You're paying dealer prices for parts and labor (ie top dollar), and the customer facing service reps will only give you the "corporate" talking points about issues with your vehicle. But once you get past those drawbacks, this place is really good. They work pretty quickly, know their stuff, wash your car when they're done, have a comfortable lounge to wait in with desktop computers, WiFi, and a tv. Plus they have cookies, animal crackers, gold fish, coffee and water all free. So at least you're comfortable and pretty well fed for the premium pricing. read more

Brought in Acura and Mazda vehicles for alignments just days apart at Continental Acura and Continental Mazda respectively. The dealerships are about 500 feet apart on Aurora Ave. and are owned by the same group. Gee, somehow identical alignment jobs at Acura are higher priced! What a surprise? Oddly, the people at the Mazda shop were nicer, more timely in status updates, and did a better job. I say did a better job because the Acura dealership only did a 2 wheel alignment after noting that the rear suspension on the TSX could not be aligned to spec due to a KNOWN issue that was part of a service bulletin years earlier.. Of course, now we're out of warranty and replacement will be $500+ job! Why wasn't this caught on prior visits when we were still under warranty? Why was I still charged for a 4-wheel alignment? The real crap is that the rear wheel in question is only a tiny bit out of spec (negative camber). This is actually a setup used by many manufacturers as standard and does not prevent an alignment. They tried to tell me it was going to be unsafe (oh please) and I should pay them their 100% markup on parts and crazy hourly rates on labor. Yeah sure... bye bye. I also had to call to get status more than once and had to wait 20 minutes just to pay and get the @#%^ out of there. I used up my stupid service credits from past visits to get the price reduced (since they wouldn't) and will never be back. read more

I just wanted to finally give Continental Acura a great review for all the help I received last week. A family health issue happened in my family. Unfortunately while at the hospital I heard a loud groan from my 06 TL. I called in on Monday morn to set up a appointment. Shirley as always was helpful. I left a voice mail for Maria who schedules appointments. She promptly returned my call and understood my situation and set up a appointment with a loaner since I still needed to go back and forth to the hospital where my father in law was in ICU. John in service helped get the car in. I was then called very soon by Chris Papo. Who verified my car has a TSB and there would be no charge. Thanks to all involved in helping with my car. Used them for pre-purchase inspection of an Acura vehicle. They failed to identify broken sensors on the vehicle that I immediately noticed after (regrettably) purchasing the vehicle. Didn't even take an hour of owning the vehicle. When I called them to discuss if they noticed this issue during the inspection or not, they would not confirm or deny if they specifically inspected the sensors, but claimed that it "must have broken after the inspection". Yea, ok! They then graciously offered to fix the problem... for $1,200! These guys are a joke. Take your money elsewhere. read more

Have had an issue since shortly after purchasing a preowned Acura. Have been having detonation and have been back several times over last few years. Responses - "We didn't hear anything." Had called couple months ago regarding another recurring issue and was told by service tech (verbatim) "I don't know what to tell you. You need to piss or get off the pot." This recurring issue after they rebuilt the top half of the engine. Now, the same issue yet again. Now they want over $2K for work that probably should have been done, substantially less work/cost, the first time that would have avoided recurrence. Back to the detonation. Now tech is saying issues regarding engine work "could be the cause" so take care of the 2K with worth of work and "maybe" it'll resolve the detonation issue. Really? Detonation has been going on since well before the other issues arose! Not a happy customer right about now especially since I've called the group's Service Dept Manager three times now without a response. Not very enthusiastic about a dealership that supposedly prides itself on customer service. read more

The alignment is not good as i thought i don't drive this car a lot as i have a work car but after i drove the car on the highway the car pulls to the right and steering wheel still a bit of center i don'r know if i should take it back to them or try a different Acura dealer it is very frustrating and can't get used to it ...thought they did a good job in the begining but they did not. read more

