The technicians are wonderful here, but the reason for my 2-star review is due to management. About 10 minutes before my most recent appointment I received multiple calls in a row from an unknown number, and when I finally answered it was the manager of Comfy Nails asking if I was still coming in for my appointment. I wasn't even late! When face to face with the manager, his interactions with clients are purely transactional and impersonal. Before my pedicure was complete, the manager came by and insisted I pay early because he wanted to have everything closed out early. Went to this place because it was close to my house and one of the few places offering dip. Gave them 3 stars strictly because they were very friendly and squeezed me in. However my nails didn't look the best and only lasted a few days before some of them popped off. If you know anything about dip, they shouldn't pop off at all. He was very rough with my cuticles and the overall nail shape was uneven. Because they were squeezing me in I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that the guy doing them might not work with dip a lot, but it wasn't what I'm looking for so I won't be back. Update: Vikki the manager did reach out to me immediately and offer to make it right. I really like this place for acrylic fills. Last time I went I decided I wanted a acrylic removal and a new full set in a different shape. The nail tech didn't want to soak them off, instead pried off each nail using a nail tip. This was extremely painful and my nails still hurt days later. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is the set looks fine. But I can hardly type or use my phone because the pain. I'm very sad about the damage done to my natural nail. Ripping the acrylics off is not standard practice. Soaking them doesn't take much longer and is way better for the natural nail. Disappointed. read more

DO NOT GO HERE WITHOUT A RESERVATION. It's a very small salon with very few nail techs. I called around 2:45pm on a Wednesday (the Wednesday before the Fourth of July holiday to be fair) to ask if they had any openings if I came right then. The only thing you will be told on the phone is that they accept walk-ins but they can't guarantee anything. I said I understood that they couldn't guarantee no wait but that I was just trying to figure out how busy they were and whether there was any chance of a manicure that afternoon. I got the same line again. So I stupidly went by. I figured - well, if they don't have an opening, I'm sure they can fit me within an hour or so and I've got a book I can read. So I walk in, I say I would like a dip manicure. They then tell me that someone is late for her appointment and if she doesn't show up in the next 8-10 minutes, I can have her appointment. And I asked when I could be seen if she did show up for her appointment. Answer? FRIDAY. I'm not sure why they gave me that line repeatedly (we accept walk-ins, but we can't guarantee anything) if they knew that the only chance of my being seen that day was if someone didn't show up for an appointment. Of course, the smart woman who had made an appointment did walk in a few minutes later, and I was asked if I wanted to make an appointment for Friday, which I didn't. So, no I can't speak to the quality of their services. But this was a really bad customer service experience. I drove all the way over there on the basis that I might get a manicure if I waited when in fact my only chance of getting a manicure was if a single woman didn't show up for her appointment. It's really hard for me to make appointments for manicures (the only reason I was hoping to fit one in that day was that my supervisor had let me off work early since it was the day before the holiday). Since I certainly wouldn't go back without a reservation but have a hard time making a reservation, Comfy Nails Zone is definitely on my don't-even-bother list. read more

