I drove out to Upland to join a group of my fellow Delta Air Lines retirees(pictured) for a Sunday Brunch. The service at Corky's Kitchen was outstanding, we occupied the table for a couple of hours and our servers saw to every need the entire time. I ordered the Corky's Omelet, which I can best describe as an omelet on steroids. The fluffy three egg master piece was over stuffed with ham, bacon, sausage , onion, bell peppers, and mushrooms and finally crowned with delicious country gravy. It was complete joy with every bite, and I recommend you try it. Corky's has their own bakery, and their bake goods looked delicious, but after that monster omelet I had no room for anything else. Five of us visited Corky's yesterday. My friend ordered a coffee, opened a creamer and it plopped in his coffee. (stale) The waitress brought him another one. The waitress was very good but was the only waitress. My food came, my first bite had a hair in it. My third bite had another long hair in it! I tried to find someone to complain to but there was no one. We left to pay, no cashier. We waited and waited, no one came to help us. We had to look for someone and finally a man came to take our money. He was not friendly at all, no thank you or a smile. My friends said their food was good, huge portions. I would like to give a huge shout out to our server the other day. His name is Diego and I have to say that he was such a pleasant person and to say about his service.... phenomenal! I didn't have to call him over not once to ask for a refill on any of our drinks or for any little extras like napkins or creamer because it was like he was reading our minds. He is a great asset! I know I want him for my business cause the customer service from him is 5 STARS! So if you are reading this management....he deserves more than what he is getting paid for the time he is trading for money! I will be driving back to this restaurant just because of Diego! Need to improve service. Other Corky's have a full restaurant and food still comes out fast. This one has a half empty restaurant and food is slow and they don't want to seat new guests. The service is horrendous. I had the server Danielle who was the only server not wearing a mask. I spent a total of 1 hour and 50 mins from the point of sitting down to paying for my check and I was dining alone. It took my server 20 minutes from the point that I was seated to finally come and greet me. I figured they were really busy so I ignored it as I was still looking over the menu. I ordered a coffee and sat there another 20 minutes until she returned with my coffee and finally took my order. I finished my coffee about 15 mins after I had ordered and did not get my omelette until another 25 minutes after. During the entire 40 minute span, my server did not check on me once. It wasn't until she finally dropped off my food that she noticed I was out of coffee. She said "I'll go ahead and refill your coffee." Another 20 mins go by and I'm already a little more than halfway done with my meal when I finally get my first refill and she drops off the bill and tells me to take my time even though I'm almost already finished. After about another 5 mins I decide that I'm done with my food and place my card down to pay for the bill. I then sat there for yet another 20 mins waiting to see my server so I could flag her down for my bill. She sees me from the kitchen and yells across the restaurant if I need anything. I point to my bill and she says "oh you pay upfront." At this point I could no longer contain my anger and shook my head in disappointment and I get a half hearted apology. TLDR: I wasted 2 hours waiting on service to eat a meal that took me 30 minutes to finish. Overall the food was okay and the ambience was alright but I would definitely not recommend coming here if you are hungry and don't want to spend hours to finish your experience. read more

First time here and it wasn't bad, walked in and the first thing I said was in having a piece of pie!!! Yeah well with all the food we got and even a break I wasn't able to get one maybe next time. The portions were a pretty good size I wasn't able to finish the junk scramble and we always share from each other's plate. I have been on a search for some real bomb biscuits and gravy, sadly I'm still in search. It was probably because we came in so late but they were cold and unappetizing. Sorry to say on our return visit the review is not good. The food was good as before. BUT... the service was terrible! I can't blame it all on the server because I asked 4 different people for a glass of water and one person even said that she will get my server! Seriously! Why does she need to get my server for a glass of water!!? We were also never given refills on our coffee even when we asked for it. I'm sorry to say, that we will not be going back and the other sad part is that we brought guests and they were NOT impressed and said now they know NOT to go to the Corkey's by where they live. We are not rich or famous and we did not demand to be waited on hand and foot, and we chose to spend our hard earned money at your restaurant. Tried Corkys again against my better judgment, smh they're just getting worse!!!!!! I was very disappointed with my dining experience. The food was mediocre at best, but the worst part of the meal was the fact that the music didn't work. I'm not sure if the speakers were broken or if the restaurant was just trying to save money, but the lack of music made for a very awkward and uncomfortable dining experience. It was so quiet in the restaurant that we could hear every conversation happening at the other tables. To make matters worse, the restaurant was very busy, so it was also very noisy. The sound of people talking, clinking silverware, and moving chairs was deafening. I tried to enjoy my food, but it was impossible to relax and enjoy our meal in such a chaotic environment. My hun, our two kids & baby came here in the morning for Mother's Day yesterday & we didn't