The short and sweet: Corner Bakery Cafe has some great paninis and salads. The price is a tad high for what you get, but at the same time the flavor is there. Also their BBLT was surprisingly quite good. Corner Bakery Cafe is located in a shopping center, blazingly in front of a busy street. Once you head inside, it reminds you of a brighter Panera Bread. Honestly though, there is nothing else similar between theese two restaraunts, aside from the fact they both offer desserts in the form of delicious baked goods. We had the BBLT( Balsamic mayo, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato), ceasar with shrimp, and a Chicken Pomodoro with a side of baked potato soup. The total was around $30ish, which was surprisngly expensive for what you get, but after eating, it was worth it. The BBLT was surprisingly delicious! The bacon was crispy just the way you want in a sandwich, crispy but not hard, and breaks into pieces once you take a big bite. The balsamic mayo and fresh tasting lettuce and tomato helps the bacon and bread shine. The only flaw I see here is I wish there was more lettuce than tomato. Otherwise, would definitely recommend this if youre a fan of BLTs in general. 9/10! The chicken pomodoro panini was also a surpringly good panini. Normally whenever you order a panini the bread is pressed to the point where its a thick cracker with squishy filling. In this case, the bread was certainly compressed, but somehow retains its identity as bread. When you take a bite, the panini is crispy, yet chewy at the same time. You would think the bread is flimsy, yet it holds everythinf nicely. 10/10. The loaded baked potato soup was just ok. Don't upgrade your side to this, not worth it. If you've ever had a baked potato soup from Chili's, its the exact same thing. 4/10. Finally, the Ceasar Salad with Shrimp. You would wonder what is shrimp is doing ontop of a Ceasar Salad instead of chicken? Well, Im here to say it works quite well, especially with the way Corner Bakery prepare the shrimp. You get 6 pieces of decently sized shrimp that are plump, deveined, and not slimey or soggy. One bite of shrimp with the flavorful ceasar is wonderful. There is ALOT of parmesan in this salad, and the croutons have green and red peppers in it which is just great. This salad is a solid 10/10. I honestly was not prepared to enjoy this meal. I was so unprepared to enjoy it I didnt even take pictures of the food prior to eating. I ended up enjoying the food enough that photos slipped my mind! I previously visited a different location in San Diego and had a terrible experience for breakfast and expected the same here. HOWEVER, Corner Bakery lunch is fantastic. Do come give this place a go if youre nearby and want a light, flavorful meal. read more

Cute little bakery with sandwiches, soups, salads, and pastas. I only ever order delivery from here, but yesterday I came in to dine in. Oddly, the quality is much better when you get it delivered which explains the three stars. 1. The woman taking our order looked annoyed to be taking our order. She didn't smile, didn't greet us, and just stared at us. 2. I really wanted to like the mac and cheese but it was not good. I think normal elbow macaroni pasta would make this better, and some more spices. Also, the center was warm, and the rest of the pasta was cold. 3. Caesar salad is good. 4. Chicken pomodori is normally really good and I typically do recommend this sandwich, but when we dined in, the bread wasn't toasted as much as it normally is. I would still recommend it, because I feel it was just an off day. Overall: I feel this may have been a one off dine-in experience. I haven't had Corner Bakery in years, so when I saw the new items on the menu I was impressed! I went through drive-thru around 4PM and got the 1/2 Chicken Pomadori and 1/2 Shrimp Scampi Linguine with a Caesar Salad as a side. Everything was hot, the customer service was welcoming, and the wait wasn't long at all! I was hesitant on ordering the scampi just because everyone does it so differently, but it was incredibly fresh! You can taste the quality in the herbs, pasta, and shrimp. 12/10. 100% recommend this location and encourage you to try any new items you've been thinking of. I normally don't review places but I felt like this location deserved more recognition! Thanks guys! read more

My first time trying CBC and I was pleasantly surprised! I came here thinking I wasn't going to like it because of some of the reviews that I saw on Yelp. I'm actually glad I gave this joint a chance because I really enjoyed the healthy breakfast I ordered. It was a scrambled egg bowl and toast without the cheese and onions and it was pretty lean and satisfying. My mom had the scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes and she highly enjoyed it. The only thing I did not enjoy at all was the bitter tasting coffee. No matter which blend I tried they all tasted burnt and the decaf tasted watery. I think our bill including 2 coffees came to about $27 which was a fair price for the type of breakfast we ordered. I look forward to trying CBC again when I'm in the area. It's a 2 thumbs way up for this little neighborhood gem. read more

