My family and I were really excited to try The Corner Deli, but it didn't live up to expectations. I spent over $75 on five sandwiches and only one, the Penguin, was actually good and made well. The rest were disappointing. The pastrami had very little meat, the Mother Clucker barely had chicken, and the others weren't enjoyable and unfortunately went to the trash. It also felt like there was no consistency. Depending on who made the sandwich, the quality and portion size really varied. I was also concerned about cleanliness. I saw an employee slicing and portioning deli meat without gloves, then touching receipts, boxes, and even themselves before going back to the food. There were gloves available, but none of the staff used them while preparing food. Anyone in the food industry knows ready to eat food should be handled with gloves, so that was very disappointing and honestly made me close to asking for a refund. Customer service was okay. No greeting when I walked in, but the order was taken fine. Overall, I am not sure if I would give this place a second chance.

Bad service, no one says hello, let alone take your order. Seems they only focus on the drive thru for Wienerschnitzel. Was driving by on 4th street saw the sign of their Pastrami and had to turn around only to get there and no one Acknowledge you, so I was there just looking at the menu but nothing, The girl working at the drive thru came to the register as I was leaving. It was at around 1 pm, I noticed 4 employees two of the working on the grill on the right side, the one Girl working on the drivethru just standing there and another worker On the Wienerschnitzel kitchen.

I really enjoyed my sub and the portion was large enough that I had extra to finish later. They are located inside the wienershnitzel, which actually makes it kind of nice to be able to grab something off each menu if you have a larger party or just wanna mixtures of foods. The employees are nice and brought everything to our table giving more of a fast casual feel, rather than just fast food. Easy to make modifications to your order and everything comes out right.

The ribeye sandwich was a bit salty and there is a ton of fat that renders so its a bit oily.

It's a great sandwich and like everything else for 2 people it's around 40 bucks.. I got two sandwiches and one of them was a meal. I mean we can't escape the price point for fast food.. But overall the sandwich was good but not if your looking for a quick cheap meal. This is like hey I'm hungry let's go have a lunch and sit down.. Because if your paying that price just eat inside and treat it like a date or hangout. The ribeye sandwich is something I would say skip on just because of how salty and Willie was due to the fat rendering it leaves a very coated oil feel in your mouth after. Also share the fries because they're pretty salty too.

Finally tried the "new" Corner Deli today after being a fan of the old one for many years. I'm pleased to say that it's just as good as the old one! You can't go wrong with a friendly staff, carefully prepared food, and quality ingredients. My Mother Clucker was great, and so was the Hawaiian sandwich and the sweet potato fries (with their incredible garlic aioli) that we ordered. This place is very special. Don't miss it!

My all time favorite sandwich spot finally re opened!! . I Used to go to the old location and was so sad when it closed. I recently drove by and saw they re opened and now share a location with the wienerschnitzel. New location is so nice inside. You can tell the owner really cares. Got an Italian and a heater and got them both hot. They were even better than I remember. Everything tasted fresh and hot. Definitely gunna be coming here once a week: sweet potatoes fries with the garlic aioli are my favorite fries, they are a must try.

This new location/owner not as good as the original. The original location / owner was extremely friendly and paid high attention to detail making their food. The food at the new location was okay, but not worth the price. I ordered the Italian, with no lettuce and no tomato. My sandwich arrived with lettuce and tomato. I do not send my food back when it is incorrect due to who knows what someone might do to it. Staff was okay, but nothing to be desired. My total was $36.93, which I paid $40 cash, yet the receipt shows I paid $71 cash, so don't know what that was about.

Best pastrami. Like the fact this place is close to home and convenient to get a great tasting sandwich or salad, it's in the wienerschnitzel! Friendly and courteous staff. Owner really cares about customers.

Nothing left of a great cheesesteak sandwich

I have nothing to say but great service and food I ate everything great meat and bread for the cheesesteak sandwich the bomb you can't go wrong here highly recommend coming here I had to add I did order pastrami sandwich to take home for my daughter such a picky eater, she love the pastrami sandwich she said it was perfect

Korean BBQ sandwich is my favorite! Tastes the same as the previous location. I'm glad it is back in town.

