Ah man I didn't want to love this place cause I found it to be a pretty penny but it was sooo yummy! Almost $80 for 2 people. The breakfast wrap is a burrito and costs extra to add meat which I did and brought that price to $26. It was spectacular though I do have to say. I especially loved the crunchy vegetables which were cauliflower and zucchini I believe The latte Mi Corazon was really one of the yummiest lattes I've ever had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was very cute and colorful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This place is a must when in the area.

Such a cute coffee shop with some of the best Mexican food you can get in SLO. Staff is friendly, drinks are fun and the chilaquiles are delicious!

Yummy breakfast. We had huevos rancheros and pancakes. They have a wide and interesting selection of coffees, machas and horchatas. No frills. Just delicious food snd good service. We love a place where our dog is welcome.

This is our go-to coffee shop whenever we're in town! It's a cozy Mexican-style café and restaurant that always delivers amazing drinks, pastries, and food. This time I tried the mole burrito -- I thought I'd like it a bit more, but I'm still glad I gave it a try. That's one of the best things about this place: there are always so many delicious options to choose from. The only downside is how small the space is -- good luck finding a seat, especially on weekends. It's always pretty crowded when we go, but never enough to keep us from coming back. Definitely worth the stop every time!

We've been wanting to try this and I'm so glad we did!! My husband got a hot Maya cocoa latte and I just got an orange juice but both were so good! He got a concha which was one of the better ones we've had in SLO county tbh and I got the special carnitas chilaquiles and it was so heartwarming and packed with flavor! A lot of onions I probably would've asked for less or on the side but they were still good! The ambiance is so cute, it's community-filled with kids drawings all over the place! Counter service was quick and nice, not much seating and was pretty packed so I'd def keep that in mind when going. Worth it tho!

Corazón Café is such a charming little spot! The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and the vibe is very much a simple, order-at-the-counter and sit-down café--perfect for a quick, delicious bite. Seating is somewhat limited, with mostly bar tops and two-tops, so it's better for smaller groups than larger parties. We tried the horchata latte, and it was absolutely delicious--sweet, smooth, and perfectly balanced. The red sauce chilaquiles were amazing, with just the right amount of flavor and heat. We added asada to ours; while the meat was a little chewy, it was still a nice protein option. The corn dobladitas with asada were also tasty and fresh, though I'd probably order them again without protein next time since the flavors stood out better on their own. Overall, everything was flavorful and satisfying. We'll definitely be back to try more from the menu--it feels like one of those places where you discover a new favorite each time.