Not impressed at all. $19 for the Shrimp pasta, 4 overcooked shrimp and greasy pasta with no taste. Bread was old and cheese was hard. Had this dish before, it was DELISHIOUS! Meeting friends for an informal brunch and conversation. 11AM on a Wednesday - no problem getting a table. Only a couple of tables being used when we got there. I ordered the Anaheim scramble ($9). Came with fruit and toast on the side. The scramble was very tasty. Unfortunately, it was served room temperature. As was the toast. How do you prepare food to order and serve it cold??? My husband, five year old and I love eating lunch at this Corner Bakery location. Rarely do I ever give 5 stars across the board, but this store and staff totally deserve it for going above and beyond not just one time, but multiple times (good way to get repeat customers!). We ALWAYS order the two for two deal which is a great deal - they are so much tastier (and cheaper) than Panera! Panera is probably their biggest competitor. Staff is super friendly and even brought our kid a coloring book and crayons yesterday! I'm obsessed with their caprese sandwich and caesar salad. I also love their unsweetened black currant iced tea! My husband loves their turkey/bacon sandwich. Bacon is cooked to a crispy perfection. He loves their soup (so does our kid). The broccoli cheddar is their favorite soup! I'm vegetarian - there are plenty of veg options. There are also plenty of meat options. They specialize in soups, salads, sandwiches, and have their own bakery with baked goods (drool - they're so delicious!). Best part - this location has a drive through! Food is top-notch, plenty of free parking, wheelchair accessible, and totally kid friendly. The food is so fresh and delicious. Staff is amazing. I order from Corner Bakery Cafe occasionally (usually through a 3rd party delivery service while at work). It's not my favorite lunch spot, but it IS my favorite soup. Today was one of those days where I just wanted their Loaded Baked Potato soup and placed my order. I normally get the Choose 2 option with a half of a sandwich. Their sandwiches aren't my favorite. I ordered the Chicken Pomodori panini for my half sandwich. It was OK but felt like it was haphazardly put together with the pesto aioli kind of gathered all in one corner of the sandwich. I definitely prefer the Frontega Chicken Panini from Panera. But their Loaded Baked Potato soup is scrumptious. It comes with shredded cheese on top and has green onions in too. I love it! The one thing I do really like about Corner Bakery above their competitors is that their Choose Two option comes with a free side which can be a side salad, caesar salad, fruit, etc. for no extra charge. At Panera for the same meal price, you only get an apple or a bag of chips. Definitely a win for Corner Bakery cafe there. read more

There is only one location in the Las Vegas valley. A similar restaurant to the Panera Bread chain but with slightly less options in salads, sandwiches and soups. However, they do have pasta options that Panera does not. Corner Bakery also has a drive thru available which makes it convenient if you want to stay in your vehicle. First time at the Corner Bakery Cafe, I order the shrimp pasta cafe, not the dinner. Had a good flavor, lemon sauce was good. They can maybe, just maybe add couple more shrimps Comes with garlic bread that was not crisp , it was kind of gummy if that is a description? My husband had the Steak Arugula sandwich with a side salad. We shared a lemon bar that was really good. Very clean, follow the CDC latest guidelines and the staff is welcoming and attentive. Even though Corner Bakery is found in a handful of states, this one is the only one located in Nevada and I'm so glad it's in my neighborhood. COVID edition: they strategically place plants on every other table, which I must say is clever and more aesthetic than a seat-restriction sign. For anyone that hasn't been, it's in a similar vein as Panera/Cafe Zupas, but more affordable. And cozier. Plus a drive-thru! The employees I've encountered are all so friendly and it's not unheard of to receive an extra cookie or extra stamps on your coffee card if delays or mistakes arise. I've had it happen to me a couple times, so I definitely appreciate the awesome customer service. They have baked goods, breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings, but I think the best deal at Corner Bakery is the "Choose Two" deal. You pick two items for only $8.99: half sandwich, half panini, salad, pasta, or soup. It includes a side of chips/bread/side salad, too. Some of my favorites -- CHICKEN PESTO SANDWICH PRIME RIB and PROVOLONE PANINI HARVEST SALAD SHRIMP SCAMPI LINGUINE PESTO CAVATAPPI CHICKEN ROSA PASTA (seasonal) If you sign up for emails, it becomes $7.99 on Tuesdays, which is pretty good considering I can allocate two meals, easily. This was my second time at this spot. The first time I had a cease at salad with chicken which was good. Today I went with a group and I said let me try something different I tried the pasta chicken and it came with a slice of garlic bread. I really liked the garlic bread so much so that I ordered two more pieces which were .86 cents each. The pasta was ok I asked for light sauce and no tomatoes. I also had a iced Vanilla cream latte which could have been just a tad bit sweeter. The restaurant was pretty clean with the exception of the flies, I noticed this on my first visit as well. I don't know why they had the napkins hid behind the counter, I advised the cashier that none were out and she said we keep them behind the counter. The soup was cold, and when we asked about the sandwich practically empty- like they forgot the stuffings minus the sauce & cheese- they said they would make a new one, but started to gossip in Spanish, about the entitled white people who always complain. We may have white skin & blue eyes but we are a Hispanic family and my husband responded in Spanish. The ladies behind the counter were shocked & apologized and said they would make a new sandwich. When they brought us the new sandwich she slammed the plate down and walked away. Next time we won't return. Sadly this is one of our favorite places in the Bay Area. We normally don't go on Saturday, but on Oct 5th, we were meeting friends. The place was busier than normal. We were disappointed with the customer service taking our orders, Liz, specifically was rude. Our friends got their orders wrong, missing some orders, our order was at the counter getting cold. The coffee decanters were not refilled. We were told that they don't refill after certain hours. I don't usually give negative reviews, but I thought the managers need to know, so they can make adjustments on busier days. There was no manager on site. read more

