So 1st of all we rarely ever try out a new restaurant as soon as they open but Cooper Hawk Winery and Restaurant is a must try. They opened up the end of February in Alpharetta GA and I must say the experience was a 10/10. The food, service and ambiance was amazing. Our Server Shai didn't disappoint..She was amazing and very knowledgeable. Every recommendation from appetizer, entrée to dessert was excellent, but I believe the best part for us was the pairing of the different wines to each food item along with just being able to sample any of there wines to appease your personal preference. Food is so good- and many options for someone who is celiac. However- the service is awful. Have been 6 times and service was awful 4 of those, This most recent- and similar to other experiences- took over 10 mins for the server ti come by. 20 mins for drinks and over 30 for bread. The worst isn't the time it took, it is that in each of these times, the server never acknowledged or apologized for slow service. Different servers each time and varying days of the week. Never overly busy. Went opening week and service was amazing- best ever. Where have those standards gone? Wont be back- too frustrating. Hope they make changes. read more

I was so excited to really like this place but it was big disappointment. The food is subpar at best. I ordered the braised short ribs and they were tough. All of our food came from the kitchen lukewarm at best. Service was slow. It took almost 30 minutes to get the tasting glasses we ordered. Our appetizer had come by then and we were finished. The ambiance is lively and at first glance it feels like a happening spot. Sadly the food and service miss the mark. The wine was okay but I dont need to spend mad money dinner to get some wine. Today was my first visit to Coopers Hawk in the new Alpharetta location. To say I was overly impressed would be an understatement. From top to bottom they have it figured out after only being open only one week. We will never forget the incredible service we experienced. I took my wife to the Frank Lloyd Wright location last night to celebrate her Birthday. Our reservation was at 7. 20 minutes after being seated we finally received attention at our table via glasses of water. Finally after 30 minutes Paige took the time from her busy schedule to stop by our table. She was very impatient while explaining a few things and let us know how busy she was!!! When we placed our order it took another 35 minutes for the food to arrive. The worst service I have ever received at this location. Considering cancelling our membership and never coming back. I am soooo excited to FINALLY have a Cooper's Hawk in GA. I love the wine tastings, you will get a nice buzz of those 8 glasses. The soy ginger Salmon is one of my favorite dishes. I usually don't eat coleslaw but the Asian slaw here is a must have... I absolutely love it. And you gotta start with the Southwest eggrolls because they are good too. Cooper's Hawk restaurant is finally here in Georgia, and I must say, they did not disappoint. The restaurant decor is absolutely amazing!!! The servers are awesome, Kole waited on my party, and he was knowledgeable and helpful in the selection of entrees. If you are looking for a classy, chic and fun place to eat and hang out, Cooper's is the place to go! Oh and did I say, the food is absolutely delicious! Get the calamari... you will be glad you did! My Husband and I visited Cooper's Hawk the other evening and what a very pleasant surprise! The staff where very friendly and accommodating, shout out to Troy Beals, AGM and our wonderful, waiter, Javon, both were very friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere was upscale and comfortable, and the food was beautiful, tasty and well-proportioned at a good price. The wine was good and not over priced. We were amazed on how busy the restaurant was as we purposely chose an off-peak lunch time. We enjoyed wine, mimosas, huge dinner salads, and salmon. This was my first time dining out at this place at my friend's birthday. Was very excited because it was highly recommended. But let me tell you something. It was probably the most disappointing experience I've had in a long time. The food was actually very good and the prices are very reasonable. Having said that the service was horrendous.! Starting from the fact that we had to wait 30 minutes for our reservation, after being seated, we immediately told our waitress to go ahead and take our appetizer order along with our waters. 40 minutes later, we had one appetizer show up unexpectedly and nothing else! That's just absurd. Once we pointed out to the management that our waitress seems overwhelmed he gave us attitude along with some bogus excuses. About an hour in ,we finally got our waters and our drinks ordered. Do not, and I mean it do not under no circumstance oder cocktails in this place. The bartender has no clue what they're doing. They were absolutely disgusting and trust me we returned them four times and they were getting worse and worse every time. Just stick to wine! The best part is once our dinner was served literally immediately our check was Ready to go at the corner of our table whenever we're ready!!! Nothing was taken off the table! It was a mess , And we still had birthday cake coming in that they never brought out. We actually had to fish it out ourselves, clean our own table and Catch a busser to bring us a knife and plates to cut the cake because the waitress was completely checked out at that point!! I was looking forward to going to this restaurant. It was for a friend's birthday dinner. First, it was so dark in the restaurant that we used our cell phone flashlight to view the menu. With a total of 7 people, we received 1 small loaf of bread. Received our drinks and appetizer. About 20 minutes passed a server came by to get our menu before we placed our dinner order. That was very weird. Another 10 minutes had passed and our main course order was placed. Waited another 20 to 30 and the food arrived, everyone but mine. The waiter never came over after the food was delivered to see if everything was good. Another 15 minutes passed and we had to flag the waiter to let him know that I did not get my food and other things that should have come with the other orders. He said that he would check on it and came back with another small loaf of bread and ketchup. I told him to just take my order off. He offered to give it to me to go and not charge me. Made reservations for my wife's birthday. After 25 minutes passed from the reservation time, my daughter went up to the hostess and asked if we would be seated soon. Five minutes passed and we were called. The ambience was that of an up scale steak house so I thought okay, dinner should be fine....until we were walked out to the outside porch right on North Point Parkway. There were a number of empty tables so I feel that we were seated on the porch mainly because they failed to seat us in a timely manner. Between the vehicles racing up and down the road and the music blaring like a club it was a total turnoff. It took 10 minutes to get water and about 15 minutes after that for our drinks to arrive. Luckily the food was very good, albeit after the poor service provided. If you are used to drinking quality wine, you will most likely be disappointed by the wine offerings here as it's mediocre at best. We ship wine in from California which is far better than what is served here. When it was time for the check to arrive, the waitress apologized for not spending more time to explain their wine club. Don't bother since we won't be returning with the management of reservations being done so poorly and the service being fair at best. Goes to show you that even though the food was very good, I refuse to dine at a poorly managed restaurant. read more

We waited 30 minutes to be seated for our birthday reservation. Water was only brought after dinner, and drinks took a very long time to arrive. The drinks were poorly made, and no one apologized for any of these issues. On top of that, we had to clean our own table so we could have our birthday cake. When we wanted to order coffee or tea, no one ever came to take our order; they just dropped the check on the table without asking if we wanted anything else or dessert.