I was really happy to see corner deli had reopened. Was left disappointed with the taste. Not as good as the original. It has potential to get there I think. A hint of the past flavor is there. The sandwich had an overall taste of burnt griddle and grease. Maybe if they clean the griddle more often it would be best. Not sure if I will be going back. Really miss the original. And there was no pickle!

The first time here a the food is delicious I had the Moo Moo pastrami sandwich tasty will be back when I'm around town for sure !!!

This sandwich shop is pretty awesome. The food is very good, the prices are reasonable and you can hang out and watch tv all day if you want to (but can't imagine why anyone would do that here when you can go to Hooters). I had the prime rib sandwich which was delicious. My boy had the Don Won and he liked it a lot. They are closed on Sundays. read more

Wow. This place is a locals favorite. Small and simple inside with line cooks working in overdrive to turn out amazing specialty sandwiches to the waiting crowd. Sweet potato fries are the bomb - crispy and not greasy. Had the Mother Clucker - diced chicken, avocado, Asian slaw, cheese and bacon. Heaven! One sandwich could be easily shared. $11 for sandwich, fries and a drink. Based on quality and service totally worth it! read more

I came here because I saw a lot of 5 star reviews on yelp. This place was clean with a large menu out front before you walk in. Lots of blue collar customers coming to pick up sandwiches. The girl behind the counter was nice and suggested a lot of sandwiches that were popular. I ordered the penguin because I love squaw bread. It was turkey and avocado. The sandwich was OK, nothing spectacular but good. It came with fries or chips and a drink around $10. Will go back to try more of their popular sandwiches to see what the fuss is about. read more

I've tried the KBBQ sandwich (aka bulgoki hoagie) and the Italian sandwich to take advantage of the $5 cold sandwich deal. Great quality, great quantity, great customer service (would help to add another register to feed a line of customers), clean facilities, and great variety! The staff is super friendly and I've never had a bad sandwich, they don't skimp on the toppings. Onioin rings are crisp,The batter they use is fantastic similar to beer batter. Can't coment on the salads or the melts, I've never tried them. If you haven't been check it out, so far its the best sandwich shop I've found in the area. read more

I was introduced to the Corner Deli by some coworkers. It has become our favorite lunch spot for many of us here at work. My top three sandwiches are the Hawaiian, The Penguin and the Buffalo Chicken. I cant get enough of those! They have a good variety of sandwiches and every single item is unique. It gets really busy during lunch hour on weekdays, so keep that in mind. We always call in advance to place our order, it makes it a lot easier. The service is excellent and they're always happy to serve you. If you're ever in the area and want to try some delicious sandwiches stop by here! read more

Not going to lie, I tried this place last Friday and I've gone back 4 times already, including today. The meet meat sandwich with spicy peanut sauce is haunting my dreams and everyone at work thinks im weird for eating at the same place everyday. This place is awesome! I walked in with my doubts considering the only reviews I've seen were all 5 stars. Please keep in mind sandwiches were never really my forte, but part of that could be a lack of good sandwich establishments in the area. However, this place now sets the bar for me. My first visit was with a couple of co-workers. Service was super friendly, and despite a decent crowd we were able to get our food relatively quickly. Against my instincts I ordered the prime rib sandwich, while my colleague ordered the korean bbq sandwich. My sandwich had prime rib, grilled onions, garlic aoli (yum) and provolone cheese. It also comes with a horseradish cream sauce, but I'm always leary of horseradish sauces since they are always hit and miss for me so I ordered it on the side. It actually wasn't bad. Not too strong, but not too weak. My coworker loved the korean bbq sandwich! For my next visit, I have to try the pastrami. This will be the ultimate test. If it tops the Hat in terms of pastrami, I will officially give this place the title of best sandwich place I know. Highly recommended! read more

