My husband, oldest son, his girlfriend, and I dined here on Friday night (11/29). We were going to a Texas Legends game and had dinner prior to the game. The front door service (lack thereof) was a little shaky, but they redeemed themselves in the food quality and wait service! The place was pretty packed, but we were able to order and receive our food very timely. 2 of us ordered the Chicken & Shrimp Combo, my son ordered the Salmon, and my husband ordered a cheeseburger. Per my husband, the cheeseburger was underwhelming, due to the small size. Everything else was SCRUMPTIOUS! We would like to go back and check out their brownie and/or cookie dessert, when we are not pressed for time and don't have tons of desserts at home to get through!

I've always noticed this place while hanging out at The Star but never knew exactly how to get to it. It turns out you just take the escalator up to the 2nd floor and there it is. Kind of hidden, but worth finding. They've got a solid beer selection with plenty of options, and I really liked the outdoor seating. It's a great spot to just chill, people-watch, and enjoy the atmosphere around The Star. Inside has a good vibe too, not overly loud, and the service was on point. Overall, a cool little hangout if you want a break from the busier spots downstairs.

Fun vibe for a watch party, but service needs work! I came with a few friends for Concrete Cowboy's Love Island watch party. The energy was great, and the big screens made it a perfect spot to catch the drama unfold. That said, the service left a lot to be desired. It took ages to seat us despite having a reservation, and once we were finally at our table, it took even longer to get it cleaned and it was still sticky. We started with the Mac & Cheese Squares--super tasty! Loved the hatch green chiles and the sriracha ranch for a little kick. At $9 on the happy hour menu, they're a steal. For drinks, I ordered the Concrete Cosmo, which was delish--definitely get it if you're a passionfruit fan. I had the Impossible Burger for my main, which was just okay. Nothing special! TL;DR: Great atmosphere and happy hour bites, but slow, disorganized service. Worth it for the fun vibes and screens if you're going for an event!

Highly recommend splitting the sampler platter and coming in Sunday afternoon while less crowded. Everything is great, including service.

Ask the Community - Concrete Cowboy

Hi just wondering if your gonna be open for the early nfl game sunday at 8:30 ?Bears -Jacksonville

    Not sure

    Is the patio dog friendly?

How much is it to book a table with bottle service here?

In the 4-5 times I have been here it is more of a fun restaurant/bar and not a bottle service club. But I confess to not staying that late- so things might change. We always had prompt service of an array of drinks for a reasonable price.

I've had crawfish here for about 5 times since late February and they are legit. Very juicy, boiled and seasoned to perfection. It made me feel like I was SW Louisiana visiting my kinfolk lol. The line there was out the door and around the corner. So, the long short of it is we never made it there! That said, we started with a few drinks here & played a fun table toss game. The staff were so friendly! Our server was attentive and accommodating throughout our entire time there. We even met the GM who was also super to talk too and little did we know how much we had in common with him. Since that line at the other eatery never really went down; we decided to stay and have dinner here. I had received a small sample earlier of their seafood étouffée, so that was an absolute must & went with a cup! My husband and I spilt their calamari which were large pieces cooked to perfection. Got a side of their cajun butter dip (additional fee) that took these over the top. My husband got two jalapeno poppers, he inhaled and their fried pickles that were a good size portion & super tasty. The dining experience was exceptional from start to finish. Friendly, welcoming environment- relaxed no pressure or rushed restaurant. It was unfortunate we missed out on the other spot, but fortunate enough that we discovered this spot & would definitely come back again. Get that étouffée, but in a bowl it's a MUST! LOL *NOTE- many patrons frequent this place & do come in to just purchase adult beverages too, to take over to the other establishment as they do not serve alcohol. This is absolutely acceptable and approved by BOTH businesses so they do welcome & work very well together regardless which one you end up at.

Unfortunately, the restaurant itself was completely unprepared for the rush. Every table was full, yet there was only one server trying to take care of everyone. She worked incredibly hard and did the best she could, so this is absolutely not a criticism of her. The responsibility falls on management for not staffing appropriately for one of the biggest sporting events in the world, especially on a holiday. The kitchen also seemed unprepared. They had already run out of fries by 2:00 p.m., and when our order of wings arrived, we only received 7 wings even though the menu clearly advertises 8. Between running out of menu items and not serving what was ordered, the food experience was disappointing. The atmosphere is definitely worth coming back for, but management needs to do a much better job of staffing the restaurant, keeping the kitchen stocked, and ensuring orders are complete during major events. Left at halftime unsatisfied and out $80.
