Breakfast here is amazing. Tried almost everything on the breakfast menu. Can't speak for lunch and dinner, but I will say the parking is usually empty for lunch and dinner when I pass by. Breakfast usually is full. Most of the waiters are attentive and friendly. The busboys keep the coffee pouring and the coffee is the best coffee I've had in a diner. The home fries could use a little more flavor, but I still get them every time. It pairs well with eggs. They won't always tell you when you get the breakfast, that you can substitute the toast for a side of pancakes. If you go during the week, they even give you a shot of orange juice. read more

I went in to place a to go order. The woman behind the register acted like I wasn't there and took two people ahead of me. Only when I went and complained did she come over and take my order. I asked for my order with only white meat and told her I would pay for the dark meat just give it to another customer when they ordered and she began to act as though what I was asking for was impossible and made a scene. Even after I said nevermind she continued. To make matters worse she then said to someone that I got smart with her and all she was trying to do was help. When I said to the hostess no one got smart with her the cashier walked by and said if you have something to say to me the say it to me and stormed off to the kitchen. I can only assume to tell the chefs to do something to my food. Needless to say I cancelled my order and left. I will never patronize their establishment again. read more

Came here with a friend tonight, both of us starving, and decided to come here only because it was across the street from the gas station that we needed to stop at... Horrible decision on my part. We were sat immediately and our server was not courteous in the slightest which I did not hold against him since it was the end of the night. Both my friend and I ordered waffles and hash browns, but she also got a side of eggs and bacon because she is pregnant and hungry. When my waffle arrived before hers I immediately noted that it was lukewarm and dry like a piece of cardboard but I drenched it in syrup and reluctantly ate it because it was all I had to eat besides some greasy hash browns. When my friend got to hers it was basically inedible. The waffle was cold and the whipped cream on top was like "plastic" and only took two bites. I said I wasn't going to come back and she said to give them another try because maybe they have other good things on the menu.. When we asked for our checks she asked politely if her waffle could be removed from her tab because it was not good. The waiter called over the manager, Marco I believe his name is, who proceeded to condescendingly call my friend a liar, stating that the waffle was not dry and decided to "prove it" by grabbing her fork and hack away at the waffle in different spots and hold up the pieces in her face saying "Does that look dry to you?! Does that look dry to you??!" ..... (Are you f*cking kidding me??!) He then proceeded to say that the only reason she didn't eat it was because she was too full from eating her eggs and couldn't eat the waffle. He then turned to me and said "you ate yours if it's so dry"... So disrespectful. Our waiter then told us he is always like that and rude to everyone. Needless to say my friend quickly changed her mind about me or her ever returning in the future. What a sorry excuse for a business. read more

This morning at around 7:30a.m., I had breakfast at the diner with another friend. We were both very hungry and we were catching up on talking. I had eaten about 3/4 of my food when I looked down and was cutting into my eggs with my fork, I notice something that looked like a small hair. I immediately stopped eating and called the waitperson over (who by the way, was less than congenial). She immediately became defensive and said that, "they [cooks in the kitchen] wear nets, she looked at me and sort of implied that it could have been mine. I was not happy with her response.she then said let me talk to "him" (I guess she was referring to the manager). A man came over, defensive and had the audacity to ask me, "what is it?" I said, "you look at it and tell me what it is." I have been to this restaurant before but I am done with them. What he should have been saying was, "I'm sorry, and I'll take care of it." But to question me as though I was trying to run a scam was insulting, demeaning and irresponsible. While he did take the price off of my bill, the damage had been done and did not make up for his attitude and how he handled it. It started with the waitperson and how she handled the issue or I should say, didn't handle it. This diner is worth forgetting. How you treat your customers is extremely important to the success of a business. If my business means that little to them that they couldn't figure out how to gracefully handle the situation then i will take my business elsewhere. read more

