Then I took one bite and realized the food is served COLD. The crunchy shell is luke warm, but it's wrapped in a flour soft shell that could have been right out of the fridge! The protein was luke warm also, but the toppings were cold and raw! Who eats raw canned corn out of the fridge? It's insane. Taco bell may be boring, but the food is cooked. I don't get it. The portions are just the right size and the customization is great - everything is ordered by a "scantron-like sheet" & you have the option of ordering pre-menued tacos if that's overwhelming to you. There are SO MANY VEGETARIAN OPTIONS & great variety in meats too (ceviche, yes please!). We loved the custom sampler of guacamole/ queso/ salsas - a must try. Service: Went to lunch on a weekday with 4 friends and it wasn't busy at all. There were maybe 10 customers inside and 10 outside. We got a table right away and got drinks fairly quickly (worth 1 star). The waitress took our order about 25 minutes later. We received our food approx 25 minutes after that. We never saw her again until she brought us our check, which was about 25 minutes after we got our food. Food: The chips that came out before meal were cold, not room temperature, cold. So, why are they refrigerating the chips? The tacos were average (except the flour tortilla was cold). Again, not sure why chips and tortillas are cold, but it's not appetizing. Great spot in mass Ave to grab a quick bite to eat! First things first, it's one of my favorite places for chips and queso! Love their dirty queso with pickled jalapeño, it's simple but delish! And their chips are to die for - like I could eat a whole bag myself good... definitely get a prickly pear margarita to go with your chips and queso - it's a unique flavor that's sour but also sweet. I love the flavors here because they don't make it taste like you're drinking pure sugar but still add enough flavor. The jalapeño is amazing as well! All of my friends love the tacos here but that's the one thing I just can't quite get behind (thus the 4 stars). The taste is there but every one I've had is a bit soggy... for a change, last time I got a kale bowl which was good and will be my new go to. I love that it's customizable. Service is fine, usually a bit slow if they're busy, which is to be expected. Everyone is very nice, just don't expect the staff to have time to cater to your every need because it's a popular place and usually busy! When I first walked into Condado, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of decor and colorful artwork to look at. Each table was shared by multiple parties that I had never experienced before. The room itself was slightly dark with polychromatic light bulbs, but there were many windows that allowed for natural light as well. This made it feel as though everyone was casual and we were all there to do one thing; eat. We started our order with an appetizer that allowed three selections from Guacamole, Queso, and Salsa. Pictured is the traditional Guac, Chorizo Queso, and Corn Salsa. The appetizer was delicious and a full order fed 4 people just enough before our entrees arrived. Our waitress was very kind and helped my brother with deciding what sauce to put on his tacos and cracking jokes left and right. This establishment has premade tacos with the chef's choice ingredients, or you can build your own! I chose to make my tacos as so: (1) Sweet lucy shell (hard shell and soft shell fused together with queso), Tex Mex Ground Beef, Tomatoes, Queso Fresco, and Mexican Chimichurri (garlic sauce). (2) Flour shell, Tex Mex Ground Beef, Tomatoes, Queso Fresco, and Cilantro-Lime Aoili. When our food arrived it was in tinfoil atop plastic baskets but they looked mouthwatering and well worth the impending mess I could foresee. My first taco was phenomenal and I couldn't put it down. The cheesy queso and savory sauce mixed well together. My second taco was just average but ended up being very flavorless compared to the first. Next time I'll be sure to order the first taco multiple times. An important thing to note is this restaurant is geared towards a younger audience. The loud atmosphere and little room for your own party would definitely make some people I know uncomfortable. The women's restroom is not for the faint of heart because it's filled with the publics' graffiti. Personally I found it amusing, but I know my grandmother would have spoken to the manager about it. This hipster, casual dining was definitely an experience I think all should try and the food is amazing. We went on opening day around 4pm for the half off margs and free taco! We were sat at community seating near the open window. There is plenty of seating for parties of various sizes, including the option to sit at the bar. We were quickly served waters and ordered drinks. They have a plethora of margarita flavors and tequilas. You can then order build your own tacos with a variety of meats or choose from Condado favorites. Went here shortly after their opening - was surprised to