged on the pricing? read more

A Nice place to have a good steak. Our server was very attentive and it was an enjoyable time.