SOOO YUMMY!! My friend and I shared the Don Won and the KBBQ sandwich here and boy was it good! I definately prefer this place over any other sandwich shops I have been too, such as Subway, Panera, Corner Bakery, etc. The service was fast and friendly. The sandwiches were hot n ready, and flavorful. I'm actually still craving them ever since the last time I went! Definitely coming back when I am in the area again. read more

We ordered 5 sandwiches, The Penguin, Mother Clucker, The Cheesesteak, The California Club, and the Pastrami. I read that it is best to eat here but I took home anyway. The Penguin was FANTASTIC! Loved it! The Mother Clucker is super tender, Juicy so get a few napkins, lots of flavor. The Cheesesteak was okay according to the Husband... Did a quick yelp search today when we were passing through Ontario on my way to Las Vegas. Wanted to have something other than the same old boring fast food, and boy did we get it. The food here was fantastic. I really don't even know how to express how happy I was with my choice, and my partner was equally thrilled with hers. As it was a Thursday I partook in the "Don Won" special combo for $8, which was such an incredible deal. The sandwich was overloaded with wonderfully tender, nicely seasoned pastrami and filled with french fries, sweet coleslaw and complimented by tons of gooey provolone. My partner had the "Meet Meat" sandwich which she said was just to die for. Pure meat heaven filled with a generous portion of roast beef, turkey, ham, salami, bacon and finished with large slices of cheddar cheese. I highly suggest if you are ever in the neighborhood of Ontario Mills mall, you stop off at this treasure of a restaurant. read more

Guided by Yelpies I just popped in here for lunch. Sweet cracker sandwich, what a find! It looks like your basic small strip mall sandwich joint. But once you look at the menu, hmmm. Some interesting sandwiches there, with a lot of asian styles. I got a Mother Clucker, a toasted sandwich with chicken breast, avocado, bacon, coleslaw, muenster on a garlic cheese roll. Damn, that was the best sandwich I have had in a long, long time. It was big, and it was perfect, with fabulous quality ingredients. Then to cap it off, I had a side of sweet potato fries that were done perfectly. So just a great lunch. That's all. read more

The sandwiches here were great. I had the "Siamese Sam" sandwich which contained grill chicken topped with some Thai peanut sauce which was very tasty. The second sandwich I had was the "Don Won" which was delicious, it contained pastrami, French fries, and cole slaw. Service was great as well. Definitely would come back! read more

This was my time eating here; and I was not disappointed. The food is prepared fresh and with quality ingredients. I arrived 10 minutes before closing time, as they were preparing to close. They welcomed me and we're very nice as they took my order and prepared my food. I ordered the Philly cheese steak, Korean BBQ sandwiches, sweet potato fries, and regular fries. The sandwiches were awesome I was only able to eat half of one. The fries were good too. They have and extensive sandwich menu and I will be going back. IJS... read more

This place has a great menu and the sandwiches are very fresh. Gentleman who helped us was super friendly and seemed to be the manager and/or owner. Our food came out super quick and the restaurant was very clean, restroom (ladies) was clean as well. My husband got the pastrami, my daughter got the Mother Clucker and I got the Italian. This place is a must try. Beats out any other sandwich shop in the area. read more

DELICIOUS! My new favorite hot sandwich place. I was never too big on hot sandwiches but I've just been converted. Thank you to my fellow yelpers for pointing me to this place. I ordered the KBBQ sandwich - scrumptious. My friend ordered the Prime Rib sandwich, which was pretty darn good as well. Great value. Our food was piping hot when we got it and it was at a good price! I have yet to try the pastrami but that will be my next sandwich to try. Not too many people were eating there so I really hope this place isn't hurting for business. Please go check it out if you're in the Ontario area. read more

Well I finally got back here for the pastrami last Sunday night and it was absolutely wonderful!!! Nice juicy meat (and plenty of it) great soft but crunchy roll with just the right amount of pickles and mustard!! Woo Hoo it's official this is my go to place for Pastrami for sure!!! read more

