Fun cafe in the industrial area - with classic rock playing, how can you go wrong?? Breakfast menu was normal southern breakfast. Everyone was very down to earth, fun and friendly! I highly recommend :)

This is definitely a spot that I would visit again. I did not want to go to the "normal" breakfast spots so this place was a pleasant surprise. We order a short stack, two egg breakfast with corned beef hash, and cheese omelette. I'm big on the consistency of grits and theirs was perfect. It was not smooth how some people do and that's is okay. It was good and it did not need any extra salt or anything. That's was a big shocker for me because almost no one does that! The corned beef hash was perfect. It was thick and big. Delicious! The pancakes were a nice size. We were given an decent amount out food for the price. Love this spot and will definitely visit again. And the biscuit is really good!

Lots of tuna in the tuna melt. This sandwich is excellent !

We came here just before they closed on a Saturday (Close 1pm). Closed Sundays and open until 2pm during the week. We were pleased to see we could order breakfast OR lunch. The menu options were NUMEROUS and some of the lunch options were heavier fare and could have easily been dinner (even though they are not open at that time). Expect no frills at this place. I loved all the booths you could sit in. The decor is very 70s with artists from that era lining the walls near the ceiling. I don't think anything has changed in this place since. Lol. You seat yourself. Our table was just outside and across from the kitchen. Don't sit at that table. The oil from the fryer is likely the cause of the table being sticky. My husband got the tuna melt ($6) with fries ($2). The sandwich was on grilled rye bread and was EXCELLENT. Lots of tuna in the sandwich. He liked the fries, I thought they were ok. Very potato-like but not very crispy. I had the Texas Melt ($7) with house made onion rings ($3 for lg). You MUST get their onion rings !!! Yummy ! I seriously sat and ate each one with a smile on my face saying "these are so good" to my husband while eating each ring. My sandwich seemed better in concept on the menu vs. the execution. The roast beef was rubbery and not good quality. It had grilled onions and mushrooms over it with melted cheddar on grilled rye bread. I would not recommend getting this. Our waitress was great; a sweet older Greek lady that kept our drinks refilled on a constant basis. You take your check up to a register in front of the kitchen to pay your bill. You might want to use a calculator from your phone to total things up beforehand since each item price is listed but not totalled. The cashier was very friendly also. I accidentally left my phone on the table and she got my attention as we were leaving and brought it out. This is a nice little no frills place for lunch. We'll definitely be back.

First time here. Convenient to where I am working. Causul nice and friendly. Plenty of seating. Extensive menu very reasonably priced. Went with the seafood option. Catfish and flounder. Hot upon arrival at table. Overall hot and tasty. Will return.

    Dry 1/2 Lb. Cheeseburger

Every time I order from there they mess up the order and I order simple thing like HOMEFRIES or a cheeseburger how in the ..... do you mess up these kinda of things. Very disappointed I try and wait a few weeks b4 I order again and when I do it's still the same way then they have a problem and don't want to remake your food . My homefries looked like a potato pancake my cheeseburger was plan it was supposed to have been M/L/T/O/B but what I got was CB/O/B and do you think they remade my burger hell no they sent Lettuce and tomato in a box and no mayo Still a DRY ass burger and this was suppose to have been my lunch

Being welcomed & fast service was par none. Pleasantries are made to feel welcomed! The food was good. But... I'd prefer less gravy on the meat. And cautioned about mushrooms (I do not like, but I am not allergic to). Nonetheless... The meat was tender (could use abit more flavor), and the veggies were just right!

    Yellow Chicken and Dumplings??

Hubby's office ordered lunch today. The picture is what he got on his plate...YELLOW CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS??? What?!? No one in the office would even try them...not even there "Mikey". He also had fried squash, which were greasy and mash potatoes and gravy which were just ok. Overall a bad lunch experience for him and his office.

She got their garlic bagel--the only type of bagel they offer - and it was generously stuffed with delicious, aromatic garlic. She enjoyed it! The café is decorated charmingly, with little Madeleine cookie designs stamped throughout the space. They have a small section with some gift items for sale. They also sell Madeleine cookies, of course, though we didn't get any. The service was given with genuine smiles. The prices were normal - not a deal but not over-the-top. We enjoyed our breakfast and will happily come back!

