The southwest chicken grain bowl is my favorite but I've had several other menu items and they are all delicious and filling, which I love and need when it comes to salad. The bread and yummy lemonades are just an added bonus that I've come to love just as much as the salads. Core Life is a nice clean eating restaurant. The restaurant is self service as you order your food and then you choose whichever table you want to sit at and then throw out your things when you're done. The atmosphere is new, cool, bright with the colors of the healthy foods. It was awesome that they had fresh vegetables in the back - set up to order food is like Chipotle telling them what you want down the line. It was my first time last Saturday and I got the Korean special which was a buy one get one free. The Korean bowl reminded me of bibimbap; they had the purple grained rice, raw carrots, spicy radish, cucumbers, pork that was dry and probably more that was topped with barbecue sauce and a fried egg. It was a little dry due to the pork and not as appetizing after a few bites. There were an assortment of drinks that are all healthy from ginger to raspberry tea. A lot of options here. The prices are a little expensive, but worth the quality I guess. The bowl was about $11 and the drink was about $4. I would definitely come back to try their other foods like the poke bowl. Always good, fairly consistent, great staff, and clean space. I've been coming to CoreLife a lot as it's a quick and easy way to get a nice salad or broth bowl fast that I know I'm going to enjoy. Perfect Place to come with Friends, on a date, and they're very easy going with custom bowls and changing existing ones to meet your tastes. With both vegan and vegetarian options, the only group I might assume have some issues is those with allergies since everything is stored pretty close to each other. (but that could be argued at so many places that I wouldn't Single them out for it). Overall a Perfect Place for Lunch or dinner. Defiantly the best CoreLife I've been to in the area as well. CoreLife is good and all but it's expensive and they can be super stingy with the toppings. Came in recently for lunch and went with a grain bowl, so you'd think it would be a base of grains but it wasn't. She put spinach in the bottom of the bowl and the smallest scoop of quinoa. So in reality, this was a salad. Ended up asking for more quinoa and was told it would be extra. Having sufficient grains in a grain bowl shouldn't be extra but I went with the extra scoop anyways. Went down the line and added ingredients here and there, some carrots, onions, avocado, which wasn't worth the extra cost, they give you half and the avocados are tiny. What got me annoyed was the chicken portion they put on top, it was the smallest scoop of chicken, again I asked for extra, which again, cost extra. The salad options were interesting, high calorie in my opinion. I went with the lime cilantro jalapeño and it was really tasty. For two salads and a drink the total came to $28. It was just a little pricey for lunch. Appreciate the fresh ingredients though and supposedly the drinks are really delicious. There was plenty of seating in the place around 1 pm on a Monday afternoon. Some people are too lazy to clean up their tray after they eat, which is not the restaurants fault. They have an organized system to dump your tray, garbage and to place your utensils in a bin. You aren't leaving a tip, there is no waitress so have some freaking respect for the place and clean up after yourself! I'd definitely come back here for a healthy meal, you're sure to get one here, I just want more chicken! read more

I love that they give you the option to pick and choose what you want. I enjoy the chipotle chicken with noodle salad. Everything's fresh!! Get a lemonade! I tried CoreLife Eatery three times and each time was satisfied with my choices. I am a huge fan of Eating Clean and Healthy but realize that I doesn't have to taste bad to be Clean and Health! CoreLife Eatery takes the best our world has to offer and serves it with little to no processing. I had the Spicy Ginger Steak and Rice noodle greens bowl. The Spicy Ginger Steak has grass fed steak, rice noodles, shredded kale, cucumber carrots, scallions, ginger, and cilantro with miso ginger dressing. There is an option to get spicy rice noodles, I opted out this time. What I loved the most was there was ample of all the ingredients. My bowl wasn't with kale and left with little to not toppings, some places do to cut cost. I had generous amounts of meat, veg, and dressing. It was light and filling and so so so good, most importantly Gluten FREE! It was a fabulous treat to wash my meal down with the honey ginger lemonade. Why only four stars..? First, CoreLife's ingredients are super super fresh filling and when they say ALL their products are Gluten Free, they REALLY mean ALL their items are Gluten Free...major Bonus... Yes even the falafel! However, I feel the Broth can have more complex layers..who do I think I am...you say..its a fast food chain come on! I always wanted to take a visit to CoreLife Eatery ever since it opened but I never had the chance until now! I am very happy that I finally tried the food because it was a great experience. For those skeptical of the healthy approach that CoreLife takes, I had my skepticisms as well. But I was very surprised how amazing the salads tasted. I had the spicy chicken and ancient grains bowl and the spicy lime cilantro dressing was very tasty. The broth bowl was also quite good. All that said, the final food was edible, if not that close to what I ordered. 