Abysmal service and experience. Joshua (who I believe is an owner or manager) talks a good game about eradicating pests (in our case rats) and the written proposal, which I accepted, stated that they would seal our outdoor shed to deny rat entry. He sent two guys out to do the sealing work, which was totally ineffectual. The rats just dug under the chicken wire that they placed at the gaps in the bottom of the shed. When I called to have them remedy the situation, I was told multiple times that because I had not purchased a warranty, they were not obligated to fix the issue. When I explained that I had never been offered a warranty, the (incredibly rude) admin said that this was because they cannot guarantee that their rat proofing will work! So I paid $600 for them to only attempt to fix the problem. I've made multiple attempts to have Joshua call me back to discuss this issue with no result. Total scam. DO NOT HIRE THEM. read more

Rodent proofing my house had a steep price tags and few warnings. After paying thousands I learned the installed barriers were temporary and the rodents easily chewed threw them. The services barely took 2 hours to install and cost thousands with no follow up or recommendation to revisit with a general oh don't worry there's a money back guarantee everything is addressed. Completely unprofessional in dealing with our apartment complex. The first gentleman came out for an inspection and our rental company was provided with a statement indicating units would be bombed, sprayed, and outlets would be removed and a special dust would be applied. Wednesday, the day of the "fumigation" a different technician came and decided it was not necessary to do all that. He sprayed the baseboards of the units with something. He was in and out of 4 units in 20 minutes... We called our property manager and complained because we had just spent all this time and money having to wash ALLLL of our clothes, lines, drapes etc. So CPC was supposed to come back today and do at least the outlets. We had been told to move all our furniture to the center of the room for their last visit, so naturally I left most of it like that anticipating they were coming back. Our landlord gave us all written notice that CPC was coming today between 11:00 am and 12:00pm. I made arrangements with my job and they called and cancelled. How do you cancel fixing what your company originally screwed up? I find that to be unacceptable customer service. I might add we are supposed to receive several of these fumigation treatments. Hopefully we start seeing a difference soon, because we are still being bit! read more

Avoid this place if you actually want someone to show up when they say they will or expect them to know their own device area. I called them last Tuesday about a raccoon in our/neighbor's backyard, nest, babies, etc. They set up an appointment for the following Tuesday (today) from 10am-11am. They called me yesterday to confirm the appointment - confirmed. At 9:30am today, half an hour before our appointment, they called back and say that they no longer take raccoon calls in San Francisco. How they missed this during the initial call (when I gave them the address) and again during the confirmation call... I have no idea. Sort of just feels like they didn't want to deal with us today so they just lied and cancelled. In any event, I gave them 2 stars because at least they called instead of just flaking. But, I feel like that's generous. Here I am, a week has passed since I booked these guys, and now I'm starting over with trying to solve this issue. They pretty much broke up with me after 8+ years of our contract. I offered to pay more but they felt that it wasn't worth their business. The crew that came to my house to do the rodent proofing (Pablo, Scott and Juan) were absolutely amazing. Very professional and responsive, and took care to protect our house when they entered during Shelter in Place. If you need to get work done, definitely ask for Pablo (I believe he was the supervisor). He's the best! However, be careful with the owner of this company (James) - not so great. He doesn't explain that there are 2 separate charges - one for baiting and one for rodent proofing. The initial inspection is free - he came to my house and found no signs of rodents. Attic was completely clean. I just wanted to do the rodent proofing since James found holes big enough for rats to get in, but he was pushy and said I should do the baiting because if he seals everything off, the rodents could get stuck in my attic and start chewing electrical wires. He didn't explain there are 2 separate charges. Charged me $360 to throw a few bait packs (very cheap - you can buy at most home improvement stores or online) in my attic. Complete rip-off! So it's 5 stars for the rodent proofing crew (Pablo, Scott and Juan) and 1 star for James (the owner). If it wasn't for the rodent proofing crew (Pablo, Scott and Juan), this would be a zero star review. read more

I've been using Complete Pest Control for 1 1/2 years. When the came out and took care of the rats and included a 2-year warranty. I recently spotted some signs that rats had returned. I called and they came out right away, found a nest under the house and found a place where they may have gotten in. The cleared out the nest and treated the area. Then they fixed the possible entry point. Today I got a call from them to schedule a return visit so that they can confirm that the rats are gone. The technician, Juan was wonderful. He didn't rush through anything. He made sure he checked the inside and outside of the house for entry points. I really appreciated that fact that I never felt he had to rush on to his next stop. I'm really disappointed with Complete Pest Control. They came a couple times and said that nothing was wrong but I could hear the scratching of what turned out to be a huge rat. Do not use this company. I paid for them to inspect (external) and place three bait traps ($215), but they only placed two. When I sent emails (three times) for them to add the other trap, they never responded. Then they tried to schedule a time for someone to come out to refill the traps ($52 monthly) I told them I no longer wanted their service, and I would refill the traps myself (cheap and easy to do). They then wanted to come and retrieve the traps (which I had paid for). I told them that I had paid for them and was going to keep them. They argued through a couple phone calls, but I have kept the traps which retail for about $21 each. read more