Good amount of seating inside (mostly 2-seaters; one larger table reserved for bigger groups). Helpful and friendly staff who were amazing with my little one. You have to try a slice of the basque cheesecake. The plain slice (with no whipped cream or fruit topping) is not overly sweet and the perfect amount of "burnt" & creamy. We also tried the madeleines, which - as the café's name suggests - were on point. And the garlic bagel is a garlic + cream cheese lover's dream. The iced dalgona latte was such a treat. Sweet with a creamy foam and topped with crunchy cookies - very well balanced and delightful to drink. The prices reflect the care and high quality of the products. Come support this amazing local spot and enjoy their unique, thoughtful offerings!

While I looked online I was surprised to learn that this place tries to stay in touch with their South American roots, so obviously I wanted to try it out! On the menu I saw plenty of drinks from coffees to matchas to chais and lemonades as well. Apart from that there were other options like baked goods and sandwiches. Once I got there the place was actually very packed but there was still plenty of room as well. There was also an outside patio for those who wish to sit outside rather than inside. The vibe was giving woodsy and green. So it felt very bright and welcoming in the shop. The staff was nice and took care of me quickly. I ended up ordering their pesto flatbread. It took a couple of minutes for me to get my order but nothing too long. The flatbread was overall really good. It had arugula, pesto, cheese, prosciutto, and cherry tomatoes on top. It was very filling as well. I would def recommend this place if you're in the Charlotte area! I will say that the prices might not be the "cheapest" but I think it's worth it.

A lovely discrete treasure, a blessing to the South Charlotte food scene…read more This easy to find yet tucked away café was the best breakfast I've had in many years. The meal started off with an iced rosemary lavender latte crafted with their in house syrup made with cane sugar and fresh herbs. Rosemary and coffee has been a revelation to my palate and I'll be back for this alone. Which I will happily enjoy in this comfortable and cute dining area. Breakfast was made to order from fresh ingredients, piping hot and intentionally seasoned. As their bright and cheerful owner puts it, the main ingredient is love. And trust me, you can taste it. This is the first time in my two decades of eating tofu that I can actually shoutout how delicious it is. And the aromas coming of this photogenic waffle were mouthwatering. While Charlotte has become over run with corporate and copy cat restaurants, it is truly a thing of comfort to enjoy a delicious meal made by good people that care not only about what's on the plate, but who is eating from it. 6 stars

We didn't wait for too long for the table as people were just leaving. It took a bit for the waiter to come to our table and took even longer for him to get our food orders in, which we noticed he got the food orders in for the other tables with people who came in after us. This then lead them to getting their food before ours. I ordered the breakfast combo which came with 2 eggs, bacon, and waffle. I was a bit surprised that this place didn't have any chicken or turkey protein side options as I've seen is common with brunch places. I also got my eggs scrambled which, as you can see by the picture, came out as an omelette. When asking the worker about the confusion, he doubled down on it being scrambled eggs and even gossiped to his coworker about it as well. Upon the unfair wait and the egg situation, I will not be returning here again.

The keto diet is no carbs and bagels are 100% carbs. Delicious, delicious carbs. This location is in Ayrsley and I wish them success. It's a tough spot and several other businesses have been here including a copy shop and a biscuit place. But judging by this morning's 11am queue, they should be doing okay. It was super easy to order at the counter and I could see their "lox in a box" in the cooler. These are FRESH bagels. They don't toast because they don't need toasting. Sliced already, just shmear and bite. The "lox in a box" is all the proper pieces with a generous portion of smoked salmon, cucumber, red onion, tomato and even the capers. Two small pots of cream cheese as well. I turned to go back to the counter for a knife for spreading, but no, they'd already tucked a wood knife into the bag. Perfect! We opted to take it with us and picnic. (At the CLT Overlook, if you must know.). Easy to put it together and serve. Way better than dining in, we got to watch planes while she ate a bagel and I ate some cucumber, cream cheese and salmon. Delicious. We'll definitely be back to Jeff's Bagel Run for bagels and especially so when I'm looking to take a break from ketosis. [Review 620 of 2026 - 4708 in North Carolina - 25801 overall]
