This is your typical chain restaurant, they all look about the same on the inside. When you walk you in you get a log cabin feel with an open fire place and warm lighting. But just like all chain restaurants you have hit and misses due to staff and cooks. But this one is definantly a hit. The food was really good and they serve a house salad that is to die for and coming from this meat and potatoes guy that is really saying something. But what really held the rating down was lack of servers. Our waitress was covering the bar plus 4 tables. And she did good but she got pulled away from our table to pour drinks. Since moving to boiling springs I've been to this restaurant at least 6 times. First, there is something for everyone. The portions are huge and the price point is not terrible. I personally love their burgers and I don't think you can go wrong ordering one. The service is lacking almost every time. The quality of the food is abyssmal, especially when the prices are considered. I had one of the worst prime ribs ever last night. The quality of the meat was just fair (it looked mushy on the plate). It was over-cooked and completely unseasoned, even the outer rim. I have eaten here many times, but this might be the last, they have reduced the portion size down to nothing, We usually get the large house salad, and it was plenty of food, this time I left hungry. That is not good, I would rather they increase their prices by a dollar, than reduce the size so much. This place was great for the first few years it was open, but has declined since. I'm sitting here now waiting for the meal I ordered 30 mins ago, and now they tell me they are out of baked potatoes. Copper River Grill just happens to be one of my favorite places to eat in Boiling Springs. I believe it is a chain but they're only in a few Southern states. It gets VERY packed on weekends and the waits are long sometimes, to the point where one time we went, no server acknowledged us. Most of the time, though, the service has been on point. This place gives you massive amounts of food. Period. I like their chicken tenders and wings the most, as well as their brownie sundae. Yesterday, while here with some friends for my 21st birthday dinner, I tried their buffalo wings and a BBQ chicken pizza. Again, great wings -- they taste oven-baked, delicious sauce and the meat melts into your mouth. Their pizza, while flavorful, was a bit too chewy for me. The cheese seemed cheaply constructed and fell off way too easily, but I guess you get what you pay for. For my birthday, I was offered a free dessert, and that's where I tried the brownie sundae. Just the right amount of chocolate on this, calmed down with a little Reese's peanut butter cup pieces. The front of the store advertises for their "Bigfoot's Mama-in-Law" burger. I've had that as well, but honestly, it has too many damn toppings. I'd skip getting this burger, personally. I highly recommend Copper River Grill for anyone with a huge appetite. Wow what a disappointment!!!! The server was awesome! The jumbo smoked wings were fried NOT smoked and from a cornish game hen, over cooked in fact the meat wasn't on the bone. My family ordered the pasta and after two bites all pushed it aside because they truly had NO FLAVOR at all. When we looked around every table was requesting salt and pepper, should have been a sign. The food was great as always. What I found very unappealing was one of the employees could not keep from scratching her head through her weave while in the kitchen and she was handling food. On top of that, our server acted like he was on a caffeine trip and would come to our table and then take off before you were able to ask for anything. I was on a business trip and stayed at a hotel a few miles away. I didn't know the area very well and liked the place, so I came by both nights for dinner. I sat at the dining room the first night and the bar the second. The food was very good both visits. Tasty and prepared well. I also liked the selection of Bavarian beverages. I had a personal pizza the first night and it was good, an average pizza to me. I had a beef sandwich the second visit and it was solid. My only criticism is the service. On the first visit, my server visited often but was mechanical and going through the motions. She mainly did fly-bys and didn't seem to stop. This was a Tuesday night and not very busy. I would have stayed and drank a few more beverages had it felt more welcoming. This is why I thought sitting at the bar the next evening. There were two bartenders and the chairs were mostly full when I arrived and thinned out a bit after. I had the same experience with the service though. The bartenders (both female) would check in but didn't seem too interested in keeping me there consuming beverages. I observed the staff being peppy and social with their co-workers and with a few who seemed to be regulars. If they could turn their personality on for the customers, I'm sure it would make a difference. It wasn't "bad" service, just could have been better. read more

Over the course of two visits, we tried the: Grilled Salmon Salad The salmon was overdone and the famous salad dressing, which is just bacon fat at honey-mustard, was a little too fatty for our taste. Firecracker Shrimp Mac & Cheese This was the best dish we tried. It had a nice kick to it, but it not worth going back for. Chicken-Fried Tenders with Buffalo Sauce The favor of the chicken and the Buffalo sauce were pretty good, but the texture of the chicken wasn't pleasing. I know this sounds weird, but they were distractingly soft, and not in a positive way. She-Crab Soup It tasted like lobster bisque, which is good, but the crab was brown, which is strange. We had lunch on Saturday 6/3. Arrived shortly after opening so was expecting poor food and slow service. Was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and seemed genuinely glad to see us. Service was excellent and quick but unobtrusive. My companion had the chicken salad and I had the prime rib sandwich and a house side salad. The servings were large and neither of us finished our entire meal. The food was very good, hot or cold as required and obviously fresh. While somewhat pricey for lunch the meal was a great value. In my opinion - average run of the mill American Style eatery. We like to go in the warmer months and sit on the patio and enjoy a few adult beverages and have the steak nachos. The service is always excellent and the food is good, dont get me wrong, but it is just your average fare.