This place is awesome. All of they're sandwiches are full of flavor. I especially like the pastrami, one of the best I've tried. My wife loves they're cheesesteak. I had never tried sweet potatoe fries so I gave them a try. They're ok but I'll stick to regular ones. The service is really good also. Overall a great place. read more

I.LOVE.THIS.PLACE The Korean BBQ sandwich is my absoulte favorite! It's a hot sandwich that comes with Korean BBQ ribeye, asian slaw, pepper jack cheese and a garlic aioli on a soft/chewy roll. I have never had a sandwich quite like it and order it every single time I go. They are very consistent with their food, always good! The staff is very friendly and personable. I believe that the owners work there every day. I brought my toddler to lunch there one day and the gentleman taking the orders gave him a free pack of oreo cookies. read more

Came here for lunch and got the Korean BBQ sandwich with potato salad and drink for $9. Sandwich comes on a 10" roll piled high with rib eye marinated in a ginger soy sauce and Asian slaw-absolutely delicious. Potato salad needed some work and was too sweet and potatoes were undercooked for my liking. Give this place a try over any franchise. read more

History

Established in 2010.

Corner Deli was founded by Don Won, who brought his own twist to classic deli sandwiches by combining bold flavors with a passion for quality food. What started as a simple idea grew into a local favorite known for doing things differently. Over time, the deli was passed down to his nephew Daniel, who continued the tradition. When Daniel was ready to move on, Corner Deli was purchased by Nick, a longtime customer and local business owner who also owns a Wienerschnitzel nearby. Nick had been a loyal fan of Corner Deli for years and believed it was too special to disappear. With a vision to bring it back stronger, he relocated the deli inside Wienerschnitzel and officially reopened in January 2026. Today, Corner Deli continues its legacy with a renewed focus on quality, consistency, and bold, crave-worthy sandwiches for the Ontario community.

Having tasted almost all the sandwhiches here, I can honestly say I haven't yet been disappointed. They have a vast array tasty and different sandwhiches that you won't find at just any sandwhich joint, and these ones will blow any subway sandwhich out of the water. If I were to choose one it would definitely be the Don Won. This had got to me the best pastrami sandwhich I've ever tasted, mind you, I've grown up with The Hat not too far away. I just don't see a reason to go there anymore seeing that Corner Deli offers a better sandwhich at a better price. Service is excellent. I've come to know the owners and their son ever wince they first started, you'll typically see the Dad or son taking orders at the register. Protip: you can call in your order and they will always be ready once you get there. Pro tip 2: sweet potato fries with garlic aioli sauce is orgasmic and pairs perfectly with a Don Won. My review is solely based on the BBQ sandwich that was recommended by the cashier and apparently is their biggest seller. Rather than a microwave that is widely used with Togo's or Subway, the thin slices of meat are heated on a grill (or skillet?) which creates a tender smoky flavor within the meat and veggies. Furthermore, the soft bread is warmed by holding a 1/2lb of thinly sliced Korean meat, onions, and cheese. To top off this already juicy concoction, a spicy sweet Korean sauce accompanies the sandwich, providing a flavor that isn't typically found in your basic sandwich joints. I have always gone to Ontario Wienerschnitzel because it's close to my work and it may be the cleanest fast food establishment I have ever entered... anyways I've been seeing the signs at the store about the Corner Deli coming soon to this store (so same building and owner and everything just two options, hot dogs or sandwiches). So I went there today to get some corn dogs and I saw it was finally open. The owner happened to be there and I asked him what he recommended and he said try the #6 MotherClucker. I ordered the cheesesteak sandwich, and it did not disappoint--the steak had amazing flavor, was cooked perfectly, and paired so well with the melted cheese. This place is annoyingly busy during lunch hours so prepare for a little wait. When you do order though everything on the menu is great. And I mean everything. I even tried the SOS salad on sandwich and no I'm not a vegetarian. Add the peanut dressing to that one for a really quick meal when you're feeling guilty about eating all their other sandwiches.
