However, the food was terrible--turkey was dry, macaroni and cheese was uncovered at the buffet table as were other foods--very unsanitary. Pecan pie was 110% thick syrup, and there was a piece of pumpkin pie melted to black goo on the pie rack. Carpeted floors in restaurants can be a huge turnoff, and the one in this place was likely as old as the lake itself. This is a decent location, but management needs to take hold of things and make this as nice a place as the scenic lake behind it. read more

Best of luck with takeout from The Dock. We placed a fairly simple order, but it still didn't go smoothly. Although the menu lists a Greek salad with shrimp as an option, the person taking our order said that wasn't available. The salad also arrived without the dressing we had requested on the side. We ordered bone-in buffalo wings but received something that resembled frozen chicken nuggets instead. To top it off, we were given an order of fries we never asked for. The parking was convenient, the setting was lovely, and the vibe seemed promising with a band playing in the lounge as we arrived. We were seated in a beautiful spot, but our server never introduced themselves, so I'm still not sure of their name. The menu looked intriguing, and our group of five adults and three kids decided to start with three appetizers to share. The drinks were the highlight of our order, but things went downhill from there. My husband had the pork Milanese, which he found crunchy but completely flavorless, needing a whole lemon and lots of salt and pepper to make it palatable. My son-in-law ordered the crispy chicken and described it as rubbery and unimpressive. My daughter's coconut shrimp lacked any noticeable coconut flavor, and she said the shrimp itself wasn't firm. Finally, my son-in-law's mother had fish and chips, and she commented that the batter wasn't crispy. I usually like this place, but sat outside on the patio and there were spiders and huge webs everywhere. I dont know why this wouldn't be cleaned on a daily basis since you're serving food and have multiple guests in & out frequently. We all enjoyed our food, but 3 out of 5 had stomach problems when we got home, we all ate something different so we're not sure. The waitress was nice and did a great job and the inside restaurant is very clean. Hoping just an off night. We will go back to give it another try, but will sit inside. read more

We walked in around 8pm, about an hour before closing and we got directed to our table with in a minute and I ordered raspberry tea. Was really amazing. Then I got 12 boneless wings with ranch. They were some of the best boneless wings I've ever had. But here when some stuff happens. I ordered a brick oven pizza with pepperoni and it came with no pepperoni. My sister ordered chicken nuggets and they came with a side of buffalo sauce, I don't know who eats chicken nuggets and French fries with buffalo sauce but it's okay. We also had an order of mashed potatoes that we didn't get until we asked for a second time. Same with chicken tenders. Our server Casey was PHENOMENAL and so attentive. She truly was the sweetest person there, and we were lucky to be sat in her section. She had great recommendations for food and was incredibly gracious and understanding when we were originally supposed to be seated outside. Truly went above and beyond to take care of us. The food was great! I had the salmon BTL and while the sandwich fell apart after 2 bites, I would still order it again and eat it with a fork haha. My husband had the lobster pasta which was amazing. We loved the nautical interior touches like the refurbished boat indoors. This is also a great spot if you have your own boat and want to dock-and-dine. That said, you should expect good quality food and cooking, which this missed the mark on. - Coconut shrimp - starter portion has 4 shrimp, good size. Could use some salt / seasoning. Good marmalade sauce to accompany - Chicken - good portion but - Salmon - very dry and can taste the charcoal / burned bits. This would be great if it was juicer and had a Asian glaze type of sauce to top Staff was very attentive and quick - shout out to Ashley for taking care of us. A ladies lunch on Monday. We sat on the screened deck. We all enjoyed our lunch. Very generous sandwiches - fried clam sandwich (2 rolls stuffed) pickle and loads of sweet potatoes fries, Turkey BLT was very generous on great toasted bread with sweet potatoes fries and the salmon BLT on nice brioche bun with SPF. Lovely spot, good service and very fairly priced for the portions. Just one complaint - the wood decking is dirty and littered with food - lemon slice, lettuce, French fries. We finally get a table outside and the service was just poor , never asked how our food was , dropped food and left never asked if we wanted more cocktails , gave us a check without asking about desert or coffee. We reserved "Table 97" for the 4 of us one month ahead (which is their only outdoor table) and confirmed the week of the dinner that we had table 97 & it was the outdoor table. When we arrived, the hostess spent too much time on her screen after we said we had table 97 reserved. They sat us at a table inside & we saw there was a group at the outdoor table. The hostess said they changed numbers and now the table outside is 98! Unbelievable BS! The only reason we were coming here is for that table because we knew the food is pretty lame and the service even worse. This place is owned by a corporation "Settlers Group" and the servers are all like robots with zero personality and very slow. Food actually was ok but we will NEVER EVER return to this place or any Settlers Group establishment. There was even a $2 charge itemized as "ICE" for a scotch on the rocks. Really??? The manager was yelling at the hostess in front of customers, took 15 minutes for someone to take our order and she apologized for the outburst, then all the hostess's gathered at the station to complain, manager complained to customers there where too many people (really that is what a restaurant wants!), took 20 minutes for soda, wine and a bottle beer, waitress said the kitchen was having issues, rolls stale, crab cake had shells, and that may be enough not to come here. honestly i read the other reviews and almost didn't come here. i feel like the only way you don't like it here is if you have no taste buds or no taste. everything we ordered was absolutely amazing! i'm from NY and go to michelin star restaurants so i understand quality and service. we ordered the honey siracha wings, the clam chowder, the ceasar salad which comes on top of a pizza (amazing and a must have), the coconut shrimp basket, the wally burger (another must have) and a few drinks. the drinks were just ok in my opinion but everything else was absolutely perfect, perfectly cooked, fresh and DEFINITELY worth the price... our waiter was super sweet and attentive even tho we came at the busiest time. read more

One of the better options in the limited option poconos area in Winter during Covid. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was meh. We ordered 3 entrees and a burger. My wife and I got a salad with our entrees and my daughter did not, despite ordering the $21 chicken parm. (Because...she was a kid?) the chicken Chardonnay (primavera) was pretty good. Little Texas toast style garlic bread came with it. I ordered short ribs... and out came a thick slice of perhaps it was pot roast? Because I am pretty sure it was an eye round, definitely not short ribs.. the entree was tasty, the meat tender... served with passable mashed potatoes and some tricolor baby carrots. Gravy/Demi tasted a bit like Franco American gravy.. pretty good overall... but call it pot roast. My daughter got some chicken parm with an unusually sweet red sauce. She ate about half of it because we are used to tomato sauce being on the savory side. My son thought his burger was fantastic. The place was clean and kind of barren. Again... considering that it was off season. (?) the bar was closed due to Covid... in place was an interestingly merchandised display of bottles of available wine on top of pieces of wood.. Our server was a very nice young lady. Again a decent experience, and most likely one of the better/only options for a sit down meal in the area this time of year. Spent a two nighter in Hawley. Town looked ghosted due to COVID. Depressing but glad to see some businesses still opened. Checked the reviews and pictures on Yelp which turned us onto the joint. Sadly not many people there but awesome since we had good service. The food was great. We had boneless wings well done, wallys burger and a lobster chowder soup. All good was phenomenal. Price.......... well at this point I'm glad to give my money to local establishments. Any little help to keep them open, I'll gladly pay. Local establishments need to get local beer!!!! read more