have the best experience. Usually we do, we waited about 25 min to be seated which was fine, we got seated.. it started when I received my coffee. My spouse asked me if I had taken a drink yet, and I told him "no why?" And he noticed & pointed out that my mug had someone else's lipstick all on the rim. Lol Gross right? We told the waiter & he brought back a new mug. I jokingly told him "someone's mom left her lips on my mug" lol But what really bothered us is that our food arrived a little late.. almost an hour.. and the Skillet I ordered wasn't hot or sizzling... maybe I'm wrong but I thought that's how a skillet should come out... I didn't receive my muffin , & my spouse didn't receive his Biscuits & gravy.. We ate and waited til the waiter came back so we can let him know.. but he never did.. We were all finished with our food Still waiting, coffee mugs empty, no muffin, no biscuits & gravy & a fussy baby.. haha I ended up looking for our waiter through our booth and was able to call him over. We kindly told him.. he said their was no more muffins of the kind I ordered.. & I asked him if he could refill our coffees.. We ended up receiving a $10 discount on our check. Kinda like Mel's Diner on tv....except where's Flo.. I like the .05 cent charge (see photo) whining. it is a nice spacious restaurant with decent amount of food for your money. Food is pretty good, however the last time I got biscuits and gravy with my breakfast...and ...it's like the gravy for the biscuits disappeared not by my choice. Did it fall off of the plates on the way over to my table? Maybe the Cook ate it. Service can be pretty good at times, but when it gets busy, your table may be forgotten. The seats in the booth feel awkward as they push your butt upward and you sit higher above the table with the table pushing in on your tummy. I would give my experience 4 stars this time. We got there and were seated right away which was good. The waitress was kind to us even though we kept asking for stuff and some of my party was wishy washy on what to order and ask her to come back. My burger was good got a double hamburger and I finished it. The fries was good I would have ate it all but I wanted to save room in my stomach for the brownie sundae. We had a party of 8 and two from our party were celebrating their birthdays. The seating we got was good. Waitress was helpful and able to take our orders without too much hiccup, except for the others helping her with soups and salads, kind of got a couple mixed up. It happens. However it became a bit down hill from there. One of our party got their half sandwich and had a large hair toasted into the bread! It was brought to the attention of our waitress which she did replace it. The issue we all had with this is no manager ever came by our table to say an apology nor concern, nor did the person get compensation for the kitchen's failure to ensure food was served without any hair! Was Corky's on Mountain Ave that busy on Friday, September 28, 2023 @1:00PM? NO, they were not! We recently moved from Glendora to Upland and have been trying out the local eating spots. Corky's has quickly become a favorite! Breakfast there is awesome - the food is consistently good and the service is top-notch! I had lunch another time and tried the bacon turkey avocado croissant sandwich and was not disappointed! The onion straws are also a top feature for me. My only complaint is that if you try to order online, the onion straws show up in all the pics but they aren't listed as an option for a side! Not to be deterred, I wound up phoning an order in for quick service. They also have some awesome desserts if they aren't sold out - I've tried a couple of the mini pies and some of their cookies, all of which were delicious! Ever wake up starving? Trust me, Corky's is the place to go! HUGE PORTIONS!! So you can enjoy that breakfast skillet all day long (okay, maybe not all day, but you get what I mean). I've been to the Rancho location a couple of times and seem to always get the Santa Fe Skillet or one of their omelettes. ALWAYS with biscuits and gravy! Their biscuits and gravy is mouthwatering and just delishhhh!! Which sucks cause by the time I'm halfway through my actual meal I'm already stuffed so I can never eat much of the biscuit and gravy while I'm there. I've learned to just ask for the gravy on the side so I can take it home and enjoy it later. GREAT SERVICE!! My server today was Vanessa and she was just such a sweetheart. All of the employees I encountered greeted me with a smile and were just all super friendly. I love how welcoming and "homey" Corky's is. Parking: It's located in a shopping center that seems to be growing. So the addition of better stores equals to harder to find parking. Even though the parking lot is huge, don't be surprised if you might actually have to do some walking. Trust me, it's better that you park a bit far. You're gonna wanna walk it off by the time you're done here. Overall, yes I'm a fan. So happy this location is closer to my house than the Rancho one. Oh! and it's open 24/7! Yeah!! I had some time to kill last week before Stater Brothers opened at 7 a.m. so I took advantage of the early morning peace and had breakfast at this newly opened Corky's. The interior is very nice and spacious with lots of windows and natural light. And my favorite--stools and diner counter for single diners or no nonsense parties. Of course, I sat at the counter and was promptly offered coffee, yes please! I perused the menu which included daily specials. Prices were a little steep for breakfast, but when you see the mountain of food that arrives on your plate, you know why. Though I wanted pancakes, I ended up ordering a cheese omelette with a side of fruit. Yes, it was huge (made with 5 eggs and probably a block of cheese.) To avoid a heart attack, I only ate half. Very good, very fast, and very nice servers/staff. Timing is everything and hiccups are inevitable with new restaurants. This new kid on the block is alright.
