Seems like a sketchy joint... the guys here are super though rough. When I worked in auto tech doing basic work including changing tires... the guy that did my tires did everything I learned... he even put the tire under water to make sure there's no holes. That's customer service. I've had my tires done elsewhere and so far, this is the best. I highly recommend. I'm from out of town 60 miles going back to the bay area... they closed at 6pm. They are relatively fast in terms of tire replacement and care. Very honest people and give honest opinions in terms of conditions of tires and best deal or options. I also had a huge bumper issue. They were nice enough to order me one and repair it. When they needed additional parts, they offered to cover the cost of those extra needed parts. I love their hours and the convenience of it. Women BEWARE!! I arrived with my car on a flat bed tow truck after an incident on I5 blew out both front tires. When we pulled up the tow truck driver got out and asked if they had 2, 20inch tires to put on my car, they guy told him " yes 2 for $125 each" perfect. So they get my car off the truck, once the tow truck is gone and I'm there alone suddenly he doesn't have the 2 tires at all. He has 1 he'll give me a great "deal" on @ $185!!!! WTF? I didn't ask a week ago, I asked an hour ago and now they're gone?? Shady, and insulting. Does he think I am stupid enough not to know he sold me the the floor display. I do not recommend this shop to any woman in need. He also tried to tell me he could "bend my rim back for $85 but no guarantee it would work"....no thanks I'll chance the spare. read more

I live in Oakland and was driving to my sister's house on Saturday evening (4/08/2017) and got a flat tire. I didn't even realize the tire was flat until I exited at my sister's exit. Anyway, needless to say, I was very upset because I hadn't had the tires for long and the tread was great on them... Next morning I loaded my nieces into the car and we went to Costco. Costco quoted me $250 for 2 new tires and the wait time was about two hours. I didn't want to wait that long with two little ones in tow, nor could I afford to pay that much, so I called around. Community Tire was my first call and they confirmed they had two tires in stock for me and would charge me $110. I was shocked, "a hundred and ten each, or for both?!" I asked. The man on the phone confirmed, $110 for BOTH, and only a 20 minute wait. I rushed over there quickly and unloaded the kids from the car. We waited in the shop office and no sooner than the girls finished their juice boxes and crackers, the car was done! The work was super professional, they put my spare tire back into my trunk and loaded everything just like it was before, new tires look great, very satisfied with the service. I'm still very satisfied with the 4 tires I got here. They haven't lost pressure and still roll well, without any problems. I saw that it looked like a balance weight had come off, and they rebalanced the two front tires, no charge. Called Community Tire after tire blowout, provided car model, shop promptly confirmed availability of compatible replacement tire. Proceeded to shop riding on temporary spare tire. We were welcomed and the car was serviced immediately. Instead of trying to sell us a new replacement tire, the service technician recommended a used tire with compatible size and tread life. Tire was installed quickly, we were charged a very reasonable price, and we got on the road in 15 minutes. All that, and the staff were friendly and helpful too. I have been dealing with this tire place for quite sometime. I have given them a ton of business from tires to general car repairs. I have trusted them with my vehicles and even recommended others to them, at least until now. A few months ago, I had my car towed for brakes and two new tires on the back. Per usual, I always get a quote for, even though I know it may be more once the car is physically on site and the inspection is done. So I drop my car off and ask do I need front and back brakes, they told me only front brake PADS, so that was what I paid for and the two rims, so with everything it ame out to about $900 or so. So I get the call my car was completed, both the tires and brakes. No news of any other issues, at least until I get there. So I arrive and the owner says to me that I needed rear brakes, no rotors, just brakes and the fronts were good to go and the tires are on but the air won't stay because the rims are cracked. I was like what do you mean, you couldn't tell that they were cracked before you put the tires on?? ( mind you, I was paying about $700 for two tires) he was like my technician did see it, it was over looked. So now we are standing here looking at each other like deers in headlights because I am thinking so what are you gonna do, what am I supposed to do lol.. I mean either way I had to do something considering I couldn't drive my car without tires anyway. So I was like, how long will the air last, he said about a week but I would have to keep adding air, in which he could do-- just bring it to him. Also, he said I needed to back brakes not the front -- so just a mess all around lol... Needless to say, I was out of $700 for tires I can't even enjoy and the air lasts for 3hrs tops. he didn't even apologize, offer some sort of discount on my next service, on the current tires nothing. Now today, I know I still need back brakes done so I take it to another place this time. They completed my brake inspection and told me I needed back brake pads, and rotors all around and my front brake pads were only at 70% ( mind you, I don't drive the car that much because of the tire anyway). So I was like how bad are the rotors in the front, I jut got those brakes put on not even 6 months ago. He was like the rotors are glued and that could be why your front pads are worn so quickly. So here I am again. So needless to say, with this place I trusted initially, the conned me out of $700 for tires and didn't even inspect my tires or brakes appropriately. I will not be returning unless it is a dire emergency and am not needing brand new tires. read more
