We thought it was a walk up bakery but it was a "pick-up" location inside a liquor store in El Segundo. We ordered $18 for a custom selected dozen (you get 4 flavors) and waited 20 minutes for them to deliver warm fresh buttery cookies. OMG sooo good! *** Update *** Cookie Zombie has been very responsive and very apologetic and are doing their best to remedy the situation. They say that there was a tech issue on their side that prevented them from receiving my friend's text. It's still a bit odd that they never followed up, and they definitely need to work out their tech issues, but they are going above and beyond in their attempt to fix it (delivering it to her home, which is outside of their normal delivery range, and doubling the order). They were very responsive and had great communication with me once they learned of the whole situation, and made sure to get my friend's cookies to her according to her schedule. I appreciate that it was an honest mistake and that they did everything that they could to remedy it. That, and she said the cookies were great! *** Original Review *** (2 stars) I was super excited to surprise my friend by sending cookies to her office on her birthday as a surprise.. but had to ruin the surprise since Cookie Zombie called and texted not just me but also her before delivering... and then never delivered! Cookie Zombie has delicious cookies, and I love that their whole business concept revolves around late-night delivery or pick-up...it's rare to find freshly baked cookies in LA past 8 or 9 pm! You can call in or order online. Minimum order is a dozen, but you can choose up to 4 different flavors! I've only ever opted for the pick-up option at the liquor store in El Segundo (as they only deliver to a select number of zip codes), which is great if you want to pick up other goodies (milk, etc.). The cookie options seem to rotate with a number of staples that are always on the menu, and seasonal offerings as well - my favorite flavors have been their classic chocolate chip, and any of their oatmeal cookies. I'm not sure if I can count this as a fair review since I personally haven't ordered from them personally. I was luckily and able to try their delicious treats when it was brought to work as a thank you. They have a home baked look meaning they don't look perfectly round or all the same size. They are soft baked cookies. Their chocolate chip cookies and Reese's pieces ones were really good. I like their delivery concept and from what I remember they are open late so if get those late night munchies for some sweets this is perfect. read more

Order over the phone, pick up at the liquor store. If you order a dozen and pay cash its $13 if you pay with a credit card it's $16. Carry around some cash for your own good and so you seem like a baller. I ordered three different types of cookies... cookies and cream, white chocolate macadamia nut, Fruity Pebbles. Best ones by far were the cookies and cream next time all 12 cookies are going to be cookies and cream. Order now they take about 15 to 20 minutes or have them delivered if you live in the South Bay. The lady over the phone was super nice and informative, she must be the owner. Enjoy the cookies and try to share... I ate almost all of them...10 to be exact within 24 hours... What an adorable concept! Cookie Zombie provides late-night delivery for freshly baked cookies. The ever-changing menu includes classic, original, and seasonal recipes. Of the non-traditional flavors, I've loved Strawberries & Cream, Birthday Cake, and Red Velvet the most. I'm dying to try the Oatmeal Sunrise, an oatmeal cookie with dried cranberries and apricot pieces. As someone who bakes frequently myself, I'm critical of the quality of baked goods and have loved every type of cookie that I've tried from here. It's super simple to order online or over the phone. You may choose up to 4 flavors per dozen cookies ordered - they arrive in a cardboard pizza box. WARNING.... BEWARE!!!! I ordered cookies from Cookie Zombie. What a HORRIBLE nightmare. 1) (part my fault) I ordered for a Saturday delivery between 4pm and 5:30. The cookies were for a party my 7 yr old was having. Cookie Zombies website allowed for the time of delivery I chose so I really didn't think anything of it. When it became 5:45pm and nothing was delivered, I emailed them and called. Finally at 7:30 I got a call back saying they did not start deliveries until 8 and I should have read their website but my order would be the first out. Okay.... I can take that as my mistake as well as their sites issue. BUT......... 2) When the cookies were finally delivered at 8:30pm The kids ran up took the box and started eating. (total kid behavior-hey it's cookies!!) Well on the inside of the box it read " Abra, sold out hope you like strawberries and cream" Why wouldn't you call me and ask me for a different flavor? Why wouldn't the delivery person say something? Why wouldn't you write it on the top of the box? UMMMM.... stop kids don't eat the cookies! I ordered cookies based on the kids that were at my house and their allergies. One kid was allergic to strawberries- that's why I didn't order them!! I called and emailed them the next day about this issue and asked to please make the order right or refund my money. Their response you should have called us that night and since you ate them too bad. ( actually we didn't eat them, we finally threw the strawberry ones away this morning. ) WHAT?? How about giving me what I ordered and paid for, that's all I am asking for. This company has horrible customer service!!! I feel horrible writing this but I'm hoping Natasha will see this and it'll help them out. I just picked up some cookies from Cookie Zombie and I immediately broke one of the cookies in half and it was completely raw. I recently had a kidney transplant so I'm not allowed to have anything that isn't completely cooked. I'm super bummed because I broke all the cookies in half and only one was cooked enough for my friend to eat but not me. Currently cooking them in the oven because these cookies are amazing and I can't give you guys one star because they're so good. No other choice for food gift delivery in L.A. compares to Cookie Zombie! This place is the absolute bomb!!! I live in Florida and wanted to surprise my fiánce with some sort of edible gift while he was at a conference in L.A. I searched the Internet far and wide for gift baskets and sweet treats but found them all to be either too expensive, too cheesy, or too slow in terms of delivery time. I e-mailed them in advance to ask if I could order 3 dozen cookies and pick them up on the Friday before Labor Day. They responded quickly and gave me a couple of options. We agreed on the Friday at 1:00 pm. They arrived at the pick-up location a few minutes early with piping hot cookies right out of the oven. You can't get any fresher than that. We tried 8 different cookies and the family loved them all with the Cookie and Cream cookies and the Le Royal as their two favorite cookies. I thought the cranrasin oatmeal and the chocolate chip oatmeal cookies tasted great (I'm partial to Oatmeal cookies). Overall, you can't go wrong with any of the cookies, great cookies that are very fresh. read more