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA We came here Sunday Morning for Breakfast and Coffee. They were busy. Corazon Cafe is located in downtown SLO. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Decor is nice and colorful. Tables are small and comfy-ish. It doesn't look like its designed for a party over 4 people. Over all a cute and friendly shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Like most restaurants and business Downtown It doesn't have its own parking. Parking on the St. Is metered and limited. Parking structures avail. Only a few blocks away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant can be stuffed with customers on a Sunday, so space and seating could be limited. Also common for restaurants in downtown Slo[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]People were accidentally rubbing and bumping into eachother, that is what we noticed but all in good spirits, everyone was friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]No refrigeration. If its a hot day outside, more likely it will be hotter inside Corazon Cafe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is helpful and friendly. We didn't want to wait for our food long, but as soon as we thought of leaving at the very beginning, the gentlemen at the register said it would be from 20 to 30 min. We thought that was very considerate and smart of him to establish a time limit and so we stayed. Waited in Line about 15 minutes to order. Ordered 2 plates of chilaquiles and 2 coffees. Cashier was friendly and helpful. We found a table available as soon as we finished ordering. Food and coffee were both ready in under 15 min. Food / plate/ coffee presentation looked very nice. We notice the portions are small or smaller than average. Only Entrees served but No Sides. Price point was anywhere between $25 and $30 dlls per person. We got an entree and a coffee each. Paid 64 dlls total. Tax and tip included. Food lacks flavor. Chilaquiles were under seasoned and dry. There was not enough sauce in either of our plates. Green and red sauce were both bland and somewhat tasteless. Mole chicken didn't taste like an original mole and the dishes also lacked sides like rice and beans or maybe a queso fresco slice or a little salad. Just something could mean a great deal of difference. Coffees are good. My latte was very good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Decor and ambiance......4 stars[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service.....5 stars Food presentation....5 stars Green chilaquiles....... 0 stars Red chilaquiles with mole chicken.... 0 stars Horchata Latte..... 5 stars Mayan Latte... 2 stars. Good but couldn't taste the espresso. We will come back for coffee but for a great breakfast we will have to skip chilaquiles and maybe try a different option. We are still on the lookout for the best breakfast in Slo just so we can recommend great places to the over 1000 customers we deal with on a monthly basis who are often visitors. What a beautiful surprise on our way to the airport! Fantastic food, we had the breakfast burrito and the tamales with scrambled eggs.....Lordy, they are authentic and delicious. The Mamas matcha is fantastic and not too sweet. And the staff were so nice and informative with our special requests and newbie experience with the restroom situation. I didn't say grace before I ate but my first spoonful of pazole had me feeling blessed. Couldn't recommend it any higher. I'm someone that typically doctors my soups with various things (oregano, onion, hot sauce, etc.) and there was nothing to add here. It was all there, along with a lime wedge to add a little citrus kick. My mocha was super on point and my gf loved her latte. The chilaquiles were a casualty of greatness in that they were good but paled in comparison to the soup and coffee. We'll definitely be back. Service was great. Inside space was a little tight but seating was readily available outside and we were checked on with perfect cadence. Try it or diet? Do yourself a favor and try it.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice little dining place in downtown SLO.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have multiple selections of specially crafted coffee so we tried the iced Horchatte and Mayan mocha - both were good although I favor the mocha more. The chilaquiles was delicious and I had the carne asada torta with chorizo, which was delectable. Try this place put if you are in town!

Came here on a Friday for breakfast. I ordered the chilaquiles. It took awhile for the food to come out, almost 20 minutes. Prior to ordering the chilaquiles, I inquired about the pozole. It was $16 for a cup (guy who took my order showed me the serving size with his hands). I commented that it's very expensive for a cup for $16. The chilaquiles were bland, boring. I added pepper, salt and hot sauce on the table. My friend enjoyed his chorizo burrito. I would come back to try the pozole but not for that price. read more

We had a sweet corn tamale and the Sunrise Wrap with "crispy bacon". The food was fresh and service was friendly. The ingredients in the wrap were generous and the tamale was great. However, the bacon wasn't crispy, but rather soft and chewy. Also, there was a significant amount of grease at the bottom of both sides of the wrap. We also had an iced Mayan Latte, which was tasty and unique. I liked that it wasn't too sweet. The ambiance was cute, but crowded. I would go again, but not get the wrap. I can tell that the staff take pride in their work and put love into the food. read more

Great Chilaquiles! Great drinks if you like Mexican coffee! Owner was behind the counter, super nice guy, would definitely recommend. We ate on the street and had a wonderful time, absolutely recommend. I had a Bidi bidi bon bon which was sweet and my mom had a Mexican coffee. If you are a fan of good Mexican food and Mexican style coffee you'll love it here. I ordered the chilaquiles and I added mole. The pickled onions were perfect. The cops were delicious, and the mole was PERFECT. The aguas frescas were so good and the torta ahogada is a must try! One of my favorite places in SLO! Very authentic Mexican with delicious flavors, warm colorful atmosphere, and friendly staff. What to get: Food: Chilaquiles, pancakes, pozole! Drink: Literally ANY latte!! Be adventurous! You are doing yourself a disservice by not trying their traditional Mexican coffees like Mazapan (peanut butter amazingness), Tascalatte (roasted corn), Vegan Horchata (best I've ever had), and Champurrado latte (no caffeine) Junior is wonderful always smiling and happy to help and answer questions. I would recommend for anyone. Compliments to the chef and owners on such a welcoming restaurant. read more