We visited on Monday it was labor day with a full parking lot of cars which made me think wow full house the food must be good well Noooooo it was not. we were seated immediately however it took waitress 10 min to recognize we were waiting for her, we got water from busboy immediately but no waitress, now after she came with menu we asked for coffee which she brought to table in a cup not a carafe which is unusual to me. now we order and once I received my plate 10 min later to my surprise everything from preformed hash brown patties and salty sausages both greasy tasting were not diner quality but similar to fast food restaurants and did not look like picture on their menu. so to coin a phrase from food network tv channel ,triple D, this is a dive not a diner expectation. will not be returning here as one of the mgr. stated there will be a new owner soon good luck to them as we need a good diner in the area just hoping their food is better read more

Today me and my girlfriend decided to have lunch at the Columbus Diner. This is only my second time eating at this diner but my girlfriend and her husband frequent this Diner all the time. We ordered decaf coffee and asked for cream as well. The waitress brought the decaf coffee but no creamer. When we asked her where's the creamer she smirked and said I brought you the creamer. But when she looked she had put a saucer with butter in it on the table thinking it was creamer. Mistake No.1. We ordered I ordered their Belgian Sundae Waffles with Walnuts and my Girlfriend ordered the Panini with Grilled Chicken and a Salad requesting a pinch of Parmesan cheese and French dressing on the side. So when when my girlfriends order came the Panini and grilled chicken had French fries on the side and the food was cold because of the long wait. Mistake no 2,3. So the waitress said keep the fries I'll bring the salad. When she brought the salad it had a tun of parmesan cheese on it and she brought a side order of creamy Italian dressing instead of French dressing. Mistake no. 4, 5. So we asked for a refill of decaf coffee and she pour caffeinated coffee into our cups mistake no.6 How many mistakes can one person make? But by now my girlfriend is disappointed by the lousy service and the food was cold and tasteless. My girlfriend decided to let her know the service was bad and the food was not good. I tell you my girlfriend took two bites out of the food and was completely turned off. So the waitress brings a gentleman over who says what's wrong? So my girlfriend proceeded to explain and the guy says. I seen you before and you have complained before. And she and I said what? At the same time. So I jumped in and said your response is totally inappropriate. So he walked away came back with another guy and the guy said what's wrong and we began explaining again. So I said to the 1st guy where's your manager? He said I am the manager. I said is that how you respond to a customer who is frequent at your restaurant by saying I seen you before and you complained in the past. He is now denying he ever said it because another guy is with him. I said no disrespect but that's exactly what you said mistake no. 7 the other guy knows my girlfriend because she eats there all the time. He said customer is always right even if their wrong. But in this case customer is definitely right. So I asked the manager what are prepared to do? Are you going offer her something else or or comp the meal? The meal was comped but after much mistakes and arguments. My food was fine but after what happened today. I will never eat there again. I told my girlfriend to find another place for her and her husband to eat because now when that manager see's her he's gonna alert every waiter and waitress that she's the bad person even though she's not. It shouldn't matter how many times a person complains if you mess up the order 7 times it needs to be addressed and corrected the 1st time. No manager should ever utter out of their mouth I know you and you have complained in the past. It's totally unprofessional and inappropriate period point blank. If you and your staff were doing your jobs correctly there would be no complaints. DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE THE STAFF HAVE PROBLEMS RETAINING INFORMATION AND THEIR MANAGER IS TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND INAPPROPRIATE . Just want to say the other guy who was at the table his name was Emmanuel. He should be manager because he was more professional than his superior. My company orders breakfast to be delivered fairly regularly and my co-workers and I go for lunch once or twice a month. The food is nothing special - just diner food. We put up with their foibles - the guy who answers the phone is hard to understand, the potatoes often aren't cooked uniformly, little stuff. Well, no more. Yesterday we ordered 3 breakfast wraps. It was $15. Today we ordered 2 breakfast wraps with 1 side of potatoes. It was $14.75. 1 of them was missing the cheese. They were both on wheat wraps which we did not order. They basically seem to just make up the prices. I called to ask for an explanation on the prices and to let them know the order was wrong. He said it was "tax" and could not understand that there was no cheese. He kept insisting there was bacon - which there was, but which was not the issue! He could not grasp that the whole wheat wrap was not requested and decided to argue. He had no interest in making it right. I hung up on him. read more