Tried this place for the first time tonight and some of the items were great, some maybe not a repeat item for us. We placed a delivery order so did not have a chance to see how the customer service or establishment was but I'm sure it's great. He got soup and bread and he loved it! He wants more. I will say we got what we thought was a big normal size but it was just a baby bowl and not as advertised. They should clarify on website a bit more but either way he loved their soup and we would probably need to get more than one next time. We also tried their Mac and cheese which is extremely plain and no taste but we added some seasoning and Parmesan cheese to it and it was excellent. Would still recommend it but you may need to spice it up for flavor. We also tried one of the sandwhiches which won't be a repeat item unfortunately. The cookies however are top notch delicious! We would go there just for the cookies! I can't begin to explain how yummy it was. Turns out to be more than delicious, generous serving, ingredients so fresh tasting, not to forget the yummy Carmel Latte. My sister ordered the Shrimp Scampi Linguine. So good. I went today for the first time after living near it for so long, I thought it was pretty good! The prices are honestly great. I went with my grandma, we got the tuna salad sandwich, chicken Rosa pasta, a lemon bundt cake, and a coffee for about $33. The pasta was only the cup size and it was very large, I honestly could've shared it with her. Everything was great in general! The workers are nice and the service was super fast. Disappointed in the food I had a bacon, avocado, egg bowl kind of dry. The toast was hard with no butter and cold. There was no coffee in a coffee container. We wanted the half-and-half was completely emptied. They filled it, but didn't clean it. I found the restaurant could be a little cleaner. I have eaten there before this was not a good experience. As for the service, the girls were pretty nice, but very new I mention their coffee was emptied. But they said they made coffee in the morning. I guess they didn't make it again. We had a very important business meeting today with several employees present . We placed an order and the driver did not bring everyone's order . When we called to tell the bakery they said you can come get it we are short handed today so you are on your own . We proceeded to tell them that is why we placed an order to be delivered we do not have time to leave our business meeting . Now someone will not have a lunch ! We asked for the order to be credited and they said I will have someone call you back . It has been over two hours no call no food ! Very unprofessional and we spent over $100.00 unacceptable! I have mixed feelings about this place. Came here 2 separate times. The first time I came here I ordered the Anaheim Panini breakfast sandwich. It was really really good. Bread was soft. And the scrambled eggs mixture was fluff and very flavorful. Probably the best breakfast sandwich Ive had in a long while. Now the second time I ate here I ordered the food online for pick up in store since I was just across the street. I ordered a kids meal grilled cheese with chicken noodle soup,chips,fruit and a juice. Surprisingly this kids meal came with alot of food for only $5.49. Really cheap. BUT.... The grilled cheese was burnt and hard as hell. I could've used it as a weapon. Lmao. The chicken noodle soup tasted dirty. And the fruit did not look fresh. So. I went back and had them remake my food and replace the fruit for a cookie and the chicken noodle soup for broccoli cheddar soup. Second time around was a lot better. The broccoli cheddar soup was ok but way better than the chicken noodle. And the m&m cookie was really large and tasted good. Now the employees there didnt seem too thrilled that I had them remake my order. Which I wouldn't have asked if it were done right the first place. Cause at the end of the day. Im spending money for something I expect to be at the least half way decent. So with that said. Its a gamble here. read more