be seated right away so that was a plus. Service was a little disjointed which at first I figured was because they're ALWAYS on the busy side but they forgot an entire taco from our order and we waited about 20 minutes for our check at the end of the meal. We also did not get refills on our water more than once which was rough with some of the spicy tacos we got! I will say the server recommended really good margarita choices for us and we ended up enjoying those immensely - May even have ordered more if he'd been around more! Definitely recommend the blood orange marg. Now in terms of the tacos it's definitely a nontraditional taco style which was 50/50 for us. I personally went for the premade taco options and got the surf n turf which I found to be a brilliant combination of flavors - whereas my partner's build your own taco had completely tasteless meat even though we had the same steak ingredient - not sure if it was badly made or if the premade ones are just given more attention? Both the el tradicional tacos my partner and I ordered were passably good - nothing to write home about. I would be curious to come back maybe once they are more established here and try more premade options. I haven't been to the Broad Ripple location, so this was my first experience with this establishment. The server was so awesome and explained everything to us. He was very patient and detailed. I got the margarita sampler which was great, minus the spicy jalapeño one. I should have known better. We also ordered guac and queso which were both very generous portions. Love that there's a new location on mass ave! I'm originally from Columbus, so it was nice having condados move with me (first to Broad Ripple, and now to Mass). Ambience/layout: Great layout indoors, perfect for summer! Open seating towards the side of the building. Parking: Parking is always difficult on mass, but I came on opening day and was able to get a parking spot, no problem. Food/Drinks: Tacos were great! I recommend trying out the specials of the month. Typically 2 tacos are enough for me, and I go for the happy hour from 4-6PM to get that dollar off. Haven't had a chance to try their margs, but my friend had one and loved it! Wait time was longer than expected, but probably because they were dealing with the volume from opening day. read more

This was my first time at Condado Tacos and it won't be my last! I selected to get queso to start. The half order was huge and plenty big. I ended up selecting 3 tacos off their suggestions and all were delicious with great flavor! At this time you have to make a reservation online if you want seating. I love Mexican eats & drinks, with Bakersfield & Nada being a couple of my faves, so I had to test out this new Mass Ave. Indy spot. When we walked in, my teenager noticed it was very loud. (If a teenager thinks it's loud, it's extra loud). I believe this was due to the high ceiling but I wouldn't expect to hear a game if you're trying to catch one on one of the TVs. The decor is cartoon graffiti, so it's not a setting for an impressive date. The paint actually made me anticipate sub-par food because it's comparable to how a childish teenager would deck out a dorm room. We saw our waitress exactly twice: when she took our order and took our payment, despite the fact that she knew we were first timers. The house margarita was weak (typical) so I was done at one and wished I had spent the extra money on top shelf. If you can get past all of that, our food was delicious! Ordering is in your own hands- literally on a list with a pencil at your table. You can build your own tacos or get one of their concoctions. I always like to see what the restaurant offers and I'm glad I did- the Ooey Gooey taco was amazing. My daughter built her own bowl since they didn't have burritos. The queso with black beans was also tasty. I would have liked an option of a house regular salsa. (They only offer corn and pineapple). My wife and I have been to Condado multiple times and have always enjoyed our experience! The guac is unique and some of the best we've had. Every specialty taco we've tried we've loved, particularly the Ooey-Gooey and the Bubba Kush. You also can't go wrong building your own! Perhaps best of all, the food is very affordable, with specialty tacos ranging from $3-$6 ($1 off tacos during happy hour Monday-Friday!) The staff is very friendly and helpful walking you through their unique ordering system. We've been helped quickly and efficiently every time! The atmosphere might be the best thing Condado has going for it. The walls are painted in a way that your eye will catch something new every time you go. And with the restaurant open to the Mass Ave sidewalk in the summer to go along with the communal style seating, you'll be glad to be a part of the Condado experience. One word of caution: I would say about 70-80% of the seating is bar-style, so if that is a problem for any reason, maybe try to get there early to snag a more traditional style table! read more