I was immediately greated by name and concern as soon as I pulled in the service drive and got to the service desk. Everything was covered under warranty and Chris was even able to get me a loaner car last minute without an appointment for one while they had to order the seat belt buckle. The car was completed before my requested pick up time and I was kept up to date with the diagnosis and repairs. My car was also washed and vacuumed at pick up, which is a huge plus! I brought my 2005 TL in for service and had a pretty good idea as to what the problem was (a bad sensor). Since this was my first time to Continental Acura, I wasn't sure what to expect. Was I going to be told I needed something that was either the result of a misdiagnosis or flat out upselling? Not only were they spot on with their diagnosis, but their customer service was out of this world. Each person I dealt with at Continental Acura was very courteous and professional. I certainly got the feeling that they go out of their way to make you happy. From the complimentary Starbucks coffee to the car wash and vacuum. The service team is the best, especially Chris P! If there was any doubt about where to go for service on my MDX, that has since faded. Mistakenly, we had a radiator repaired at a different facility, and I just had a hunch this wasn't the right move. We had previously brought it into Continental for the same repair, but for some reason, I felt I could get it completed at a less expensive price. As the old saying goes...'you really get what you pay for'! So after my car was done, the air conditioning wasn't working - just blowing out hot air. I told my wife to just bring it to Chris at Continental, as I knew they would make everything right again. After diagnosis, we found the air conditioning line to have been torn (by the previous shop), and the fan shroud wasn't assembled correctly, which caused the fan to destroy it. Chris not only put my wife in a loaner car, fixed the issues, but promptly handled payment from the other shop (for their mistakes). Like I mentioned before, there is no doubt in my mind where this car will be each time it needs service. I apologize for taking the car somewhere else - I knew it should have been done here! PLEASE CHECK YOUR CAR OIL IF RECENTLY SERVICED. FROM MY EXPERIENCE, DEALERSHIP DOESN'T CHANGE OIL AS THEY CLAIM!!! I am faithful Honda buyer. Currently own a 97 Prelude, 08 Accord V6, 08 Pilot and an 07 Acura MDX. Of all these cars, the MDX has been the worst in quality. First, there was the left suspension rattles at 12k miles. This Dealership took countless trip to diagnose the problem; they replaced the whole front left suspension, rear left suspension, re-did the brakes and after 6 visits it was determined that the Battery Holder was cracked. Now, the car has 33k miles and the Oil Sensor Switch has malfunctioned. The Nav system reports "Oil Pressure Low." I checked the oil and it was extremely black and dirty; and the oil had only been replaced 3k miles ago. I pulled the oil and I promise you a car that has had its oil change done 3k miles ago should not appear this way. I have done enough oil changes on old honda to know; I contacted the dealership and their response was "we use a darker tint oil 'Castrol' and that appears darker." After hearing this, I went ahead and scheduled an appointment and got the diagnosis of faulty oil pressure switch. My car is past the warranty so I am out of pocket $230; even though if you do a bit of research online, Acura has had this issue with 07-11 MDX, but did not issue a recall on the system. I went further to determine if poor oil quality (due to lack of oil change at the dealership) could have caused this sensor to malfunction and have come across varying opinion. However, when I suggested this to the service managed I got the line "In my 24-28 year experience (depending on who you talk to at the dealership), this has never happened." All this begs me to question the integrity of the service department and the quality of Acura product. In addition, the service staff claims of 28 year service doesn't add up mathematically, since Acura was launched on March of 1986 (do the math...that adds up to 26 years). I have read all the reviews online and this must be a good dealership; however my experience has been very poor and I will not be returning again. Being part of a research institution, I am gonna take the steps necessary to get the oil I pulled verified and will share results once available. Lastly, for anyone considering an Acura product; I employ you to take a look at their cheaper sister, Honda, better service and won't charge 230 dollars for a 30 dollar part). And if luxury is what you really want, then go check out a Lexus. (This is not a bias, rather a fact from US news and world report, motortrend and edmunds). read more

Stopped by Continental Acura today in a panic. I noticed scratch marks on my car and was really upset. Barbara greeted me immediately and sought to assist. She brought Dan over to assess the damage. Much to my excitment Dan concluded the scratches were not deep and could be removed with a topical treatment. Within 15 minutes the car looked as good as new. Couldn't be happier with my experiences at Continental Acura. I'm on my third car. I'm treated fairly during the purchase process and the service goes easily and smoothly.