I had Cookie Zombie about 7 months ago & felt meh. Tonight we figured, hey why not try again. Man oh man I'm so glad we did! We had the birthday cookie, omfg, darth reeses & chocolate trio. Every. I wasn't aware or I guess I didn't pay attention that this was a delivery only place. My husband and I showed up in El Segundo at 12 o'clock at night in front of a closed liquor store. We were totally confused. So once we called they told us we had to place an order and they would deliver it to us. So we stood out on Main Street and Holly for about 20 minutes with no business open near us and waited for our cookies. Then suddenly a delivery driver Appeared and handed us our a box of cookies. Then we hopped in an Uber and went back to our hotel. The cookies were great they were nice and warm. They were very thick and full which I like. I'm only giving them four stars because of the weird location that we were directed to. read more

I love the concept of Cookie Zombie! There are stores all around LA with artisanal ice cream or donuts, but not many out there with freshly baked artisanal cookies! Cookie Zombie is delivery only (or pick up at the liquor store). No hassle to drive out on those lazy nights when you have the munchies. I've ordered from them several times and my favorites are definitely the Cookies & Cream, Apple Oatmeal Caramel, and Funfetti. I also enjoy anything with butterscotch or toffee, but that's because I have a huge sweet tooth. You can't get these flavored cookies elsewhere which makes this business so special! What's also great is that these are made to order so that they are FRESH and WARM when they're delivered to your door. I don't eat all the cookies in one sitting though, so the next day, I just heat them up and they taste just as good! YUM :) read more

Cookie Zombie is a true gem! Their chocolate chips cookies are the best damn chocolate chip cookies I've ever had in my life. And I've eaten A LOT of chocolate chip cookies. I'm fortunate that our office is in El Segundo because we order from them quite often. Nothing brightens people's day more than the smell of freshly baked cookies. Their prices are more than fair and they're usually right on time. I wish you guys delivered in Hawthorne but I am more than happy to do pick ups. read more

Then the owner was at the Japanese garden for December Nights so I could see how nice the candy looks in person, she was offering a discount... and I placed an order. In recent years it feels like everyone I know has been placed on one special medical diet or another. It's so hard these days to find pre-prepared food that multiple people can enjoy, and when I do it usually isn't particularly impressive. These candies are dairy free, gluten free, sodium free, low in sugar, and beautifully packaged in a way that feels like you're really getting something special. The taste of these is mildly sweet and mildly flavored. The texture is the best part, with soft centers, firm exteriors, and fun crunchy "rock" bits: great contrasts. I'm not a big fan of Japanese sweets, but if you are, these are a prime example. But honestly? Mostly I'm grateful for having a special food to share with my loved ones.

We thought she called our order first which was a misunderstanding on our part the barista then yelled at her co worker saying "it's not his" "i said it's not his" then when my boyfriend backs up she yells "it's not yours!" It was a simple mistake but did not mean she could yell at her co worker and a paying customer. Like I said we understand first hand being understaffed since my boyfriend and I work in the hospitality/food business. But the barista was just wiping the counter while she had 4 drinks without lids then it took her even longer to take our order plus 2 other customers orders came out when we all ordered similar items (just beverages.)

The Estiva pizza was one of the best bites of pizza I've had in a long time, and I was honestly so happy there was a slice to take home because I enjoyed it that much. Kind couple serving delicious home-style Italian food that, for me, was better than anything I've had at an elevated Italian spot in this city thus far. They're primarily a takeaway operation and less than half a mile from the beach, so the possibilities for a beachside picnic are endless. What made it amazing was their use of perfectly ripened, sweet heirloom tomato, thinly sliced red onions, briny capers, delicious olive oil, and fresh dill, that gave perfect balance and perfect seasoning. We sat at a communal bench/table to enjoy our breakfast items (which they stop serving after 10:30); however, we noticed that others were eating some delicious-looking sandwiches served on their fresh baguettes. They also didn't fill the entire cup with ice which is good. They filled it about a quarter of the cup. Interior is spacious, have tables, they have a corner closed off for employees only. It's a coffee roaster(?). They sell bags of coffee so I assume it's a roaster. My only complaint if I have any, is that for my iced mocha, I didn't see any straws anywhere. I saw lids, wooden stirs, but no straws.
