Core life used to be one of my favorite places to eat. I went today And asked for tortilla chips on my bowl. The cashier who was wearing gloves stuck his hand in the bowl of tortilla chips and then threw them all over. When there was a spoon to scoop them. This cashier also was taking money and using the register with the same gloves. I asked for a new bowl and the employees gave me a hard time and were extremely rude and unprofessional. The tuna sits in a seemingly luke-warm bath of vinaigrette all day (not a fridge or cooler per se) and we came towards closing time so perhaps it was or too long... This is raw uncooked ahi tuna (in my mind it should be chilled very well the whole day.) That being said, the flavors of the poke that he customized were great, but a little bit of their tuna vinaigrette or marinade goes a long way; don't add too much. The purple rice is always undercooked and some of it is hard as rocks and caused me to get severe food poisoning once and almost cracked my teeth. I called about it and they basically said we don't agree with you. Their steak is always cooked rare with no question about how you'd like it cooked (app) even when i questioned the fact that it was bloody and barely cooked the worker said 'no it's cooked correctly'. I love the food here and how it's got such healthy options compared to most causal fast food places.. but the employees just act like they don't care. They aren't very nice, and they forgot so many ingredients in our order each time. We typically always order online for pick up and each time we check our order before leaving we have to ask why we didn't get up to like 3-4 toppings sometimes and ask if we can have them. They even forget dressings, and bread most of the time. One employee actually told us once that they were pretty busy at the time so they just didn't have the time to completely get all of ingredients in our bowls... that's just not okay. I've worked in the food industry for almost 10 years and that is not a good excuse especially when the customer is paying extra for those ingredients. Sure I understand you are busy.. but you can't just not completely finish the order because of it. That's how you lose business. So I've just been turned off from going back here since this happens every single time, and the employees seem to get mad every time you mention they forgot stuff. Amazing salads! My to go to favorite is the Southern Mexican Style Salad. Think of it like chipotle, just healthier!! Haha! Their food is always fresh and their chicken is really juicy and savory! This place is great for healthy food to eat in or take out. It can get really busy during peak lunch and dinner times which leads to longer lines and limited seating options. The food is great. Always fresh and made to order. The staff is helpful with the ordering process and the prices are reasonable. The only complaints I have are with cleanliness. The tables aren't always wiped down after customers leave and there are small black flies everywhere. They like to hover around your food while you're eating. It isn't just a one time thing, either. They're always there. Also, there was a woman wiping off the dirty trays by the garbage cans which made me question whether the trays actually get properly washed in the kitchen after use. I visited with a few friends during their promotional event, when everything was free, and the line was out the door and down the sidewalk. The atmosphere and overall interior design of the restaurant looks amazing, very bright and uplifting. I ordered the tuna option and it was actually pretty good, I wasn't expecting it. The portion was small, but I don't know if it was because they were limiting the amount they gave out during the event. I can't really complain because I got a free meal, can't really go wrong with free food. But if I were to have paid at those price points, I expect a more filling meal. Love this CoreLife Eatery! Been there at least 4 or 5 times. The salad greens are fresh, grains well prepared and not soggy, and the topping variety excellent. I have had the poke bowl, spicy chicken and ancient grains bowl, and grilled chicken tortilla broth bowl -- all excellent although their green and grain bowls are generally better than the broth bowls. Eventually I started building my own bowl with half greens and half grains, avocado, tuna, seasonal fruit, edamame, sliced almonds, and soy ginger dressing. Usually we get lemonades as well, which have all been tasty and interesting. The beet lemonade is particularly good. It is definitely one of the more expensive choices for fast casual dining, but it's worth it. The decor is nice and the tables are kept pretty clean. The service has always been fast and pretty friendly. It has been a great healthy eating addition to the plaza. read more

You can also create your own with the endless options of veggies, proteins, and dressings/sauces. I've tried the Mediterranean, kale chicken Caesar, spicy Thai chicken, and southwest chicken and all were equally delicious. I also love the lemonade and tea options-delightful flavor combos that are refreshing and light. It's great food, but they need a few checks to ensure they are making the correct meal. I ordered a broth bowl (Spicy Ginger Steak & Rice Bowl) which, minus the rice part of the name, is the same as a green bowl. Somehow from the person that took my order to it getting to the cashier, they mixed the two together into some hybrid salad. I told them I thought I ordered the broth bowl and they told me no, but were willing to add broth or remake it. By that time though a pretty long lunch line had formed, so I just took the salad hybrid, which ended up pretty good. I finally checked out CoreLife about a month ago after hearing nothing but rave reviews. The inside of the restaurant is very clean, and the patio is awesome with the interesting fireplace. I opted for the steak, bacon, and bleu cheese salad. All of the ingredients were very fresh and the salad was quite filling. CoreLife also has a great drink selection with unique options. I had the cranberry cayenne lemonade, which had a nice spice to it without being overwhelming. I will definitely be back! read more

Great food for a colder fall day. They were very accommodating to my wife's gluten sensitivity and have great processes in place to avoid any chance of cross contaminants. I have been going here since it opened! Everything is excellent...until I brought my 80 year old parents with me. Again - no issues with the food - mom and dad said it was very good. I am writing a review based on the interaction of the very young staff with elderly customers need to be addressed. Please advise your staff that adjusting their approach based on the customer is crucial to customer satisfaction. When an elderly man has hearing aids and a cane, he will find it difficult to hear with background noise what the worker is asking over the glass protection. He will need a little more time to carry his tray and walk away from the cashier. When an elderly woman is asking questions because she has health issues and wants to be careful on the multiple items to choose, please give her a moment (don't rush) to decide.