Had them come out for an assessment, and two weeks later I still hadn't heard from them. When I realized I hadn't heard, I called them. I had asked about reducing the rat population in my yard, which has gotten out of control. They recommended "bait boxes" with poison. The rat eats the poison and then heads for a water source (where they presumably die). Since I live in a neighborhood with pets around and a creek nearby, the risk of poisoning a pet when it eats a dying rat or polluting the creek with poisoned rat bodies is unappealing. They had no other option, and when I asked about traps, or anything but poison, they said that's all they could offer, but were not able to explain why. read more

I believe a service provider (Josh at Complete Pest Control) who goes above and beyond for the customer is deserving of a fair & accurate public review. I called this company due to rat droppings within my outdoor BBQ. I previously had another company out who charged me $255 for their services. (Their service constituted placing a few traps within flimsy cardboard boxes. Period) I was pissed that they never advised me they did not clean up the rodent mess which was the main problem and perpetuated the infestation . Once Josh came out, he was personable, knowledgeable, and gave me several options regarding eradication. The price is certainly fair and realistically they provide a service, as opposed to the scammed feeling I received with the other local pest control company. If you are serious about getting rid of rats & rodents, then this is the company to call! I have tried at least 5 different pest control companies over the past 4 years, and Complete Pest Control is the first one who seems to really understand how to get rid of these unwanted beasts for good. Josh came out and explained in detail how he would not not only going to get rid of my rats and raccoons, but also promised me that they would never come back. I think his company is the only one which will guarantee that after they are done, then the beasts will be gone or Josh & his team will be back to take care of it...for free. Josh did an amazing job looking over my entire house for entrance holes and placing the bait. And unlike some of these other companies which place a little Skippy peanut butter on a trap and call it a day, or tell me I need to euthanize my rats and then pay $80 a rat to remove each one and bury it in sacred rodent burial grounds, Josh placed REAL bait. He went under the house, in the attic, on the roof, behind my house...and believe me, my house is not easy to access in most places! He placed bait and said he would be back in a couple weeks for Round 2 of Rodent Removal. A couple weeks later, he and his colleague, Adam Stollman, came back as promised for Round 2. They went through my entire house checking again for rodents and then proceeded to eradicate the beasts (we watched 4 raccoons run from under my foundation!) & then they sealed up all remaining holes in my house. They did not leave until the job was done. I am super impressed. Both Josh and Adam were incredibly polite, efficient, nice, and friendly (and super cute, too :). They arrived on time, followed up as promised, and I now have a guarantee that the beasts are gone for good. And as Josh said, if they aren't, then I'm free to call back anytime. This is totally the place to call! If you want incomplete or partial pest control, then try one of these other companies that just want to bleed you dry of your money. I had used Complete Pest Control in the past and received good service so wanted to use them again. Second time around was horrible. They apparently did not put me in the schedule when I made the appointment and then they took my address down incorrectly so the guy was late. Then they charged me $300 to drop some rat poison under the house. They no-showed the follow up appointment and then when rescheduled, they were late again. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews prior to having them come out. I would not recommend Complete Pest Control. I waited a while to write this review because I wanted to see how things turned out over the long run. Earlier this year - about six months ago - we called CPC to come out and inspect our house because we knew we had rats in the attic and the walls but we couldn't find their entrance points no matter how hard we looked. We had seen plenty of evidence of their presence and had trapped rats ourselves in the attic before, and we would often hear scratchy noises in the walls. The previous year, we had suffered a rat mite infestation in the house resulting in us getting multitudes of painful, swollen bites and having to go through doing tons of laundry and spraying with insecticide numerous times. It was a nightmare that we didn't want to got through again. Josh came out and immediately spotted 3 entrances that we hadn't seen - they were quite hidden but he spotted the trails leading to them. We had them do their work which they did promptly and quickly, and, lo and behold, we have been rat-free ever since. Not only that, but, I presume because they deodorized the attic and the crawl space, which Josh said would make the house "invisible" to passing rats because it removes the smell of existing nests, we even have fewer rats outside as well. We hardly ever see or hear them anymore. On top of all that, what they charged for the work was totally reasonable in our opinion - about half what we expected to pay and, a deal, considering the result! read more