3 ingredients were left out entirely and a couple others were barely included. I asked that my bowl be tossed with the dressing - that didn' t happen. What was left was a bowl of spinach, kale and chicken that was quite dry as though it'd been under a warming light for hours. And when I got there the shelves where you pick up your food were empty, so I sat down within eye shot and waited. and waited. Until finally a woman came in, went down the hall past the shelves, and emerged with a big bag of food. So I went down and sure enough, there's my order under the 'Pay at Pickup' sign. I am just going to start off and say at CoreLife i don't have to convince myself to be healthy and order a salad, because their salads are bomb. I would describe it as a Chipotle, but for salads! The staff is surprisingly attentive... they greet you at the door/while you are in line to see if you have any questions. She rang up the person ahead of me and then proceeded to turn around and start counting money. I said excuse me and she ignored me and didn't turn around. Visiting the area and all anyone seemed to talk about was the new CoreLife Eatery in the university plaza. A friend of mine had already been numerous times, but insisted we meet her for lunch. The parking lot for this plaza is god awful, and I can only imagine it getting worse as they finish up the housing construction that's going on, but it should also be considered that with all the university housing here, a good amount of the clientele won't be driving. There was quite a line formed as we walked in, but since it was my first time I needed time to look over the menu and figure out what I wanted anyway. There were staff members to greet us and answer any questions about the menu. Approaching the counter it is definitely a chipotle like concept, but with lots of beautiful fresh veggies everywhere. I opted for a grain bowl and actually ordered a chicken one, but subbed out the chicken for the roasted tofu. There is the options to completely create your own, but that seemed too overwhelming for a first timer. The line moves quickly and the staff is careful to ask about your preferences along the way. My grain bowl and a fountain drink came to ~$12, but these are not ordinary fountain drinks. They have a ton of lemonade varieties. I stuck to the basics and got regular lemonade, which was delicious and on the sour side like I prefer, but they also had herb infused lemonades and teas, and ones with fruit flavors to them. My grain bowl was quite good with a generous serving of rice noodles, cabbage, tofu, and plenty of other veggies. The cashew dressing was more vinegar based and I would have liked something creamier, but the vinegar base helps keep the calories down. Calories are all listed on the menu, and everything is easily customized to your specific diet and taste. I was VERY full and easily could have eaten just half (and they have to go containers readily available if that's the case). The broth bowls looked really good as well, and my friend loves the tuna poke grain bowl. With so many options and permutations it would be hard to get bored eating here, and with the health first concept it is easier to feel like you had something delicious and good for you rather than greasy fast food. read more

Went here a few weeks ago for dinner. My husband and I both built our own broth bowls. We each had a broth bowl with multiple add-ons, and my husband had a juice. All of this was under 20 bucks for two people. It was also very fast. It's counter service, similar to how Chipotle operates. You pick your base, add in toppings and protein, etc. The toppings were all very fresh and tasty, and there were a lot of options for vegetarians. You end up with a very generously sized meal. When you do drive back or call, you get a sorry about that. No offer of a discount or real apology where they seem genuine that you just drove back to have them correct their mistake. As of this week I am not tipping until I get there and verify it is accurate. I should not be made to feel like I am the problem when I return food with the slip showing it is not correct. Excellent choice for a healthier meal.We order out a lot at my office for lunch, and this is a great addition. When you compare it to the $10 salads with iceberg lettuce you get at places downtown, this really stands out. For $8-$10 you get a large portion of healthy customized ingredients. I haven't tried to make any of my own yet, but tried some of their creations: Shitake Mushroom and Tofu Broth Bowl, Mediterranean Green Bowl, and Chicken Cobb Green Bowl. The mushroom tofu broth bowl was good, you could really taste the ginger and lemongrass. The Mediterranean Green bowl was great too - I swapped the kale for arugula which is a nice offering. The ingredients were fresh and the tomatoes actually tasted like tomatoes. I also really enjoyed the basic vinaigrette it came with. The falafel was tender and not crunchy. The best thing I've had so far is the Cobb salad, but it definitely is the higher calorie choice since it has eggs, bacon, chicken, avocado and blue cheese. The staff is very friendly - someone was standing in the line to explain the menu items if you had questions, and the people making the food are efficient and nice. Overall not a bad place but not my kind of thing. Very healthy meal options, although not very broad. You choose your bowl items just like subway. It was my first time going so I didn't really know what to get. Try to know what you actually want. I ordered a broth bowl then added ahi tuna which deeply cooled the broth and they don't have microwaves to warm it back up for you. I had to take it home to finish it, removing the tuna chunks before nuking it so they wouldn't be ruined, but they cooked as they sat in the hot broth anyway. Do not make mistakes like I did. The location is SUPER cute, fire pits outside, cozy but modern coffee shop style seating inside. We tried a bunch of their fresh drinks and they were all incredible. Only downside was the price. My broth bowl was so pricey because of that ahi tuna. What should've been a $20 tops dinner was a $30 dinner NOT including the drinks. You don't get the care and attention of a server here, you do it all yourself. We had to stand back in a long line to get some cups. It's alright though and if you're in the mood for something healthy, my bf's rice bowl was absolutely delightful and only about $10. Like I said, don't make the mistakes I did and you'll be happier than me. Also shoutout to Bryan on the end, curly haired guy. I would describe Core Life Eatery as basically a Chipotle for salads. The first thing that you will notice is that the choices are somewhat confusing. The second thing you may notice is that it's not exactly cheap for a medium sized salad. But the food is really very good and the salad combinations are well done and very tasty. I have eaten once a day here for a week at a time. Lots of good choices to mix it up and keep from getting bored with the same thing over and over and over again. Now for the bad part. The assembly line means that the amount of ingredients that you get on any given day will be wildly inconsistent. I got all the way home, and discovered that even though my order was correct on the receipt attached to the bag I received something COMPLETELY different.