Service: 3 stars Food: 2 stars Ambiance: 4 stars what's up with restaurants in SLO? Both restaurants we went to brought us food that was so salty that it couldn't be eaten. We waited forty minutes for our breakfast and when it arrived, I couldn't eat it. I sent mine back, but my partner was more forgiving, even though his was very salty as well. I just couldn't handle two bad food experiences back to back. At least the coffee and music was good. Food ordered: chilaquiles with chicken and chilaquiles with chicken mole. The presentation was good. The excessive use of salt aside, the mole didn't have much flavor. How unfortunate. Maybe our experience was a one-off. The owner was kind enough to comp us the coffee and meal. He was nice and sincerely apologetic. read more

Found this perfect gem while in SLO. The ambiance was casual and inviting. The staff acknowledged us a soon as we stepped inside. The aroma of the fresh ground coffee being made was amazing. We ordered three different dishes and they all were delicious. My FIL couldn't stop raving about the green pozole. I fell in love with the champurrado latte. Can't wait to try it again read more

Hubby and I stopped in for a late lunch, and we really liked it. Hubby had been looking for a place that serves good chilaquiles, and a friend recommended Corazon Cafe. He ordered his with chorizo, and I had a veggie quesadilla plus mole chicken. Both were generous portions and so tasty! We also ordered a chicken tamale a la carte, and it was very good. I'm so happy we decided to stop by and I'm looking forward to coming again. Next time I want to come for breakfast and try the Berrylicious pancake stack, which comes with chocolate infused maple syrup. That and a Mayan Mocha will make my day. The menu is small, but that just means that they do a great job with what they make. read more

This great cafe opened a few months ago.. , you have to try this spot! Incredible drinks, food, and service. My wife ended up getting 2 different drinks a maya mocha, and a tascalatte. Both made with special chocolate powder from the owners home city in Mexico. Both drinks were incredibly flavorful. I got a Jamaica which was refreshing, no sugar needed. They offer delicious food. Pazole , reg or vegan. There's 3 owners , two work there making the food and drinks from scratch. We were welcomed warmly and enjoyed a pleasant conversation. Place is clean and priced decently. This is a must if you're in SLO!!!! UPDATE::::we went back two days later. Again welcomed as if we were at a friends home. We ordered the vegan pazole! Incredible!! Made with love! The spices, the many veggies, along with the homeny, no need for meat! We ordered one to go, ate it 2 days later, it was still so fresh and packed with flavor ! I want the recipe, please. I ordered a torta with pork mole.. again so delicious. My wife had chilaquiles. She loved them. Fresh made tortilla chips. Of course we ordered drinks, and pastries. I missed the storefront the first time I walked by. Which is hard to believe once I found it because there are so many bright colors inside but I was looking at the signs and Corazon Cafe's sign is pretty small and blocked by the others in the area when walking down the street. But once you do find it, this place was so sweet. Brightly colored, and maybe it was more decorated than usual for the recent día de los muertos, but I loved the inside decor. Order inside at the counter and they'll bring out your food and beverages when ready. We sat outside since it was a beautiful afternoon. The menu looked great. Two of us just had to try the bidi bidi bon latte! I know there were tons of flavors used, including marshmallow, but I couldn't distinctly taste any of them. It was creamy and reminded me of the macadamia nut coffee drinks in Hawaii. I think they had little peanuts in the drink, but they didn't taste too peanuty since the drink was so flavorful. Stopped here for lunch on a drive from Livermore to LA & wow, were we happy we did! I got tamales & my son got quesadillas. Amazing. So yummy! Everything on our plates was perfect. The veggies were cooked yet still crunchy and flavorful. My tamales had a garnish pomegranate seeds on them that added these delightful sweet bursts of taste occasionally. The atmosphere was so comfortable -- they even played good music-- and the people were all really kind. We will absolutely be back next time we are in SLO. read more