I paid $70 for a pedicure and gel polish on my nails only for them to put two different colors on me. I didn't notice until I made it to my next destination and now they aren't answering the phone. I chose the DND Pearl pink polish... also, one of the employees was having a very loud and inappropriate conversation during my visit that made me uncomfortable. I didn't have a bad experience the first time when I went a few months ago. This place is literally down the street from me which was nice. I just don't think I'll ever go back. Mind you, this place is definitely on the higher end $$ wise. I'm totally okay with paying 35 dollars for a pedicure as long as it's worth it. Anywho, I call on the phone and they get me in 2 hours later. The nice guy who answered the phone asked me what services I wanted. I told him a regular manicure and a regular pedicure. I may add on the $10 dollar wax treatments once it was awesome the first time I had it. Without tips looking at $60 bucks minimum. Anywho, get to my appointment and start to look at the colors. I grab 5 fall colors so each finger is a different color. No gel/no fake nails just my plain nails. I tell the lady doing my pedicure what I want and lined them up as I wanted them on my toes. She does the whole pedicure.... Everything with the actual pedicure was great. Although, I will recommend that the pedicure lady shake out the scalding hot towel for a second before putting it on my legs. I did say it was hot hot and she replied with some people do like it that way.. okay.... Next, time to paint, she puts on the clear coat. Starts to paint the first big toe and the color is running out of that bottle. She said she would be right back so she could shake the bottle. She came back and starts to tell me that it will be an additional $10 dollars to put 5 separate colors on my toes and $15 for my fingers(which I haven't even started my manicure yet.) wtf, she already started to paint. I ask her why and she said she would get her manager. This is where this place gets 2 stars. Manager comes over with spicy attitude.She greeted me with YES?.... not even like "hello miss May I help you?" Or "hello, I heard you had a question." It was straight Yes, as if I was inconveniencing her. Taken aback I said yeah, I'm just trying to understand why there's an up charge for separate colors. She said it says in our menu. (I didn't look at the menu With extras because I told the guy when I booked my appointment what services I wanted). I never thought this would be an extra... I said to the manager why didn't she (pedicure lady) didn't say something to me in the beginning when I showed her what I wanted. She said "she didn't know". I said what do you mean she didn't know? I told her when I sat down exactly what I wanted. She said no, she didn't know about the extra charge. FYI, I had the same pedicure lady do my toes a month and a half ago. So, then I was like okay..... manager walks away. Pedicure lady starts saying she's only been there 3 months and she wasn't aware of the up charge. At then end of the day I picked one color, already picking colors is a process.... I told the pedicure lady I won't be doing the manicure I scheduled. Everything finishes up and I go to pay. The man that scheduled my appointment was ringing up my bill. Sure as shit he says "you didn't want your manicure?" I proceeded to tell him I did want one until I was to be charged an additional 25$ total to do the same colors on fingers and toes.... he said oh okay... I asked him and why is that. Seriously, I want to know why 5 bottles of opi nail polish would be 25 more bucks... he said I'm sure we can figure it out. He said let me talk to the manager... I told him oh no, I already did and she was not helpful and rude. He asked which one and I told him it was the lady he pointed to and walked out. The first time I went here the lady who did my gel was pushy and rude and told me she didn't like tattoos after she saw mine. She also asked me 10 times if I wanted my brows waxed even though I told her no the first 9 times. This time, I called previously and asked if they took walk ins for gel removal. They said yes. I walk in next day. and ask for gel removal and she says "let me see what I can do" 15 min goes by and she says and I quote "I'm having a hard time finding someone to take your polish off since it's such a cheap service. No one thinks it's worth their time". um, excuse me? But she assured me someone will see me in the next few minutes. An hour goes by and another gal walks in with no appointment. She wants her gel removed and replaced. She gets seen IMMEDIATELY. no wait. At this point I ask what the chances of being seen are and receptionist says "slim" - I think she realizes I'm very angry so she scrambled to find someone to see me. The girl that takes off my polish does not even speak to me. Just grabs my hands and starts. No hi. No how are you. No sorry for your wait. Nothing. Then just walks away when she is finished. Keep in mind this service took a total of 10 min when they actually saw me. Quick and easy. But because I wasn't getting 5 other services they didn't want to serve me. Ughh, I really wanted to like this place bc it's so convenient to my house. This is a long one bc I want to explain all the history that impacted my opinion Of this place. So bear with me. I've been going to Comfy Nail semi-regularly since the tornado destroyed my go-to salon, Lee Nails. I get acrylics with a gel polish. Let me start by saying, I always liked how they turned out and service was always fine. However, I don't know if it's something with the quality of the nails or the technique, but the sets I received from them would break so much faster than anywhere else. Probably enough of a difference to make me want to find another salon, but then Covid happened. Franklin's salons opened back up before nashville so I started driving there to Ombré Nail for the time being. They were fantastic but completely out of my way. The main guy at ombré was talking to me about where I had been going before covid and said that he had actually helped open Comfy Nails. So that spurred me to give them another chance, seeing that it was so much more convenient for me anyways. Today was my second time going back since I decided to give them another shot and it pretty much sealed the deal that I need to find another salon. I came in around 1030 and was told they couldn't get me in until 215. Totally fine. So I came back at 215, told to wash my hands as always and then seated in a chair to wait and choose my color. Another issue to point out is I don't really love their selection of colors. They definitely have quite a few to pick from but if you are picky like me, there's such a fine line between a shade that looks classy and a shade that looks trashy. Anyways, I saw one on the swatch I liked but when I started looking at the actual bottles on the wall, I noticed it had a weird sheen to it that wasn't what I was going for. So then I just started looking at the other bottles and saw one I liked. Picked it up to take a closer look and compare the # to the swatch, but there wasn't a swatch for this. That's when a girl from the back came out and told me that customers aren't allowed to touch the bottles and that she needed it so she could sanitize. Let me be clear. I completely understand this and probably should've thought of that on my own. I am so glad they are taking covid protocols seriously. However, she had a super rude tone to her voice and said it a lot louder than necessary in my opinion. Maybe I'm just sensitive but it just kind of embarrassed me a bit. Then she goes up to the guy at the front who makes the appointments and checks everyone in and chastised him for allowing me to do that. This is the same guy that has always checked me in and he has been nothing but friendly every time I'm in there. I really didn't like how she spoke to him and all things considered, he was speaking to another customer behind a wall while I was looking at the polishes. He never saw me pick up the bottles so it really wasn't his fault. The girl could've taken a different tone with me and definitely could've waited to say something to the front desk guy behind closed doors. She just had an attitude of sorts and considering I was already iffy on this place, it was just the final straw for me. I told the front desk guy to cancel my appointment and left. Maybe they will put up a "no touching" sign on the bottles and maybe this particular employee will be more mindful of her tone in the future. read more

It's weird they don't trim your cuticles and no hand massages at the end. For $45 for a dip manicure, it's a bit much when you could go elsewhere for $40 and get your cuticles done and a hand massage. However it's a beautiful salon, they have and offer drinks, and they do a good job. read more

Best pedicure I have ever had! I wish I would gotten my nail tech's name, but she was incredibly friendly and did an amazing job on my gel nails and feet! Every time I thought we were done, she kept bringing out new things for my feet: hot stones, scrubs, lotions, massages, etc. it was super relaxing and was the perfect pedicure!
