From the moment we started reading their menu on the window of their space undergoing renovation until the last moment when we left was total perfection. Thomas Keller's restaurants brought us to the area but Bryan and the staff at Contimo stole our hearts. One of their delightful, caring staff came outside to ask if we had an questions about the menu and made some great suggestions. I had some concern over the wording that modifications to their menu would be politely refused as there has never been a time when I enjoyed dijonaise on a breakfast (or any other sandwich, for that matter). This gentleman explained I should give their version a try and should it not be to my liking, no worries, they'd make one just the way I want. With confidence like that, it was game on. So, color me convinced. I now need to rethink some of my culinary skips the past few years. So, we roll inside and encounter, Bryan the owner, behind the counter. He is the kind of owner who develops a cult-like devotion. He is funny, affable, charming, endearing and interested and interesting all in one talented bundle. The kind of owner you want to sit and have a beer or two with and hear his story. All this before the food has arrived, which seemed very fast considering it was made fresh when we ordered. I has the hot ham and cheese with the dijonaise and I should have ordered one to go. Hubs had the sausage breakfast biscuit and 100 miles later he is also regretting not having ordered a second. My niece, who had never had pimento cheese prior and normally isn't a huge fan of ham polished off her ham and cheese biscuit without hesitation. So, run don't walk, to Contimo Provisions. Even though there are a gazillion dining options in the Napa area, this is an easy one for breakfast, lunch or drinks. Their Nola iced coffee was delish, all three of us enjoyed them. We were so lucky to stumble upon this amazing place. Cool space. Clean and nice. Staff was amazing and engaging. The food was off the charts. 2 of the best sandwiches ever. Don't come downtown and not go to this place. You'd be doing yourself a great disservice. Ryan and his team and brining beautifully and lovingly constructed food to our community. The biscuits are next level, their meats are fresh and also available to purchase Ala carte to make at home later. They have a little of everything but it's all been very carefully selected. They are fighting a battle for their expansion and it's a shame because they should have as much space as they want. Fingers crossed they will only be getting larger as the days go by. Go. Real real real bad. This place really has some nerve being associated with a culinary institute. I am honestly shocked! Stopped here for lunch today and ordered the Roast beef sandwich. The sandwich was so bad that me and the person that I was with decided to take it back to see if we would be able to get a different option. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating, they allowed us to choose another sandwich. The second one that we tried was the chicken salad and it was even worse! Every time I go to Contimo, I'm so happy! Their sandwiches are absolutely delicious and jam packed with flavor. Today, I started my morning with their pimento biscuit and it blew my mind. The last time I came in, I couldn't help but notice Ryan tossed my biscuit on the counter when it was ready. Normally he slides it to you on the counter, which is what he did for the customer right before me, but when mine was ready he just tossed it. The biscuit was dry and stale and I got mostly fat instead of ham. read more

We walked by Contimo to eat somewhere else but thought, perhaps we need to stop by on our way back to the car and omg so happy we did. The owner greeted us at the counter and we had great conversation with him as we waited for our sandwiches. He isn't lying when he says everything tastes good. I'm bummed we didn't buy more sandwiches!! Sorry, no photos because we inhaled the Ham & Jam Biscuit and the Mortadella Sandwich. This is a must stop shop for bespoke sandwiches and heaps good veggie sides. They do a great breakfast biscuits and on Fridays I get the bagels and lox special. They serve intelligentsia coffee which is always solid. If you're in Napa and looking for breakfast or lunch sandwiches this is the spot! Two inspiring chefs who use the absolute best ingredients they can source-and-produce to make almost simple dishes; simple in the way that the flavorful ingredients just shine through. Never overdone nor underdressed nor over-salted, no dehydrated yuzu powder or star anise foams. Just farm fresh, and handcrafted. Even the *simple* "garden lettuces" was perfect. It's rare to go to a restaurant and get a salad that is dressed and seasoned with such precise measure. Obvious quality sherry and olive oil, pickled shallot, crumbled goat cheese, and a trio of lettuces; something so simple with just a mouth-watering explosively fresh flavor. It takes more talent to sew together balanced natural flavors, allowing the simplicity of the ingredients to shine through. These guys and gals are pro's. Been coming to Contimo for years - first at COPIA now at the downtown location. GREAT breakfast biscuits and not too heavy. The Ham & Jam or Bacon & Molasses are my personal favorites. Tasty sandwiches too. We've been surviving the pandemic on Contimo's "Food for Later" and the roast beef, ham, pastrami and mortadella are amazing with homemade sourdough bread. The sliced meats at Contimo are some of the best flavors in the valley ... at any price. The sausages make a nice dinner - personal favorites are the chili sausage and the fennel sausage. Pickup a bottle of mustard, you'll be glad you did. The Sequatchie Cove Coppinger cheese is really special too. Heading out for a day trip in wine country?