Que delicioso! This place is sweet and cozy. The service is so friendly and delightful. The Chilaquiles are wonderful, flavorful and ample servings. The Mazapan Latte is also delicious as well as beautiful and artfully served hot. We go to San Luis Obispo just to eat breakfast here when we are lucky enough to be in the city. Highly recommend/very authentic Yucatan influence. Love it! read more

Here now and I couldn't wait to write this review! I ordered the Chilaquiles. Absolutely delicious! Seriously, so good. I think this is their specialty! It's authentic and just the right amount of spice! The service is also amazing, very friendly and accommodating - just like they are in Mexico! Cute little Mexican cafe in SLO. We had the breakfast burrito which comes with tortilla chips and a yummy salsa. Loved that there were plenty of real veggies inside (not just onions) and it wasn't too spicy. We did have to wait about 30 mins, but they let us know that when we ordered. read more

Corazon means heart in Spanish. Everything we make is made with love, with heart. Specialty coffees from Mexico and a rotating menu featuring our famous chilaquiles. Locally owned by two families, and in the heart of Downtown SLO.

Meet the Business Owner: Sara M.

Community, cafe, culture, comida. These are some of my favorite things and we've created a space for those things here at our Downtown spot! We hope to have amazing food, unique drinks, stellar customer service and a warm and inviting community space that welcomes everyone. Pedro and Chencho are the ones putting their heart and soul into the everyday operations. After 15 years in downtown restaurants and 5 years catering with their start up Corazon 805 Tacos, the right place came along! Sara spends her week coordinating services for children with special needs and dreaming of more community offerings for the cafe. We all hope you love the cafe like we do!

Yes I came for the coffee, sure but I came for the Scout merch for my niece when she grows up and wants to drink coffee out of a mug and thinks it's just the coolest thing that her Aunt went to California for the sole purpose of buying her this mug, or something like that. They had mugs alright, $18 a pop. They had some t-shirts too that were PRICEY and sweatshirts that were even pricier. It was a bummer because they didn't have a lot of size options and when I asked the staff if they had more in the back they were not the friendliest bunch. Anyways, got two Scout coffee mugs and a Scout coffee travel sticker and of course a coffee. It was late so I had a decaf americano and went on my way. I came back the next morning for a regular drip coffee and the place was busy! This time, the guy helping me behind the counter was an absolute sweetheart. We made some small talk and it put a better taste in my mouth from my experience with the staff the day before. They don't use sleeves here and I LOVE THAT. I hate sleeves on coffee cups I really and truly do. They tied a napkin around instead and I've never seen that before. The coffee was delish, love the name of the shop, love the merchandise.

Should Have Known Better…read more.... I've been to the Nautical Bean on Los Osos Valley Road a few times since my review in March 2026 and each visit earned 4 or 5 stars. Not bad! But I went back on Monday, June 8th and had a very different experience. I ordered 2 small cups of hot chai with extra foam, extra hot and 1/2 sweet. When they were done, both were "heavy" meaning they felt like there was no foam. I checked and yup...no foam. I mentioned it to the barista who said "no problem. I'll do them over". They were done quickly, but still felt "heavy". I didn't want to go back and figured "it's just me". I got into my car and tried one. It was 90% the same as before. She simply scraped a sliver of the drink off the top and added a touch of foam. Plus...the liquid was "thin" meaning she nearly scalded the drink to get it hot. The 2nd chai was the same way. And the shop wasn't even busy at the time. Everyone at the Nautical Bean is friendly and the vibe is great, but next time I'll take my own advice...even if that means going back to the barista twice to get things right.

We had the salmon bisque and Soup De Novo, which was a vegetable curry soup. These both could have essentially been meals. The salmon bisque was absolutely loaded with salmon. From what I heard about it, it tasted amazing. (I don't eat salmon). The vegetable curry soup was very flavorful and blended smoothly. If you ordered rice on the side, it would have been just like an entire meal. Tikki Masala Chicken - man, that airline chicken was cooked perfectly. Juicy and tender, great flavor, no a single thing wrong with it. The rice and vegetables were fantastic, especially the carrots. I don't know why they seemed extra good, but they were. 2 orders of the Ribeye. Once cooked medium and mine, cooked medium rare. Unfortunately, when mine came out, I immediately could tell that it was nowhere near cooked right. It was actually well done. When the waiter came back, I said "I'm sorry to have to do this..." and before I could finish he said "oh yea, that's definitely not medium rare, let me have the kitchen refire that for you". I dislike sending food back, but when you're spending $58 on a ribeye dinner, it HAS to be correct. (Note- the manager remedied the issue quick..came to the table, offered soup, bread, etc, which I had already eaten soup, so he comped 50% off the steak. Nice gesture!) The rest of the vegetables paired with the ribeye were very good. If someone told you the white bean puree was mashed potatoes, most people would believe it. Very creamy and delicious. The Italian salsa verde on top was also very fulfilling. Overall the dinner was very good.

I love pork but was a little skeptical about pulled pork on a slider riffing on the flavors of a bahn mi. To my surprise and delight, it tasted just like grilled Vietnamese pork, which was perfectly complimented by the fresh and pickled veggies and surprisingly hot jalapeño. Finally, I got the garlic fries which were a massive portion, crisp, and very garlicky. Everything was good and with such a large and customizable menu, I'd definitely return if I was in the area again. I also want to give a shout out to the bartender, Kelsey. I sat at the bar and her service was attentive and she was very knowledgeable about the menu. Corazon Cafe: Friendly Vibes, but Flavors Fall Flat Corazon Cafe has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, thanks to its incredibly friendly staff. The menu reads like a dream, boasting fresh ingredients and dishes that sound amazing. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to expectations, especially given the higher prices. I ordered the chilaquiles with black Angus carne asada (for an extra fee), and while the portion was decent, the chilaquiles themselves lacked flavor. The carne asada, however, was the standout--perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. It's a shame that the rest of the dish couldn't match the quality of the carne asada. I also tried a tamale, which was disappointingly dry, tasted old, and, again, lacked seasoning. Despite these letdowns, I truly appreciated the great service and the positive atmosphere. I'll give Corazon Cafe another shot and hope for better results next time. read more

My husband and I decided to indulge in the Chilaquiles, a vibrant dish brimming with flavor, perfectly topped with fresh ingredients that enhanced every bite. We also couldn't resist the Berrylicious pancake stack, which was a delightful tower of fluffy pancakes layered with an array of succulent berries and a drizzle of sweet syrup. Enjoyed a fabulous Sunday brunch with a friend after shopping downtown. This cafe is always buzzing with great energy. There was a short line to order food but we found a cozy 2 top and while waiting for our food enjoyed looking at the monthly Art exhibit featuring colorful Loteria paintings. I had the Huevo Rancheros with black beans, 3 kinds of cheese delish salsa and yummy scrambled eggs. With pickled red onions. Super tasty. My friend had the 3 berry pancake special that had fluffy pancakes, juicy and local berries, yummy whipped cream and an infused maple syrup. Sorry. We were hungry and forgot to take pictures. I had a wonderful experience at this quaint cafe in downtown San Luis Obispo. The food was delicious and authentic, with generous portions and beautiful presentation. The cooks are very talented and know how to make every dish flavorful and satisfying. Thier Pozole and chilaquiles are a must! The service was quick and friendly, and our barista Coco was awesome. She was attentive, cheerful, and made us some amazing coffee drinks. The atmosphere was happy and fun, with colorful decor.
